President George W. Bush's famous statement "you can't fool me again" should serve as a reminder to Americans for what's on the line this election season. Ed Schultz goes through Mitt Romney's lies from last week's debate and sets the record straight.
Can you afford to get fooled again?

During the next debate when Romney states another lie, BO should channel Regan and say "There you go again", and hold up an imaginary etch-a-sketch and shake it.
Excellent idea Michael....
Only republicans want to be fooled again, we libs are smarter than that.
You libs suffer from cranial insertion of the rectal cavity. Barry has never been called out on his gfailed policies by either the media or his inner circle of chicago thugs. He is a failure and will be voted out in less than 30 days from now.
sure you are...
We didn't support Reagan nor did we support papa Bush nor did we support that moron GWB, that would be conservatives who live in delusional land where they will need GOP tax cuts which has people like robme laughing behind closed doors that they ensure their dim witted supporters can't get in by making it a private club. So hows it feel to be hood winked for 35 years into believing a myth that some day you will need the 1% tax cuts.
Republicans will pay a heavy price
For failing to fulfill the People's need.
They think their wealthy backers will suffice
To get them reelected, so why pay heed?
But backers don't buy votes, they make up lies,
While those with pockets picked will know what's true.
You don't retain a thief for further tries,
You fire him, so your wallet stays with you.
These bandits think we won't care how they're hiding
Their projects buried deep within their bill,
But we can see what menace is overriding,
Won't allow the world to weaken to their will.
Even President Bush told truth back then,
"Fool me once, shame on you, won't get fooled again!"
The only fools are the Obama campaign running ads with big bird as a criminal. LOL
What a bunch of leftwing nuts...hahahahahahaha
You got it all wrong Woolard is the criminal..Chicken Hawk feathers and all.
I think is time for Eric Holder to investigate the Church of LDS for soliciting for campaign contributions. And all the other illegal suspicious activities they have been doing.
In June 2011, a member of the Mormon general authority used LDS Church email to solicit campaign contributions for Willard Romney's run for president. W. Craig Zwick, who is a member of the church's First Quorum of the Seventy and father of Romney's finance chairman wrote, "How much can you contribute to the Romney for President Committee today? You can only give $2,500 max for you and your wife. Let me know — let's take back America!" According to Revenue Ruling 2007-41 of the IRS, the law "prohibits political campaign activity by charities and churches by defining a 501(c)(3) organization as one "which does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office."

How bout investigating Obama's fund raising that could include money from foreigners. I'm sure that will never happen as long as he's in office. Notice I said "could" because like most republicans I don't call people liars and cheats before there is absolute proof. But there is some pretty strong implications that that is exactly what is happening. I don't want foreigners selecting our president. And Eric Holder needs to be investigated for lots of things.
Oh I believe you are mistaken after all it is the Chamber of Commerce that supports GOP candidates and because of citizens united they don't have to disclose where they get their donations from. But I understand really tea bagged republicans always claim others guilty of their crimes.
You have a lot of explaining to to whomitmay:
What about the funds coming from China possibly? illegal foreign funds to your buddy's campaign.
What about Hillary and all of Obama's other people saying that they never said all of the violence that killed our Ambassador was due to reaction from the famous video?
What do you think of Obama spending so much time on Big Bird?
With all of this happening to your man with just over 3 weeks until the election, are you worried at all yet whomitmay?
Mitt Romney is carrying himself in a first class way and really connecting with the people of this country and you lefties cannot stand it and you will say anything to try to distract from this fact. "liar, liar, pants on fire" Come on whomitmay......
Mitt Romney says in a new interview that one of the reasons he's distressed about disclosing his tax returns is that everyone sees how much money he and his wife, Ann, have donated to his Mormon church, and that's a number he wants to keep private.

"Our church doesn't publish how much people have given," Romney tells Parade magazine in an edition due out Sunday (Aug. 26). "This is done entirely privately. One of the downsides of releasing one's financial information is that this is now all public, but we had never intended our contributions to be known. It's a very personal thing between ourselves and our commitment to our God and to our church."
Romney also jokes in the Parade interview about the high cost of paying tithes, though Ann Romney notes how important it is to them.
"I love tithing," Ann Romney tells the magazine. "When Mitt and I give that check, I actually cry."
I'll bet she cries! She and Woolard will cry some more when they get audited!

Presidential Debate: Nice Guys Finish Last
On 10/3, President Obama may have finally found for himself that the same “nice guy” attitude that had won him the presidency almost four years ago, that had failed him so miserably in dealing with the opposition party, had failed him once again in tonight’s debate. Defending his supposed failures in the face of a man who did not even know what his real failures were, represents an undeserved defense of his campaign directors who, unfortunately, seem to know so little about governing. Sorry Sir, while the challenger may essentially ignore his own faults and attack the incumbent president’s policies, the president, for his part is required to ignore the attacks, to thereby prove that he believes in his own policies!
Mr. Obama and his lacklustre crew need to check in with Bill Clinton, much as they should have done a few years ago before they botched the expiration of the Bush tax cuts, the debt ceiling, the Bowles-Simpson recommendations, the passage of a proposed jobs package and the war in Afghanistan. In all instances, conciliation to the Republicans cost Mr. Obama in terms of the accountability and effectiveness of his presidency. Bill Clinton would have let the Bush tax cuts expire before dealing with salivating Republican congressmen who were willing to sacrifice their first born offspring for the cuts. Bill Clinton would have dealt with Nancy Pelosi and her unpopular and impractical attitude toward necessary compromise. He would have pushed modest military cuts, modest tax increases, modest corporate tax cuts for domestic manufacturers and producers and applied all savings toward payment of the national debt. Miserable historians that they are, Mr. Obama’s advisors did not remember the unexpected bonanza accruing to Mr. Clinton and the American people when his policies resulted in lowered interest rates on the debt to the tune of extra hundreds of billions of dollars. Instead, through the President’s failure to implement any of these things, the ensuing interest hike alone resulted in an extra trillion dollars tacked on to the national debt.
Meanwhile, In lieu of replacing many of his advisors, perhaps our chief executive ought to learn how to better communicate with average Americans the way he did when he was candidate Obama- when all he had to do was attack the ghost of Junior Bush. Assuming that most American voters don’t know what a Trojan condom is, let alone a “Trojan Horse,” perhaps he should have reminded his opponent about the almost two trillion dollars “stolen” by him and his party from the “47%’s” hard earned payroll tax, every last cent, to finance his tax cuts! Perhaps he should have looked at senior, Jim Lehrer, and asked what he would do after being hospitalized, God forbid, under “Ryancare” and subsequently denied insurance coverage for any price, let alone the token eight thousand dollar voucher to be so charitably “donated” to him for purchase of private insurance. He might have asked about the fate of the extra hundreds of thousands of dollars Mr. Lehrer had so generously chipped into the Social Security / Medicare Trust Fund over the years. Where will that money go, to a privatized post office, privatized prisons, a privatized armed forces? Perhaps he should have asked: What else are you and your partners going to privatize, Mitt, at five or ten times the government’s present cost to the public?
The above advice is free, of course, and written in plain English, a language no longer spoken in Washington, D.C. For a free translation in Sanskrit or Akkadian or whatever language it is that Mr. Obama’s campaign staff speaks, feel free to contact me.

An Open Letter to the American Middle Class
(Sooknarine, Teekuck, AddictingInfo.org, October 9, 2012) “One thing that is overlooked in this Presidential race is the lack of Mitt’s character and honesty… a telling sign of what a person is really made of. It is no secret that Mitt Romney has been caught telling lies about everything under the sun: he is called out on his changing opinions and ‘flip flops’ from sun up to sun down.”
The stakes in this election are very high for the American Middle Class, even higher for those in need, the poor, disabled and disenfranchised. But for the American Middle Class in particular, we have been under siege for the last 30 years. Incomes have been stagnant, our jobs outsourced overseas, higher education becoming out of reach for our children and the high cost of healthcare bankrupting our financial status.
The very fabric of the social compact is in jeopardy and yet we have a close election. This seems to make no common sense to me. The Republican Party has not done “ONE” thing to help the American Middle Class, they have removed and want to remove regulation in the banking and financial industry that has already sent us into the Great Recession. They promise to impose a so-called “Christian” Theocracy on all Americans, void of science and fact; increasingly interested in our reproductive rights and our personal freedoms and privacy. The GOP has exhibited a lack of “COMPASSION” for the poor and the sick that is clearly anything by Christ-like.
Under our current tax system, a parent can leave up to five million dollars to their children, but Romney wants to do away with that limit, obviously to leave his hundreds of millions to his children without paying any taxes at all. This may seem fair in a first glance, but originally the five million limits were set so that the family home could be passed on within the family. Mitt Romney also wants to cut taxes by another 20% on the wealthiest 1% of this Country. All of this has to be paid for, and how do the Republicans want to pay for this? With the social compact, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Benefits, VA Hospitals, Food Stamps, Affordable Care Act, Education Grants and Loans, with the entire social safety net.
But in the debate Mitt Romney lied to us, softened his words like the serpent to Jesus he promised us the world for our Middle Class souls. Whispering to us, I am a good guy, I have “ALL” of your interests at heart; despite the fact that in a secret video he had disdain for 47% of Americans, our seniors, our veterans and our fighting warriors in harm way. He tells you with such concern and empathy as if he were “SELLING” funeral insurance that his healthcare plan will “ALSO” cover pre-existing conditions, we want to believe his Pepsodent smile and sympathetic head tilt. But the serpent is a liar, as his staff comes behind him to uncover his lies, no Mitt Romney has NO PLAN to cover those with pre-existing conditions. The serpent tells us to our face, with shock and hurt in his eyes, “I have no plans to give the wealthiest among you a tax cut, where did you hear such a thing” without missing a beat, the lies go on and we want to believe. But what is at risk in those beliefs are Medicaid for those in convalescent homes, the Mortgage Interest Exemption for those of us in the suburbs that own homes and the Charitable Deduction which will decimate the Red Cross, Easter Seals, March of Dimes and Catholic Charities. Cuts aimed directly at the America Middle Class….yet we want to believe…
America “WE” must be ever vigilant this election, it CANNOT BE ABOUT STYLE, the serpent is all about style. The serpent has told us the truth, but we must read between the lines. They have told you they want to convert Medicare in to a voucher system; they have told you that they want to shred the Safety Net, and they want to remove regulations so that they can use every last resource in this Country, pollute our air, water and coastlines. If you listen they are telling you what they are going to do. They are going to outlaw a woman’s freedom over her body, they are going to impose their beliefs on gay Americans, and they are going to impose “THEIR” form of Christianity of all Christians and non-Christians alike.
Remember the serpent looks for your prejudices the weaknesses in your humanity and that is where he weaves his web of deceit. Mitt Romney is not TRUSTWORTHY he will betray the American Middle Class; he will make it harder for you and your family to live free, to pursuit happiness. Some in the Press have great intentions, “WE” as American must be vigilant, and character and honesty do matter.
A warning to all, if the Republican Party is able to win this election by cheating (voter suppression) and lying….Democracy is dead, because both Parties will take that as a signal that the TRUTH is dead and that “WE” would prefer corruption and lies to civility and trust. The Press has a responsibility to CHAMPION the TRUTH; they are already on the precipice of irrelevance. So goes the Truth, so goes the Press and so goes DEMOCRACY…
I cannot believe that Ed Schultz has pulled out that video of Bush messing up the fool me once saying. I am a Bush fan and I even thought that was hilarious.
The fact that Ed drags that up is not funny though. It is just plain pathetic. Old videos, Big Bird, boy, you people are getting desperate.
I do want to know if any of you libbies out there remember when Obama said the girl was going to the hospital with her annialator....when he mean inhaler. Or when he said he has visited 57 states...and all of the other boo boos when he did not have a teleprompter. Could some of you people comment on these statement?
OK libbers...someone explain to me what is going on now with Hillary and her staff saying they never said our Ambassador and the others were killed because of a reaction to the video? Are they for real? How do you lefties feel about this?..........and Obama saying for 2 weeks it was the video? Lets hear it.
I also want to hear what you think about the corrupt funds coming to Obama's campaign from overseas...maybe China. Any thoughts?
Last thing today and I won't embarass you people any more.
What about the report in the news today. They billionaire supplying the Obamaphones.
A Mexican telecom mogul who holds the title of world's richest man, and one of President Obama's top donors are both getting even richer from the U.S. government program that supplies so-called "Obamaphones" to the poor.
Barack Obama has a lot of explaining to do these last 25 days, don't you think?
Lets see if anyone can respond with calling anyone names or cursing.
Evening, fellow Americans. A couple of books worth reading: "How TO Win An Election" by Quintus Tullius Cicero; Second: "Idiot America" by Charles P. Pierce.
Question: Does Mitt Romney have the most potent snake-oil formula on the market? He has the ability to change that formula anywhere, anytime, to anyone, at any cost.
The formula's name: Chameleon.
An example: during the first debate, Governor Romney had said that Americans with preexisiting health conditions will be covered under his health plan. Soon thereafter, that same evening, his senior advisor, was reported saying: well, actually that is not true. And, so... swoosh, stir up that formula, shake that etchesketch, and....Voila! I just got some more fickleminded Americans to gulp down that ever Romney-potent. Romney-presence Chameleon........Hee, hee, hee, hee, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
note to site. remember that 47% comment, when Governor Romney was quoted and taped saying: "I am not going to convince them, I never will" Really, why not, are half Americans not worth it; is it because they cannot afford a fifty thousand dollar a plate dinner. And what about the Bain years? Was he for the middle class then?
Are you serious? Let me ask you this seven c's
Has Obama ever had a fund raising dinner for than $5.99 a plate. Just let me know that.....Why do you people point your finger at someone else when your guy does the same thing 10 times over? Why do you do that?
Is all you can do is cite that secret video? You don't think obama ever said anything that he did not mean literally? You are concentrating on that? You are going to lose if you do.
Clean the hundreds of thousand and thousands a plate dinners out of your own obama eye before you talk about Romney speaking at one of his. Ignorant!!
Only idiots and the uninformed were fooled in the first place. None are so blind as those who choose not to see.
@#12 Well said--there is none so blind as those who choose blindness. Many will be fooled.
