Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney heard the crowd's disapproval when he criticized 'Obamacare.' NBC's Peter Alexander reports.
What happens when Mitt Romney tells the truth? He gets booed! That’s what happened today at the NAACP convention in Houston.
Tonight, Ed will get at that story with Hilary Shelton, Senior Vice President for Advocacy and Policy and the Director of the Washington Bureau of the NAACP, and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter (D).
You hear it all the time from the right, that taxes are have never been higher under President Obama. Tonight, Ed debunks the Republican Party's biggest lie with Democratic strategist Chris Kofinis.
Mitt Romney isn't the only one with offshore bank accounts. A new report shows some of his top donors ship their money overseas, too. Ed will ask George Zornick, Washington Reporter for The Nation magazine, how much they're costing the federal government.
Will Senate Republicans vote down a tax cut for the middle class?
Ed will check with the Big Panel, including Charles Blow, New York Times Columnist, Ari Melber, Correspondent for The Nation, and radio talk show host Mark Simone.
Colorado’s secretary of state wants to purge the voter rolls, but claims Democrats are the ones trying to rig the election. Really?
And in the Big Finish, House Republicans vote once again to repeal the president's health care law, but what about their plan to replace it? Ed will ask House Democratic Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer.
Only five Democrats voted for the repeal. The Supreme Court upheld the law as constitutional but called the individual mandate -- the requirement everyone get insurance -- a tax. The SCOTUS decision gave political fuel to Republicans who wanted to force Democrats to be on the record supporting a health care tax. NBC's Kelly O'Donnell reports.

robME===== What a Punk /Beyotch !!!!!! heheheheeeeeeeee !! GOMER !!!
Johnny was just suspended for a day by Sally. We don't have to read his nasty posts for a bit. I read you guys a lot and he is so disruptive.
I knew he could do it. I've had him on ignore for months.
He could have said "the ACA", but he didn't. It was a message to Republicans that he wouldn't cater to blacks.
Of course repubs are going to use the courts decision against the dems. What else in new.
Please PlEaSe please PLEASE talk about Planet Kolob and Battlestar Galactica before Noremember (click here).
Bad idea to bring up magic underwear (way funny) (click here).
Just Planet Kolob and Battlestar Galactica.
Maybe nice to include burning man festival if you have time.
rummy just doesn't get it! look at his expression when booed--shock and smiles. he is so pathetically out of touch with us that I pity him. rummy sees no problems hiding his money off shore (that is unAmerican!). his super-rich cohorts (aka donors) show their disdain for us via actions and words. rummy conveniently forgets that his plan in Mass was the outline for the ACA. I cannot believe a word that oozes from between his lips as he changes position with every speech--it is a wonder he donesn't have whiplash from position changes.
It's kind of like watching a tennis match, huh Kathy?
His whole campaign has been like an outing for him into the real world. He's constantly shocked and amazed by what goes on here.
Romney is out of touch with everyone so get the vote out and vote Democratic. Republicans are not for anyone except themselves and their agenda, whatever the hell that it, no one seems to know. All these Republicans are unbelievable and certainly not interested in the country or the survival of the people of this country. H
Way i see it Romney has a big Pr problem. He can not connect with anyone outside his country club. He has problem with the poor, the middle class, Latinos, Jews, Blacks, Unions all those he fired and made billions off of. He has big problem with full disclosure. He is one wolf we do not want to see any where near the chicken house. Hes crafty and will lie to get where he wants and walk over anyone in his way! Boo Romney! Boo Romney!
I live in Texas so my Dem vote doesn't count. They fixed the elections years ago when they threw out the paper ballot system. Electronic voting could work if they had a parallel paper ballot count to re assure us the machines are not rigged. For instance if a reciept was printed out upon completion of voting and put in a ballotbox. You could avoid extensive recounts.
William Scanlon - You mean to say that all Dem vote don't count in Texas? I dont think this is the case. I would suggest you check this out.
Betty, Obviously I'm not William but I believe he's not far off point. I heard from a very reliable source (a die hard republican who is close to a number of local politicians in TX) that a lot of republican politicians will change their party before elections and once voted in, change back to their original party. I also heard the same thing on TV once but can't find it anywhere or I would post it. If they can get away with that, there's no doubt in my mind why William feels his vote doesn't count.
Don't give up William. God willing, one day you will be heard.
William I live in Texas too and I have never voted Republican. So even in a losing cause I never give up the fight and the right to vote. What I would like to see is a vote for term limits on the governorship. As stupid as Rick Perry is I would love to see the end of him and his sorry ways of governoring this state. Houston mayor has term limits so why not the governor? So all in all your vote is not wasted.
As mentioned, Mitt just can't seem to relate to the "real American people" and it was especially noticable during his NAACP speech when a part of the audience boo'd him as he audaciously proclaimed himself as the guy that the African-American people could count on...he flinched a little, but then, he kept right on talking, which, in so many words, was ignorning the reaction alltogether. (I guess he simply had his pre-rehearsed speech to finish and he had a schedule to keep.) He should have stopped and let some people question him, but he hasn't got the nerve to do that sort of thing, let alone the knowledge to be able to actually allow "real American people" ask him any questions that haven't already been prescreened by his staff. That's why I'm so looking forward to the debates. Sorry...I DO wanna see him squirm a little...in front of the "real American people".
What Romney said at the Naacp about eliminating Obamacare once he ws elected was to prove to his base that he was not afraid to face us blacks folks to let us know this is what he plans to do. Its really sad that the rightwingGop picked a man that they don't really like. He will be like a puppet. And those fools who vote for him will be sorry. Romney don't care about you either.
Ah yes…Paul “GOP” Winchell and Knucklehead “Mitt” Smith!
That is the reason and only single reason that I will never vote republican cause they're heartless coldblooded middle and low class assassins
Oh and Ed? As to Mark Simon 'exposing the big lie' that the tax cuts went ONLY to the rich...that wasn't the BIG LIE. It was that the majority of the tax cuts went to the RICH and that ain't no lie.
As far as some of Romney’s contributors having money overseas, Romney has proposed an International Territorial Corporate Tax System, for tax reform, where his administration would not tax people on their money overseas brought back to America.
Would not you suppose that people with that amount of money would have already invested what percentage of their money that they want to, whether their money is kept in America or not? What good is that amount of money going to do for the American economy if banks are not lending and businesses are not buying?
Our economy needs wages, businesses and consumerism all increased, at the same time, in order for it to grow, and in order for financial institutions to take the investment risks to support the economy.
I can only see the Democratic Party leaders as capable of making all sizes of business grow without hurting businesses, sustaining peoples (consumers) income levels without making them do without their needs, and creating regulation to create better wages without hurting business owner’s future interests.
Businesses, who sustain a certain amount of profit for four consecutive quarters, should be required to share a small percentage with their employee’s wages or benefits. We must increase wages to build our economy and we know only a Democratic Administration and Congress would support it. We need to start talking policy, and leave the old political arguments, holding us back, behind.
see the thing is willard will do anything to win the election and we as a nation can not let that happen its a shame that some people will be very stupid on voting for a dumb idot like mittins and his wifey on the side awww i forgot the black community dont like a person that will repeal a law that will help millions of people but wont stand up for his party and say really GOP shut up you know but hey im young 24 year old from nebraska and we need to gt the vote out and vote for obama and dont sit at home watching football game your voice needs to be heard across this great nation we call united states of america
A FAKE and a PHONY. Thank you Mayor Nutter for that accurate description. Thank goodness I recorded the Ed Show. Now I can play Mayor Nutter's comments over and over and over. Yes we have traveled back to Civil War days. Mitt Romney's own group of Black people and I thought this is the 21st century. It may well be the 21 century but we still have the House Black person versus the other African Americans only back then Blacks were not called African Americans or Black Americans. African Americans have evolved from "you people" to Mitt Romney's "them" and the best part he said he was glad the Mormon church had evolved. Yes they evolved alright into the 21 century version of Brigham Young's version of African Americans. We are now "them" and Mitt Romney did not waste any time talking about "them" to Fox. What I would like to know is what do Mitt Romney call his special group of "them" or is it "my Blacks" are better than the Blacks at the NAACP convention?
