House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) calls the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold President Obama’s signature health care law "victory" for the American people, but tells MSNBC host Ed Schultz she's "confused by Mitt Romney's reaction.
"I will act to repeal Obamacare," Romney declared, adding that though the court had declared the law constitutional, "what they did not do is say that Obamacare is good law or that it's good policy."
Pelosi sat down with Schultz today in Washington to discuss the decision and Romney's reaction to it (the full interview will be seen tonight on The Ed Show at 8pET on MSNBC).

“I was confused because it was as if he (Romney) was for it before he was against it and now he’s both," Pelosi told Ed. "He supports the decision of the court, to overturn the entire bill and yet he said but if they do that, you still cannot be discriminated against on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions. How does that happen? Is he going to pay for it? Maybe he’s volunteering. The fact is you cannot have it both ways.”

If memory serves me correct, the bill was not available to be read until the day before it was voted on which was Christmas eve. A bill of this depth should have been available for all to read for at least a month, considering the impact it has on the general population. It was pushed through, without debate, on Christmas eve. Another broken promise by obama. He said his administration would be nothing but transparent. More lies.

The United States Supreme Court just rule in favor of the Healthcare bill passed by the Democrats! That is a relief to Millions of Americans with Pre Existing conditions....our children under the age of 26 and now people do not have to sell their homes because they reached their insurance caps "NO MORE CAPS". The decision today by the Supreme Court was the correct decision for the country. We have massive problems with our health care system. We face 50 million uninsured Americans, rising double digit costs, 45,000 uninsured deaths annually and one million bankruptcies due to expensive medical bills all point to the crying need for reforms. Anyone who is against the Affordable Health Care act really has not studied this issue. We are the only industrialized country that does not have universal health care.
We need to invest in our human capital so we can compete in the 21st century global economy. Healthy recruits entering the military is also a national security issue. Britain passed the National Health Service in 1948 because too many recruits in WW II were rejected for military service because of a lack of health care. This meant than children from affluent families with health care suffered more of the burdens of military service than those who were rejected for military service. National security and universal health care system are seldom linked by pundits but historians know better. Much of this was probably going through Chief Justice Robert's mind because he knows about the NHS in Britain because lawyers study British history, government, and law very closely.

Two (2) years ago President Obama Healthcare Law got passed without a single Republican voting on the HealthCare Law. This PROVES to me that GOD hand was in this.
Today the Supreme Court was tied 4 to 4 on ruling or making a decision on President Obama HealthCare Law and Chief Justice John Roberts was the one who had to break the tie, and guess what he is a George Bush appointee. I see GOD hand in this, GOD used a Republican not a Democrat to pass President Obama HealthCare Reform Law.
I understand that if this HealthCareLaw does not get changed by others who disapproved of this HealthCare Law within the next 4 years that President Obama HealthCare Law will go into effect and NO ONE can change it after that time.

Ms Pelosi is confused? It seems she can't understand how anyone can disagree with her or her partisan pals. I am sure there are a lot of people confused on the other side too, which is a sad commentary and the reason little of real consequence happens in Washington. The truth is the sun will continue to rise and set no matter what our leaders cook up and for the most part our leaders and the pundits who have nothing to do but stir the pot can't find their ass with both hands.
