This "TAX" hoopla is a pile of dung! The republicans and their banks all over this country, including all credit cards and credit unions all love to tax- They just call them FEES!
A late fee here, overdraft fee there, fees everywhere a FEE! It applies to everyone - so when I hear republicans and their 'hate taxes' mantra, I want to smack them upside the head with their own hypocrisy!
Obama/Biden 2012
No DemE, credit unions try to keep their fees as low and as few as possible. The members of the CU are all part owners. I've been with mine for a long time and would never go back to a bank.
What an absurd analogy. You do not have to do business with any bank, credit card company, or any other PRIVATE company - if you don't like what they charge then don't do business with them, plain and simple. I guess in your mind every time money is exchanged it is tax. So when I bought lunch today I paid a lunch tax to the restaurant?
The difference with the Obama Healthcare Tax Increase Plan is we are forced into it because it is run by the GOVERNMENT. No new taxes on the middle class...haha.
Hi MJB, I am also a member of a credit union, but they do have their fees! I don't pay for checking but I have to keep a savings account. My point was that the majority of banks are run by republicans and they figure out a way to jab you at every step, they don't mind yanking money from you whatsoever. And their excuse is - it's a fee! I call it a tax!
How absurd of you Loose.............No one can not have a checking account in this nation and live! You have to have a checking account to get a credit card! You have to have credit cards to have credit ratings ....to buy cars, houses.......
What a pile of horse-minew! No you are not forced into it! If you have insurance, keep it! You will be required to buy health insurance whether through your employer or on your own, just like you have to buy car insurance.
I have to sign by car tag receipt with the name of my insurer! Mandated insurance for cars! Why? Because it drives the cost up with Uninsured drivers, just like Uninsured people w/o health insurance!
Obama/Biden 2012
First, you can get by without a checking account or credit cards, most people just choose not to. And last time I checked there are many places you can put your money or take out a credit card - shop around, get the best price. You complain about bank fees like overdraft and late fees - here is an idea make your payments on time and don't take out more money than you have. You act like it is the bank's fault people are irresponsible.
Also, the government can't force you to drive, therefore they can't force you to buy car insurance or have a driver's license. If you have a problem with car insurance don't drive. Why should someone who doesn't want health insurance be forced to pay for it?
The Loose Cannon~~If you are smart enough, and have the will to distinguish truth from lies, you would understand, it doesn't matter if you call it a tax, fee, or penalty, it is a mandated cost for a purchase, service, or failure to make a payment etc: The ACA requires a person who does not have health insurance, to take personal responsibility (no free loading) and purchase their own health insurance, or choose the option of paying a fee, tax, or penalty, depends what you want to call it. That, fee, tax, or penalty, only applies to those who, REFUSE to have health insurance and expect others to pay for their health care. For 30 years those of us who have health insurance, have been mandated, (through increased premium cost and increased hospital and ER cost) to help pay for the healthcare cost of the un-insured (free loaders). There has never been a debate, as to call that increased cost, a tax, fee, or penalty. Nor were we given the option to pay or not to pay. BTW, that legislation was written and passed in the Regan administration.
Wow...once again the left is blaming a business for the actions of its customers. You have a payment due on the 15th and you don't pay it until the 20th and its the bank's fault? You only have $300 in the bank, but you write a check for $400 and its the bank's fault?
Obamacare taxes people, and in essence finds them guilty before they have even done anything wrong, for choosing not to participate in a program. What a crock of horse manure. The government has no proof that any particular person will not pay their bill if they need healthcare...they are just guessing that they won't.
Why does the left refuse to accept the premise of personal responsibility?
just saying...
I knew they'd start with the tax business. That is the latest GOP lying talking point. If you can't call it unconstitutional, make out like it's a tax on the average person.
The fact that it does not raise people's taxes does not matter one bit. They'll repeat it over and over until some people begin to believe it. They are shameless and without the slightest amount of scruples.
Lying is big business for them and their owners pay them well to do it.
The Supreme Court RULED it a TAX
LMAO
The high court’s ruling leaves in place 21 tax increases in the health care law costing more than $675 billion over the next 10 years, according to the House Ways and Means Committee. Of those, 12 tax hikes would affect families earning less than $250,000 per year, the panel said, including a “Cadillac tax” on high-cost insurance plans, a tax on insurance providers and an excise tax on medical-device manufacturers.
“This is a clear violation of the president’s pledge to avoid tax hikes on low- and middle-income taxpayers,” said a statement from the panel, which is chaired by Rep. Dave Camp, Michigan Republican.
On the campaign trail four years ago and since taking office, Mr. Obama has been fond of saying that middle-class families will not see their taxes rise “a single dime” under his leadership.

juststatingitasitis#2.1~~You have the option to call it what you want! You also have the option to pay or not to pay it! If can choose to pay the tax, fee, penalty, or you can choose to purchase your own health insurance. If you already have health insurance, you do NOT need to pay a tax, fee, or penalty, nor will you continue to be mandated to the increased cost of your premium, hospital and ER cost, to help pay for the health care of those who are un-insured.
#2.2~~Please list the 21 tax increases in the health care law.
Please list the 12 tax hikes, that would affect families earning less than $250,000.00 per year.
Then there is reality which says the second doctor has to go to the insurance company to ask if it is ok for the doctor to treat the patient in the way the doctor decides is best for the patient, then there is the waiting period for the insurance company to decide if the insured needs treatment or be sent home with an aspirin. The same with any medicines one is prescribed. Here we have the typical tea bagged republican chain email meant to tug on readers emotions and is rather fact free on real information but gosh darn it don't it just burn you dogs get treated better then people.
Great show last night Ed. Your comments at the end were very touching.
Insurancemanwithnoalternative............That is a spun-up lie for the worst order!
Your scare tactic doesn't work because we know that the ony ones who are afraid are CEO's and their profit margin. They have to spend the majority of money directly on the patient - instead of lavish, vulgar payloads.

DE also notice he leaves out the FACT that to be treated Dogs don't have to have health insurance whereas people who don't have insurance end up in emergency rooms or go untreated until they hit a crisis stage.
Plus, seniors are not on "Obamacare" Like I have said before, "everything that rolls off the lips of a republican, is a lie"
If they like it so much, why not let Republicans get treated at a vet? They're all dogs anyway.
Lighten up folks ,It was just a dog joke. If anyone has a dog joke about repubs. Post it up and give me a laugh.
