At a town hall on Tuesday Mitt Romney complained about the lamestream media, saying that it's mostly in the tank for the President. He went on to sing the praises of the new network of right wing media that allows him to get his message out, largely unchallenged. (Fox News, Newsmax, Drudge, etc)
Today, after three days worth of his Bain SEC disaster, Romney has relented and will sit down for interviews with NBC, ABC, and CBS. Luckily, Romney's pals at the Drudge Report floated the bogus Condi Rice story so that will take up much of the oxygen in the interviews. Still, pretty remarkable how Romney spent the beginning of the week trashing traditional media outlets and now he's running to them to try and save himself.

I went to the Catholic church food bank a few weeks ago and was very excited about the Supreme Court upholding the Affordable Care Act. I got a very cold reception and an almost heated discussion about the election. After a few minutes, i realized I was in the wrong place, ( a church of all places) and said just give me my food an let me out of here, They wanted to know "Where do I get my information", to which i replied "well, you obviously watch Fox News. enough said. ♥♥
HAH== robMe - What a Dooosh-bag -- He Is Not Committed to the U.S.A. -- He Is NOT Committed to Any American -- Other Than The Disgustingly Wealthy and Special Interest groups / Gangs / Mobs /neo-Cons / Nazi's ----------- What-A-GOMER !!!!!!! He IS OUT-Of-Touch with Americans = I Do Not Care How Much He "ACTS" as Though he is = He Just Plain and Simple - Does NOT Have A CLUE -- Nor Does He Care ==== Goofball !!!!
MD/MI - thank God you are a felon and can't vote... probably don't work either... So if I'm paying your cable bill while you munch on Cheetos - take a break and actually read or watch some honest press and news...moron...
Thank You For Your Reply !!!!!!!! he heheheheeeeeeeee !!!!!
It's an absolute shame that the Catholic Church has allied itself so intimately with the extreme right-wing republicans. Initially, there was a section of the ACA that would have required the Church to provide health care coverage for their lay employees's prescription birth control. American Catholic bishops went ballistic, declaring a Jihad on President Obama, declaring him the greatest threat on Freedom of Religion in the history of humankind. Although that requirement for the Church to cover it's employees birth control prescriptions was rescinded, bishops such as Daniel Jenky of Peoria, Illinois stood at his bully pulpit and proclaimed President Obama to be a worst tyrant than Hitler and Stalin. Other prominent Church leaders have donned their armour in order to perpetuate this Holy War against President Obama--leaders such as Archbishop Dolan of New York.
Owing to their opposition to the use of birth control and their belief that abortion is immoral, the American Catholic Church has taken up the mantle of the ultra-conservative right-wing, and is throwing it's considerable influence and fortune into its support of Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Walsh, West, and the rest of those who strive to rip away the social safety net for the majority of Americans while enhancing the personal fortunes of our wealthiest one-percent.
The Catholic Church has determined that their stance on birth control and abortion (and now same-sex marriage) justifies their attacks on President Obama, despite their understanding that the republican right-wing is endeavoring to plunge tens of millions more Americans into poverty. The republican right-wing is perpetrating a form of genocide upon America, but our revered Catholic bishops choose to ignore that--just as they chose to ignore the Bush administration lies about WMDs in Iraq that plunged the US into an unnecessary, immoral (by the Catholic Church's definition), and decade-long war that cost the United States tens of thousands of lives and trillions of dollars. Neither did these bishops voice any outrage over the Bush administration's implementation of torture as a legitimate weapon in a mostly fabricated "war on terror."
It seems that, at least for now, there is only one glimmer of light coming from the Catholic Church: thank God for "Nuns on the Bus."
Amen = AC = {{"Nice Post"}} - Brah/Sis !!!!!
You know, I'm a Catholic who attends church every Sunday. I have never, ever, ever, ever heard any kind of politics there from anyone.
I really resent the statement ACitizen made at the very end of #1.4 "There is only one glimmer of light coming from the Catholic Church and it is nuns on a bus."
Excuse me.....every time I receive communion I am looking at the face of Christ, Who IS the LIGHT in the Catholic Church. Not a bunch of well intentioned NUNS on a bus!
The Catholic church has NEVER thrown its support to Romney. Indeed, the Ryan plan has been declared immoral by the church! I have also, never, ever, ever, ever heard ANYONE attack Obama in my church. NEVER.
We have the Eucharist, a few hymns, and the mass is ended and we shake the priest's hand and go HOME! Politics do not belong in church and I assure you, I have never heard a whif of them in mine.
The Catholic church is not pushing its views on birth control, contraception or abortion on anyone who is not Catholic! I believe that is the Republican Party, Sir! Mainly the extreme evangelical right wing of the T-party.
The fringe elements you speak of in your comment are in no way representative of the Catholic church. There is no Jihad on our president or anyone else.
It may surprise you to learn that Nancy Pelosi is a devout Catholic.
I don't hear Nancy supporting Romney, do you?
texasvet. Well texas tells a lot about your insulting manner. I hope Tyler is paying attention. After one comment, you insult someone you know nothing about. You think you are soooo important you can just say what ever to anybody. You sir, are an insult to all Vets. I'm sorry to be in that group. We did not fight to give you the right to insult strangers. Give em hell MD
The Obama campaign is lying!!!!!!!
VOTE NO Obama 2012!!!!!!
India, am I mistaken that the U.S. bishops, as a group, have taken to opposing the birth control provision of the ACA with such zeal that the held a "Fortnight For Freedom" on this subject and have directed that parish priests make it part of their message to parishoners to oppose this? It appears that the "official" Catholic Church has become quite political of late in pushing an agenda that awfully damn close to the right wing's. I know these are the same bishops that talk about needing the government to do more to fight poverty and to address the drastic degree of wealth disparity in this country but I'm not aware that they ever put as much energy into those issues as the due birth control and abortion. But they are the Church while you are the church so I don't think you need to be offended when the Church gets criticized. It isn't being aimed at you.
India LeCarre says:
Nice Point, India. Did you know that John Boehner is also a devout Roman Catholic?
The networks should insist he come with ALL his tax returns otherwise he is just getting free exposure.
Romney allowed CNN an interview, but he did not say Y is his name in the SEC documents. I don't believe that Romney's ego would have allowed him to have his name in a legal document without him demanding to have the power of decision making in the organization.
If he did and charged them $100,000/yr to use his name then it was meant to be deceitful, mean to hide something. Before the fall, an investigation should ensue from here. He is applying for the biggest position of his life. We are the employers. We are not allowed to be deceitful in our Resumes. Y should we allow a GOP candidate to continue shrugging his shoulders without answering questions.
If it was PBO who was under suspicion would the GOP leadership let it go. Look at the "fast and furious" thing. And that was Bush's baby. So why should the people be happy with Romney's evasion of the issue.
I've seen the media outlet ratings, they are in the tank especially for MSNBC.
Once again we get a poster from tea bagged land who just doesn't understand what TV ratings are, who decides TV ratings and the purpose of TV ratings.
just believe your joke of the news fox give you tea bagger jerk
Just a heads up, a news item you won't find on the Ed Show, The Obama Administration moves to strip the work requirement on the welfare reform act of 1996.
This is why you should not just believe everything you read or hear!!!
[emphasis added]
This is NOT STRIPPING THE WORK REQUIREMENT!! (sorry to yell)
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Information Memorandum
http:/
/www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/ofa/policy/im-ofa/2012/im201203/im201203.html
Background:
Section 1115 of the Social Security Act provides authority for the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to consider and approve experimental, pilot, or demonstration projects which, in the Secretary’s judgment, are likely to assist in promoting the objectives of Title IV-A. Section 1115 allows for waiver of compliance with section 402 of the Social Security Act to the extent and for the period necessary to enable a state to carry out an approved project. The statute also provides authority for costs of such projects which would not otherwise be an allowable use of funds under Part A of Title IV to be regarded as an allowable use of funds, to the extent and for the period approved.
As specified in statute, the purpose of Part A is to increase the flexibility of states in operating a program designed to: (1) provide assistance to needy families so that children may be cared for in their own homes or in the homes of relatives; (2) end the dependence of needy parents on government benefits by promoting job preparation, work, and marriage; (3) prevent and reduce the incidence of out-of-wedlock pregnancies and establish annual numerical goals for preventing and reducing the incidence of these pregnancies; and (4) encourage the formation and maintenance of two-parent families.
Purpose:
HHS is encouraging states to consider new, more effective ways to meet the goals of TANF, particularly helping parents successfully prepare for, find, and retain employment. Therefore, HHS is issuing this information memorandum to notify states of the Secretary’s willingness to exercise her waiver authority under section 1115 of the Social Security Act to allow states to test alternative and innovative strategies, policies, and procedures that are designed to improve employment outcomes for needy families.
States led the way on welfare reform in the 1990s — testing new approaches and learning what worked and what did not. The Secretary is interested in using her authority to approve waiver demonstrations to challenge states to engage in a new round of innovation that seeks to find more effective mechanisms for helping families succeed in employment. In providing for these demonstrations, HHS will hold states accountable by requiring both a federally-approved evaluation and interim performance targets that ensure an immediate focus on measurable outcomes. States must develop evaluation plans that are sufficient to evaluate the effect of the proposed approach in furthering a TANF purpose as well as interim targets the state commits to achieve. States that fail to meet interim outcome targets will be required to develop an improvement plan and can face termination of the waiver project.
The demonstration authority provided by section 1115 and sound evaluation of approved projects will provide valuable knowledge that will help lead to improvements in achieving the purposes of the TANF program.
Maphi whats rather funny is how they whine there are no jobs then in the next breath claim poor people should get jobs. Always the inability to connect the dots. Really what good are work first programs when they are using them in high unemployed areas. But then that is just another example of GOP stupidity, like in the 70's when they built the housing projects they built them in inner cities where their were no jobs close by meaning poor had to commute in order to search for jobs far from where they lived.
Whomitmay,
It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.
Gee, davey, I wonder what your head is up.
Aint no sunshine where he's gone.
Maphi's info shows lifting work requirements amending work restrictions is allowed as described. That will give back some of what Clinton's 1996 Welfare Act took from those with the least. Obama could also go after Clinton's 1999 Citicorp Relief Act and 2000 Commodities Act that were major factors in getting us to where we are today, including the JP Morgan financial rigging and everyone else's financial escapades at ultimate expense of the people.
@bluesmokeandmirrors
I read the memorandum as not "lifting work requirements" but allowing the states to find more effective ways of achieving the same goal.
The right is always screaming bloody murder about the federal government imposing regulations on the States.
So why are they now screaming bloody murder about the HHS department letting the States try it their own way?
The Clinton Acts you mentioned began the deregulation of the financial industry.
The Dodd-Frank Bill was intended to put those regulations back - and, in addition, address the new inventions that the former regulations did not cover.
It it the Republican controlled House that is blocking implementation of those regulations.
So President Obama and the Democrats are trying to do just what you said was needed.
True! Big O has just gutted President Clinton's welfare reform program - one of his most recognized accomplishments - crafted between both parties. Clinton was (and is) a class act and a good President.
This should serve to wake up hard working people to the continued give-a-ways-for-votes of the current administration.
Texas...as a conservative who longs for the days when the two parties would be civil to each other...yes BOTH parties....I would be happy to amend the constitution and allow Bill clinton to come back for at least one more term as long as the Republicans were given control of the house and the senate...not veto proof control, just majority control. The best days of my lifetime were from the period of 1993 - 2000 when Clinton was president. Our country thrived and it felt like we were all willing to work toward the common good.
Unfortunately, those days are long gone...
just saying...
Maphi: Dodd-Frank doesn't make it like before. It is a compromise that is not enough. I agree that Obama and the Dems are trying. Not as vociferous as Republicans nor as I believe they should be. This is a time in history when much more is needed.
stormguy53 - that is a very wise sentiment and idea - excellent!
Well seeing as you agreed with capt re reg we know exactly what your problem is. His bad history rewrites were always so amusing and made everyone question his teaching abilities and wonder how he made it in order to get his government pension. Oh capt re reg never told you he has 2 government handouts he lives on.
Whom...you have been challenged at least twice and maybe three times to put up the proof or shut up with your false accusations. I know there is nothing I can do because this board is run by leftists, but I would think that for someone like you who lies constantly, the moderators would at least show some sense of responsibility.
just saying..
Right capt re reg. You gave yourself away a long time ago. Everyone knows its you because no one rewrites history as much or as badly as you do. It is your man crush of Glen Beck that gives you away as well, you think you are smarter then you really are, the only one who believes you is you.
well...if you don't believe in yourself, no one else should.
and regarding your concept of a man crush...please find the last time(if any) that I ever even mentioned the name Glen Beck. I would be interested in knowing the answer to that..
Obviously, you can not provide proof...but if it gives you a thrill to keep telling a lie, please do.
just saying...
Right that is why you use Becks "just saying" at the end of every post just like you did before you were banned. Back then all you did was gush all of your love for anything Beck. As far as personal defects you better look into your own because it has you agreeing to disagree with yourself
Romney thinks the American people are a bunch of peons and dimwits. He thinks he can pull the wool over their eyes. He thinks he can get away with whatever he wants because he is filthy rich. He may be right, but I hope not. We did vote Bush in twice and it almost destroyed the Country. We have short memories. I hope to God Obama wins, and I will be voting, donating and volunteering. The ACA is a litrerally a lifesaver for our family. I have a child with a pre-existing condition.
we did NOT vote bush in twice. in 2000 he was "annointed" president by his daddy's friends, the supreme court, because they took away florida's right to vote. they stopped the recount because they felt threatened by a Gore "win". they sent republican protestors to florida (before the recount was stopped) who were given high ranking positions in the bush administration.
in ohio in 2004, 90,000 votes were stolen from John Kerry (computer hacking- karl rove) and given to W. bush.
w. bush was "president" for 8 years, and did not win either election, and drove this country into the ditch, along with his accomplices, the repub party. they loved everything he did as evidenced by giving him everything he wanted.
all of a sudden they are blaming President Obama for the financial crisis we find ourselves in. when President Obama took office he did at least two things immediately, two things that bush did not care about.
President Obama ramped up the hunt for bin laden, and he told the truth about the cost of the iraqi and afghanistan wars, 2 wars, along with medicare part D, that w. bush kept off the books. President Obama said, "we will no longer lie to the american people about the cost of these wars".
this is why repub/baggers who don't know the facts, or repub/baggers who want to ignore the facts blame the president for the deficit, when all he is doing is paying down the debt that bush put on the credit card.
bush cooked the books on the 2 wars, and medicare part D, and probably some other stuff.
The Obama campaign is lying!!!!!!!
VOTE NO Obama 2012!!!!!!
suzette-that's why the Republicans are so bold now. They foisted an unelected president on the U.S., so they think they can get away with anything now.
How many votes are they going to steal from Obama, not counting all this voter ID crap?? He will be lucky to survive that even if the DOJ stops the purges, but what else do they have planned??
If you think about it, all the major news networks are owned by huge corporations. They no longer the unbiased truth conveyors of yesterday. Too bad. What you have to do is really work at it and get a sampling of all of them and try to research whatever. What one has to do is make up your own mind but keep it open to new info.
The media is historically owned more by Republicans than Democrats, going back to major newspaper publishers of years ago. These talk show models are agenda driven to get to the next commercial thereby a paradigm that prevents pursuing unanswered questions form guests before moving on to the next item on the agenda. Issues that require more depth are moved-out by the news cycle oriented replacements that challenge sustained focus with other attention-deficit subject.
who writes this crap
how do you use "relented" and "ran too" in the same paragraph describing Romney going on interviews with the liberal lame stream media
"relented" is when you reluctantly agree do to something you preticully dont want to do
"ran to" is when you want to eagerly do something
MSNBC you need to get better writers. I know times are tough with your low ratings, but spend the extra money and stop having interns write these blog topics
What does "preticully" mean?
Maphi notice trf has a limited understanding of word usage, he doesn't get the term run to in the way the story pertains to, Mittens is running to the MSM for help because of his current troubles.
He also focused like a laser on the important points of the story.
TRF talking about the importance of words while misspelling most of them.
Chris if they weren't such jerks you could almost feel sorry for them as they watch their great white hope crashing right before their eyes like the 7 other GOP contenders crashed and burned in the last year. Won't it be funny if RP gets the nomination, RP is hated even worse then Mittens and if RP gets it by default he will even have a harder time because of Mittens screw ups. LOL, got to love the GOP since GWB they are just falling apart at the seams.
@whomitmay
The GOP - who you claim are falling apart at the seams - was able to capture majorities in state legislatures and governors so that they could pursue their right-wing extreme agendas. They also have a chance to keep a majority in the House, get a majority in the Senate and have the Presidency.
This is frightening.
Though, that was two years ago. I think people have had a lot of time to see exactly what these clowns are all about. I don't think they're as popular now as they were then.
I also think it had a lot to do with backlash against a black president, and the ACA, both of which a lot of people have gotten more comfortable with.
They ran on jobs jobs jobs for one thing and states like Michigan will always vote a R governor in after a democrat leaves office. It has been that way since the 80's. Notice that everyone of the states that voted R also are now having buyers remorse, Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan are all asking themselves how did they allow themselves to be fooled.
Et doens't seam to buther youu a bit to putt yuolr writeens in thes blog.
Bye bye: Fox Nation is calling you..,don't miss the latest lieing viral email.
MAPHI-
What does "preticully" mean?
That is actually George Dubbya speak translated into proper English, he meant-particularly. Yes, let's have more cuts in education, PARTICULARLY in the Red States and then we will see even more posts with the New Reublitea version of English. Tis a sad day especially when we have spell check,
To borrow a catch phrase from Stormguy------Just Sayin'!
Seems like a lot of trolls were asleep during grammar school, especially spelling and punctuation.
None ever got so far as college logic class.
Worse India they haven't figured out how to use spell check.
whomitmay says:
I live in Michigan. My Ideology is moderately progressive, and I consider MSNBC far more reliable than FOX. Having said that, I gotta stick up for Gov. Snyder here. He is no Scott Walker or any other of these fringe characters that people stupidly elected to state houses and for governors because they fell for all the attack ads run against Democratic candidates by the well funded Tea Party groups and SuperPacs that took advantage of the Citizens United ruling by SCOTUS.
Governor Snyder just vetoed a voter ID bill the Republican Legislature pushed at him. He didn't see where voter fraud was a problem. Gov. Snyder has also said he is not interested in pursuing a Right To Work policy in Michigan. Thirdly, Gov. Snyder finally got the bridge between Detroit and Windsor on track despite the dogged obstructionism by the Republican Legislature. What's more, the bridge won't cost Michigan Taxpayers anything at all - Canada will finance the bridge and make up the coat by collecting fares on the Windsor end of the bridge. There's another bridge already there between Detroit and Windsor - the Ambassador Bridge - but it's inadequate for handling all the truck traffic between the US and Canada. It's privately owned by a billionaire named Maroun, who is fighting desperately to block the bridge so he can make more billions in fare proceeds, and he has the Republican Legislature in his pocket.
Gov. Snyder has done all these things in spite of the Republicans' efforts to derail him. Where Gov. Snyder has been pilloried on this network is his emergency manager policies - policies that were already in place under former Governor Jennifer Granholm - a Democrat. Snyder just put more meat on the bones of an existing policy. But here's the thing. Everywhere there has been an emergency manager installed there has been intractable fiscal problems that had been building up over several years. The jury's still out on whether this tactic has improved on the situations these communities faced, but it's noteworthy that the Muskegon Heights school district has asked for an emergency manager to be put in charge.
Unlike FOX, I consider MSNBC a more balanced source of news. There's Joe Scarborough in the morning, who's show often brings in conservative guests such as Dan Senor and others. Former RNC Chair Michael Steele is employed by MSNBC as an analyst. When Ed has his panel discussions he tries to provide ideological balance. Rachel Maddow tries, often unsuccessfully, to bring in conservative guests for interviews. When one looks at FOX, one sees a steady diet of conservative talk show hosts interviewing conservative guests where they gang up on Obama and other prominent Democrats in a one-sided verbal assault. And I also notice that dirt on Republican figures don't get mentioned, it's just singing praises non stop. I just don't like to see MSNBC pursue such tactics. I wish there were more balance vis-a-vis Gov. Snyder.
Having Whom critique anyone else's grammar provides me with a great laugh. He has the educational capabilities of a 2nd grader when it comes to spelling, punctuation and sentence structure.
Then again, 2nd graders everywhere right now might be mad at me for putting them on the same level with him.
just saying....
So sayeth capt re reg the guy who rewrites history and always gets it wrong. Hey capt re reg just saying means you don't know if its true or not which means more then likely you made it up.
Mitt! If your worried about the Media stop handing them such gems. Also, are not Media companies people. We have to allow hate speech from fox! you don't get to complain ! Mitt it sounds that you want the media to give you free campaign commercials and when you don't get them you start crying like a baby!
If you can't handle the heat you should have stayed out of the kitchen!
I'll believe corporations are people when Texas hangs one of them.
That is a great line and a terrific point.
Also--it's great to see someone who can sustain and share a bit of humor when so much venom is being spewed on this vine.
I'm disappointed by the increasing lack of civility being displayed by some contributors. I won't mention names, nor will I point to specific political perspectives, but even a casual reader can see just which writers repeatedly resort to name calling and insults, rather than relying upon thoughtful, well-reasoned argument that can be supported by verifiable facts.
Stick around. It gets worse.
Hey you, the real Chris, Stop stealing my lines about executing corporations! LOL
ACitizen, I tried to be polite in my response to your comment, #1.4. If I failed, I apologize.
I didn't steal it from you. I stole it from someone on the news who had a sign.
OK, then. I can deal with that. I stole it there, too. LOL
I believe we're among thieves.
Gotcha!
I agree with Senator Harry Reid that all Romney needed to do was release his tax returns for at least the last ten years. Instead he appeared to be pompous and arrogant. Since he has told so many lies about the President, why should we believe him when he says that he has followed all tax laws and paid what he owed? Even his father submitted his tax returns when he ran for President. Some how he thinks that rules are different for him because he is an extremely wealthy individual. And the GOP says that President Obama is dividing this country. What a joke when Mitt is really the person who continually shins a light on the difference between the l% of the 1% and the rest of us.
Obama's white half sure is stupid. He is "sorry the story he told" didn't work. Romney may go on ABC, NBC & CBS, but Prezie would never dare to go on FNC. I am so very happy the current administration is so transparent... It is wonderful that welfare reform authored and passed by Pres Clinton has been torn to shreds by Prez 0. Romney spoke to the NAACP as if they were actual adults and real people - not taking them for suckers or idiots - that took strength and character. The country would be better off if the Big O would have played more golf. Now I know for certain that this site is mostly cruised by mind-numb idiots that have only a few catch phrases and rants they can spew: "teabaggers, blame Bush, destroy the middle class..." Most of you haven't had an original thought for 3 and a half years - thank God you are probable felons and can't vote. Bring yourself on down to Texas where the housing market is still strong, people are working, investments are up, and oh yeah - Rick Perry leads the state with a Republican Statehouse.
Do most of you democrats wake up with brain freeze or just a dope induced fog? Liberals are definitely not civil people - perhaps the most cruel, ignorant and mean spirited life-form on the face of the earth.
Break out your talking points, scratch your heads and hunt-and-peck your replies or comments. Ready...set...go you clowns!
Right because conservaturds have been the bastions of civility. I never seen so much bull@!$%# since my uncle sold his dairy farm.
did he sell it for a profit? was he a capitalist? did he collect welfare? happy someone in your family worked an honest job. your uncle was probably either a conservative or a blue-dog, but I'll guarantee he wasn't a lazy liberal...
Just remember the more liberals there are the more valuable the people that actually know how to produce will be. The more people these mellon heads put on the public payrolls the more the procutive prvate class will prosper.
You want to see the 1% increase their worth - wait until the new healthcare law comes into effect, their personal worth will skyrocket.
He sure wasn't a lazy free loading with his handout whining he was entitled to more republican. Funny how whenever I ever worked with republicans they were always the first ones to the lunch room and the last to leave always whining that they weren't paid enough for the work they were doing. The one thing my uncle said republicans were good for was fertilizer because they were so full of @!$%# that you could never believe a word they said.
They're HEEEERRREEE, whomit.
I told you that in my "reply" on the other media source. Some newbies and re-regs. Nothing new.
Hey TexasVet.... Why is it so necessary for you to resort to such simple insults and name-calling? What are you compensating for? Oh, never mind, I'm pretty sure I know...
For starters, I'm in Texas and I'm a VET as well!! And, for you to pretend as though you have some kind of corner on the market of "truth" is ludicrous. To call others less than intelligent speaks volumes about you, not them.
Conservatives and Republicans (of which I'm sure you're both) are the single biggest political hypocrites I've EVER seen. All the things you are supposedly for, you continuously prove otherwise by the RESULTS of your policies. If Texas weren't filled with Oil and Gas, it would simply be another Michigan!
Everything you represent has to do with disconnecting you from everyone you believe disagrees with you!!! You espouse policies of greed, hatred, bigotry and intolerance. Thank GOD (and yes, I actually believe in God) that liberals will allow each other to have competing ideas, unlike yourself and the Ditto-Heads at FOX news.
Every single day, Rush and Drudge fling mountains of B.S. Talking Points for the entire fascist community who then lap it up like gravy only to spit it out via your own Sleazy Right-Wing Propaganda Outlets in the most vitriolic and hateful manner possible. To call yourself champions of either truth or freedom is laughable in the extreme.
I will give everything I can in support of Obama for the coming election, and you want to call someone out for debate on who's policies are better, I live in Houston!! By the way, you only wish I was a clown so you would have someone to play with, you child!
He is showing some of the civility he claims conservatives have so much of.
Suck it up Buttercups! Thought you left for work - have they made you a sandwich artist yet?
It is impossible to express how happy and satisfying it is to be a conservative in this country! I wake up every day just proud to be an American - free to express myself, to work, to serve.
I see people like whomitmay and primarily liberal everyday - I am a proctologist...
Apparently, you put your head into your work.
TherealChris, #11.3 Indeed, and I'll bet he likes his work.
While letting everybody else pay for the services that they use, sidewalks, bridges, police, firefighters, highways, etc., etc.
What are these policies of "greed, hatred, bigotry and intolerance"? I must have missed the Platform Meeting when these policies were discussed. Please give me a few pointers so I know what to say.
He has to live up to the right wing standards or he won't get his next talking points. He's the type that make me sorry to be in the "Vet" group. But I doubt he was in combat, so I guess we are in differant groups. He insulted MD after one comment so he doesn't care who he goes after. Hope Sally or Tyler are paying attention.
The Obama campaign is lying!!!!!!!
VOTE NO Obama 2012!!!!!!
Those are paid for by TAXES. You know, the thing that Robme doesn't like paying and wants to decrease for the rich even more?
If you're going to reply to my post, shouldn't it have something to do with what I said?
Prove that Mittens pays millions in taxes, his only tax release showed he paid 15% in taxes.
I don't think it works like that.
And the amount doesn't matter. It's the percentage that does.
Which you know. But keep pretending you don't.
Mitts is in damage control mode! He has avoided the media and reporters for months. He has refused to do interviews with anyone other than Fox and the one he did a couple of weeks ago, he refused to answer any questions. He can't talk off script. (more likely, he won't talk off script) Like Ann Richards said about Bush so many years ago, " he was born with a silver foot in his mouth." He has no clue ( or could care less ) about the damage Bain did over the years to people and communities. And he has absolutely no clue ( ignorance is bliss) how the 99% live. We, the American people, do NOT want you as president. Perhaps Bermuda, Cayman Islands or Switzerland is in need of a part time CEO.
Let's talk about the awful 3 1/2 years of obama.
Right like you haven't been whining about Obama every day for the last 3 years. How about you talking about Mittens plans instead after all you are a tea bagged republican in the mix so what does Mittens plan to do, he won't tell anyone outside of the GOP so come on what are Mittens goals.
We all know what they are. He just doesn't want to confirm it.
The Obama campaign is lying!!!!!!!
VOTE NO Obama 2012!!!!!!
Stop watching fox news network and watch the real news for a change.
I am really very curious about how he will handle real questions from real reporters. He's been thrown so many soft balls by fox and their ilk I don't think he'll be able to handle tough questions from honest news agencys. I'm looking forward to watching him squirm.
If you think that'll be good, wait till the debates.
Romney is as crazy as his magic underwear!
With Romney doing interviews other than on the Fix Noise Channel (FOX) - you will now get to see what kind of man he really is which is Phoney. This means he is being exposed for what he really is - The Flim Flam Man - Like I said all along - he says 1 thing and does another. Make no mistake folkes - if he gets in - watch you're health care disappear and the days of Bush will come back. As far as I'm concerned President Obama is the man who will make life better for all of us. Give him a chance - don't let the phoney GOP right wing nitemare fool you into believing otherwise.
