We thought Arizona's top election official had moved on from his embarrassing flirtation with birtherism last month. But it turns out, he's still drinking that Kool-Aid.
Secretary of State Ken Bennett got some national attention in May after threatening to keep President Barack Obama off the ballot in November unless he saw more proof that the president was born in Hawaii.
Hawaiian officials have repeatedly confirmed that Obama was born in their state, but some extremists continue to claim that the president was born in Kenya, his father's homeland. So Bennett demanded Hawaii confirm Obama's birth personally to him. When they did, he apologized.
But the No. 2 elected official in Arizona (and co-chair of the Romney campaign in Arizona) now believes the president fraudulently claimed to be born in Kenya so he could get into college. He also believes the president has spent millions of dollars to cover it up.
Bennett revealed his bizarre theory at a Republican Party meeting on Thursday (June 14).
"Now, I know there’s a lot of people that are very skeptical as to whether the president was born in Hawaii," Bennett said. "Personally, I believe that he was. I actually think he was fibbing about being born in Kenya when he was trying to get into college and doing things like writing a book and on and on and on."
Bennett mentioned that he "thinks" President Obama sent $1.5 to $2 million to have his college records and “all that stuff” sealed, but doesn't cite a source for those numbers or present any evidence to support his theory.
"So if you’re spending money to seal something, that’s probably where the hanky panky was going on," he continued.
Bennett is reportedly exploring a possible run for governor in 2014 when Jan "finger-wagging" Brewer’s term ends. But first, he may have to issue a second apology to his state in as many months.

its called geographical distribution, its commonplace in the ivy league where they have so many more qualified applicants than openings so someone from arizona is more likely to get into princeton than someone from new jersey if all else is equal..
If any one is in contempt, it is Issa and the 'mean and hateful' Republicans. I was a Republican, but, I had to leave because of the hate for blacks and hispanics. It was hard enough for the Black Republicans to constantly defend themselves in their communities beacuse they were Black Republicans, but, the treatment was the same from the White Republicans. If they were not calling us the N word or coons, they did everything in their power to exclude us in anything. It had gotten so bad until a private hearing was called to cool off the possible embarrassment that would have happened in the city. Very little to nothing was done. In fact, one of the Republicans stated at a meeting and I quote, "Why are all these Ns in the Republican Party. We don't need them." Rep. Issa is a disgrace to this country and the Republicans should be ashame of themselves for allowing this witch hunt to continue. I pray to God that in this up coming election, these evil people will be put out of office. May God have mercy on them for they know exactly what they are doing.

If the moderate GOPs (if there are still any) don't squash this crap, this will continue to be their legacy for years to come. It appears to becoming McCarthyism on steroids. Let's not forget that the Gov. of Florida will be allowing guns at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. I would love to be a fly on the wall for this event. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail but I'm not sure at this point if it is even possible since the Tea Party is doing everything it can to stir up this radical unstable base which will do or say anything. The Koch brothers and it supporters must be tickle pink that this country is becoming the wild, wild west.

I have yet to see PROOF that Mutt Robme was born on this planet-- or in this country. And I remember when some dodo said that Obama's birth certificate didn't have his footprints on it. Well, mine doesn't either. And I was born in a military hospital-- and not in Mexico. Or not in Panama.

I doubt President Obama's mother gave birth to him in Kenya...most women want their mother's by their side and I'm sure she had her mother by her side in Hawaii. Get over it republican losers.
