xxx, the real outsourcing was called "Buy back program" I know about that because I worked in a large corporation which did just that. It works like this: A USA corporation makes contract with a company in (for example) ElSalvador, where as Us company would sell goods (Not really) to a contractor in E.S. and gets a large tax break for selling to that country, and in return the same company (with different name) sells same goods that were processed by cheap labor, back to US company! Now US corporation gets another tax break for buying from underdeveloped country! This has been going on for several years, and I know all about it.Just check it out.
I would name the company in question, but I don't have big money to fight their lawyers! Most of that was done through consulting company like bains corporation!

Mac I remember it wasn't that a Bush program? Anyway bad policy. This is one of the things the Congress could be working on. Instead of the F&F! BTW its gotten very quiet about that hasn't it?
Seriously I have been a 'victim' of this sort of thing. During the Reagan years I was fired from a bank job. Since my employer claimed it was my fault I could not apply for unemployment so I applied for jobs right away. I was unemployed for months I finally got a friend to call my last employer and found out that they were telling people I 'never' worked there. Somehow they lost my file.
After proving that I did indeed work for the employer with pay check stubs they wrote me a letter of apology and I had to send copies of that letter to everyone I had applied to. Notice this was done at my expense.
Either way the only job I could get was working for friends until I was able to leave the state.
So much for 'telling a lie on your resume'. You can't even tell the truth.
Romney lied to the American people about remaining in charge of Bain when SEC documents indicate he remained in charge of the company.

No I wouldn't specially when the position will involve decision that will affect the future of the company. If the US is a company and we are the employers in charge of hiring we would be responsible for those whom we entrust the smooth and honest operation of the company. We as Americans have the biggest responsibility. Some of us have defecated on that responsibility by hiring a saboteur dishonest obstructing GOP congress. Should we now do the same when hiring a President? I hope not. I hope this time Americans realize what is at stake and rehire President Obama and hire him a better congress he can work with to move this country forward. This time a congress whose objective will be success and not failure. May God bless all of us as we enter the voting booth and may He help us BE on the side of all our people.

I've been certain this kind of BS has been going on for quite a while. After all, if the tax code is conducive to "buy back programs," and all that's required to legally get away with it is the use of shell companies, there are certainly plenty of business owners with a sufficient lack of ethics to justify such behavior as being for the benefit of the Shareholders.
We hired someone three years ago that lied on their resume.
We will fix that in November.

Pam, I am really concerned about all these lies that Romney tells and re-tells, and that Fox repeats and Rush adds to. This is a constant thing. He lies when the truth would do as well!
I really think something is very wrong with this man. I am getting frightened at the thought of him in the white house. I am wondering if he even KNOWS what it true. What would cause this, and why are the GOP willing to put a man in office who may not be "right", to use a euphemism? I realize Koch and Rove have deep pockets, but if the man's a pathological liar, do even THEY want him running the country?

@ Ethelouise 4.2 : Thank you. If we have a law, then all is needed is to prove that the law has been violated, in order to prosecute. Too many politicians are lying while campaigning, the young Americans are learning bad lessons and it needs to be stopped.

I am in full agreement with you but your more likely to get audited if you qualify for the 'earned income tax credit', than some big millioniare like Flip Robme.
It depends on the position, and the lie/lies told. No matter, I will vote Obama in November, and do what ever I can for an Obama victory.
A Romney win, means the end of America and most likely the rest of the world.
However with the lies Romney and the rest of the teabaggers spin I wouldn't hire to clean out my gutters. With these guys they would be stripped off and sold for scrap.

Its always the person that was 'hurt' the most, the person that has the most pain will remember more accurately than the one issuing the pain. And there are always pink slips and their dates are pretty accurate.
