16yr old may make decision but they will have to work to take care of themselves. And the reason coming over here is to survive. What kind of life would a 16year old would have in Mexico. Latino kids, raised in Mexico are obedient to their parents especially when it means their survival.

Romney can't praise racism because he won't get any votes. He is having people like Trump do that for him.
Romney can't criticize racism because all of his campaign donations will vanish. The majority of his donors, including the Koch brothers, are prominent racists.
His campaign donors are the same white supremacists that donated money to politicians and outlaw immigrant drivers licenses so that police can steal cars from foreign traveler in the US and deport the drivers so they can sell the stolen property.
About 1.7 million "self deported" because to avoid getting thrown in jail. Obama made a mistake by forcibly deporting about 1 million more before he realized that is prolonging the depression.
So about 3 million immigrants abandoned millions of dwellings and vehicles, which collapsed the real estate and automotive industries.
Romney will do exactly the same thing all over again if he gets the opportunity.
And the only way Romney will get the chance is if people believe lies.
So he has to keep flip flopping.
No other strategy will work because Romney will loose if anyone holds him accountable to any firm stance on immigration and racism.
Ed needs to ask this question:

But Romney would try to dodge answering that question truthfully. He wouldn't want to admit to himself that (quite likely) the only reason some people are voting for him is because they are Racist Birthers who don't think Obama is constitutionally eligible to be President, refusing to accept as true the indisputable evidence to the contrary. Romney has an intrinsic need to believe that people are voting for him because of something desirably good; it would be a severe blow to his hyper-inflated ego if he were forced to accept the truth, despite what he has said about accepting support from people he may disagree with, as the sheer quantity of those people who are only voting for Romney only because it's the most effective way for the Obama-haters to vote against Obama.

BTW, that bellicose info won't be found in the Book of Mormon or the other 3 books. They are official words and "prophecy" from Joseph Smith's sermons and transcripts of Mormon presidents proclamations at conferences over the years.
Smith asked Young to come up and tell what word is true. He took the Bible and the other 2 books available at the time and declared that none of it would be held to be the truth but, prophecy (we know this is not really what they do). Smith confirmed that Young spoke the truth. That's one of the reasons why it's so difficult to research this religion.
