Just last week, Hope was found in horrible condition.
Last week, we told you about Hope, an abandoned and abused dog, found wandering the streets with her jaw forcibly shut by electrical tape.
Hope's story resonated with a lot of people-- and donations and adoption offers poured in.
Thanks to her caregivers, Hope is on the mend.
And now, more good news: she will be adopted by a local Texas family.
From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:
... Hope, is recovering nicely and will soon move to a new home: the Moncrief ranch, where she will share quarters with horses, eight other adopted dogs ...

Poor baby girl. I think she should be adopted by an older couple who can give her undivided attention and spoil her rotten!
An older couple might be able to give a lot of attention and love, but depending on how old this little dog, Hope, is... they might not be able to give it enough exercise or stimulation. Some breeds need more walking, play and exercise than older people might be able to.
who could do this to an innocent animal?? find the person(s) that did this horrific torture to this innocent dog and do the same thing to them. no animal should suffer for the stupidity of another person. thankfully, hope has a new lease on life and will be loved and cared for. God bless her adoptive family!!!
It had to be more than one person. One person couldn't pull her tongue out, clamp her jaws down and wrap tape around her mouth all by himself. I'm assuming it was males. I'd hate to think females could do this. Sick, mean, people.
Most definitely... the person(s) who did this need to be held down, have their tongue pulled out and their jaws wired shut also.... so they can see how it feels.
I normally don't like seeing anyone abused or hurt, but I'd love to see a picture of that. These monsters deserve their own treatment. I agree... what possesses someone to do something this cruel to an innocent animal.
Of course I think the same thing when I'm reminded of poor Seamus's 12 hour trip on top of the Romney's station wagon.

It's terrible. But, amazing as it seems, some women fight for the right to kill their unborn babies... This isn't quite as bad, but it is still evil.
I'm so glad. I rescued an abandoned and abused five year old kitty who, once he learned to trust me is the most affectionate cat.
I have a Ferrel cat that comes around once in a while. He's actually scratched me when I tried to pet him. I've been feeding him off and on for over two years and I still cannot get him to warm up to me. But at least I feed him. Sometimes he looks fairly good and healthy but sometimes he looks so scraggly.
I've even named him Ferrel. Lots of people ask me how he's doing whenever I visit them!

Ahhh... this seems to be the place for animal lovers and rescuers. I have been the feeder and adopted owner of many cats over the years.... all of which have been either ferrel or abandoned... some kittens and some full grown. I think more often than not, cats adopt their people rather than the other way around.
I currently belong to 3 cats officially and have just recently been acquired by a new kitty who is still a young kitty, under a year old and sitting on my lap. There are also at least 3 other cats who come around just for a meal in the evenings, though they would like to stay permanently and one has been making himself comfortable on my sofa recently.
Sometimes it takes awhile for a ferrel cat to learn to trust you enough before they let you touch or pet them. I often let the cat make the first contact by rubbing against me to leave their scent, as an invitation for contact. Knowing cat social etiquette is a must to be adopted by a cat.
That is heartbreaking. I'm not sure if that is a dog treat or the poor thing's swollen tongue. This is appalling!
Okay. I just clicked on the link and found out it is the dogs tongue. Makes me sick to my stomach that anyone would do this.

anyone who would do this to a poor little animal would have no problem abusing, raping or killing another human being ---especially if you anger them in any way!
We need to punish these people--not just slap them on the wrist.
