Ingredients:
48 oz of Cherry Cola (flat)
2 cups of cherry jam
2/3 cup mustard with horseradish
3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 Tablespoon hot pepper sauce
7- 8 lbs of pork spareribs
Directions:
Boil cherry cola in sauce pan until reduced to 1 1/2 cups.
Puree cherry jam in blender and add mustard, soy sauce, vinegar and pepper sauce.
Puree until smooth and add to the cherry cola.
Simmer over medium heat until mixture is reduced to about 2 1/2 cups.
Transfer to bowl and cover and chill until ribs are ready.
Position racks in top and bottom thirds of oven and preheat to 325.
Sprinkle each rib rack with salt and pepper. Wrap each rack individually tightly in foil and position on large rimmed baking sheets.
Bake until ribs are very tender but not falling apart. Switch baking sheet pans half way through baking. About 2 hours total baking time.
Cut ribs between every 2-3 bones. Brush glaze over ribs and gill over medium low heat.
Grill until ribs are brown and glazed turning to prevent burning.
Grill for about 5 minutes total.

Whoa...., I wrote that down. I've been using Sweet Baby Rays but Ed's sounds delicious. I'm heading to the super market tomorrow.
What soy sauce? There is no soy sauce listed in the ingredients, yet referenced in the directions.
I noticed that, too. Hot sauce, I think he meant.
Hi there! See Post #20 below--this is too good a recipe to accidentally leave anything out!
Years ago on the radio show, I always hoped that I would get one of Big Eddy"s 40 oz steaks . No such luck, but I think I'll give this a try.
Big Ed rocks!
OMG! This recipe sounds so good. Ed should do a recipe once a week...like on Thursday's to give me time to get the ingredients for the weekend...very cool. Especially love the talking points for conservative relatives, however if we had conservatives they would be shouted down and run outta town in this family!!!
what i can't get is how any person could vote republican how stupid are you?
Oh my god I will have to try these tomorrow. No insurance debate because their all afraid to argue insurance with me.
How much soy sauce?
No soy sauce, I think a misprint. He meant the hot sauce. I don't think soy sauce would work with this and I cook a lot.

OMG! This recipe sounds so good! Ed should feature a recipe every Thursday's to give me time to get the ingredients for the weekend. If there were any conservatives in this family, they would be shouted down and run outta town...but thanks for the talking points!!
Somebody needs to tell Karen Finney that people don't get diabetes from what they eat. Enjoy your ribs, Ed.
Happy 4th everyone!
Soy sauce is not listed in the ingredients, but is referenced in the directions. How much soy sauce is used?
Hi there! See Post #20 below--this is too good a recipe to accidentally leave anything out!
This recpie sounds so good, gotta try it! Thanks! : ) I enjoy watching The Ed show, he has such a Big Personality "Too funny" Especially when comparing the facts against fictions. I Love it!! Keep up the good work!! : )
How much soy sauce? I can't prepare the recipe w/o the measurement!
Hi there! See Post #20 below--this is too good a recipe to accidentally leave anything out!
Sounds delicious! How much soy sauce?
3 tablespoons soy sauce
SOY SAUCE INFO:
Ed's scrumptious-sounding recipe has the same contents as another that's found online (EpicuriousDotCom). The ingredients listing's mysteriously-missing-soy-sauce should be in the amount of 3 Tablespoons; the vinegar which follows should be adjusted to *2* Tablespoons instead of 3. The confusion seems to be simply a minor typo which combined partial information from 2 different components. CherryColaCheers to You--and a Very Happy 4th!
PS--If you set aside about a cup of the glaze prior to basting, there'll be some for your post-grilling dipping pleasure!
YUM! Are you sure you're not the Barefoot Contessa?!
Haha--Nope! But thanks for what I regard as a compliment!
Sorry ED but people who live in New York wont be able to make your recipe that cant buy more then 16oz of soda
And aren't you insulting Muslims for using pork ribs you are not being to politically correct
also does Mechelle Obama approve of this recipe it seams pretty high on fat and sugar
I don't live in New York. I'm not a Muslim. Michelle Obama seems like a very nice lady. I'm sure she wouldn't begrudge me a once-in-a-year indulgence.
Anyone? Anyone??
I'm brand new at this...could someone please tell me what is signified by the click-on upward arrow and exclamation point beside the "REPLY" icon following each comment?
Anyone? Anyone?? (Bueller?...Bueller...?!?)
Thanks!
The click on arrow means you like what you read. The exclamation point is to report a person for being of no value, inflammatory, advertising and if you want to ignore this persons posts. Click on them and see for yourself... They won't bite you I promise...
Got it! How nice of you to reply, and with such a clear, complete explanation...Thanks So Much!
Barefoot, If a troll is bothering you, click on the exclamation point and at the bottom of the pop-up, you'll see IGNORE. If you click on that, the troll will collapse on your pages.
I have most on ignore. I get too angry with them.
India--Wow! I've never even seen a troll, much less seen one *collapse*(!)...but the mental imagery you provided could definitely help dissipate any anger that might be aroused.
In the future, I'll look forward to your supplying of elaborate, hi-tech visual aids--for the present, though, we'll all just have to use our vivid imaginations, huh? (I'm guessing that 3 billy goats may be involved?!?)
Thank you for furthering my comment-education---and life-merriment!
how much soy sauce?
See Post #20--Enjoy!
