Top Talkers: The Morning Joe panel – including Mike Barnicle, New York Magazine's John Heilemann, Time's Mark Halperin and author Catherine Crier – discusses the latest from the G20 Summit in Mexico, the president's announcement on illegal immigration and Sen. Marco Rubio's response to Obama's announcement.
President Obama will speak to reporters tonight from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at the conclusion of the G-20 Summit.
The president is expected to be asked about his new immigration policy and the unrest in Syria and Egypt. The news conference will begin at around 8pET (watch it live on MSNBC or here on The Ed Show blog!).
Ed will report from Los Angeles with reaction and analysis from Eugene Robinson, MSNBC Analyst and Associate Editor and Pulitzer Prize winning Columnist for the Washington Post, and Democratic strategist Bob Shrum.
President Obama's new immigration policy is a big winner with Americans, but Mitt Romney still can't give a straight answer about whether he would keep it or get rid of it. Jose Antonio Vargas, TIME Magazine Contributor, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and founder of Define American, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the conversation around immigration in the U. S., joins Ed for that.
Romney keeps telling us he's got a plan, but he keeps refusing to give us answers on some of the most critical issues facing this country. Is Romney another Tom Dewey?
Ed will ask Bob Shrum.
Thousands gather at the Michigan Capitol to protest the war on women. Did the silencing of two female lawmakers backfire on Republicans? Ed will ask tonight’s panel, including Ari Melber, Correspondent for The Nation, Joy Reid, Managing Editor of TheGrio.com, MSNBC Contributor, and Meghan McCain, MSNBC Contributor and Daily Beast Columnist and co-author (“America, You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom”).
Congress is about to spend nearly a trillion dollars and nobody is talking about it. Ed will tonight.
And in the Big Finish, a group of Catholic nuns is trailing Romney’s bus tour to protest the GOP war on the poor. Ed will ask the organizer of the protest, Sister Simone Campbell, Executive Director of Network- A National Catholic Social Justice Lobby, what she thinks of the Ryan budget plan.
It's going to be yet another packed @EdShow at 8pET on @msnbctv.

- goodnight, I'm on conference call.
Well, miss you.
HOLLAND, Mich.—Mitt Romney said Tuesday his campaign is vetting Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as a potential vice presidential candidate, contradicting several reports suggesting otherwise.
Romney told reporters Rubio is being "thoroughly vetted" for the VP job and described stories reporting contrary news as "false."
"There was a story that originated today apparently at ABC based upon reports of supposedly outside unnamed advisers of mine," Romney said. "I can't imagine who such people are. But I can tell you this: they know nothing about the vice presidential selection or evaluation process. There are only two people in this country who know who are being vetted and who are not: And that's Beth Myers and myself. And I know Beth well. She doesn't talk to anybody. The story was entirely false. Marco Rubio is being thoroughly vetted as part of our process."
His comments came during a previously unscheduled stop just before the final rally of his bus tour along the shores of Lake Michigan here. His campaign had gathered a small pool of reporters to whom Romney made the statement.
Rubio has similar problems as Sarah Palin. They won't go there. I'm thinking Portman, but could be Pawlenty as well.
You never know when someone other than the normal people that are on this vine may come here and they may get confused about the actual facts. So it is worth putting some of them one here once again.
So from 2007 to the end of 2010 the Democrats with the Independents that voted Democrat 90% of the time had the House and the Senate, then they got the White House. And then for nearly 2 years they had the White House, the House and the Senate. Now I'd like to see what bills they weren't able to get passed during this time due to the Republicans stopping them. None. Because the Republicans didn't have enough control to stop anything. That's when all the deficit spending started. Then Obama comes along with the health care, the stimulus and things really went haywire. There's the baseline in the budget. Every year the federal budget item by item automatically is slated to go up by a certain percentage. It changes each year from department to department.
Every year of the federal budget item by item automatically is slated to go up by a certain percentage. It changes from department to department. It's built-in increases every year regardless whether the department needs it or not. That's why you see advertisements for food stamps from the agriculture department. They want to make sure they get or have a reason to get more money, but it really doesn't really matter because they're gonna get it anyway. Let's say defense is expected to get 10% because that's what is written by the previous Congress. But this year it only goes up 5%. They call it a 5% cut when in reality it is still a 5% increase. Every year the federal budget is slated to grow by a minimum of 3% to 5%. Obama's stimulus of $800 billion, basically, raised the baseline of federal spending just in that one piece of legislation by $800 billion. Once spent, it has to be spent every year again. Maybe not the same way. It is etched in stone into the budget since it was spent. The Democrats have been in charge of the Senate from 2007. The were in charge of the House and Senate from 2007 through 2010. In 2009 and 2010 Obama was president. And even now the Democrats control the Senate and the White House, and no law can be passed without the approval from both those bodies. The Republicans controlling the House can not stop anything. So, after 5 years with Democrats in control of 2/3 or more of the government, only somebody genuinely ignorant, or a liar, would think Republicans or conservatives have any responsibility for the current state of affairs. The Republicans haven't had the power to implement their own ideas. The Democrats have not even presented a budget in over 3 years. Only the Republicans have.
On January 3, 2007, the day the Democrats took control of both house of Congress, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 12,621. The unemployment rate on January 3, 2007 was 4.6%. The gross domestic product, the economic output for the previous quarter was 3.5%. The economy had just set a record of 52 straight months of job creation or 52 straight months of new jobs every month in the 52 months prior to January 2007. Twenty six million American were on food stamps on January 3, 2007.
That number has doubled now. The Social Security Program took in something in the neighborhood of $100 billion more than it paid out in 2007. The national debt was approaching $9 trillion. The Dow is about the same but, that's just recently. For most of the past few years the Dow was way down and people were in panic over it. The unemployment rate in January 2007 was 4.6%. Today it is at least 8.3% and above. GDP in January 2007 was 3.5%. Now it's 1.8%.
Now we're into 3 straight years of job losses since Obama took office. Social Security is now spending more than it takes in and the national debt is approaching $17 trillion. It was $9 trillion in January 2007. And 4 out of the last 5 years Democrats have had the majorities in the legislative and executive branches of government. There is no intellectual case that can be made that the Republicans are the reason for all this spending and continued economic collapse. Not one Republican policy has been implemented. Social Security for the first time ever is spending more than it is taking in. We already have a $16 trillion dollar national debt. GDP is 1.5% an falling. Our debt is rising. There's no way and not mathematically possible true or accurate to say this decline has anything to do with conservative or Republicans. They haven't had enough power and they haven't had the ability to stop any of this even if they wanted to do so.

It is not unusual during elections for candidates to cast aspersion on their
rivals to portray them as unworthy of support, and Republicans have spent
considerable time blaming President Obama for sluggish job growth. In fact, the
GOP, and particularly Willard Romney, has assailed the President for not
creating jobs they claim is only possible if the wealthy receive more tax cuts
and the government goes on a deregulation frenzy. The GOP agenda has never
changed in over thirty years, and despite the abject failure of their grand
scheme to enrich “job creators” and their corporations, they persist in
attempting to convince Americans that the policies that have failed time and
time again are the only remedy to save the economy and spur full employment.
Romney, in particular, assails the President for being “anti-business,
anti-investment, and anti-job policies,” but as usual, Romney lies.
It is important to remember that on Inauguration Day, a group of Republican
leaders gathered to map out their plan to obstruct every one of the President’s
economic plans and they certainly followed through on their promises. Since the
President has been in office, Republicans voted against the stimulus that
created over 3 million jobs, infrastructure improvements, breaks for small
businesses that hire new employees, all of the jobs bills, and any program to
spur economic growth. Republicans, and Romney, claim that if the President had
concentrated on job creation instead of the landmark healthcare reform bill, the
economy would be in better shape than it is and Americans would be back to work.
However, their obstructionist tactics have subverted any attempts to create jobs
so their argument falls flat
Yesterday the President pointed out that the private sector created 4.3 million jobs in
the past 27 months, but highlighted there are problems with state and local
governments that have suffered cuts from austerity measures that resulted in the
public sector losing over 600,000 jobs. The President’s stimulus package helped
create and save millions of jobs as states received much needed federal relief,
and if Republicans in Congress spent money for the public sector like they did
during George W. Bush’s administration, the unemployment rate would fall to 7.3%
immediately. Remember too, that when Speaker John Boehner was informed that
Republican budget cuts would eliminate 1.1 million jobs, he said “so be it.” If
the public sector added back the nearly million jobs lost to austerity measures,
those workers would increase their spending that would create more private
sector jobs and the unemployment numbers would drop significantly
The Republican assertion that giving so-called job creators tax cuts creates
jobs has been tested since Bush was president, and after they held unemployment
benefit extensions and payroll tax cuts hostage for a two-year extension of
Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy, jobs never materialized disproving their
claim that tax-cuts create jobs. What creates jobs, according to business owners
across the country, is not lower taxes or deregulation, but putting money into
the economy as evidenced by the President’s stimulus package. In fact, what
Republicans are loath to mention is that the stimulus contained $275 billion in
tax cuts for the middle class that they promptly spent boosting the economy and
creating more jobs. Every Republican voted
against the stimulus package that created over 3.1 million jobs making their
“jobs a high priority” meme as false as their campaign pledge leading up to the
2010 midterm elections. It is part of the historical record that for the past
year-and-a-half, Republicans have spent all their time creating religious edicts
against women, same-sex marriage, and contraception instead of focusing on
“jobs, jobs, jobs” they campaigned on with religious fervor.

against women, same-sex marriage, and contraception instead of focusing on
“jobs, jobs, jobs” they campaigned on with religious fervor.
If there is any blame for killing jobs in the past three years, it falls on
Republicans in Congress and states who have worked tirelessly to slash social
safety nets and shrink the government. By a large margin, Republicans voted
against the Detroit auto industry bailout that saved hundreds-of-thousands of
jobs and created 170,000 new ones, and yet they voted to give Wall Street $700
billion to rescue the people who decimated the world’s economy and killed
millions of American’s jobs. Still, Republicans and Romney are parroting the
canard that President Obama’s policies are retarding job creation and
restricting job creators from investing in America and it is time for the
President to cease the niceties and place the blame where it belongs; on
Republicans.
President Obama has taken the high road throughout his tenure with attempts
at bipartisanship that voters said they expect from their representatives, but
Republicans have conceded nothing for the past three years. Instead, they have
blocked legislation to stimulate the economy and create jobs while complaining
the wealthy need more tax breaks to invest in America. Taxes are their lowest
rates in 60 years, government spending is at its lowest level since before
Reagan was president, and still, Republicans want more for the wealthy and
smaller government. Their policies have sent more Americans below the poverty
line than any developed country except for Romania, and their Draconian spending
cuts and budgets portend more job losses that will drive the economy into a deep
recession. It is time for the President to talk to the American people and
educate them why job growth is sluggish and exactly who is responsible.
The government cannot create full employment on its own, but it can boost
employment in the public sector by investing in education, infrastructure, and
small businesses that Republicans are intent on obstructing, and the public
needs to understand the damage Republican cuts to government spending has on
jobs and the economy. Republicans and their Mormon candidate for president have
broadcast their intention to shrink government, give $10.7 trillion in tax cuts
to the wealthy, privatize Medicare and Veterans benefits, and the results will
be a country of unemployed peasants while the wealthy wallow in luxury. That is
the message President Obama and Democrats must relate to the American people and
with facts and data to back up their message, only fools, racists, religious
fanatics, and hardline conservatives will support the destructive agenda
Republicans are promoting as America’s salvation.
The President has tried bipartisanship, negotiation, and concessions to move
the country forward, and Republicans have not budged on their Draconian,
government destroying agenda and, indeed, have ratcheted up their push to finish
what Bush-Republicans started with deregulation, two unfunded and unnecessary
wars, and more tax cuts for the rich. Willard Romney has broadcast his intention
of going farther with Bush-era policies that sent the country on a course of
destruction and it is astounding that one American would vote for revisiting the
most disastrous administration in our history, but there is no accounting for
racists, religious fanatics, and ridiculously stupid Americans who will go to
the polls in November and vote for their own, and this country’s demise. Now, it
is up to President Obama to tell the American people what semi-intelligent
Americans with a memory already understand; high unemployment, the sluggish
economy, and threat of war are entirely the fault of Republicans.

http://www.politicususa.com/john-boehner-deliberately-killing-3-million-construction-jobs.html
In the lead-up to the 2010 midterm elections, Republicans, led by John
Boehner (R-OH) promised their highest priority was “jobs, jobs, jobs,” and
despite offering no concrete plans to stimulate hiring, the nation anticipated
some kind of sweeping legislation to get Americans back to work. It is now the
lead-up to the 2012 General Election, and Speaker of the House John Boehner says
the American people want to know; “where are the jobs?” It has been a
year-and-a-half since Boehner and Republicans took control of the House of
Representatives and besides not producing any jobs, Boehner has revealed himself
to be the most incompetent House leader in recent memory. What Boehner has
accomplished, is attacking women’s right to choose their own reproductive
health, attempted to pass legislation purposely designed to kill millions of
Americans’ jobs, as well as push the Keystone XL pipeline to enrich the oil
industry and himself. If the American people want to know where the jobs are,
they can look no farther than John Boehner’s desk.
In a rare bipartisan move, the Senate passed a highway and transportation bill
that saves 1 million construction jobs and creates 2 million more, but led by
Speaker John Boehner, the teabagger extremists in the House are failing to hold
a vote on the transportation bill to keep unemployment numbers high and damage
President Obama’s re-election chances. What Republicans in the House did propose
was an economically shortsighted bill that kills a half-a-million jobs next year
alone. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said, “It defies imagination that the Republican leadership
and chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee would turn their
backs on the needs of our country and pretend it is good government.” Even
the ultra-conservative U.S. Chamber of Commerce blasted
the Republican version of the transportation bill as being “devastating
to construction and related industries—materials, equipment, design,
engineering. As important, in the long run, disinvestment results in a less
competitive economy and a drag on GDP due to underperforming
infrastructure.” In an even rarer
letter to Rep. John Mica (R-FL), author of the Republican measure, two
Democratic and two Republican representatives wrote, “Reducing investment in
America’s transportation system at this time will have a negative impact on the
construction, engineering, manufacturing and materials companies which are
already struggling with high unemployment. Transportation infrastructure is one
of the most cost efficient and effective ways to reduce unemployment and
stimulate the economy. Studies suggest that for every $1 billion spent on
transportation projects more than 35,000 jobs are created.” The Senate’s
transportation bill, worth $109 billion creates 3,815,000 construction jobs and
yet, Republicans like Speaker John Boehner are asking; “where are the
jobs?” They are sitting on your desk Speaker Boehner and you cannot see fit to hold a vote on helping the construction industry, the hardest
hit by Bush-Republicans economic catastrophe, by creating over three-million
construction jobs

Good one six---I totally agree with the lady--Make people seek help who use their who misuse their food allowances for any other purpose than food. I only wish she was that aggressive on the elected officials who take our tax money. I think they should be held to the same, or higher standards, because you know where that little box says fed. income tax withheld, that part of my taxes are being used to support a bunch of underhanded, selfish crooks. Who are continually yelling; cut off the food stamps, and medication from sick people, while they are stuffing their pockets with dirty money from the Koch brothers, Wall Street, and Big Banks. - I'd still rather see FICA-than FED-; but any way, - The Weed is about to be freed-any other Drug===Please seek Help.
Oh boy what's next Obama gonna give out drugs to test! WOW! Pot was ok to give to the troops in Viet Nam so they would fight like the Hessian's.
Oh happy Day!--don't say that it will be breaking news on foxx tomorrow.-
No offense TM...... God Bless the Tea Party. If we didn't have radio personalities and the Tea Party the Communist would have already completely taken over this country. Thank goodness some have did all they could to slow down the Marxist agenda the Liberals were and have been promoting in this country.
Oh, Six....Six...Six....how did you get so far out on this Marxist business?
How can you believe that? I mean, it is NONSENSE!
I'd like to see something done about all the illegals coming into this country, but the Department of Injustice is too busy suing states for enforcing laws to prevent it and selling guns to drug cartels, causing thousands to die from those illegal actions to try to convince the people in this country how bad guns are and we should have them outlawed. Too bad the Liberals refuse to accept the truth when it is right in front of their faces. sesa, desda
http://blogcritics.org/politics/article/basic-facts-on-illegal-immigration/
I'm not going to take the time to post this again, but your smart enough to read all 3 pages.
Six you know you don't care about illegals coming into the country 'cuz right wing bobble heads want to bitch about the border yet refuse to entertain any discussion of giving the fed the equipment and the man power to do it by calling it spending
You know that. You also know the border is more secure than it ever has been before because under Obama there are guards and equipment than there ever has been before. More illegals deported in three years than bush did in eight and the number of people crossing the border is not going drastically up so there is no adjusting for inflation.
The stupid voting laws designed to have people show ID they never before in US history to vote under the guise of voter fraud that you can't prove is such a massive problem. If you gave a damn about keeping elections fair where the hell were decades ago with these ideas? How do we know that the 2010 republicans didn't cheat since we didn't have these ultra necessary voting laws then so guess that election is in question too...after all if it happend in 08(4 years ago) and is such a problem how wouldn't it have happend in 2010(2 years ago)?
Oh that's right the republicans are just fraud ground hogs, when you pop out of your hole and see you might lose than it's six more years of awful voter fraud that can't be shown by statistics
Funny how Eric Holder was apparenlty the only person who made up, personally managed on the ground and lead on fast and furious aka the menendez case aka that thing the ATF and DEA all the time that always ends up getting someone killed out there because of how dumb the drug war that the republicans started is. So yeah let's blame the DOJ which has no real oversight over either of those groups because these are separate departments that in the case of the DEA Nixon decided to create with no board of real oversight. Time to shut both of them down, if not many more will die, you care about politics not substance on this issue.
When the assault weapons ban expired mexican cartel violence went through the roof. Coincidence? I think not. Where does the right think the cartel's money comes from? America, there guns also are smuggled by criminal gangs in america particularly near the border states since they are GOP have no real restrictions on machine guns and assualt rifles. More importantly the right has always been claiming that American gun laws can't have anything to do with what is happening in mexico, guess you abandoned that narrative I see since you claim the opposite in your own rationale. Make up minds righties...pick one side and stick with it.
No one wants guns outlawed there are reasonable limits as we have for every other constitutional amendment. Right Wing fools think the second amendment is the only one that can't have any potential limits unlike speech or due process, habeus corpus, etc.
We agree on quite a few things there Cynical.
TM.... I'll get around to reading that #36.1. You know I have attention deficit syndrome. Every time I start something else gets my attention. Promise.
I was reading that Koch Brother's article TM, but started feeling sick on my stomach when I saw that Indian lady Elizabeth Warren and couldn't go any further. Wonder if Nancy Pelosi is Indian as well? I guess we'll have to wait until they pass away to see what's inside. Definitely not wanting them to pass away any time soon. Saturday Night Live ratings are down and I think it would be nice if they donated some of their time over there. They sure are providing a lot of laughs to the general public.
I give up.
Obama and Romney are the same in my opinion except I hope Romney isn't a Marxist. I know it is a lot easier when you're retired and have plenty of time to work on your progressive activities, but I see business people every day and I haven't met a one that is voting for Obama in November.
The Tea Party has actually been proven to be funded by a communist fortune.
I would give you more info, but I don't want to be acused of spamming so you can go back and find it on page one. or just link it here.
Think what you like you know nothing about Romney....no one does because he has plan or policy positions
@ six--I'm glad I left my computer on, while I was getting ready for bed. If I hadn't i wouldn't have glanced down and saw your post. SIX- I feel your pain, i have been able to figure out by reading your post, just how much you dislike our President. You have expressed to everyone who reads your post your disgust for him. So I kinda figure that it must be really hard on you, because you sometimes portray yourself as a very intelligent person. -You have been left with a hard decision, I can imagine being forced to have to support a person like Willard Mitt Romney, You really can't post any of his attributes, because he has none. You really can't compare him to the President, because you know so little about him. And, as he continue to be in the spotlight, the more you know, I'm sure, disappoints you even more. All I can offer you six is my sympathy, and advice, which I'm sure you're too proud to take either. I am glad to be able to choose with my heart, my mind, and deepest conscience the Man who I know is best for our Country, {and he's a Democrat- A real One} for President this year, with no regrets. Since you will probably never be sure about the Republican candidate of 2012, nor, will you ever fully understand what he stands for, do yourself a favor SIX-, just push the straight Dem. button, you don't even have to look at the name. I hope I have been of help to you, That was, and is, my goal.----Stay Strong My Friend

If you care about New York and want to help educate and mobilize around legislative campaigns-then we look forward to hearing from you!
Apply at http://www.workingfamiliesparty.org/jobs/.
According to Wikipedia, New York's Working Families Party was first organized by a "coalition of labor unions, ACORN and other community organizations."
The WFP also has a powerful alliance with Dennis Rivera and Local 1199/SEIU (Service Employees International Union). The intensely activist union is known to contribute more than $100,000 a year of the party's $1.4 million annual budget.
DiscoverTheNetworks has more:
Currently composed of some 30,000 members, the Working Families Party (WFP) is a front group for ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). WFP functions as a political party in New York State and Connecticut, promoting ACORN-friendly candidates. Unlike conventional political parties, WFP charges its members dues -- about $60 per year -- a policy characteristic of ACORN and its affiliates.
According to the party's website, WFP is a coalition founded jointly by ACORN, the Communications Workers of America, and the United Automobile Workers. However, ACORN clearly dominates the coalition.
New York ACORN leader Steven Kest was the moving force in forming the party, and WFP headquarters are located at the same address as ACORN's national office, at 88 Third Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
NOTE: These days, WFP and the ghost of ACORN -now called New York Communities for Change- share a different address... on Nevins Street in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
An outgrowth of the socialist 'NEW PARTY," WFP was created in 1998. According to a 2000 article by the Associated Press, its objective was (and still is) to "help push the Democratic toward the left."
You remember the New Party, right?
.... NP's hostility to capitalism was made plain in the party's assertion that
“our major economic problem
is not the government, as conservatives claim,
but American enterprise itself.”
Internal ACORN/New Party documents give evidence that NP sought to employ a “pragmatic” leftism that rejected ideological purity and instead sought to “organiz[e] the private economy to serve public ends”; i.e., rather than nationalizing the entire economy, the aim was to fight for government regulations that would empower community groups like ACORN to create “popular and democratic control over the economy.”
In 1997, NP's influence declined precipitously after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that electoral fusion was not protected by the First Amendment's freedom of association clause. By 1998 the party was essentially defunct. Daniel Cantor and other key party members went on to establish a new organization with similar ideals, the Working Families Party of New York.

You've just gotta KNOW that George Soros in bound to be in here, somewhere, right?
Right.
In the 2004 election cycle, a new force entered New York politics: billionaire financier George Soros. The Soros-funded Drug Policy Alliance -- a drug legalization lobby through which Soros often funnels political contributions -- gave $81,500 to the Albany County District Attorney campaign of Democrat David Soares. Instead of donating the money directly, however, the Drug Policy Alliance laundered Soros' contribution through the Working Families Party -- an illegal act according to New York State law.
It's the whole fam-damily of Obama's Organized anti-American Communities. Maybe you already thought so, just from the pictures you've been seeing on television, but now you know a lot more:)
And I'd bet my house, you won't be seeing any of this in the mainstream media. It's up to you to inform your friends and neighbors.
High Rachael! Guess what Lawrence O'Donnell talking about again! Seems to be a closet stoner!
Many women say that pot make "That time of the month" much easier to bare. And all of the men they know agree!
@X--You know what I was thinking the same thing; L.O. definitely wants the weed freed! --You got my vote on that one---free the weed the 30th is almost here!
I heard in Teaxas that you can get up to 10 years behind bars for possession of one joint! But yet they can drive with a open sixpack and two loaded pearl handled six shooters with out a care! Can you say WOW!
Thank you Rachael for your concern. And I know you are sincere. You're right. I don't care for Romney, but I care for Obama even less. I don't know as much about Romney as I would like to know. Mostly because I haven't seen him as president yet. I do hope I do next year though. I do know a considerable amount more about Obama than you do. I don't mean to sound mean, but I could put some things on here that you would read but wouldn't believe because unfortunately you have faith in a man and not a country. Whether Obama wins or Romney wins this election each will move on and we will still be here. Both are big business whether you would like to accept that or not. Obama is gifted in being able to make a compelling speech. It has been said people see Obama, but they don't hear him. It's almost hypnotic to some, but to others it is clear as a bell. I can't go on at this time. I must stop here.
I don't smoke the stuff now xxx, but I have and I enjoyed it. Don't see much of a problem for most people who want to participate. It's like anything else. If you get up every day and light one up you miss out on a lot of life that only becomes evident once you have stopped for some time. It's like all those years, where did they go? I know from a current smoker's perspective, that sounds a little wacky and ridiculous, but it's true. I'd like to light up one right now. Sure makes playing guitar a whole lot more fun.
WOW, WOW, WOW---! X-Texas democrats are the ones who are trying to de-criminalize it. according to L.O.----@-six-fire it up six---i would too if they didn't do random test on my job--it just mellowed me out, back in the day, much less side effects than drinking.
Three of my favorite things to do was getting stoned, playing music and Well. Kind of worked real good together, actually. Have to put the guitar down, though.
If Willard has a plan or a valid idea on how to really help the country why hold back? Is he afraid the Obama once again steal the ideas of the right? Or doesn't he have clue? He certainly has enough money to last him and his family for many years even if the whole world goes in the dumper. If he is a real caring person like he was when he gave advice to Obama on the Health care package why hold back?
There is one thing I fear allot about Romney and that's his religion, the Mormon's push it and worship wealth and the the few other things he has said back those fears up!
Oops Thats Chris Matthews! LOL I always get them mixed up! LOL!
It really makes me laugh...Deja Vu...anyway Willard doesn't want a Tea Party VP and I'm quite sure Grover does. But if Mitt is smart he wouldn't want one.
@-X- You know X, the tea Party just let their imagination run wild about the President's religion, even though he told them he was a Christian. -Now we have a Man who's Republican up for President, who is Mormon to the bone, and proud of it. Where are these people, who were afraid of a non-Christian holding the office of Presidency?---I am going to study more on his choice of worship this week-end. I really don't know much about it.---where does Chris Matthews fit in on your comment?
Well the guy on MSNBC now is Chris Matthews NOT Lawrence O And no I'm not smokin the Wacky Tobacky!
Darn!-- --goodnight X, well it's time to go, I hate to leave, but I really must go*, goodnight X-goodnight!
Indeed I think Washington..ect! is on drugs! And whatever they are taking I don't want it!
Well xxx if he told us what his plan was then we would know what thinks before the election and the Romney team wants to avoid that at all costs....probably a safe idea since Mitt more often shoots himself in the foot
Has anyone noticed how whenever someone asks him for real answers on the questions which are not based on falsehoods or antagonism...that when someone asks a legit question he quickly become frustrated?
There is no surprise Romney wouldn't put out a plan because he because he doesn't have one. Romney believes we should take him at his word about being a job creator or an entrepreneurial "citizenship". We have not done this on either side and that's why the country knows he's lying about that issue and the people will learn he has lied on countless others. The GOP have been playing backseat president for the past two years and demand the ability to put in their input on real problems yet when they have the oppurtunity they never do anything.
The GOP has been too busy trying to get in the vagina's of our wives, sisters, mothers, girlfriends, and daughters this whole time.
Small government is a cute bumper sticker or catch phrase by people who want to claim government is too powerful and large are also the same people who support patriot act and anti-choice laws, unions, sharia law.....birth control. This garbage must be stopped if we want to solve problems.
I mean what's next....making women register their vaginas with the state and submit to have a governemnt monitoring device in their uterus so the state can control their reproductive rights. I don't care what anyone claims to stand for, this is about law not relgious beliefs. Honestly in my day if you didn't want to have an aboration because you thought it was wrong then you didn't have the abortion....golly it wasn't that hard to do
Women's vaginas are not public domain nor is a doctor's office and so government has no right to try and control it.
CC, He has to keep his egregious agenda quiet. Even the T-party would flee in fear!
The GOP has finally become right of even Hitler.

SiX--keep the fire lit. without differences of opinions we would still be stuck back in the cavemen days. That's why I'm glad I'm even handed. My Motto is right is right, and wrong is wrong. There ain't no wrong in right, and no right in wrong. --You Betcha!------------------you all have a good one--unlike Santorum, I know what's burning down there, I don't have to figure it out----It's MY EYES GUY'S--
Kinda funny...Bush a said "You miss me yet" And I just was thinking Bill Clinton!
I know times are changing...Bob Dylan...And I know if we could put Bill in for part of a term to end the gridlock...I know I'm a dreamer...John Lennon...if they would all agree! Oh just forget it!!..............................................
LOL--maybe one day--LOL -don't lose the keys!
The man in Wisconsin has got mind his Ps & Qs until the General election. He's got some days in court and who knows what that will bring? None the less the jobs official jobs report is coming out soon the 28th I think??? And that will show if Walker indeed has made for any real jobs. Even if its good I still will be suspicious because of the Koch Bros. own and run so much there.....

Funny six in good way, I don't have to listen to the songs to say I like them... The mind created over millions of years of evolution...or maybe just a puff from the nostrils of God. We are the caretakers of this one and only home. I think we are getting a LOW grade toward the Earth & how we treat each other.
RUSH/2112 not the other one! I liked their early stuff....and than kinda fell off...
SIX do U like the DOORs?
Yes I always loved Jim Morrison's music. Too many great musicians are not with us today. Of course I guess we all have our moments. It's like the magic light is shining down on us for a time and then we are in the dark again and someone else receives the magic.
For some reason I could change during edit. I liked Rush but didn't really listen to them as much. I think I would recognize the sound of there sounds more that I'd recognize the names of their songs. We need to put some things on YouTube and then provide links to them.
Ed forgot to mention that attached to the Farm Bill is the NRA earmark that will allow road and bridge building in our wilderness areas for hunting purposes. Can't use the old road beds, I guess, or hike in.
Before we know it there will be a Walmart on each side of Mt. Rainier in the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest. Just got to give 'em an inch.....
Kathe, How true. I hate the NRA and always have.
We can't give these extremists an eighth of an inch.

You gotta be a 70s rocker. Fragile we one of my first LPs those big black things that sounded like Rice Krisppies!
I don't know what I am. It depends what instrument I'm assigned to play as to what music I'm inclined to like. I like to play about anything. I find myself liking just about any music as long as it is done well. I admit, I'm not into today's music as much, but the magic is shining on someone else. I use to go visit these old timers and play gospel bluegrass, leave, smoke a doobie and play rock n roll with my other buddies. Then drink a beer or two and play country with my other friends. I guess I was kind of like Obama. LOL. Those days are over.
Six I am so in love with you.....r choice of music! hee Hee!

TC.... I like Flamenco as well. I have a friend that taught Flamenco music. I haven't seen him in years. He said those players started really young and were old men before they could even have a chance as being known as Masters. I wish I could play like this fellow, but I'd be over 100 years old by the time I made it.
