You are showing how uninformed you are in your comments. A legal United States citizen with an offshore bank account is still legally required to claim the interest accrued on that account on their tax return. You don't see anyone charging Romney with tax evasion, do you? If he was doing something illegal you can feel confident it would be on the front page of every newspaper in the country. It works far better to use it as class warfare since the media will not challenge the accusation and the ignorance of the people concerning the facts can be depended on to sway people's opinions. There are many reasons a person of wealth will have offshore bank accounts. One of them is security from unstable banks in their own country. One of the hardest things a person of wealth has to deal with is maintain his wealth. Most offshore banks are far more stable than the banks in this country and maintaining these accounts can be likened to an insurance policy for these people. It's not illegal or unethical either. With Romney being in the spotlight and class warfare the order of the day he gets to take the heat. If you became aware of all the people in this country that have offshore bank accounts you would be surprised, but you will not gain that knowledge, so during the meantime, it is just another way to promote class warfare, which so many are unable to acknowledge, unfortunately to their own demise.

If the President was even remotley serious about deficit reduction, and not only worried about his reelection, he would let all the tax cuts expire. He would also let the payroll tax holiday end so that the Social Security trust funds are not being gouged further by this really stupid move. He should then start taking a genuine look at the recommendations of HIS debt reduction committee and implement the spending cuts they propopsed . If he did those two things I would seriously consider voting for him. If he doesn't that indicates quite starkly that he has no intention of ever addressing the $5-6 trillion in new debt his administration has created and would continue on the spending spree that has marked his first 4 years.
And no libs, just ending the Bush tax cuts for those making over $250K will not fix this mess in the least. CBO and other tax orgs has estimated it will only reduce the crippling debt by approx. $40 billion over 10 years. That's $4billion a year folks. Which amounts to diddly squat when you have 16 trillion, YES thats $16 trillion in accumulated debt, and an average of $1.3 trillion in new debt being added each year under this President. So yes President Obama you would have my vote if you would give any indication that you are serious about debt and deficit reduction. To date that has not been the case.

You have no idea how much waste, fraud and abuse there is in the multitude of Government spending programs that existed before Obama and have been added since he took office. And I'm not talking about the needed safety net entitlement programs like SS, Food Stamps, SSI, child welfare and the like. The bi=partisan Simpson/Bolls commission made sound recommendations on cutting unnecessary spending and tax reform and no one listened to them, the President or the Congress. So each are equally to blame.
But in your fantasy world $16 trillion debt and trillion dollar deficts are just a figment of everyones imagination that will magically just go away and won't have any detrimmental effect on the US economy now or in the future. Keep hoping and dreaming.

The reason righties don't want to talk about this subject of fraud to the tune of trillions of dollars waaaaay before Simpson/Bolls even is because it has had a far greater impact on our financial solvency than ANY legitimate spending programs.
