7. Federal regulators refused to block
widespread predatory lending practices

8. Federal bank regulators claimed the power to supersede state consumer

protection laws that could have diminished predatory lending and other
abusive
practices.
9. Federal rules prevent victims of abusive loans
from suing firms that bought
their loans from the banks that issued the
original loan.
10. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac expanded beyond their
traditional scope of
business and entered the subprime market, ultimately
costing taxpayers hundreds
of billions of dollars.
11. The abandonment of antitrust and related regulatory principles enabled the
creation of too-big-to-fail megabanks, which engaged in much riskier
practices
than smaller banks.
12. Beset by conflicts of interest,
private credit rating companies incorrectly
assessed the quality of
mortgage-backed securities; a 2006 law handcuffed the
SEC from properly
regulating the firms.

President Obama's vision for America is more efficient than Romney. The president has laid a detail vision that make sense and shows results than failure. There is so much discussion about how Americans are suffering. An 8.2% unemployment rate must take into account various factors: 1) People are not trained, college educated or technologically experienced. Unemployment for college graduates is 2%. We need to place emphasis on education whether a certificate, or college. President Obama has emphasized educating our society to compete with Asia, India and etc.

Another part of the 8% of unemployed is the increase in the prison population which is mostly Black Males. We should re-institute educating inmates, GED's and College Degrees and other skill trades training. Yes, some Americans are suffering but the majority of us are meeting are daily needs of shelter, food and clothing. Finally, Americans need to learn how to budget our finances without the Gucci bags, expensive jewelry, big houses and cars, and live within our means. Greed in America has and will continue to cause the fall of America. In essence I support President Obama in his plan(s) of Yes we can move forward.
