Democrat Ryan Combe is running for Congress and has this to say about voting blue in a notoriously red state: “As Utah Democrats, there is a unique experience that many of us go through. There are times that being a Democrat is looked at as being a member of a secret society. However, I firmly believe that if more Utahns looked at the Democratic platform with an open mind they would find that many of their values are found within. Welcome, to the Democratic Party!”

Oh, come on. 2009-2010. Never once speaking out against the Tea Party. Never once saying anything about what was in the healthcare act. Never once saying that there weren't any death panels in it, letting the Republicans say there were, and never once saying anything about the death panels on the insurance companies. Abandoning single-payer and the public option. Letting the screaming and yelling at the town halls go on and on. Never standing up to Republican propaganda. Waiting for a year and a half for Olympia Snow to become a Democrat. Ben Nelson and Mary Landreau voting with the Republicans again and again. Max Baucus siding with the Republicans again and again. Not ending the filibuster rule when they had the votes to do it. Just a general inability to accomplish anything that they said they were going to do.

I know, I was thinking what's the matter with these guys? Then FINALLY they started fighting back, albeit a little late. But, I still never wanted to abandon them. My best friend used to be a Dem until her Grandpa, on his deathbed made her promise to vote Rep. I've at least gotten her to register as an independent now. She doesn't even pay attention to politics until it's almost time to vote. That is a bad way to make your decisions.
Well, you see my point. I'm still voting Democrat, I just can't be a member anymore. I'm afraid we'll win the White House, the Congress and the Senate, and it'll be the same thing all over again.

Funny thing a lot of these Democrat kids have 1% parents or Republicans as the Liberals like to think of them. The parents grew up poor, worked hard all their lives and left the little spoiled Liberal child a fortune. I always thought it would be a great thing for these little spoiled liberals that were left a fortune from their hard working conservative parents to donate that fortune to the government and then they could disperse it to the 99%. But as it turns out the Democrats are a lot more stingy with their money than the Republicans, so I'm sure that would not happen.

What is being asked by the middle class and the poor - give us the money from the trickle down that Republicans as yourself keep promising. People work hard believing the better their employer does the better they do, however over the last 12 plus years that has not happened. Yes hard to believe, but without the middle class working hard for companies, corporations etc - you, your shareholders, investors do not get richer. Perhaps if middle class and the working poor income rose at even half the rate of the 1% there would be much fewer people on welfare, food stamps and low income housing assistance. In addition, people would have money to spend and grow the economy. There are 46.2 million people living in poverty. When you do research you find Republicans are not in favor of Federal Minimum wage and if the Republicans win the White House they will do away with minimum wage, than look at the poverty level rise.

Interesting Ad, a College student that believes Democrats are more caring, I wonder where he got that from? Could it have been the College Indoctrination? It is not difficult to understand why a person that has nothing, has earned nothing, and has lived his entire life dependent on others would become a Democrat. Is that not what a Democrat is, some one living off some one else? The kid fits the mold. I would like to see the follow up ad, you know the one that shows the kid moving back into his parents home after he graduates from college because he can't fine a job (thanks Obama). The one where the kid is complaining to his Dad because he cancelled cable TV service in order to pay increased health care costs (thanks Obama). The one where Dad has to sell the car because he can't afford gas (thanks Obama).
