I would suggest he will get just slightly more than 50% of the women's vote, less than half of the independent vote, and a solid majority of the Latino vote. He will get all of the msnbc vote, none of the Fox vote, and the Fox vote is much larger. The youth vote, putting him over the top in 2008, may be disenfranchised by a lack of jobs and the realization that you and I will be retired before the debt can be touched, so it will fall to them.

Orange County, California is full of beautiful sprawling oceanfront homes and locale, fine dining and shopping, Disneyland and California Adventure and on its surface, makes life appear the way it should be...or should it? Orange County is also home of hate crimes where notable hate crime cases include crimes against Hispanics, Jews and homosexuals. Orange County is also a place where racism runs at an all time high where once people may have shouted at African-Americans, Jews, Hispanics and gays, but as a sign of the times, they now send it in an email.

In February 2009, Los Alamitos Mayor Dean Grose, an Orange County Republican, welcomed the inauguration of the first African American U.S. president by sending out an email that depicted a watermelon field in front of the White House drawing international attention. He later apologized.

On Friday, another Orange County Republican, MarilynMarilyn Davenport, continues this embarassing newfound tradition and attempts to best the watermelon imagery with another racist attack on President Barack Obama. Davenport is a Southern California Tea Party activist and member of the central committee of the Orange County Republican Party.

Under the words, "Now you know why no birth certificate," there's an Obama family portrait showing them as apes. [PHOTO]

Davenport was later contacted by telephone and asked by the media if she thought the email was appropriate. Her response:

"Oh, come on! Everybody who knows me knows that I am not a racist. It was a joke. I have friends who are black. Besides, I only sent it to a few people--mostly people I didn't think would be upset by it."

According to a report in the OC Weekly, Scott Baugh, chairman of the OC Republican Party, told Davenport that the email was tasteless.

"You're not going to make a big deal about this are you?" Davenport asked reporter R. Scott Moxley in a telephone interview covering the story. "It's just an Internet joke."

Moxley says that Baugh believes the email is a big deal.

"When I saw that email today I thought it was despicable," Baugh said. "It is dripping with racism and it does not promote the type of message Orange County Republicans want to deliver to the public. I think she should consider stepping down as an elected official."

Michael J. Schroeder, an Orange County resident and former chairman of the California Republican Party, also said he was disgusted. "This is a three strikes situation for Marilyn Davenport," Schroeder said. "She was a passionate defender of former Newport Beach city councilman Dick Nichols who stated that he was voting against putting in more grass at Corona del Mar's beach because, he said, there were already 'too many Mexicans on the beach.' She was also on the wrong side of the fence with the Los Alamitos mayor and his White House watermelon patch picture. Now, she has managed to top both of those incidents by comparing African Americans to monkeys. She has disgraced herself and needs to resign. If she doesn't, the Republican Party must remove her."

According to Moxley, Davenport has yet to admit she has made a mistake. After Moxley's report was published, Davenport sent yet another email to fellow California conservative activists demanding to know the identity of the person that gave him a copy of the email message.

What I disapprove of juststatingasitis is the way the republicans stonewall almost everything Obama tries to do to kickstart things. Cutting taxes is not the way to go. I agree that fiscal responsibility needs to be implemented, but the republicans are just as responsible for the mess we are in. We did it their way for 8 years, now give the Dems 8 years without republicans putting a hold on everything. You may be surprised, 4 more years may be the winner. Remember, the collapse did not happen until Bush's second 4 years. Think about it, we will be out of Afghanistan. We will be winding down the war machine I hope which will free up a lot of money to be cut from the military. We can then focus more on manufacturing and innovation. People just seem to think that 8 years of screw up can be fixed in half the time it takes to screw it up.

One of the Council's recommendations to President Obama was to streamline the federal permit process for construction and infrastructure projects. It was explained to Obama that the permitting process can delay projects for "months to years ... and in many cases even cause projects to be abandoned ... I'm sure that when you implemented the Recovery Act your staff briefed you on many of these challenges." I can tell you what the problem is again,.....so many people expect overnight changes to occur, but these knuckleheads who want to rush do not think about how long it took for the bottom to fall out in the first place. Recovery will take corporations with about $5 trillion saved to INVEST, INVEST, INVEST. DO NOT EXPECT RETURNS FOR MANY YEARS, THAT IS WHY IT IS CALLED INVESTING!!!! Those that EXPECT instant return or gratification will NEVER get it. Turning things around will take time because the previous Admin REALLY SCREWED ALL OF US UP!!! Face this FACT and allow for new investments to return something, stop EXPECTING instant returns from investments. My boss is the same way, hurry up and get it done, then when you hurry something you make mistakes and yes he is republican. That is why I have been SLOWLY investing my own money in my business, in time I will start to get returns, but my business will be strong not weak like when conservatives run them.....FACT! This is why I hate investors, they always expect instant gratification. Learn to be patient and good things will come to those who wait. Look at what happens when things are rushed, consider all of the garbage we get from China and I mean crappy products that do not fit right, fall apart or just last for the length of the warranty if that long and then you cannot find these manufacturers to get a replacement.

I will not debate this issue anymore because you obviously cannot be convinced that rushing things is not the right way.
