It didn't take very long for the Obama campaign to dub the Romney-Ryan ticket as The Go Back Team and release a video ad about Mitt Romney's announcement that Rep. Paul Ryan was his vice president pick.
The video, which includes an audio snippet from The Ed Show, attacks Ryan's budget plan and Romney's embrace of it.
As President Obama exited the White House today for a helicopter ride to Joint Base Andrews, he ignored reporters who tried to get him to weigh in on Romney's choice of Ryan.
But Obama campaign manager Jim Messina released the following statement:
"In naming Congressman Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney has chosen a leader of the House Republicans who shares his commitment to the flawed theory that new budget-busting tax cuts for the wealthy, while placing greater burdens on the middle class and seniors, will somehow deliver a stronger economy. The architect of the radical Republican House budget, Ryan, like Romney, proposed an additional $250,000 tax cut for millionaires, and deep cuts in education from Head Start to college aid. His plan also would end Medicare as we know it by turning it into a voucher system, shifting thousands of dollars in health care costs to seniors. As a member of Congress, Ryan rubber-stamped the reckless Bush economic policies that exploded our deficit and crashed our economy. Now the Romney-Ryan ticket would take us back by repeating the same, catastrophic mistakes."

Whats the saying if it looks like a Rat and crawl like a Rat it must be Romney and Ryan
Love the alliteration, Tammy!! Canadian Liberty can you vote????
Yes a clear definite choice, wheather this country prefers to spend tax dollars on its own citizens health, infastructure, and well being, or continue to give the Pentagon a blank check, spending obscene amounts of money on defense.
We have just ended one war and are winding down another, the Pentagon "money pit" must end. We cannot afford every new weapons system the Pentagon can dream up, nor are they needed.
These tax dollars can put people to work building bridges, roads, schools, hiring teachers and making government buildings more energy efficient.
We do not need to spend billions so republican voters can have cushy, well paying jobs working for defense contractors building missiles, bombs, and other weapons.
If the jobs are needed, they can be created and formed in other areas besides defense, employing a lot more people for the same amount of bucks, I'm sure.
American citizens healthcare should always be priority one
Your opinion won't really affect the election, so thanks for chiming in.
Obama will handily win with this pair but like I said, it doesn't affect you, so need to worry. Signing off.
Somebody's fate is sealed, but it's not Obama's. Unless you mean by that, he's WINNING!!! And I'm sure you do. You can blah, blah all you want, but you can see the writing on the wall. Robme & Ryan are going down in flames! WooHoo!
Right except Ryan only polls at 27% outside of Ryans district Ryan is an unknown just like Palin was an unknown. News hawks now all about Ryan but 54% don't know anything about Ryan and when they find out it is the throw grandma off the cliff guy I doubt that Ryan will fair any better then Palin.

[Delete extra space between first 2 //]
Milton is a little town near Janesville, WI - the biggest town in his district.
Could he even win re-election in his district?
Kathy Hochul (D) won in 2011 to fill the vacancy in the NYS 26th. The Ryan Budget (2011 version) was the only issue. She should never have had a chance of winning in a district that has been solid Republican and went for McCain in 2008.
In the 2010 election in that district, the Democrats did not even field a candidate. Well they did - there was a name on the ballot, but the guy didn't even consider himself a candidate.
Boy for a know nothing canadian you sure are proving the you are a lying re reg.

Just another 'FACT" they will deny CC. But it's entertaining watching them do it..lol
If you are really Canadian, which I doubt, why don't you concern yourself with the problems in your own country? I sure President Obama has a higher approval rating in Canada than any repukelacan. Do you have some sort of mental condition that makes you sound like a fool or do you just like to spout moronic statements that get you ridiculed? If it's a mental condition, come to the U.S. and we can help you under Obama care. The Dems don't attack the less fortunate, unlike the racist, elitist 1%'s.
Interuppting my vacation to Post:
THANK YOU RIGHT WING NUTS FOR GIVING US RYAN AS A VP......
You just drove all democrats to the polls to vote in November!
C.L. By the T-party, do you mean that illiterate bunch of inbred idiots who are being paid by Koch to destroy our Democracy?
That way there will be no more fines for polluting the environment. Koch brothers are fined regularly now. They hate that. They want to own this country so they can do what the hell they want and run over whomever they wish.
Now their puppets have gone mainstream. And they will lose badly! I can't wait till the Democrats expose these two freaks for the rotten pigs they are.
No offense to pigs.
So agree Tmom & India. I knew it would be Ryan. A choice out of desperation. Now they have made their bed? coffin.

i'm with you there cc. when fake news has you behind in their poll there must be some truth to it right. robme and ranting(ryan) don't have a chance. OBAMA 2012
Obama has to focus on Romney and now Ryan. Can you even imagine if he were to run on Barack Obama's record? Political suicide.
What do you expect? "hey folks, we're at 8% unemployment, but in reality it is more like 11% with a consistent participation rate. Our solution is to spend even more money, more defecits, and then to raise taxes on the wealthy, those that already pay 95% of the taxes."
I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to just put the focus on the other guys? I doubt we see the above in an obama ad. Though, I would give him credit for honesty for the first time.
Where is Romney running on his record? Obama is running more from his record than Romney is. Can you show one single attack ad his campaign has released that has any mention of Romney? Can you name one signle positive ad from Romney?
Where's his record and it is quite relevant to discuss the records of BOTH candidates however that is not happening
Romney won't tell us any stories from his time at Bain
He won't talk about when he was running the olympics
He won't mention his time as governor
What is the Romney plan? Really? Republican strategists are asking the same question so suffer no delusions that this is a partisan attack to ask for specifics. When you're the challenger you don't get to not do that and be successful that is why Romney is not winning although it shouldn't be that hard for him.......
How will Romney create jobs? Lower taxes?
Taxes are low now how much lower can they realistically go? You can't lower them much more and still have the government the American people whether they know it or not do want? You know how much it costs to have a military and now since these wars are ending soon we are going to be hit with tremendous expenses for veteran care/rehabilitation. That is a debt we have and can not change we have an obligation no matter what the monetary costs.
Oh and let's not forget that Romney apparently wants to grow the military or at least that is what he has said many times in the past primary race so who nows what his core consistent and never personal that he's always had is.......maybe he doesn't but lets be honest it's not that easy to figure out what he thinks.....that's why I call him Roulette Romney 'cuz you spin the political wheel(voting) and you never know where it's gonna land. Every vote for him is a gamble.
He hasn't named one loopwhole he'd close. What are they? He's not saying.....

you got that right
I take it you couldn't come up with an actual instance where Romney has discussed his actual accomplishments. But it is no surprise because you know I'm right.
Here it is ! The most complete list of The 244 Accomplishments of President Barack Obama. This special list was compiled by Robert P. Watson, Ph. D., who is a presidential historian and Professor of American Studies at Lynn University. As some falsely claim " he hasn't done anything "....as you can plainly see by the incredible list, President Obama has OBVIOUSLY accomplished more in just 20 months than most president's have in 8 years. And there's MUCH work still ahead...which is why it is of VITAL importance that we work hard, through Unity...to make sure that EVERYONE we know votes on November 2....to LITERALLY Save America ! cc- I actually agree with you on your statement that Obama is running from his record. Romney can't say 5 words without bringing up his business experience, MA, or the Olympics. That's his record. He hasn't been President- so I assume you mean he hasn't run on that record. That's the role of the challenger. Remember Obama from 4 years ago- ran against Bush's record. This year- as you said- running away from his record but still against Bush.
cc tm
please explain to me how Obama will solve this problem in language i can understand dumb a#@ that i am. Or better still why this is not a problem. I know how Ryan will deal with it.

Mom- I was shocked to read your list and see that Obama is being given credit for inventing toilet paper.
I love it ! Romney did exactly What the Obama campain wanted ! we win now for sure !
Oh, wow, CL!! Give us a youtube that gives Ryan a voice, but excludes the President's response and then follow it up with a FAUX News youtube. That's what i call meeting the abstract with the abstract.
Sorry Obama isn't like robmehood who lies and giggles when he lies.
Sorry but again your wrong but hey when you are a lying tea bagged republican re reg, we already knew that you wouldn't know the truth if it fall out of robmehoods magic underpants and slapped you in the kisser.
Fact Checking the GOP debate: $500 billion in cuts to
Medicare?
The Pinocchio Test: two..... O-- O--
Romney's statement (and, to some extent, Boehner's recent remark) fall in
the category of technically correct but misleading. It's rather rich for
Republicans to complain about $500 billion in supposed cuts to Medicare that
they themselves would retain, even under the cover of helping Medicare.
Bachmann's statement is further off the mark because of her assertion that
seniors would suffer at the hands of the youth. The Medicare savings in the
health care law are aimed at providers, not seniors; meanwhile seniors stand to
benefit from aspects of the health care law that Republicans want to repeal. On
top of that, people younger than 55 might face significantly higher premiums
under the GOP plan for Medicare. We're giving her two Pinocchios.
C L, are you still here? I have "ignored this author" on this site, but the notice that I have ignored you still takes up valuable space in this intelligent sharing of philosophies. You may have to do it more than once, I did. then he can waste his time, just like robme is wasting his. C L, no, I am not ignoring you because I disagree with you, I just don't have time to listen to your faux talking points. Don't bother to respond to this as I have deleted your rants, just in case you couldn't figure it out on your own.
Do you think we don't realize that Wall street and the 1%'s, that have a lot of control over hiring in the companies that they control through stock holdings are putting a hold on hiring in order to make President Obama look bad? The 1%'s had better start to realize that we are not a bunch unthinking robots to be used and tossed aside. We can figure out when we are being conned.
Whomitmay, I thought I was the only person who noticed that when he lies, Romney gives a little laugh. LOL!
Especially when he's asked about his taxes!...lol....I'll be watching the debates carefully to see when he giggles, thats for sure.
Speaking of village idiots, Fox news called, they need you back.
Bryan, it does appear that Romney has written off the far left, msnbc crowd.
This is a weak response to the Romney/Ryan ticket. They need to show the facts of the Ryan budget in sounds byte format of course, but talking head pundits will only be viewed by independents and moderate republicans as making their own opinion. Put the facts in the ad, not just the talking points!
Good point, David. And don't forget the fact that Medicare and Social Security "as we know it" will go bankrupt and end up helping no one.
David, those are the facts. The major fact is that Ryan's budget leaves out details that are needed to be scored by organizations and groups not named the Heritage Foundation. Each analyst that you viewed gave specific things from the plan. Trust and believe that this is beginning of an all out assault on the Romney/Ryan ticket.
Jude, Those are the facts in the abstract. The Obama/Biden campaign need to show those facts in the concrete!
CL,
You are so ridiculously funny...with emphasis on the ridiculous! LOL

@CL Re: #3.6
You really need to check the definition of Marxist - you seem to have it WRONG.
As a liberal, there is nothing particularly "Liberal" about President Obama's policies.
So maybe you should look up the definition of Liberal, too.
We do? Another lie it is re regs that call anyone left of Hitler liberal, how do we know because you lie.
CL,#3.9 You are clueless. You are a mindless re-reg troll whom no one wants here. No one cares to hear your BS. Obama is nothing like a Marxist or even a socialist and I am tired of hearing that lie. Obama is a CENTRIST DEMOCRAT.
Let's try the facts for once.
Fact, Ryan's voucher system for Medicare will cost seniors an EXTRA $6,350.00 a year. Most cannot afford anywhere near that.
Ryan's tax plan will give the millionaires and billionaires a tax cut costing 4.3 TRILLION dollars. A big deficit raiser!
Middle class families, or average Americans will pay $2000.00 per person for this tax break to the wealthy who neither need it or even want it.
People will die due to lack of medicaid and the drastic changes in medicare in the Ryan plan.
The only consolation is that this will surely lose them the election as NO ONE but the crazies will vote for this immoral piece of crap these two embrace. Even the Obama haters won't vote to be screwed this way! Seniors vote, and many have kids under 55 who will be hurt terribly by the Ryan budget!
This is worse than Sarah Palin. She could see Russia from her house. People will see bankruptcy from theirs!
And you're a nutcase posing as a 'Canadian'.
CL, #3.12 Then why DID you respond to me, A.H. ?
LOL. Projection, projection. A.H.
CL. Seems you're the one who is in need of attention here. Just can't get the last word in can you. You are attacking well informed people here. Go cry somewhere else.
PS: you just invented your self and you can't post a real link. Haven't you noticed?
I honestly doubt CL is canadian. I doubt CL know what time of day it is with mommy teling him/her. Proves with every key he/she knows nothing. But give him/her some slack. CL, post some links to back up your "marxist/socalist" BS. If you are canadian, which you're not, what the hell differance does it make to you. Last I heard canada has more than it's share of problems. And yes, I have freind that are canadian. That's another way I know you're not.
oh liberty i have to ask, when did biden get booed at the naacp? still drinking that tea party koo;-aid isee. well as usual you are just spouting off about nothing
oh you only wish that had actually happened. a bit dillusional here as usual.
Billie, That was Romney whom the NAACP booed, not Biden. I watched both speeches. Biden's was amazing, it was a virtual love fest! One of the best speeches Joe ever gave.
yes india i know this. i was watching that speech and laughed when mutt was booed. biden was so energized by the same crowd. but you know how stupid these repukes are.
so so right...GO OBAMA
If recovery you mean back to the policies that was based on ideology from Bush/Cheney/Rove/Rumsfeld and company, I'll pass on that.
More lying tea bagged republican re reg bull@!$%#. Here a clue, a good driver plays attention to everything around them instead of throwing the car in R and backing the car right off the cliff.
By that way of thinking, Canadian, you should stop looking back to when you learned to look both ways before crossing the street, and not to touch a hot stove.
Somebody get this re-reg out of here. Please! One damn lie after another just to make trouble. Enough!!
Want a crying towl when your boy Mutt/Ryanomics gets their asses handed to them in November?
The Facts
First of all, under the health
care bill, Medicare spending continues to go up year after year. The health care
bill tries to identify ways to save money, and so the $500 billion figure comes
from the difference over 10 years between anticipated Medicare spending (what is
known as “the baseline”) and the changes the law makes to reduce spending. (Look
at slide 15 of this nifty tutorial on the law’s impact on Medicare by the
Kaiser Family Foundation to see a chart of the year by year savings.)
The savings actually are wrung from health-care providers, not Medicare
beneficiaries. These spending reductions presumably would be a good thing, since
virtually everyone agrees that Medicare spending is out of control. In the House
Republican budget, lawmakers repealed the Obama health care law but retained all
but $10 billion of the nearly $500 billion in Medicare savings, suggesting the
actual policies enacted to achieve these spending reductions were not that
objectionable to GOP lawmakers.
The Obama health care law also
raised Medicare payroll taxes by $113 billion over 10 years, further
strengthening the program’s financial condition, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Since about
half of the $500 billion stems from reduced outlays for Medicare hospitalization
expenses, the payroll taxes and those reductions would add about $358 billion to
Medicare trust fund balances.
(Lay aside, for the moment, any
suspicion that the trust funds are fictitious. On paper, at least, the program
would be strengthened. We have previously examined whether this apparent
double-counting makes sense.)
@TM,
When the ACA was 'sold' to the American people, This Administration said it would cost less than a trillion dollars over the next ten years. Since then, the cost projections have almost tripled to nearly 3 trillion dollars over the next ten years. The CBO has a history of underestimating the cost of new Government Entitlements. They projected Medicare would cost 3 billion dollars when enacted in 1965 and would cost 12 billion dollars in 1990, 25 years later. That cost was over 90 billion dollars 25 years later. Only off by a factor of 7+.
The ACA will bankrupt the nation and VP candidate Ryan will articulate that to the American people much better than I can.
Medicare is bankrupt today. It needs to be reformed. At least Republicans have a plan to save it. Under the Ryan Plan, Medicare is not going to change for anyone 55 or under, but after that we need to change it or it won't be around for future generations. Either reform it now, or loose it entirely. Those are really the only two choices we have.
As someone well under 55, I say reform it now.
Right like how the GOP made emergency reforms to welfare that basically cut the poor that were unable to find work because of the Bush jobless recoveries for the entire 8 years he was in office. So another words the GOP welfare reform increased the numbers of the homeless.

In a report released Tuesday, the Congressional Budget Office revealed new estimates on the cost of President Obama's health care reform law.
The CBO, in an update to its budget outlook, now estimates that the overall coverage cost of Obama's Affordable Care Act will drop slightly, to $1.083 trillion over the next decade. Last year, the CBO estimated the price tag to be $1.131 trillion over the same period of time.
The new estimates also showed that the law will cover fewer people than originally projected. According to the latest report, the number of uninsured Americans will be reduced by 30 million by 2016-- 2 million fewer than last year's estimates
FOS much Drillbaby?
You Dumbasses get more laughable every day
Let's quit feeding the trolls.
India, the ignore button works great. It also makes the pages much shorter.
@John in Texas,
The reason the ACA cost has not been forthcoming to the American people is because the CBO was only able to score the first 6 years of the ACA, because most of it is not scheduled to go into effect for several years in the future. Make no qualms about it, this new entitlement will bankrupt this country. We can not afford a new entitlement. The ones we have are already are bankrupt. The ACA will surely throw our nation over the cliff, no doubt about it.
@larry74,
Go ahead and ignore the truth. This country is headed for financial collapse. If you think President Obama is going to keep that from happening, you are in denial. Obama's policies are just putting the pedal to the financial collapse metal.
LOL..BS Junior.
@John in Texas,
By your own admission your numbers are coming from,
"According to the latest report, the number of uninsured Americans will be reduced by 30 million by 2016-- 2 million fewer than last year's estimates."
That's four years from now, and that's what the CBO has scored. The CBO estimates are only for the first 6 years of the ACA. If the American public actually knew what this new entitlement was really going to cost they would have been outraged.
This new entitlement will surely bankrupt our Nation.
Junior, what is it about 'Over the next decade', that you don't understand? HCR actually does not kick in untill 2014, remember? LOL
@John in Texas,
I rest my case.
You have no case Junior.
No, Obamacare’s Cost Didn’t Just Double. Sigh.

Six Things to Know About Paul Ryan's Vision For America
The Steelworker's Wife—and What Might Have Been
A (Partial) Defense of a (Supposedly) Indefensible Ad
Sorting through the deceptive attacks on health care reform gets old, even for me. But on Wednesday the Republicans and their allies made a claim so obviously misleading that they, and the media outlets parroting them, must have known they spreading false information.
The basis for the claim is the Congressional Budget Office’s latest projections for the Affordable Care Act, which critics (and I!) like to call Obamacare. When Congress first passed the law, in the spring of 2010, CBO made official estimates of how much the law would cost, how many people would get insurance as a result, and so on. It updated that estimate one year later and has, now, updated it one more time.
The CBO distributed its report in the morning and, by 11 a.m., Republican offices on Capitol Hill were spitting out press releases about it. According to the Republicans, CBO had discovered that Obamacare was going to cost $1.76 trillion over the next ten years. “The CBO’s revised cost estimate indicates that this massive government intrusion into America’s health care system will be far more costly than was originally claimed,” Tom Price, chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, said. Within a few hours, both Fox News and the Washington Times were carrying online stories making the same claim. According to the Fox News account, CBO was “showing that the bill is substantially more expensive—twice as much as the original $900 billion price tag.”
If CBO had truly determined that health care reform’s cost will be twice the original estimates, it would be huge news. But CBO said nothing of the sort.
To figure out the cost of health care reform, CBO looks at each of the law’s component parts and, for accounting purposes, groups them into different categories. It calls one category “gross cost of coverage expansions”—that’s the amount of money the federal government will spend to help people get insurance, mostly by offering Medicaid to more people or giving people subsidies they can use to help offset the cost of private insurance. Last year, CBO estimated that the gross cost of coverage expansion from 2012 through 2021 would be $1.445 trillion. Now CBO thinks the gross cost will be $1.496 trillion. The number shifted, in part, because the CBO has changed its projections for economic growth. (MSNBC’s Tom Curry has a nice explanation of this.) But, in the context of such a large a budget projection, that’s barely any difference at all.
In the this latest estimate, CBO extends its projection out one more year, to capture the expenses from 2012 to 2022, in order to capture a full decade. In 2022, CBO says, the gross cost of coverage expansion will be $265 billion. Add that to the $1.496 and you get (with rounding) the $1.76 trillion—the one in the press releases and the Fox story.
But there is nothing new or surprising about this. It’s only slightly more money than the previous year’s outlays. The ten-year number seems to jump only because the time frame for the estimate has moved, dropping one year, 2011, and adding another, 2022. Obamacare has virtually no outlays in 2011, because the Medicaid expansion and subsidies don’t start up until 2014, which means the shifting time frame drops a year of no implementation and adds one of full implementation.
Still, doesn’t that just validate what the law’s critics have always said, that the administration was playing games to hide the program’s true impact on the deficit? Hardly. Remember, this is just the raw cost of expanding insurance coverage we’re talking about here—in other words, the money the federal government is sending out the door. The new law also calls for new revenue, in the form of taxes and penalties. It also reduces spending, mostly through Medicare, to help offset the cost of the coverage expansion. When the Affordable Care Act became law, CBO estimated that the net result of all these changes, taken together, would be to reduce the deficit. Now, with this revised estimate, CBO has decided the law will reduce the deficit by even more money.
Yes, you read that right: The real news of the CBO estimate is that, according to its models, health care reform is going to save even more taxpayer dollars than previously thought.
I want to be clear about something. The Affordable Care Act has flaws: Among other things, it reaches fewer people and provides less financial protection than I would prefer. The revised CBO report actually suggests this problem will get mildly worse, since it also expects slightly fewer people to end up with insurance. That’s one reason why the law will cost less; it’s helping fewer people. Another reason is that more employers pay penalties for not offering insurance and more people pay penalties pay penalties for not obtaining it. That’s obviously not great, either.
The report also had one finding that give us at least a little pause: CBO now projects the number of people with employer-sponsored insurance will drop by 4 million people, on net. It’s still a small effect, representing less than 2 percent of the total population with employer-sponsored coverage. That’s well within the margin of error of these models. It’s also difficult to tell why CBO thinks this will happen—whether it’s fewer employers offering insurance, fewer employees accepting coverage, or workers moving into firms that are less likely to provide benefits. Any of those would be consistent with lower economic growth, as CBO now expects. Still, the issue merits attention. (If I can get a more detailed explanation of why CBO thinks this will happen, I’ll update this item.)
But these aren’t the nuanced claims Republicans and their allies are making. Nor are their complaints consistent with this general point of view. On the contrary, if they had their way, health care reform would reach even fewer people and provide less protection.
Meanwhile, the bottom line about Obamacare really hasn’t changed. Notwithstanding these latest adjustments, CBO still thinks it will mean about 30 million additional people get insurance, that insurance will become more secure for those who have it, that the law will more than pay for itself in the first ten years, and that, over the long run, the law will reduce the deficit.
But why admit those things when you can dissemble about them and when outlets like Fox and the Washington Times will let you get away with it?
oh come on now folks, you know these trolls have nothing better to do than to throw out garbage and then call them "facts". also, i only see them trying to push buttons, so maybe if we ignore them and put our heads together we can get them them banned. i for one am tired of their crap.
i also, have found that if you ask them a simple question they either won't or can't answer any. talk about stammering and stumbling as cl likes to imply of our president.
so let's band together and ignore them and see about getting a ban in place.
Drill. We don't ignore the truth. We ignore the radical right wing liars such as yourself. You've posted a lot of BS without one source to back up a damn word you righties are spewing. You use NO common sense. You give nothing to the discussion. You don't want a discussion, just spread lies, disrupt and try, without any luck, to put down anything anybody says, even with multiple links to back it up. You and your right wing buddies have not spoken ONE word of truth.
@John in Texas,
The ACA was passed with a cost to the American people of being less than 1 trillion dollars. Now you are posting articles with CBO estimates of over 1.4 trillion dollars. Where is the 900 billion dollar price tag that the American people were promised for the first ten years?
The $900 billion price tag doesn't exist. The American people were lied to. The ACA was budgeted for only the first 6 years of enactment. If the American people knew the real cost of the ACA, they would be outraged. The actual cost for the first 10 years of enactment is closer to $2.7 trillion .
The ACA will bankrupt this Nation. That is if the entitlements we already have don't do it first.
@larry74,
C'mon. I posted every single Senator when you said that Obama didn't have a Supermajority in the Senate for his first two years. How can you say I don't back up what I post? That's hurtful.
Drillbaby, what is a blue dog Dem? I know you are very limited as to your knowledge of how the real world politics works in Washington, but try and keep up here, ok?
Canadian weirdo Fraud, maybe if you kept your head out of your ass longer than a minute you might see all the proven facts that have been presented to all you moron teabaggers. By the way, how the hell do you breath when it's stuck in there 24/7?
Obamacare hasn't even been fully implemented yet, and our argument is if it's cost has doubled or only risen by some significant amount that is less than double?
Such a draconian plan. Ryan defends his anti-abortion, anti-birth control stance on his strict Catholicism. Well, the bishops have said that his plan is morally bankrupt yet that doesn't seem to bother him. He should get on the bus with the nuns!! He's a hypocrite.
Babs~ The nuns wouldn't want him. Once he starts yammering about what he's going to do to "fix" this nation, they would kick him off at the first stop! LOL
BABS, I'm a Catholic, and any Catholic whose heroine is a Russian atheist, and who is obsessed with her can no longer call themselves a Catholic without LYING. The only person Ryan worships is named Ayn Rand. That's not who we Catholics worship, not by a long shot.
Our Bishops have already deemed his plan to be immoral!
Canadian Liberty: I think you are lying pussy who needs to be kicked in the groin with a pair of steel toed boots. Why don't you shut up and get off of this blog? Go spread your right winged B.S. talking points and filth over at Fox News blog. First off all, most women in America want birth control and family planning covered by insurance companies. Nearly 100% of women in America will use birth control or family planning at sometime in their lives. Religion has nothing to do with birth control use amongst women period. The real world is always more complicated than the world of right winged zealots who have zero empathy towards their fellow citizens.
The second point is that we need universal single payer health care in the United States immediately. This includes universal coverage for family planning programs, birth control, and abortion services for women whenever they needs these types of services. These are medical issues to be decided by trained medical professionals not by right winged morons like you. All of the advanced Western European countries have universal single payer health care that pay for family planning programs, birth control, and abortion services. Countries that have universal health care and family planning services have lower numbers of abortions than in the United States.
I lived in the United Kingdom for three years. The British system is vastly superior to the American system of health care. Family care providers and well baby programs in the United Kingdom are the most cost effective and efficient in the world. The British system is also many times more cost effective than the American health care system. Most of the British people I made friends with loved the National Health Service and in many ways they have a right to be compared to what we have here in America. Our American, for profit medical system is grossly inferior because our costs are out of control. Why should corporations make profits on sick humans?
Human beings deserve universal health care and all of us have to pay taxes to keep it going. General Motors pays $1500 more to produce the same model car in the U.S. than it does in Canada. Canada has a form of Medicare for all run through the provincial government system and backed up financially from Ottawa. Canadian medicine works in providing universal health care for all people. Canadians are actually better educated and have more income than most Americans. We have been slipping badly under Republicans policies. We must elect Democrats so we can start catching up with Canada and the rest of the 30 industrialized countries we are falling behind. Remember, America ranks about 37th in health care rankings with 50 million uninsured and 45,000 uninsured dying annually from treatable conditions. No other country would tolerate this number of dying and uninsured.
Rex you know this person without a dobit does not live in Canada if so prove it
and then you can get Mitt Romney to prove Harry Reid is lying I suspect we shall proof on neither account
funny for a guy who idolizes ayn rand to be anti-abortion
Rex, #5.5 Excellent post, as usual. Just excellent. Some of my friends were here from England, and she got pregnant. Guess what she and her husband did before that baby was born! Right, got on a plane home to Devon!
Devon is actually very different from London. It even has palm trees!
Human beings in the richest country in the world certainly deserve what the UK and Canada have, at LEAST! The right wing does not even want us to have what little Obama was able to provide. He had to fight tooth and nail to get any Republicans on board for that!
My husband has a pair of steel toed boots, size 12. We could hit that poser for a Canadian with those! He's an American troll who is full of hate because he knows his weak candidate just blew the election with Mr. Bankrupt the USA Ryan!
My passport is up to date, but I won't need it. Obama will win now for certain.
Speaking of flip/flop.....here is Ryan making a case Ayn Rand, then a case against Ayn RAnd......which one do you believe?????
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmW19uoyuO8
then?

If you're really tired of listening to C L, see my above post. It is very easy to get rid of him, just hit "ignore this author" in the menu on his posts. I do not believe he should be called an author because I have not read an original word on his posts, they all come from faux news, but the manager of this site uses the term author, so we will have to conisider him one, in spite of knowing better.
As apposed to your wife/sister wearing the pants in your family, correct?
Here's what you get in the Canada health care system... Someone I worked with that lives in Canada has a daughter. She went to the hospital because she was having a gall bladder attack. The hospital told her to go home because they didn't have any beds and couldn't treat her. If you have ever had your gall bladder go south, you know that this is an extremely painful condition. Well, the next day the daughter called her mom at work crying because the pain was so extreme. She immediately took her to the hospital and again was told they couldn't help her. It took the Mom screaming at the top of her lungs that they weren't leaving until they found her a bed and began treatment. They finally relented and treated her. Oh - and the daughter was 26 years old.
Is this really what you want?
Do you not get that people come from all over the world (including Canada) for treatment because we have the best medical treatment in the world?
I don't care if we rank dead last in number of uninsured, there's nobody in America that doesn't get health CARE when needed - that's the law
BS. I know ppl from Canada who said the longest they had to wait for teatment was waiting 30 min to see the doctor the first time they went. Best care in the world? Why are we ranked 37th?
I thought young tea partiers loved Germany and Israel....they and every other western nation have healthcare far, far socialist than our own and are not having the same diseases and ailments we have here
how is that?
Everyone may get emergency care, emergency care is not healthcare insurance. The problem is since walking into an emergency room costs you 300$ just to walk in, not to get any treatment but literally to walk in the door. If you think that the average person does not care and will never check you're wrong. If you think that the cost does not pressure people to not go to hospitals unitl it starts to be trully debilitating conditions and often at that point the ailment has caused unnecessary damage that if nipped in the bud early could be near harmless.
A man recently committed suicide after he was diagnosed with cancer. He shot himself because he apparently did not want to spend his family's entire nest egg and threaten their dreams of financial security
And you're a nutcase teabagger posing as a 'Canadian'. Damn you ppl are strange.
Canadian Liberty, #5.12 Yes, I wear pants: tight Gloria Vanderbilt jeans and my husband likes me in them. I also wear the panties. He likes them too, on ME! He wears steel toed boots. Sorry, poser, wrong again! LOL
But that's not new, is it.
CL, You are lying and you know it. The Canadians have an excellent health care system and they love it. I have friends in Canada and I do KNOW better and I have traveled! I have yet to hear a Canadian complain about their system!
You are about as Canadian as Mitt Romney. I doubt you even have a passport.
Rex- are you mad at CL or at Obama for the pos health care he passed? Your diatribe is against Obamacare. The other libs jumping on your bandwagon also must be with you and me- against this idiotic health care plan. But- do you folks think or just write? I'm sure you didn't mean to curse Obamacare, just had a sense of reality.
Don't include me in your blanket statements about things I didn't say
#5.22 Good, throw up some more. Get rid of some more of that hate you have for women. Don't like women, do you. Especially strong, smart women. Too bad. You miss a lot that way.
Fire away, your time is short on this blog. Until then, you're on ignore. You'll have to take your venom to the flat-Earth crowd; the Glen Beck believers. In other words, where you belong. So be a good boy now and run along and listen to Rush for a while. Get that hate fueled up real good. You seem to like that. I'm putting a picture of the next president on my avatar just for you. Isn't he a handsome fellow. Bet you wish you looked that good!
India I believe we must welcome the hatred of the Beckist crowd and wear it proudly.
CC, #5.26 OK, We could do that!
Well Said!!! Go Obama/Biden
I can't wait for the debates! This should be a rout! Anyone with a brain in their head knows these two are the "tools" of the Koch Bros. and their ilk.
Biden will just like more of an idiot next to the Ryan - I can't wait either
The debate will be where Obama bare open the Ryan budget and exposes the republican scheme to dismantle Medicare and turn it into a voucher program.
Republicans have been agianst Social Security from the very beginning, trying to privatize it. They are determined to destroy the Medicare Program, two of the most successful programs the government has.
Their agends is turn this country into a nation of slave workers, peons, with no collective bargaining rights. and working for slave wages.
The out sourcing pioneer will destroy the middle class standard of living in this country.
Care to tell me the downside of a voucher program? It worked fantastically for the schools in DC until Obama nixed it.
What's the downside of privatizing Social Security? Chile did it and their citizens enjoy better retirement then ever.
What's the downside of public worker unions? They campaign/support (essentially hire) the people they work for - putting them in a position to leverage that support (or lack of same) for the next election
Romney is not an outsourcing pioneer. But Bain did buy a company that was. And Obama has perfected it - note buying his campaign buses from Canada and sending $$$ to Brazil to help them drill for oil.
Seriously - don't you have anything better than that?
tadpole, if youre going to use the economies in other states as an example of why ryans budget will work, then you must give me a reason why the affordable care act wont work nationally, since romneys care plan worked so well in massachusetts.
DC school voucher are not are some of the most pathetic in country which is saying a lot since we as a nation are complete idiots on math and science. Not even in the top ten for either subject. Anyone who thinks vouchers will make the imprvements that we needs should look at places like Finland who are beating us bad and look how mmuch privatizaiton they have. Go look at the countryies that are beating us and see how voucher systems you see there. The idea that we will be able to change our public system to a super private one is laughable. Fools love to argue now that the education system is all about the teacher's unions so we should make it for profit. Well guess what limbaugh lovers business is about money not making good or happiness so unless you view children as currency a for profit system will not be about the kids.
Then you've got the other parts of the voucher system like in Louisiana where not only did right wing extremists intimate a muslim religionus school to force them out of the same programs for the christian academies in the state biut you've also got Accelerated Christian Education. ACE teaches that the lochness monster is real and thus disproves evolution. Now that sads crazy but I assure you it is not a joke. Again this is not a joke, I wish it was but it's totally true you have xtian schools in America teaching the lochness monster is alive and kicking. Anyone wish to sing the praises of vouchers now.....
Privatize social security will solve nothing. Senoirs will lose the money they have earned after decades of work and will have higher living costs SS has been around for decades it was not the problem then it isn't the problem now. Now if you're a Rand worshipper like Paul Ryan you've thoroughly soaked up the teaching of your atheist prophetess you probably think it's acceptable to take away care from seniors so that corporations and oil companies can kep their welfare. Well the nuns are right it's just wrong. If your a Rand devotee of social darwinism you'll never get it. So have fun campaigning in FL telling all those people they're lazy leeches for collecting what they've earned. FYI Obama wins Florida the election is over. While I'm at it has the Romnney campaign actually come up with a delegate map that actually adds up to how many they'll need yet?
But then again we are talking about the man with no plan for the economy. Don't click for a larger version it's the same thing just with a larger font......and Ryan whose immoral budget doesn't even have the specifics to do what he claims it will do.
Listen fool tea partiers trickle down economics does not work, it has not worked and it will never work.
S. S. is/was a good idea, they just forgot to tell congress to keep their sticky fingers out of it.
Tadpole: A young toad or frog in it's larval stage of development that lives in the water, has no tail and no legs, and, like a fish, breathes through the gills.
I might add that tadpoles have very little knowledge of anything outside of their very limited world.
@Ex-D - Really? The classic personal attack? This shows me you are unserious.
@Cynical - You are very creative (and your grammar is a little rough)
- The voucher system gave parents more freedom to enroll their children in better schools. The fact that DC schools are just about the worst in the country is why the vouchers were so desperately needed and so well received by parents.
- Vouchers does not mean 'super private' schools or necessarily 'for profit'. It means that schools will have to do more than exist to attract students
- Vouchers and teachers unions
- "Seniors will lose their money" - why would they do that? Are they unable to manage their own money? Only government can/should do that?
- "Atheist Prophetess" - nice word play to get the evangelicals skeptical... and she's not mine
- I think it makes sense to make adjustments to Social Security and Medicare that include reduced benefits for those 50 and younger (which I am) without impacting benefits for those older than 50 so that these programs don't go away for everyone
- BTW - They Ryan Plan;
*converts Medicare to a voucher program in 2022
*increases the eligibility age by 2 months each year starting in 2022 up to age 67 in 2033
*those enrolled in the current Medicare prior to 2022 would continue to receive the program
*the wealthiest 2% would receive 30% of premium support while 92% would receive the full premium support
*Eligibility for the traditional Medicare program would not change for those 55 and older by the end of 2011
Have you guys even done any research? Or are you just taking what Ed, Rachel, Lawrence, and Chris tell you?
C'mon... you're better than that
And that Ryan 'voucher' will cost senior citizens an average of 6,000 a year to finish paying for their health insurance seeing how that voucher is just a wall mart discount card for insurance , correct? I'm not sure but I think the senior citizens told Ryan to go to hell on that one.
John in Texas, $6500.00 more a year is what I believe they'll pay and most can't afford that. A serious illness would break them with this voucher.
I am certain the AARP will tell them where to go in a hurry. Seniors vote, and those who won't be affected often have older children who will be hurt by this new "plan" of Ryans. Many have children around 50 yrs. old or even 55. That group will be devastated. They won't have enough time to save for their retirement. Not with this stagnant economy, thanks to congress's inaction.
DC schools suck. The best schools in America SUCK. Our education system is pathetic voucher programs don't actually change that because they're only going to better schools in comparisson to schools which are already behind. So they can go to a really crummy school or a slghtly less really crummy school. Look how many countries kicking our ass in math and science have voucher and or for profits system.
Finland, Finland they're number one privatization 'aint how they get it done
It isn't the least bit an actual solution to the nation's public school systems. Paying for them to go to schools which may be slightly better than totally pathetic is not really doing much to help the students. More importantly these schools aren't even necessarily better than other public schools in Louisiana some of these "christian" schools teach that the lochness monster is real. No joke.
The Ryan plan makes the middle class pay more so corporations can keep their welfare and we the people can have less things that help us when we are between jobs, buy a home, send our kids to college and good schools. The Ryan plan is the Republican agenda. Make anyone else but the people who donate to the politicians campaigns pay more.
Rand may not be your idol but she is Ryan's and his budget plan reflects that.
This comes down to the fact that the right while willing to discuss the ends to programs and things to benefit the middle and lower classes while having the idea of raising taxes on the wealthy and getting subsidies out of government for profitable corporations non-starters.
I thought the ad was effective. The Obama campaign needs to keep hammering the extremism in the Ryan budget. Also Ryan sponsored the "Fetal Personhood Bill" and opposes Family Planning Funds
I guess if you get people to forget that more Democrats voted for Ryan's budget than any of Obama's budgets (Dem votes = 0).

And yes I have blocked C L's rantings, but I still have to see notification of them. C L is just another teabagging idiot hired to post his rants on this blog in order to hopefully confuse some of the uninformed who might be looking for facts they might be unaware of. He pretends to be Canadian in order to try and infer that President Obama is not popular with our great neighbor to the north and to try and convince us that he is just another teabagger idiot that has had to change his name because he has been blocked so many times under his original name. President Obama is more well thought of in Canada than any repukeocon will ever be.
I was as successful in following your broken links as Obama was in getting any votes for any of his budgets... O fer
Just like the teabagger job creation in the House....'O' fer
The president can't write the budget they can only maake a proposal which is far from a whole budget plan more importantly since two houses are needed to pass something of that nature it would be a waste to bring one to the floor if one is certain the otherside refuses to even consider it. The senate republicans have not allowed votes to happen on a variety things from infrastructure security, equal pay, fighting outsourcing.......all of course while bringing no proposals of their own to the floor.
VERY FACTUAL AD!KEEP IT UP.
Didn’t take long for the Democrates to dig up some more lies.
Says the guy who backs someone that lies so much he can't remember what he was for before he was against it.
Sorry but again projecting robmehoods flip flopping on every issue. Why robmehood flip flops so much he is for everything he is against.
So says the teabagger posing as a canadian..Voting for robme just shows how credible you, and your posts are. But you are good for a laugh!
WOW, Seniors, you have to make sure your voices are heard. President Obama has always had your back. Mitt Romney just threw you way under the bus. We all have to get out there and vote for President Obama. If anyone that has parents reaching that age that will need medicare and social security then you must vote for President Obama.
Joyce........... Seniors are smarter than you think. Obama has thier back alright.....up against a wall. Remember. Obama is gutting Medicare to the tune of 500 bllion.
#13.2
OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!
That's a bunch of BS.
Everyone is experiencing record unemployment!
The African Americans have historically had higher unemployment that whites.
A larger percentage of African Americans have jobs in the public sector (government). Keep in mind that historically, the bi-partisan response to a recession was to support and slightly increase the number of government jobs.
The GOP forced spending cuts that specifically reduced number of government jobs.
tea bagged republicans are so confused that they believe a lie said 3 times or more magically makes the lie a fact.
Yeah and one of them claims to be canadian.
post something to address and prove any of that as unture.
Minorities will support the left until the right ends its condescending race bating ways. A white nationist spoke at CPAC for goodness sake. Your party will lose minorities and they know that this is why they need to keep as many of them from voting as possible.
highest unemployment in 27 years who was president all those years ago.....who was tat....hmmm
CL, 28 posts! Boy, what a whiner for attention! So FAR 28 posts!
That's a record!
If a larger percentage of African Americans have jobs in the public sector (government) good for them! But don't forget that repukeocon ryan wants to cut those jobs by 10% over the next three years. You right=wingnuts just keep can't keep your foot out of mouths.
C l is just another teabagger that has been ignored so many times under his real name that he has come up with another name in order publicize his rants. He pretends to be Canadian to try and infer that President Obama is not popular in our great neighbor to the north and to try to fool us that he is not just a teabagging idiot hired to create doubts with the uninformed who might be reading this in order to find out the truth.
Hey wingnuts!!! Pay good attention so when you get through you can inform your fellow Fox-educated wingnut ignoramuses:

As for the stagnant economy, that's owned by Boehner/McConnell's and GOPee obstruction. Pay attention:
Boehner's GOTea obstruction => Boehner's GOTea economy and unemployment of 2012.
WHAT HAPPENED:
The economy was on the upswing after the first two years of the Obama Presidency with the rescue of the auto industry, the stimulus package, etc. Then hate, Boehner, and the GOTea happened and there was to be no more consideration of ideas to solve problems because that was considered by the GOTea handing political victories of a political opponent.
GOTea OBSTRUCTION:
What we have is the Boehner/GOTea economy of 2012 which is a scandal and is what the country gets with a GOTea House obstructing every attempt to solve the problems 30+ years of failed conservative ideas and policies have caused. Just like Boehner and McConnell wanted it.
GOTea PUBLIC SECTOR OBSTRUCTION:
Republican obstruction at funding the public sector is costing 0.9 to 1.3 percentage points in employment. This is the opposite of what happened in other recessions in 1981, 1990, and 2000 when the federal government helped local and state government but Republicans in the House obstruct against.
GOTea JOB OBSTRUCTION:
Republican obstruction on President Obama's American Jobs Act (AJA) is a scandal that costs another 1 to 1.3 percentage points.
This whole Republican scandal is too huge to fathom in terms of human misery, but Republicans believe it can fool an irresponsibly inattentive and ignorant public.
YOU WANT MORE LINKS? I GOT YOUR EXTRA LINKS?

Now off you go, wingnuts. You got work to do.
So apparently links can't be posted right now. Great.
Wow, Disgusted, you're really clueless.
The economy was on the upswing after the first two years of Obama? Well, these things were on the upswing;
1. Annual Budget Deficit, from $619MM for Bush's last 2 yrs vs. $2.7Trillion for Obama's first 2 years
2. National Debt, from $10T to $13.5T
3. GDP from $14.4T to $14.6T (a 1.3% increase over 2 years - not great)
4. Unemployment from 5.8% to 9.6%
5. Misery Index from 7.49 to 10.94
6. Americans in Poverty from 3.4 Million (Bush) to 6.4 Million (Obama)
7. Additional Black Families living in poverty from 267 thousand (Bush) vs. 801 thousand (Obama)
8. Additional Female led households living in poverty - 613,000 (Bush) vs 2.1 Millon (Obama)
9. Additional Hispanic Families living in poverty - 1.7 million (Bush) vs 2.3 million (Obama)
10. Additional Children living in poverty - 1.2 million (Bush) vs 2.3 million (Obama)
So... how's the kool-aid?
Tabpol, all due to bush's policies, get it? of course you don't. Question, how many consecutive months of job growth have we had after losing 700,000 jobs A MONTH under GW Bush in 2007?
John it's a distraction to blame anyone but Obama for things that they actually caused
We aren't to talk about what got us here......so we can naturally learn from our past mistakes by ignoring them.......
0 repbulican job initiatives
0 help for the past two years under the gop
dozens of tea party congressman stalling the debt ceiling vote resulting in one fat reduction of our credit
1 wacko vote by the gop to keep unnecessary oil subsidies
The public knows the GOP's new ideology is wrong for America. They know Romney has no plan that's why he isn't winning. If they hate the economy so much WHY IS ROMNEY NOT WINNING
Why are black americans still supporting Obama? Why is he leading with women and latinos? Because they know Romney has nothing to help them. They know the GOP could careless about them and only ever brings up their issues to attempt to score some half hearted political point but right after the election their interests will go right down to the bottom of the pile.
Black americans aren't as against gay marriage as much as you've been lead to believe. The same can be said for the rest of america as well. People know that voting for Romney isn't looking like a vote for their own interests because Wimpy Willard has yet to show a real plan.
33 useless attempts to repeal obamacare with more to follow
john in texas your math not mine
bush pres 8 years x 12 months = 96 months times 700,000 per month jobs lost by Bush 67 million . Yeah right just keep lying.
You're right John's math would be flawed if he was saying the words you put in his mouth FACT is at the end of Bush Cheney the economy was in shambles and we were losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a month. There was no job growth to be found.
Your mind is slipping if you think
Means 96 months
You George Bush was president from 2000-2008. 2007 is 1 year before 2008, the end of his term. 1 year=12 months
CC my point exactly when the 96 months are added that will give a good picture of what occurred during his Presidency not a 1 month snapshot. Did you ever have a bad year?? 1 out of 8 is pretty good .
again truth will set you free. Please note the net 2007 figure.
How Many Jobs Were Created or Lost in 2005?
How Many Jobs Were Created or Lost in 2006?
How Many Jobs Were Created or Lost in 2007?
How Many Jobs Were Created or Lost in 2008?
So if I take an 8 hour plane flight and in the last hour the plane crashed I was on a good flight??? No the crash part is pretty damn important. The end of Bush Cheney was disaster for the economy period. You can't argue otherwise and you know it. If that end hadn't been so damn bad maybe your arguement would have some weight.........
My argument has weight in any world where up is up and down is down but in the liberal spin zone direction is whatever point of truth you are running away from. I guess the 8 million jobs created over three years is trumped by the 3 million that were lost. Is that a net of 5 million?????? or of course in Bizzaro democrat land it is something else again. I can't wait for the debates particularly Ryan against Joe "foot in mouth" Biden. Spin won't work when someone actually know the truth. This is going to be a campaign unlike all others it will have actual verifiable facts. Here is one that will be hard to refute. The 2013 budget. When all entitlements for 2013 are deducted from Revenue there is not a dime for any discretionary spending. We are $1.6 Trillion short.
http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/EW5IdwltaAc?rel=0">http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/EW5IdwltaAc?rel=0
Progressive Catholics, please step up early and often to confront Ryan regarding his support for policies destructive to families and middle and working class Americans. President Kennedy demonstrated long ago that fear of a Catholic president being a servant of Rome was unfounded. But that danger is quite real if the Catholic candidate in question does not respect the separation of church and state. I see no evidence that Ryan respects that bright line.
And where is the evidence he doesnt? Lets be fair.
Fair to a tea bagged republican is listen to me I know whats best because I touched robmehoods magic underpants.
Ryan is no theocrat like Palin and Bachmann he's a social darwinist who worships Ayn Rand, his favorite author
It didnt take long for ol' Eddy to throw out some red meat to his zombies. Watch them rip and tear at it.
Where's the Romney economic plan
any jobs bills...remember fool tea partiers deregulation has not created one single job
Black unemployment could be at 72%!! we don't want want Rombey and Racist Ryan are selling!! And you can beat too! You must think we're all a bunch of effin idiots. We not buying troll... beat it!
CL Re: #15.4
In #15.3 the statement was "Black unemployment could be at 72%".
Could be does not equal IS!!
Perhaps you are the illiterate one!!
Thank you Maphi! What a Canandian donkey! Has the audacity to mutter the word illiterate! LoL!
What type of education do they have in Canada. Idiot can't see that I purposely turned the number around to say we don't give a hell if it goes to 72%. We don't want it! What part is too hard for you to comprehend?
The only thing you need in order to figure it out is... a brain!
Feeling like all is lost for you and the teabaggers weirdo?....You should.
John the right is so terrified of the minority vote since they finally have realized the insensitive and condescending race baiting attitudes do not rub colored folks the right way. That's why they want folks to have to show ID they have never before in US history had to show while at the same time desposing of the use of forms of ID you have always been able to show
You know you'd think that they'd make in roads and reachouts to the minority communities but these are the people who think the nation's credit was downgraded because we raised the debt ceiling so.....
CC, the teabaggers let their racism get the best of them once again, they can't help themselves. And you are correct, they are terrified of minorities, especially after they have shown their 'true colors' these past three and a half years, so the only way to stop minorities is to enact voter suppression laws which tagets them. I hope all the teabaggers have done is awaken a sleeping giant....
LOL..You just described the Teabaggers to a 'T'...no pun intended. Good job!
It's very interesting how you teabaggers project your own faults and abnormalities towards the Dems. You ppl are in serious need of psychological help, all of you. That, or you're just full of sh**.

Gaffney's work was recently a huge part of Michelle Bachmann's laughable allegations of "deep penetration" of the US government by the Muslim Brotherhood. No surprise the muslim witch hunting congress women is think so much about penetration since we all know her husband isn't giving her any.......
Fake history teacher David Barton who you people love so much
More muslim targetted hate meet our next radical Pamela Geller
Next the right wing CCC or Council of Conservative Citizens of course not to be confused with CC(me), the author of this post who hates their racist guts;)
Their connections to the GOP are direct
Funny how the similarities between the various radical right wing ideologies always revolve are hate for immigrants, condescneding attitudes to minorities and gays......sound familiar?
There is tons more. All these quotes are easily accessable from the Southern Poverty Law Center website who have documented and brilliantly catalogued all of this work. Now of course we know the tea party neo-cons will attempt to label the SPLC as "liberal" when presented with these facts so really this is for those who actually care to have a real intelligent unveiling of the radicals on the right. The trolls will read 0 of this. Now finally to diffuse any laughable smeering of the SPLC as liberal just know you attack a group with a long history of fighting bigotry. You attack one of the only groups with the courage to fight the Klan in the courtroom during the days of Jim Crow. Attacking them to dismiss their factual research does nothing more than expose the extremist ideology of those who wish to do so to disprove their own radical support.
Romney takes over as Bush, the puppet and Ryan takes over as Cheney, the Devil and the mastermind that puts all people, students, middle class, seniors, disabled, LAST and LEAST~
The Ryan pick for VP was done by Mitt Romney to shore up his conservative base. The GOP is really going to take a drubbing in November. The two groups that will determine the fate of the Romney/Ryan ticket are independent women and Hispanics in swing states. President Obama needs to focus a little bit less on his own campaign and focus on taking back the House and keeping control of the Senate. The GOP has decided that shoring up its conservative base is more important than trying to broaden the base of their party. I do not worry too much about polls unless they show strong trends of a period of time. President Obama leads strongly amongst independent women and Hispanics in the polls. President Obama has led by at least 10 point amongst independent women and by nearly 40 point amongst Hispanics.
Mitt Romney has written off independent women and Hispanics as potential voters like a deduction on his income taxes. Romney knows that he can not win these groups over so he has opted for shoring up the conservative race. This race is not over with yet but President Obama needs to work on his "get out the vote" ground game in Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, and other swing states like Virginia and Colorado. President Obama should concentrate on helping Democrats in tight races around the country as his schedule will allow. We need to hold the Senate and take back the House. I am worried about groups like Rove's Crossroads and other Super-PAC's with corporate donors.
Most independent women are horrified and alarmed at the GOP's consistent attacks on women's reproductive health. The GOP's war on women continues unashamedly on. The GOP wants to push "personhood" bills for a fetus while cutting back on funds for family planning and birth control and the attacks on Planned Parenthood. Some GOP hardliners are even against abortions for incest and rape victims. Show me an independent college educated woman who is in favor of these hardline and anti-woman family planning and birth control restrictions? You won't find very many educated women who will support this reactionary and vile GOP social policy that seeks to bring America back into the 1930's or earlier.
The other important group are Hispanics. The GOP filibustered the Dream Act in December, 2010 despite it passing in the House and having a majority of votes in the Senate. While unemployment amongst Hispanics is a problem, immigration policy is always a major concern. President Obama has handled himself well on this issue by his support of the Dream kids. Hispanics will rally behind the President on election day rewarding him with a second term. We need to pass comprehensive immigration reform otherwise America will just be kicking the proverbial can down the road. We have 11 million undocumented Hispanics who have lived in America for years. These hard working families deserve to be treated like human beings and have a safe path towards earning their citizenship. We do not live in a police state where 11 million people can be rounded up and sent home simply because America is home for these 11 million people. If these people are good enough to pick our vegetables, work in our service industry, serve in the military, and pay taxes into the system they are good enough to become citizens.
Democrats have to keep working by contributing, getting involved in a campaign, blogging, writing letters, talking to friends and neighbors, and supporting President Obama. Mitt Romney today just showed how desperate he is in this campaign. The Ryan pick today is a desperate move to united a fractured GOP party. Democrats need to step into that fracture and deliver the coup de grace to the Tea Party this November. Go on offense and stay on offense because we the people are more important than more tax cuts for the top one percent. Democrats have an opportunity to seize the House and hold onto the Senate. Let's get it done. Vote Obama/Biden and Democrat in 2012.
Just like your failed attempts at being a canadian.
Actually the right winged trolls on this blog fail to provide sources or new ideas about how to move the country forward. The GOP is in tough shape because the obstructionist GOP Senate and the do nothing GOP House has really hurt the jobs picture in America. The numbers of filibusters are over one hundred just for this session of Congress. The American Jobs Act was not even taken up by the GOP House when President Obama asked for it last August. The American Jobs Act would have created or saved two million jobs. In July, 2012, the GOP Senate filibustered a small business tax credit bill that would have created about one million new jobs according to economists.
Three million jobs are a helluva a lot of jobs. We would be at 6% unemployment right now if it were not for GOP obstructionism in both chambers of Congress. Why didn't the GOP pass these bills when President Obama asked for them? The country is supposed to be more important than who wins.
So the GOP has placed right winged ideology of the top one percent over what is best for the people who need jobs in a place called America. Remember our Congress is supposed to serve the common good of the people who make up the public they serve, not corporate special interests. The GOP is simply pathetic bunch of losers. You will pay dearly come November for your obstructionism because more tax cuts for the top one percent are not more important than jobs for the American public.
Righty: Actually reading things would be of beneficial use to you before coming onto a public blog and making an idiot out of yourself reciting RNC talking points. Democrats controlled the House and had a 60 vote majority in the Senate for about seven months. Al Franken did not get sworn in until the recount in Minnesota ended in July, 2009. President Kennedy died in late 2010 with the election for his seat won by Senator Brown in early February, 2010. So where I come from this adds up to around seven months and some odd weeks.
During this time we had TARP, the stimulus bill, the health care bill, two failing wars, and an economy that had just lost 8 million jobs. Democrats packed as much in as possible but the GOP did nothing but obstruct everything. Mitch McConnell said that his mission was to make President Obama a one term president and lectured his caucus on denying everything President Obama asked for. There are records of his speeches so the failure of the country is a responsibility of the GOP "do nothing" obstructionist Congress.
GOP jobs plans from the house
Romney economic plan
remember deregulation has not created one single job
I don't think anything you said was funny enough to blow milk out of my nose. Matter of fact you are right on point which is why this nut from fairy Cananda land couldn't debunk one word of it.
Robmey is losing amongst women, blacks, latinos, college age students who else... dogs hate him... teachers hate him, vets hate him... who's left...
He has not been clear on any issue... he has moved from middle to far right back and forth... he's anti guns, he's pro choice... Wait no he is now anti choice.... pro guns... he wants to tout his "socialist" Romneycare but the Nutjobs wont let him. He can't talk about Massachusetts for fear of the "outsourcing" topic. 47th in job creation? WTH!!! No we are not buying what your selling!!
Newt says he's a liar.
Santorum says he's the worst RWN to go up against PO.
I believe R. Perry used the term "vulture capitalist" to describe Romney and finally... Obama is whipping this liar even in Fox News poll.
President Obama is well ahead in the polls and gaining ground, that is why the republicons are trying to suppress the vote to the 99%'s. It is important that we do not let these pirates steal America. Tell your representatives to stop this sup-pression of voters. And let the Justice Department know it is time they stood up and enforced the laws of this nation. It is time they quit playing politics with our future.
I meant to say Senator Edward Kennedy died in August, 2009. The general meaning here is that Democrats had 7 months of a 60 vote filibuster proof Senate, not two years as right wingers love to claim. Senator Franken was sworn in during July, 2009. Senator Kennedy died in 2009 with an election held in February, 2010 for his seat. So the Democrats had little or no time for filibuster proof majorities in the Senate. The so called filibuster proof majority only lasted about seven months or less.
The GOP 30 years ago used to work to get things like the Farm bill, infrastructure, and jobs bills passed in Congress by compromising and negotiations with Democrats. 30 years ago or more the GOP was a mainstream political party, especially during the 1970's. The GOP today has chased out all of its moderates like Olympia Snowe, Richard Lugar, and many other moderate GOP Congressman. Moderate Republicans were more pragmatist than ideological. The Tea Party Romney/Ryan ticket will take no prisoners approach to governance. We can see the stalled and disastrous "do nothing" GOP Congress that can not even pass a Farm Bill for five years. What a disgrace for America. Until this right winged extremism is expunged from our political system we are not going to make any progress in America at all.
rex you can't argue with stupid here. these trolls can't face the truth nor the facts. they come with their own poll numbers which is far from right.
Now we need an ad reminding everyone how these two fools are trying to win by stopping Democrats from voting. Mind you the polls will be open longer in the Republican areas.
We are back to the ROSA PARKS days with these two driving the bus. Everyone in the back unless you make over 3 million a year~
Thats right play the race card. It always helps to win the card game.
I dont know of an instance where a Republican stopped anyone from voting, but I do know of an instance of the Black Panthers stopped people from voting and the Democratic Justice System let them go free. Now thats an outrage! Are you outraged yet?
Proven to be a lie made up by Fox news to create fake outrage for dumb people to spread. Poor guy still tries to lie.
I guess that video tape of the "New Black Panthers" standing in front of the voting station with a billy club was two "Fox News" actors in blackface.
You mean the one that shows a white woman standing behind the new black panthers yacking on a cell phone, yeah she sure looked scared. It was not a billy club it was a stick, billy clubs are not over 3 foot long. So you are lying and saw what Fox news told you to see. Funny how the only complaints came from the guy filming the new black panthers and no other complaints were filed. Nor did one person outside of the guy filming ever step forward. So all you have is a bull@!$%# non story made up in your racist mind.
If that woman, not black most likely white to me in the 30 second video behind them wasn't scred why was the one person who recorded this cell phone video? She wasn't scared?
Fact is voter intimidation cases are difficult to win and the state has lost them numerous time to KKK members so that should give you an image as to how hard they can be to win. The bush administration although of course not not directly involved but the justice department at the time made the correct choice because they would have lost. If I'm the defense I point to woman on the cell phone, game over for the state.
Lets forget the fact that ZERO witnesses were willing to testify now on youtube and fox news you wouldn't know that. You might also know they in fact were charged they did not get away scott free they have been banned form all polling places for the next several years so if they try this again they will be instantly be arrested. Did FOX let you know that.
So the BUSH administration made the appropriate action. It was the REPUBLICAN justice sustem that did all they could under the law.
Not on single effort by repbulcians to stop people from voting well just wait to novemeber when people who are elligible citizens will be turned away because they do not have the id you have never before in the history of the US ever had to show while not allowing you to use forms of identification you have always had to have in some form and have always un history been able to use.
Really a black guy holding a door open for a women is now voter intimidation, really the KKK did much worse. And no they are not Black Panthers they are the New Black Panthers with 4 members. Rather amusing that they are at a black poll in a black district oh and btw they didn't like Obama either.
Thereugoagain. This happened where and when? I don't watch faux news(?) so I haven't seen this video. Tell me where I might see this video, besides faux news. Why haven't any of the people come forward and filed charges over violation of their civil rights? Bet there will be charges after the November election. There are already lawsuit's concerning voter suppression. Really can you not win any other way?
Well, you certainly can't say that Romney doesn't have balls. Going with Ryan was a gutsy decision, and suddenly changes the entire election dynamic to one of BOTH sides snarking at each other over stupid non-issues with stupid non-issue ads, and makes it about a very VERY clear direction.
I think both sides are very happy today - the republicans because they finally see a clear and bold (if risky) decision to build a platform on very specific and clearly articulated ideas and policies, and the democrats because they so strongly disagree with those very ideas and policies and see lots of fodder for hammering the Republican ticket.
As a fiscal conservative and someone deeply fearful for the future of our economy and government given the complete lack of fiscal responsibility both sides of the aisle and both branches (executive and legislative) have demonstrated for the last ~20 years, I'm ecstatic to see Romney pick someone that can lead with a very clear plan. Ryan is the epitome of a politician that doesn't speak in platitudes and generalities, doesn't avoid the very very VERY difficult decisions we face as a country or kick the can down the road. We have to take our medicine. It's bitter. Ryan is able to articulate the truth of that better than anyone on either side of the aisle.
I'm excited, more than I have been to date. With Ryan's vision driving the role of government and a path to fiscal solvency... I think America could have a bright future. I also know this place (MSNBC) are going to love having Ryan on the ticket, and it will make for some wickedly fun debates in the weeks and months to come.
A clear plan to increase the deficit to 30 trillion or more in the next 40 years.
Picking Ryan wasn't a "gutsy" decision - it was what the Koch Brothers and Grover Norquist told him to do. Romney couldn't make a decision to save his soul (if indeed he has one).
I agree Diane. The Koch brothers are the ones holding the purse and Romney is a puppet who will obey as told. All these people care about is their money and how much they can screw the public, all the while trying to make them believe they aren't. Reminds me of the Wizard behind the curtain. 'Do not pay attention to the man behind the screen." Listen to the Wizard!! Hypnotize the fools and they'll follow you off the cliff. Stupid sheeple.
You guys need to get a grip with your Koch brothers conspiracy. Take off your tinfoil hats. They're some very successful businessmen that spend their money based on their beliefs. Good for them. We need MORE PEOPLE like the Koch brothers, not fewer. Oh my - SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMEN... RUN AWAY!!!!
No shortage of "big money" on both sides on this campaign. I don't any more think that Romney is being steered by the Koch brothers than I think Obama is being steered by Sara Jessica Parker. Give me a break.
Right because a lying tea bagged republican who is spreading misinformation and Fox news fake outrage stories claims its true. Right.
Really because you supporters of successful business seem to sing a different toon when it's about George Soros or say hollywood celebrities.....
Now if you're foolish enough to believe people like Sors or the Koch lords, or Sheldon Adelson are giving millions of dollars with no expectations you're just that a total fool. You are a fool if you believe politicians are not bought and can not be swayed with money.
I support Soros and his right to spend his money as he see fits to further causes he believes in. I don't run around like some wissy baby whining about Super PACs and wealth people spending their money, whether it's Hollywood or the Koch brothers. You'll have to find another person to pin your labels on.
LOL..FOS much Randy? If the tables were turned you wimps would be singing the blues about how much money Obama had at his disposal..LOL
The funny part will be all those millions, and maybe even as much as a billion dollars will be spent on Robme/Ryanomics campaign, yet you'll still lose. Thanks for the extra stimulus guys!
John, Message on your profile page.
Ask Paul Ryan why the hold up? Why he voted NO on all or most occasions except recently which the House had to make changes to define rape and other ridiculous reasons to hold back progress to protect women and children?
"...House votes on reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act. This reauthorization has already passed the Senate with 68 votes, but the House version cancelled several protections Senate Democrats added, to apply domestic violence protections to Native Americans, undocumented immigrants and LGBT families. This has drawn a veto threat from the White House, a bold move in a time where Democrats have cited a "war on women" from Republicans..."
H.R. 4970: Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2012 -
Without taking a position on your HR bill... with this announcement, the election just very clearly became about ONE THING - the economy, budget, entitlement programs, and the big picture of how we get our financial house in order. Social policies just got trumped. The Ryan choice all but guarantees that.
The election was already about the economy which Romney has yet to out a real plan for. Then you've got the Ryan plan which takes from the vulnerable, the middle class, the elderly, the poor to give to the people who don't need any help.
Get poor people to work harder by taking from them get rich people to work harder by giving them more???
The right has forgotten what the measure of a successul society is and the how prosperity is meausured. Prosperity is not measured by the amounts of money and power of those who have most it is measured by how much is in the hands of those with least.
If you believe different would you claim that N Korea is a rich society. The ones with most have millions maybe billions is that a rich society? Is that a prosperous society?
Ryan also vvoted against the Lily Ledbetter bill. No equal pay for women from Ryan. No protections. No Planned Parenthood. No help with domestic violence. If Romney hasn't ruined the women's vote, Ryan will.
Under the tutelege of the T-Party, the GOP has become the party of big spenders and big government. Big deficit raisers! Obama keeps government smaller and taxes low.
The T-party will take the GOP right off a cliff. Further to the right, more to the right, all the way to the right,... . ................over the cliff! Lemmings!
don't forget to mention india that OBAMA is a little more conservative than he is a socialist or whatever other label they want to put on him. but he does look out for the AMERICAN PEOPLE WHICH IS MORE THEN THE PARTY OF OBSTRUCTIONISTS AND TREASONISTS.
This ad is a good start, but the Democrats must hit harder. These guys will destroy the economy all to give their billionaire cronies tax breaks. Ryan's budget even allows for American corporations to move their money to foreign shores to avoid paying taxes. If these guys get in Social Security can R.I.P.
This is a good example of an issue that will now suddenly actually be debated.
Social Security in it's current form/structure is DEAD. Any actuary knows it. Any economist knows it. It's DEAD. We just are avoiding talking about it. It can absolutely be saved. It's not even that hard. Put in a needs-based test would do a lot. Raise the retirement age as a function of longer lifespans and productive working years is the most obvious answer. There are a number of relatively small and easy things that could be done. More radical changes would be restructure the program and put the funds in the hands of the actual people so that they can be their own stewards rather than wards of "the state".
One thing is certain though - Ryan has a plan. You can disagree with it, but it's there. Obama's plan is "there's no problem". That's not a plan. That's a pipe dream. Unless and until Obama puts for a PLAN for saving SS, the dem arguments are just hot air.
Being full of hot air is better then being full of elephant dung.
Re: #22.1
If Social Security can be saved - as you pointed out - it is NOT DEAD!
There are a number of relatively small and easy things that could be done.
I think everyone agrees that changes need to be made. It can be done without making radical changes in a program that for the most part has worked well.
I am looking at retirement not too far down the road. I have some 401(k)s and spend a good share of 2009 with my eyes covered going "Oh No! Oh No!".
I know that whatever else happens, I can depend on Social Security no matter what happens.
You seem to misunderstand what "wards of the state" means - or for that matter what SS is.
How would you know you are supposedly canadian and you don't have a clue about anything going on in the US. All you do is show yourself as a banned re reg posting as much misinformation before the next ban.
Whomi............talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Youre even embarrassing Eddy and Maddow.
If you want some entertainment, click on "whomitmay" and read through his posts. It's like reading the ramblings of a 3rd grader.
I come here, rather than to some right-leaning place, because I like to read cogent posts and articulation of an opposing point of view. I respect intelligent opposition. I welcome it. I have my opinions, but have found myself more than once swayed by a well reasoned, intelligent and articulate counter opinion.
Whomitmay and a couple of others here are just name callers. His pervasive use of the words "whiner" and "liar" and his oh-so-clever plays on words that include Romney's name really get me thinking deeply on some of these difficult issues. Enormous contribution to how to think about some of these tough issues. I can't wait to read his next "you are a poopy head" response.
No we are tired of dealing with you tea bagged republicans repeating whatever Fox news tells you to repeat. How do we know that you are not a serious poster, you keep whining that no one agrees with your right wing nonsense. No the 3rd grader would be you, teacher said ( Fox ) and you repeat like a good little boy.
'Whiner and liar describes you 'intellectuals' to a tee. Along with hypocrite nutcases.
What would you know about 'clarity', you're a nutcase teabagger posing as a 'Canadian'...LOL
John in Texas, I sure haven't heard him say, "Eh" yet, have you? LOL
I notice he spells like an American, too.
LOL...No I haven't India. I do get a kick out of these 'baggers tho. I haven't figured out if they are actually insane or just eat up with ignorance. Maybe both.
John I left you a message on your profile page.
In the United States everybody knows, that Romney will not win, not even the Republicans believe he will win, even worse, Romney himself believes he can't win. Four more years of Obama.
Romney will be like Palin, we will hear from them less and less untill something else comes along to fill the news and then not at all. They will be sitting in their re-living the dreams "that might have been".
These two are representative of everything that is wrong with America. ACA provides health care for everyone. Ryan's budget makes the elderly pay more to enrich the already bloated salaries of CEO's. They want to cut Social Security because they view you as a peasant, and they have no qualms about you having to work until the day you drop dead. They want to reduce women to second class citizens circa 1906. More jobs outsourced overseas for the sake of greed. Smaller government so that the Koch Brothers and the Big Oil interests that Ryan holds stock in can dump toxins into the environment, trample on the Civil Liberties belonging to people of color, and deregulate commerce so that giant corporations can rape and pillage at will. More tax cuts for the rich in the same old worn out mask of 'trickle down effect' that does nothing but make the rich richer and our country all the poorer. What a nightmare. I'm voting for Obama.
What are the republicons going to do when all the people who are receiving these outsourced jobs wake up after working for a few years and want a fairer share of the profits? It has happened over and over again. From the Philippines to China. There are only so many places and people in the world.
Well Exie, that's what I'm going to call you if you don't mind, because of the expansion of unions worldwide workers in other countries are being more heard from on their benefits and wages. So essentially the world is following the US's lead. Now the GOP wants to destroy unions and regulations to allow workers to be in unsafe conditions for terrible wages. The GOP believes the way to compete with China is to treat our people as poorly as the Chinese do their own.
They'd like to see us race these nations to the bottom
Dont know that much about Ryan but will be watching for information ,pro or con, to see who he is. So far it seems that Dems and Republicans alike see him as a very good budget technician with integrity. I doubt we can believe any thing Eddy or Maddow have to say about the guy, so Ill glean my info from a more bipartin media.
You mean those blue dog dems, the closet republicans?
BS, Blue dog dems voted with teabaggers every time. Check the facts, oh thats right, you 'baggers don't know what a fact is. BD pose as Dems, much like you posing as a 'Canadian'..lol..but vote 'bagger. That way they can help get elected by both parties voters. You can have them, they're your kind of ppl, pond scum.
John, slug trails. Slime from slug trails.
truth john truth here is the truth not your BS blue dog made up stuff
Privitizing SS, Are YOU willing to Gamble on the Market? Talk about the ACA, Does everyone that is so against it not know anyone that has a Pre-EX Cond? Doesn't it Bother anyone that YOU or a member of your family or friend's that do can simply be DUMPED? heart disease, diabetes, Cancer, WHY wouldn't you want to be protected from that occuring to you or a family member or a friend? I went to a Ryan Listening session, Once that is, And how he talked about the OIL boom in ND and his point is Drill and Get it, are OIL problem's are over!! Well, he never made mention of the Safety issues or Enviromental Concern's that are involved, His view that I took away from it is Profit before Safety, De-regulate.
Very good point about the Affordable Care Act. Yes there are millions with pre-exisisting condition. This the scariest thing about Ryan, the young healthy appearing Ryan, who talks like he's ready to kill older and more needier Americans security when it comes to their healthcare.
Assad romneycare's spokes girl andrea saul, has brought up the most important issue in this election. "well if Mr. Sobol had lived in Massachussetts, he would have had access to healthcare.
With Obamacare "ALL" american citizens will have access to healthcare, even the millions with pre-exsisting conditions, no matter where they live, except maybe those states with republican governors, but generally all across America. You will not have to live in Massachussetts.
Obamacare, basically just a Federal version of romneycare. Yet this man is running from his greatest deed. How can we trust a man who does stand by his greatest feat, but instead runs from it. Who is this man? What does he stand for?
He stands for keeping his taxes even lower. He stands for Mitt Romney.
The rest of us, according to this duo's policies, can simply drop dead. The only civilized country in the world that puts profit over people. And the righties like that idea, even the poor, ill educated ones don't want the ACA and they really need it!
It's insanity. It's stupidity. It's unbelievable.
'Only little ppl pay taxes'- Leona Helmsly
Talking about ACA, I had a colleague whose wife lost her job. He wanted to put her on his insurance. She was pregnant. They refused to insure her pregnancy because it was a pre-existing condition. They had to pay for everything out of pocket, doctor, delivery, hospital, baby care in the hospital. AFTER she and the baby were released from the hospital, then the insurance company would accept her and the baby as customers. They paid that bill for a long, long time. If the ACA had been in effect, they would not have been pushed near the point of bankruptcy paying the thousands and thousands of dollars for her and the baby's care. It wasn't her fault that she lost her job. The company had been bought by another company and they closed down many of the branches and outsourced the jobs. Eventually the entire company moved overseas. This was in 1990.
Karensc, That's what kills me about people who make remarks like xepdx or whatever his name is, when they say, "Americans like to do it on their own. They don't want a free ride". Idiot, you PAY for health insurance here. It's not a free ride. Under the ACA you still PAY for it, it is just more affordable. In other countries you don't pay as we do here, it is through taxes.
And if you don't have it, it can BREAK you if a sudden illness hits. (or as you said, a pregnancy). With universal care, it costs nothing in the way we pay here, but is taken from taxes. The wealthy lobbyists here in the USA will not let that happen. They pay the whores in congress to keep Americans paying through the nose or dying from lack of insurance.
The worst system in the free, industrialized world. Thanks, congress. You've kept us hurting now since Truman tried to give us health insurance.
And we pay them and give THEM the best coverage. Is this fair? To me, this is the BIG CHANGE we need. Stop the damn bribery so something can get done to help Americans. THAT'S WHY YOU ARE THERE! Not to make yourselves RICH!
Canadian Liberty, Obama is the current President, the guy with the short afro hair cut, the guy you are talking about is the 'Stuffed Shirt' who laughs when he gets caught in a lie. You have your people mixed up. Sorry
OBAMA 2012
You are the joke you illiterate donkey! Again... AA's don't care if unemployment is at 72%, we are not buying what these con men are selling! Am I clear, do you understand now or should I say it LOUDER!!
Maybe I should have used another number for this donkey! We don't care if it's at 82%... we are not buying the BS!!
LOL...Teabaggers that are pure suckers love to lick the boot that kicks them. You are a classic example
Dumbass, remember when the teabaggers refused to extend unemployment benefits to the unemployed at christmas unless the Dems extended the bush tax cuts holding the middle class hostage once again? You ppl are truly pathetic, but entertaining with your uncanny lack of knowledge you love to expose so much. Or are you just full of sh**?
John, I actually started to read your reply until I read the first word, then I realized the rest was going to just be more BS. India, I have read every post where you demonize CL simply for the amount of posts he makes, but absolutely nothing to Rex or John (not really in Texas) about the inflammatory language? Why is that? What happened to Obama asking all of his groupies to be civil when we debate issues? Just like most of his ads, only lies.
Prove it wrong then Bug, put up or STFU. By the way, if you can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen or stop your whinning. You teabagger asked for what you get in here so deal with it or get out.
hey bugsby, #31.8 I guess it's OK with you that he calls me a J.A. and a D.B.! That's just fine! You righties need to find a place to spew your hate other than here.
He's no Canadian. He's a T-party American re-reg troll. He's here to do nothing but make trouble and get us off the subject.
Honestly, I don't know if those initials mean what you are alleging, but I have a hunch you are pretty close. At least he used initials and does not come right out and say it. Never said agreed with what he said...And for the record I think it was completely wrong, and does not belong on this blog...Right John? John seems to take a liking to blog rules when those that do not agree with him post, but those same rules seem to not exist when he posts. So, John...YOU STFU!!
CL...I see your point and stand corrected. Sorry!!
