President Obama has the advantage in the race. He has been winning by 10 or so points all along. After the 1st debate, people just wanted to wake him up, as such the winning points are less. After VP Biden debates and the Presidents next 2 debates, president will increase his winning margin by more points. We need President Obama in white house for 4 more years.

Romney, can say what he wants. No sane person will listen to him any more. Only the corrupt could tolerate all his lies and mistaken causes.
Early voting opens at the county courthouse here tomorrow. I plan to be there to vote for OBAMA/BIDEN......On the day of election I will be an authorized poll watcher.
Obama will hopefully win the race, but right now Romney has the momentum, in large part due to the unprecedented number of "low information voters (read- STUPID PEOPLE). I am still hopeful that Obama has had the wake-up call he needed to whip his campaign into high gear.

There is one major law Obama signed that if Romney says he will repeal this one certain law it will all but secure a Romney victory.I won't say what this law is for I don't want Romney to win. With the debate the advantage slipped from Obama to Romney... Which leaves me worried, outraged and bewildered..... But what I think is really wrong is that Romney's now in reach of winning the election based on lies he made in the debate. I am afraid the middle class may cut their own throats based on Romney's lies. This is just wrong! There is a lot of anger out here. Romney tapped into that with his aggressive attitude allowed his lies and spin to work in his favor.
I think people are angry and we want to know that Obama has our back! The fight in Romney is appealing to the anger and frustration people are feeling. They need to realize that Romney will continue the Republican policy's that put us here. We can't afford for them to do us more harm!

I have claimed to be an independent, a frustrated independent, but actually I am an angry and very selfish individual who really didn't know what he supported until today. For those who have read my most recent articles I wish to offer an apology… I have been angry with a system of which I really knew nothing about.
I grew up in a small Southern city where the kids made fun of me for being poor, for having clothes with holes and stains, for old and faded shoes, for being different and unlikable by their standards. I hated being poor more than anything and used that energy to excel in academics. I finished college, medical school and residency and then went into private practice. Within just under a few years I was doubling annually what Mr. Obama considers the minimum gross salary to be considered rich. I never looked back… until recently.
Out of fear of losing a "portion" of what I felt was rightfully mine, I have suppressed an inner-voice that has been telling there is a better way for everyone and not just for me. So what if I grew up poor and so what if I worked my ass off to overcome my previous level in life… society needs us, begs us to contribute to the common good. Why? Because what is good for those at the lowest level is good for us all.
Some would argue that I deserve every penny I make, because of all the training and sacrifices I made to get to where I am today. They would argue that those at the bottom deserve their current station in life because they are lazy, ignorant or criminals. I used to agree with them until today. Last night, I finished reading an article on the site The Harvard Political Review called Liberalism versus Socialism by Adam Kern.
Please stay with me because I'm really "green" on all of this and please understand this is coming from the heart first and mind second. I have had it wrong. Liberalism, at least to me, is not about punishing or taking advantage of the rich. It is more about understanding that for a society to really work, and for everyone to have a decent shot at creating something better for themselves, then there needs to be some pre-set standard by which the lowest level of folks can live and prosper. This of course should include and not be limited to healthcare, housing, food stamps and expenses for education. To my conservative friends, if you're not seeing red yet, then keep reading.
There was a link at the bottom of the web page of Liberalism verses Socialism to a book written by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett. The book is titled The Spirit Level: Why Greater Equality Makes Societies Stronger. I read it from cover to cover today and it was an eye-opener. This may be a news flash to some and it was to me, but did you ever consider that the poor, unemployed and/or disabled suffer from not only financial constraints but from depression, low self-esteem, and just out right despair? Many folks come off as demanding and ungrateful, and I'm sure there is a small minority who are ungrateful or who abuse the system, but the majority are not that way. They are suffering and some seek easy means of relief such as bad habits and addiction, unwanted pregnancies and crime.
So what does that mean for America? I believe we have set our standards too low. I believe we are not doing enough to help those at the bottom. The "worst off" folks in America should be living at level that doesn't result in despair, that doesn't leave them depressed and hopeless. They should, at least, be thinking about a productive and promising future and not living at a level that is responsible for most of them staying at that level. It's not that they have too much and are content with it. They have too little and the majority are just unable to "break free." They cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel because they are too far from it.
The book makes the argument that if we raise the standards for benefits for the poor, disabled and unemployed then society will reap benefits as well. It argues that there will be many more folks rising above their current conditions and becoming productive members of society. They will be happier and more secure. Crime, bad habits and unwanted pregnancies will go down and less folks will need assistance. Instead of "trapping" them there, we will actually being giving them a fair chance to move on. And for those who can't work, the disabled and/or elderly, then they will at least have a much brighter future than the one that exists today.
To answer the question to the title "Do LIBERALS have it right, or are they just a bunch of idiots?" I would have to say yes, they do have it right and I'm the one that has been an idiot! There is so much more I could write, like what does this mean for tax-payers and corporations and so on. But, I believe this is enough for now. Thanks for reading it. Peace! :)

Unfortunately, it's not only the corrupt and/or insane for Romney (and the conspiracy-theorists: Birthers, etc, who don't believe Obama is Constitutionally qualified to be President). While you might argue that those who hate Obama are insane, and will be mostly correct, there's another category to be concerned about.
There are enough people out there for Romney because they don't trust Obama. While we would both likely agree that most people who distrust Obama somehow misunderstand him, for any number of reasons, nevertheless there are those who are pro-Romney because they trust that he is like them: Greedy, not an economic patriot, use tax havens as much as possible, etc. While immoral, those people are still rational.
Then, there are those who don't trust Obama because they consider him a socialist, a la Robin Hood, but unjustified in redistributing wealth to those who don't deserve it for whatever reason.
While we would argue that they are misguided, since its currently the rich who are benefitting from a Reverse-Robin-Hood redistribution due to an unjustifiable belief that the rich will create jobs given an unconditional tax break, whereas the rational way to set up the tax code would be to conditionally allow for a tax deduction only after the new jobs have been created.
As I've said many times already, I'm convinced that if Romney were to be elected President, we'll have that double-dip into the 2nd Great Depression, in large part because that would most likely mean that the GOP would have a majority of the Senate in addition to the House. (Even more damaging would be all the Supreme Court nominations, slanting SCOTUS further towards a pro-Corporate bias.)
I should probably chime in here because I think Mitt Romney will get us all killed.

I remember The republicans doing a number on California, just like now, once before. I remember California having a healthy surplus. It was under Pet Willson that the power companies were deregulated. That let in companies like Enron to game the system and drive prices for energy sky high. But by then Pet Willson was out of office and Gray Davis was put in the position of having to keep the power on. California was being held up big time by companies like Enron who were gaming the system. Mean while president Bush told Gray Davis that it was a Calif problem. It wasn't until the balance of power changed in the Senate that Calif got any co-operation from washington. Our surplus was being used up, stollen, to keep the lights on, and everything in the state with power. Bushes good buddy CEO, Kenneth Lay, at Enron had put us in the dark and in the hole. Of course Gray Davis being forced by circumstances, caused by the republican agenda to deregulate, needed to raise money with a tax.... On vehicles I believe. The people just didn't connect the dots back to deregulation of the power industry, the theft of our surplus was enabled by the republicans.
Yes they did a number on us..... Shame! I remember paying skyrocketing utility the bills. That's when I found out what the republicans would do for you. It's a listen to keep in mind. Now they are trying it again. This time it won't work. We know who is to blame!

Next,
ADD the total amounts and DEDUCT from the current $16 TRILLION.
The balance = GOP spending.

Expenses to FIX the GOP failed policies like TARP and the stimulus are still GOP spending and NOT Obama's fault so DO NOT count those policies.
All expenses from the previous GOP administration’s unfunded policies that Obama added to his budget is also Republican spending.
INTEREST on the GOP TRILLIONS of debt is NOT for Obama to be responsible for either, it is GOP spending too. They own that interest.
Also,
The Bailouts are LOANS to “repair” more GOP screwed up policies, the GOP wanted those to be FREE of charge, a ”going away gift” to the Banks and Wall Street, from Bush.
Do not add policies before Reagan because there was NO DEBT PROBLEM before that, Reagan took office when the debt had ONE TRILLION and could have been tackled and fixed with comprehensive tax reform but he did not.
Entitlements are a tiny fraction of the debt and they always bring their own revenues thru payroll deductions as premium payments. Entitlements are NOT free, it’s paid into insurance.
Saying that the Democrats had a “majority” doesn't count either, because we all know the filibustering, obstructing, uncompromising, DO NOTHING GOP party of pledges to “NEVER bring revenues” has had the “CONTROL” and all those failed GOP policies were drafted by Republicans AND all those policies passed with GOP majorities of votes going back to Reagan.
The CONS will NEVER have policies or numbers to blame on the Democrats because they DO NOT exist. Look them up, I tried. Every single policy at fault are GOP owned, drafted and vigorously voted by them.

had he paid only what he owed, he would have paid less than 10%, which makes his 13% claim another of his myriad lies.

Also, I have already shown how Romney can cut tax rates by 20% and still be revenue neutral. You may ask what is the point of cutting tax rates if the revenue isn't going to change......well as Romney correctly stated....there are many small businesses that would benefit from this because many do not pay the corporate rate ...... they pay the individual rate.....this would help small businesses and create growth.....pretty good idea if you ask me.

The deficit, debt, big spending proposed by RobUS, tax cuts and foreign affairs need to be scutinized with a microscope. I mean it........these other are the difference between our success to remain a Nation with justice for all.

I really did. In a nutshell, I saw a new Willard.....most everything he said was not what he's said before, except when he did say it before <s> plus a bit more that he will more than likely attempt to switch at the next debate, which is not so unusual except that he did it all at once and nearly became a Democrat.
Obama appeared a bit stunned even though he should have been aware ahead of time and prepared for Willard to pull a stunt like he did but, not being a strategist, I can't guess what it was really all about. The note taking is something that I would have done because now, in front of millions Americans, Willard has declared that these are his ideas this time.
Will watch the next debate and see what shakes out. Looking forward to the VP debates. Should be a bit more fun even though there's nothing funny about choosing a POTUS.........serious business to me and this election more than ever.
