There was a Guy on the local news tonight that stated that he just came back from tennessee and the price per gallon there Is $2.70 !!!
here's one on the bright side MD/MI.
the part on BBQ's and conservative relatives. I like the fireworks with em at the BBQ's. they do all the cookin and stuff my mouth full of food to keep me from laughing and saying pass the Roberts please.......
Cheap gas? I thought that's what you get whenever a Republican opens his mouth.
Stations in Marquette County located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula have the highest prices in the entire state. It's even cheaper farther up north going towards Houghton/Hancock, MI than Marquette County. In some southern states it's $1.00 per gallon cheaper than the U.P. Local station owners are angry a U.P. native american tribe will be building a station near Marquette and will sell gas for $.20-$.30 less. If Big Oil and speculators weren't so greedy we would all have cheap gas.
What about Barclay's banking scandal? Oooh or the JP Morgan Chase loss exceeding the 2 billion estimate and could be as high as 9 billion. Banking shenanigans only 3.5 years after a huge downturn caused in many ways by foolish and neglignet banking practices and the GOP still believes we don't need no stinkin' regulations
I wonder just what kind of record Mr Joe Walsh has When Tammy Duckworth is much more then a True Hero. She is by far the one that should be in the place you hold. Tammy Duckworth is a Hero that will not quit because it hard or unthinkable and the people are not stupit they will show in the ballot boxes.
Good night God bless these united states of America.

In London trade, Brent North Sea crude for delivery in August settled at $100.68 a barrel, jumping $3.34 from Monday's closing level.
As far as global warming goes, we are now in the future the scientists warned us we'd better do something about.
We didn't. Welcome to your warmed up world.
Wonder what it's going to be like for our young children? The Republican who's in charge of climate change policy doesn't believe in it.
Bloody great. What do the Republicans believe in besides NO TAXES?
It's gonna be a hot time in the old town tonight!
What does that Del woman mean Americans can’t talk bad about Justices on the Supreme Court? After Citizens United the Conservative wackos on the court should be hung from Lady Justice.
Believe me I’d like NOTHING better than to NEVER have to talk about the Bush/Cheney years AGAIN! But these criminal corporatists did SO MUCH damage to both the economy and Constitution, the terrible RESULTS of their pandering and incompetence keeps popping up in ALL segments of our society.
On 1-21-10 Supreme Court proved George W. Bush appointees Justice Samuel Alito and Chief Justice John Roberts (among the other 3 Conservatives) are there to do the bidding of multi-national Corporations and wealthy individuals.
The last time the 3rd Branch of our government sunk this low was on April 10, 1950. The Supreme Court gave in to hysteria and washed it’s hands of the Constitution leaving rights and justice to H.U.A.C. (House Un-American Activities Committee) That time is best remembered as the McCarthy Era…
The Supreme Court ruling has the potential to do MUCH MORE damage to the USA than ANYTHING we’ve faced before. The Court has opened the doors for a wave of Corporate and foreign interests to INFLUENCE our election process and government officials. AND YES I WILL SAY IT… to buy politicians for about the same price as a long term relationship with a high class prostitute.
I don’t understand is how the Court overreached it’s authority in this one particular case. Wiped out a 100 years of precedent and any chance McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill had to restrain influence of wealth on our elections. Justice John Roberts WILL never admit to it but this is LEGISLATING FROM THE BENCH!
Really, the case before the court was supposed to be Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. In 2008 Citizens United (a Conservative Labyrinth front group) wanted to spend HUGE amounts of money to promote a feature length movie making outrageous criticisms about then presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
But somehow Citizens United attorney Ted Olson (Bush/Cheney) started arguing that “Corporations are People”. He made a case that Multi-national Corporate entities have the same rights to Free Speech as any American Citizen. (with Limited Liability of course, lol) Conservatives (as usual) kicked civility and truth to the curb. The biggest losers are the VOTERS who will have to endure unlimited campaign ads with expensive/elaborate productions either tearing down or building up the candidate of Corporate America’s choice.
I think President Obama best described this Supreme Court decision:
“…this decision is a VICTORY for big Oil, Wall Street and foreign interests. The ruling gives special interests and their lobbyists even MORE power in Washington, DC. This while undermining the influence of average Americans who make small contributions…”
Ralph Nader among others on the LEFT came out as soon as the bad news hit the wires and called for a Constitutional Amendment to negate this un-American ruling. I am somebody who demands accountability spoact.blogspot.com
Just read about Dem, Rep. Becky Carney N. Car. She pushed the wrong button on a vote to allow fracking in the state, overriding the Dem Governor's veto. They wouldn't let her have a do-over so now they get to frack to their hearts content! She has always voted against it and feels terrible but it's too late. They have a Chamber rule down there that if it changes the outcome you can't do it over. Well, duh!! If she had pushed the button she wanted, the outcome would have stopped the fracking! I bet the Reps are overjoyed.
Dear Ed,
Happy Independence Day!
When gas prices rose at the pump last spring, apoplectic GOP spokespersons blamed President Obama. Now that they've fallen, the same spokespersons have failed to give him credit. You and your guests have pointed this hypocrisy out nicely for the last several evenings.
Because President Obama understands much more about the world than the provincial GOP pennant-waggers, he knew, of course, that prices at the pump are not tied to a particular administration but to global markets and speculators.
So let us take him entirely out of the equation for a moment so that we can focus on the either-or fallacy at work in the GOP assaults:
The GOP either (1) does not understand global economic cause-effect relations or (2) DOES understand and would deliberately misrepresent them for political gain.
The question: Do we want someone determining our economic policy who (1) does not understand simple market cause-effect relations or (2) would deliberately LIE about them for political gain?
Should we perhaps be a little saddened on this Independence Day that the logic of our freedom has been commandeered by some who are not much CONCERNED about whether they make sense anymore?
President Obama is my first political idol since JFK (I go back that far): a brilliant, calm, frighteningly articulate man who understands the new world, and thinks always before he acts. And he did everything that American required of him for success: got an education, performed selfless community service, and answered his calling to politics. And for this he is pilloried by people who are...what? afraid?
PC
You mean the same way that the Democrats did the same thing when prices rose during the Bush Administration?
just saying...
