I'm watching Rachel's show about the Repug Attorney General in Ohio breaking the tie along partisan lines in favor of the Repugs when it comes to early voting only being made available in Repug districts.

Here's an idea for Ohio that could resolve this issue in the future... besides the obvious of never putting Repugs in high state offices ever again... which makes alot of these problems with voter suppression non-existent in the first place.

Here in California... the election boards are comprised of 5 people, 2 Democrats, 2 Repugs and 1 Independent. Thus whenever votes come down along partisan lines... there is an Independent who breaks the tie and it's generally in the favor of fairness. They are also the same board who draw the electorial district boundaries, etc. which hopefully also makes the districts more even in terms of population and party affiliation.

So there is no need to have to rely on a partisan Attorney General like in Ohio breaking a tie in favor of their own party.... and making it harder for the opposing party to have the same opportunity to vote.

So think about it Ohio... putting an Independent on all of your election boards and avoid this problem in the future. As for your current scheming and less than honorable Repug Attorney General... he should be run out of office in the next election.

then what does the Super PAC get for running its own campaign to support Mitt Romney? Realistically you would assume they support the policies of Romney over Obama. For one, Obama wants to raise taxes on the rich. Romney wants to cut taxes for everyone. It stands to reason that rich folks would prefer a Romney presidency. So rich folks give to a Super PAC supporting Romney and try to get him elected. What do they get? Their taxes aren't raised.

This obviously applies to all sorts of policies. Obama is in favor of heavy government regulation and Romney has indicated support for less government involvement in various industries. If yours is an industry where the government is heavily involved or trying to become more heavily involved, you might prefer a Romney Presidency. Thus you donate to a Super PAC supporting him in hopes he can win the election as his policies would favor you or your business.

The same is true for Super PAC's supporting Obama. Although it is worth noting Obama condemned Super PACs in the State of the Union and called on Congress to overturn the Supreme Court's ruling on Citizen's United. I guess if you can't beat them, join them. But anyway, if you think we should spend less on the military and tax the rich more, you would want to see an Obama reelection and not a Romney presidency. So you donate to a Super PAC supporting Obama and they run a separate campaign to try and elect Obama.

Nothing is in it for the Super PAC's themselves. But those who donate to them likely have some vested interest in seeing their candidate win.

I wish Edward, but I heard a female on the Stephanie Miller show who called in this morning and said that Obama was the one who lied and she had a whole list of his lies.
