Mitt Romney the choice of......ah...the republican..ah Tea Party..ah NO Grover Norquist was it. Much to the chagrin of the Tea Party and will hold their noses and vote for this vampire of jobs. Mitt said it "I will do the same thing to *Amercia* that I did at Bain Capital" Be very afraid!
you ever seen this web site. speaking of Grover. speaking about palling around with terrorist.
http://www.historycommons.org/searchResults.jsp?searchtext=grover+norquist&events=on&entities=on&articles=on&topics=on&timelines=on&projects=on&titles=on&descriptions=on&dosearch=on&search=Go
WOW sharky!! How little is known about these things! I had to take a break from it, but it sure looks like they were hiding or a least knew about 911 and the location of Osama all the time and got money from the terrorist to help Grover to gain power! If what is said in there is true its time to get out the blindfold smoke and firing squad.
WOW WOW WOW!
yes i was kind of taken back myself. shaking my head even if 1/4 is true it still would be on the super bad side.
Ahh, Grover, we hardly knew you.
So now i guess we know what he has on the GOP now. to keep them in line.
I guess that's where he learned to be a terrorist.
I'll bet it will never be written in the school books! Some random person my ass!
No sh!t, Sherlock. And the games will continue. Who knew?
Norquist needs to be put up on treason charges NOW! Enough!!! Ike wouldn't pussy foot around with the likes of a Norquist. Terrorist or terrorist sympathizer?
Hi Kathe!!!
REALLY REALLY REALLY needs to be convicted and dealt in a way that traitors are!
It was the stupid laws put in place by the Democrats that Caused the mortgage crisis to begin with! The CRA (community Reinvestment Act ) put out there by Socialist Kennedy and his friends, that required Banks to give loans to all you people that should never have gotten them in the first place. And then go crying when you can't pay them back. Thanks guys.
BULL! Bush deregulated....that's what happen to the housing market.
President Clinton deregulated Glass Steagall
Didn't Barney Frank say Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was O.K.?
So typical of Libs .. when facts can support your argument , blame Bush.
Yep - just another purposefully ignorant GOMER !!!! On+On+on+on we Go !!! hey !!! S.O.B.S !!
Kentucky- what regulation or regulations did GWB rescind with respect to the housing market- a specific cite to the CFR would be helpful-
How many times do we have to debunk this crap before they stop repeating it. Oh yeah thats right they are the dumb tea bagged nation they believe if you keep repeating lies they will become facts, except that only works for those that are to stupid to tie their own shoes or take showers safely.
Community Reinvestment Act
Alleged relation to 2008 financial crisis
See also: Subprime mortgage crisis and Global financial crisis of 2008–2009
Economist Stan Liebowitz wrote in the New York Post that a strengthening of the CRA in the 1990s encouraged a loosening of lending standards throughout the banking industry. He also charges the Federal Reserve with ignoring the negative impact of the CRA.[101] In a commentary for CNN, Congressman Ron Paul, who serves on the United States House Committee on Financial Services, charged the CRA with "forcing banks to lend to people who normally would be rejected as bad credit risks."[106] In a Wall Street Journal opinion piece, Austrian school economist Russell Roberts wrote that the CRA subsidized low-income housing by pressuring banks to serve poor borrowers and poor regions of the country.[107]
However, many others hold that the CRA did not make a significant contribution of the subprime crisis. Nobel laureate Paul Krugman[108] noted in November 2009 that 55% of commercial real estate loans were currently underwater, despite being completely unaffected by the CRA.[109] According to Federal Reserve Governor Randall Kroszner, the claim that "the law pushed banking institutions to undertake high-risk mortgage lending" was contrary to their experience, and that no empirical evidence had been presented to support the claim.[110] In a Bank for International Settlements (BIS) working paper, economist Luci Ellis concluded that "there is no evidence that the Community Reinvestment Act was responsible for encouraging the subprime lending boom and subsequent housing bust", relying partly on evidence that the housing bust has been a largely exurban event.[111] Others have also concluded that the CRA did not contribute to the financial crisis, notably, FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair,[112] Comptroller of the Currency John C. Dugan,[113] Tim Westrich of theCenter for American Progress,[114] Robert Gordon of the American Prospect,[115] Ellen Seidman of the New America Foundation,[116] Daniel Gross ofSlate,[117] and Aaron Pressman from BusinessWeek.[118]
Legal and financial experts have noted that CRA regulated loans tend to be safe and profitable, and that subprime excesses came mainly from institutions not regulated by the CRA. In the February 2008 House hearing, law professor Michael S. Barr, a Treasury Department official under President Clinton,[63][119]stated that a Federal Reserve survey showed that affected institutions considered CRA loans profitable and not overly risky. He noted that approximately 50% of the subprime loans were made by independent mortgage companies that were not regulated by the CRA, and another 25% to 30% came from only partially CRA regulated bank subsidiaries and affiliates. Barr noted that institutions fully regulated by CRA made "perhaps one in four" sub-prime loans, and that "the worst and most widespread abuses occurred in the institutions with the least federal oversight".[120] According to Janet L. Yellen, President of theFederal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, independent mortgage companies made risky "high-priced loans" at more than twice the rate of the banks and thrifts; most CRA loans were responsibly made, and were not the higher-priced loans that have contributed to the current crisis.[121] A 2008 study by Traiger & Hinckley LLP, a law firm that counsels financial institutions on CRA compliance, found that CRA regulated institutions were less likely to make subprime loans, and when they did the interest rates were lower. CRA banks were also half as likely to resell the loans.[122] Emre Ergungor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland found that there was no statistical difference in foreclosure rates between regulated and less-regulated banks, although a local bank presence resulted in fewer foreclosures.[123]
During a 2008 House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing on the role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the financial crisis, including in relation to the Community Reinvestment Act, asked if the CRA provided the "fuel" for increasing subprime loans, former Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Rainessaid it might have been a catalyst encouraging bad behavior, but it was difficult to know. Raines also cited information that only a small percentage of risky loans originated as a result of the CRA.

Chris, Good Right Click and Paste. Now lets get the real truth. Sen. Chris Dodd, head of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, suppressed efforts by President George W. Bush (and the GOP Congress) to rein in the corruption at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac! Dodd also got a favorable loan from a bank connected to Mae and Mac! Also, he got a large contribution from Mae and Mac! (For his campaign, they say.)
Even closer, Rep. Barney Frank of the House Financial Services Committee who was the True Architect for the destruction of Fannie and Freddie let alone the hole housing economy suppressed efforts (as Dodd did and does) by Bush and Republicans to, again, investigate corruption by Mae and Mac!
Finally, President Barack Obama, as a lawyer, filed lawsuits against banks for ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) to force banks to give loans to people who (again) could not afford to pay them back! ACORN is a radical activist group. Obama (as a senator) suppressed efforts (again) by Bush and the GOP to investigate and rein in Fannie and Freddie!
Which finally forced Banks into the LIER LOANS." Indy Mac and Washington Mutual behind the Mortgage Company's with Dodd and Obama threating suits on behalf of low income people. Which was the demised of those two financial Institution. Which was the Domino affect including AIG. This was even agreed on msnbc your Liberal Financial Network.
Right typical right wing hit piece posted without giving your source. It reads like something from the Drudge liars report.
KentuckyBluebird..... Now here is your opportunity to learn something. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. There are a lot of other things that you can learn only if you'e willing to search for the truth and become an individual and not one of the collective.
Now keep your cursor over the pause button, stop and read, look and listen and you'll learn something you obviously aren't aware of. You know, the truth is the only thing that really matters. If you don't aim for the truth, you'll remain ignorant all your life. Here are a couple of videos that will help you learn the truth.

So you should now be aware it wasn't Bush, but the Democrats that prevented regulations on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack. You can either accept what you have seen from these Democrats or keep your beliefs with this conflicting evidence.
Obama bald face lies in the end of this video. If you don't feel different after seeing these facts, it's too bad for you.
whomitmay You can't have your cake and eat it too. CNBC is financial is Liberal. They even agreed. HA HA HA
Braying again? You never gave your source you just posted whatever it was in the article that fit your claim that it was Freddy and Frannie who was at fault, but who knows what was actually said, when it was said or who said it, we just have to take your worthless word that its a reliable source. That your word has been proven to be worthless, thats strike one, that you didn't give the source, a violation of vine posting rules strike 2 and cherry picking strike 3. Here is a clue in 2007 they were blaming Freddy and Frannie, but they soon learned that neither was the cause they were victims of the housing bundle scam not the inventors.
the initial claim was the GWB "deregulated" the housing industry- still no cite to any reg that was eliminated by GWB that impacted on housing or would have any casue and effect to the burst of the housing bubble and the resulting financial crisis-
whomitmay You don't even know what your talking about so move on.
To Big To Fail.....How could this have happened AGAIN???? I have closed my account with Chase. It all falls back to deregulations. Come on folks we need to clear CONGRESS! They are definitely not for the middle class.
DO YOU KNOW ANY POOR MORMONS? My point exactly.
You won't, There hard working people. They never relied on government assistant.
Sure Irish.....keep drinking that Koch-spiked tea.
Who do you think supports all those kids that don't have parents in Romney's shoes?
The church will support their own, so some of them don't need government assistance that don't practice polygamy...much.
IrishEagle... There are exceptions. Harry Reid one of the most important men in this country that has done more harm than anyone I know is owned by the unions. Without Las Vegas he would have lost a long time ago by a landslide. He also likes China's way of controlling the people which tells me he has leanings I don't think are very good for this country. You keep on drinking that tea. It helps prevent communism and will keep you from becoming a ninny. Harry Reid is a Mormon, so not all Mormons are good people.
Kathy go knit a sweater or do what you do! Come back with something better!
Ask Romney "What's your assessment of the downfall of the George W. Bush economy?". Maybe he should also be asked what assessment and downfall means also.>
Ask President Obama
What's your assessment of the downfall of the President Obama economy?".
President Obama doesn't have a downfall! Stock market looks good, Dow in the 12000 range, yeah, buddy. Private sector job growth- oh, yeah!
Republican governors are the ones firing their state employees, fact in AL.
Jobs Bill filibustered in the Senate by republicans~republican sabotage is responsible for the unemployment rate remaining at 8%. ~The republicans should all be charged with treason for failure to abide by their oath of office.
DEMELIZABETH - I'll let you be JUDGE & JURY as long as I am the EXECUTIONER. I would love to get rid of them for all this BS.
Dem how can you possible know that whatever stimulus bills not passed would have reduced the employment rate below 8%- if so how far below- contrary to a lot of conservatives- I believe we need more stimulus- but you have to be realistic- any stimulus spending will take time work through the system (typically years) to get results
Apparently, it only takes a few minutes to criticize it.
Obama stimulus is nothing but to shore up State and Local government Jobs just enough to get him reelected. Or basically keep the unemployment rate from go higher, which it will on May unemployment report. 8.3% - 8.5%. I think Obuma is in some pretty deep water. Do we call THAT AN AMATEUR.
No we call you amateur and a fraud. Why, because you ignore how the republicans went back to their districts to have photo ops at job sites created by the stimulus they voted against yet they want credit for those stimulus jobs. Once again GOP amateurs on display, a bunch of frauds.
So from 2007 to the end of 2010 the Democrats with the Independents that voted Democrat 90% of the time had the House and the Senate, then they got the White House. And then for nearly 2 years they had the White House, the House and the Senate. Now I'd like to see what bills they weren't able to get passed during this time due to the Republicans stopping them. None. Because the Republicans didn't have enough control to stop anything. That's when all the deficit
spending started. Then Obama comes along with the health care, the stimulus and
things really went haywire. There's the baseline in the budget. Every year the
federal budget item by item automatically is slated to go up by a certain
percentage. It changes each year from department to department.
Every year of the federal budget item by item automatically is slated to go up by a
certain percentage. It changes from department to department. It's built-in
increases every year regardless whether the department needs it or not. That's
why you see advertisements for food stamps from the agriculture department.
They want to make sure they get or have a reason to get more money, but it
really doesn't really matter because they're gonna get it anyway. Let's say
defense is expected to get 10% because that's what is written by the previous
Congress. But this year it only goes up 5%. They call it a 5% cut when in
reality it is still a 5% increase. Every year the federal budget is slated to
grow by a minimum of 3% to 5%. Obama's stimulus of $800 billion, basically,
raised the baseline of federal spending just in that one piece of legislation by
$800 billion. Once spent, it has to be spent every year again. Maybe not the
same way. It is etched in stone into the budget since it was spent. The
Democrats have been in charge of the Senate from 2007. The were in charge of
the House and Senate from 2007 through 2010. In 2009 and 2010 Obama was
president. And even now the Democrats control the Senate and the White House,
and no law can be passed without the approval from both those bodies. The
Republicans controlling the House can not stop anything. So, after 5 years with
Democrats in control of 2/3 or more of the government, only somebody genuinely
ignorant, or a liar, would think Republicans or conservatives have any
responsibility for the current state of affairs. The Republicans haven't had
the power to implement their own ideas. The Democrats have not even presented a budget in over 3 years. Only the Republicans have.
On January 3, 2007, the day the Democrats took control of both house of Congress, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 12,621. The unemployment rate on January 3, 2007 was 4.6%. The gross domestic product, the economic output for the previous quarter was 3.5%. The economy had just set a record of 52 straight months of job creation or 52 straight months of new jobs every month in the 52 months prior to January 2007. Twenty six million American were on food stamps on January 3, 2007.
That number has doubled now. The Social Security Program took in something in the neighborhood of $100 billion more than it paid out in 2007. The national debt
was approaching $9 trillion. The Dow is about the same but, that's just recently. For most of the past few years the Dow was way down and people were in panic over it. The unemployment rate in January 2007 was 4.6%. Today it is at least 8.3% and above. GDP in January 2007 was 3.5%. Now it's 1.8%.
Now we're into 3 straight years of job losses since Obama took office. Social
Security is now spending more than it takes in and the national debt is
approaching $17 trillion. It was $9 trillion in January 2007. And 4 out of the
last 5 years Democrats have had the majorities in the legislative and executive
branches of government. There is no intellectual case that can be made that the
Republicans are the reason for all this spending and continued economic collapse.
Not one Republican policy has been implemented. Social Security for the first
time ever is spending more than it is taking in. We already have a $16 trillion
dollar national debt. GDP is 1.5% an falling. Our debt is rising. There's no
way and not mathematically possible true or accurate to say this decline has
anything to do with conservative or Republicans. They haven't had enough power
and they haven't had the ability to stop any of this even if they wanted to do
so.
whomitmay Your statement makes NO SENSE! Are nipping on the bottle?
Oh really then why did the republicans do it if it doesn't make sense, but then again republicans have a history of taking credit for things they never did.
whomitmay again your wrong the Democrats had control of the house. ha ha ha ha
THIS IS MUTINY.....
can you believe the ads on tv? what risk? they are at it again(wally street) and the righties are saying let's do it again like we did last summer as the song goes. yeah.....let's give em social security tooooooooo.....hell just have all your check go to them while you work. they will make sure your minimum wage job covers it all.
I think the wmd's are over here and they have good lawyers and and and lobbyist politicians. risk? they ain't takin no risk. looks like they came out pretty good last time. let's do it again like we did last summer......more de regs is needed for em. couldn't you feal their pain last time?????????
we, who's is we? mine is off shored, isn't yours???????
I don't have one so I really don't care if they do CRASH.
I would like to see one old style republican tell me why the proven politics of the past just won't work anymore? I wouldn't ask a tea party(FAKE) for the time of day.
Also what happened to the "old republicans" and what do we call them? Preteapartians?!?!?
Preteapublicans?!?!?
You mean the conservative party when it meant, "I won't go along with change unless you can prove to me - with sound arguments - that you have rational reasons." ??
they sold their soul to the company store.....how many pieces did it take that was thrown at them. it's the old watch what you ask for Reagan...........you might get it.............
The Tea Party isn't a party! Show me anywhere on a ballot? Republicans call themselves Conservatives but they aren't anymore, they are to say the least Radical Conservatives or as liberals know them as the Radical Right!
The Tea Party is a movement.....unconscious party required.....wacky fringe is optional.
Not if we re-elect President Obama who will enforce fair rules on Wall Street!
We need to re-elect President Obama.
But we also realize that the President can not by himself "enforce fair rules" on Wall Street.
There needs to be a majority in the House and (apparently) a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate that is willing to DO THE WORK NECESSARY!!
The Dodd-Frank bill was passed (weaker than it needed to be) but to get regulations based on the bill approved and enforced requires CONGRESS!
There won't be a Wall Street anymore.
xxx ooo
I don't think doing away with Wall Street would be a good thing.
We just can't allow them to be STUPID AND IRRESPONSIBLE
Why would a Corportocracy need Wall Street? There wouldn't be a Federal Reserve Bank anymore either...
I do not worry about the US government of turning us all into socialist. But I am really more concerned about is a U.S. and world corporate take over! Many of the signs for this are already in place and more are on the way!
More prisons are OWNED and operated by big business and the are making them bigger for only one reason! MONEY!!! If you are unfortunate enough to end up in one of these places you now have to pay for you incarceration (room and board) it won,t be long before it will be a place of forced employment and not just making license plates! More and more people are being put in prison for crimes they did not commit, such as you get pulled over by a cop and they find something in your car (narcotics guns ect.) and the next thing you know your a inmate! And the next time you pick up a phone book see how many lawyers are in it! Why so many? If you get convicted of a crime that makes you felon you lose you right to vote, they say you have the right to vote but if this can be taken away its not a right,Right! And you can get away out of jail only if you have boat load of money or your a politician or have pull in the legal system (son of judge, cousin of Mayor ect.).
Good paying jobs are hard to find and getting harder for instance Boeing has tried to open a new plant in the southern US and the Union workers are have so far stopped it for two reasons one they will pay much less and if and when it opens they will ether be told they need to relocate or lose their jobs and I would guess get a smaller paycheck or be laid off and probably forever! I see this as an attack on the hard working middle class. And I think we all want a good paycheck, And I'm not put off by someone working in a factory for 8 plus hours I would like the same for myself and not wine about how much less I make! And its not the last time this has happened all US car companies have already done this to some degree. Let me ask you this question how do you feel when some other company way underbids a contract because they pay the workers much less or maybe they are from out of your local area? Its unfair? I think hard work should payoff with good pay, And its good for the economy! Yet big business is pumping huge amounts of money into political candidates who will do just this! Corporate takeover you bet it is, And its most of these big business Wall Street and Bankers too
and all to control you life more, or end your life! Its probably not question will the US go into default its when and then the US reserve will be devalued Allen Greenspan said a short while ago that it may devalue the dollar as much as 40% and who knows could be more. After that it will put the US on a level playing field economically, So they say? but in reality it puts the blue collar worker in the same pay rates of what some other countries rate of pay are (China Korea Mexico....) Sound good! More, right now pharmaceutical companies are claiming to have shortages of drugs, Cancer drugs and people are going without treatment, And this scares the hell out of me whats next? Insulin, blood pressure meds! Insurance companies don't get nothing out of this ether as they keep raising rates more people drop coverage and need to raise rates to keep their income up to par! Look in the phone book again and you will find even more of the same page after page of insurance companies with their hands in your pocket, And the outdated laws they will get more of your money as time goes on! Example, Texting is now illegal in most states and if you get busted they will raise your rates, Not to mention you pay for a higher rate if in your area there are more accidents DUI's ect. Uninsured motorist, And you could be under insured if you have a accident with a vehicle of opulence! I say why do we all have to pay for somebodies rich toy and because there are not in any way in a great number on the road! If someone can afford a vehicle of such a high value they should be the ones who pay a higher premium NOT the whole working blue collar lower or middle income motorist,Don'tcha think! And if you can afford full coverage on you vehicle and yours is a total loss, You pay a higher rate until the cost of its replacement value is payed back through payments or you lose your coverage and than put you right to drive (Not right, Privilege)and if you get caught with out insurance, well you know get a lawyer!Pay a fine or go to jail.
It doesn't end there now the Electric/Gas companies are next even though a large part of the US electric and gas comes from the US and Canada the power company keeps raising rates, As Excel energy just did in N.D. stating that reason for the increase was for the need to update and build newer power plants and they are in Minnesota! No words about building or updating in N.D.! I have to ask them after they are done building and updating the rates will go down! As far as I know and will check to see if and when they ever have. My guess is not for a long time if ever! BIG OIL and this makes me sick! 25% of US oil comes from Canada what part of OPEC are they?! And out in the Bakken formation they are flaring (BURNING OFF THE NATURAL GAS) about 1/3 (they say how do we know?)of it to get to the cash cow OIL! I have written to several politicians on How much are they taking and who keeps track of it and not a peep! So my guess they just take their word for it and a champaign contribution. Not done yet I still need to take you to Washington D.C. All politicians Democrats Republicans Independents Tea Party accept money from undisclosed donaters! Which some of them are from foreign countries (China Iran...) A bill for transparency was introduced but did not pass not long ago, so we already know that they do but just what they have promised to do while in office is the real secret? Just follow the money as they say and you will find out why I am in fear of this corporate takeover! As we lose our rights and our rights become privileges can and will be taken away (Like you privilege to Vote,Smoke, Drive,Drink,Own property,Even try and leave this country, If your a felon. And they are making more of us every day. This has been going on for quite some time and many have tried to get out of the BIG BUSINESS takeover because of in the past people have worked for a big company and before they retire they fire them and lose much pension health coverage after many years of service, And most of the time with no recourse, As the BIG Corporations move from one state to another that favors them because they need no reason to fire someone! So thats where the small and medium size businesses started to form a few years back and now you know whats happed there, Closed or struggling to stay in business! (like you friendly Mom&Pop hardware store try and find one! Like this and so many others they didn't have a co-op or union to help protect their lively hood! And where do you go now to get the products and services that they provided? Walmart Lowes CVS and like and boy this these guys get the breaks on health insurance for their under-payed employees and many of them did own a business for just the things they use to do for a paycheck, and many of us helped them out of business just to save a few cents! Myself included. And you better know someone special or have a body part you are willing to sell if want to start a business because the banks are NOT lending money to anyone unless they already have the clout to cover the loan. So what do we do in this country to change all this? Start another party, Have a revolution? Replace all the people in politics but how? Every time someone does try they get bought out or assassinated. The only way I see how it can be done is if all the people vote on every issue themselves without any real congress involved, Of course law would be made on a state and national level. We would need to make a NEW CONSTITUTION with the old as a model for the new one. As to not let people fall though the cracks or have unfair or uneven distribution what ever services WE decide to keep as a part of our NEW Government and to be sure that we stay as a nation undivided! And one more thing I think we can keep the flag just the way it is!
Wow.
My thoughts exactly. Wow how can they get away with it! Wow why do we let them.
He might can. After all he has received more money from Wall Street than any other candidate in history and quite a few of his Administration is straight from Wall Street. Someone should give him a favor, don't you think? After all he hasn't done anything to them.
@sixpick
No he can't. Our government is not structured to allow it.
Lets face it - The traitors (GOPTEA) will not be satisfied until they wring every dime out of the country and the people in it. Their plan is to kill the markets and red ink the Fed, the belief is if they are in power they will have "ABSOLUTE" power - They will have the White house, the House and the Senate (Their wet dream world) and the people will be relegated to near slavery with NO public way out because they will have cut or privatized EVERYTHING. I wish the word "obstructionests" would be replaced by what word should be in use - INSURECTIONESTS or TRAITORS, that is what they are, stop kissing their lying, vitriolic, oppresive and repressive asses. These f**cks want to destroy the middle class and OUR country and the left and progressives feel the need to play nice. WTF is wrong with the Dem party - Fight like it's the last stand - Because it f**cking A IS !
solver.... you have it all wrong. It's the other way around.
six I've never seen a more backwards statement from you.
xxx.... I'm sorry. Maybe I didn't read it correctly. You know I don't want the Tea Party, Democratic Party or the Republicans to have complete control. Sorry bout that.
I must stress out to eveerybody who has some Sense,It is very troubling where this country is heading.Racism still very much excists.Look what the disgusting GOP's are doing to Attorney Eric Holder and President Obama.People can overlook this all they want and say there is no racism but we all can see and hear how direspectful African Americans are still being talked about and how degrading and disrespectful they talk about our President. It is a crying shame that in the 21st century this still is such a nasty issue No other President as long as I have lived in this Country 42 years has been compared to Hitler a Gorilla a Nazi Communist degraded in such a vile manner wich just leaves me to believe that Racism never stoped and never will. This why Iam coming to you to please those who cares and agree Please Please Stand United See the Good in People we are all Gods Children who created us and Vote for President Obama he is a good Man ,lets remember what he has done and if given another Chance what he will continue to do.
What about Cain and West. They are black. Liberals are the backbone of racism, not Republicans. They have the blacks just where they want them, at the voting booth. The blacks have the highest unemployment rates in the country under this Democratic Administration. You can feed a man, but you can teach him to fish and he'll feed himself. Democrats are kind hearted and want to help the blacks just enough to maintain their votes.

Wow. A righty drunk on tea.
Wall Street has worked better because of the regulations that President Obama put on them. They went down because of the underhanded way they were operating.. Sure the housing marked crashed, but for more reasons than people buying houses they couldn't afford. There were also a lot of people getting two, or more houses, losing one house because of default on a loan, and then being able to buy another even bigger, and more expensive than the one the defaulted on. These under the table, you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours arrangements, left the tax payer holding the bag. Without regulations this disaster is bound to happen again. The banks will start to give bad loans to their friends, and family, whether they qualify or not. We need more regulations, to stop these type of maneuvers from ever happening again at Banks and wall street.
RACHAEL - The main reason for the housing bubble was because people took out an ADJUSTABLE RATE MORTGAGE which in turn ,the amount that you owe on it goes up & down to where your income stays at a flat rate.To me ,that's what I call complete stupidity. If I was to get a mortgage,I would want it to be a FIXED rate that way I pay a flat rate across the board on the loan instead of it fluctuating to where I would end up paying more than what it's worth and going deeper in debt.
@Ted--good point!
RACHAEL - That's the reason why people lose their homes. But as I forgot to mention also,it's the banks' fault for pushing people into getting an adjustable rate mortgage instead of a fixed rate.
Banks were providing 110% to 125% home loans in the hot markets of Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida, and several large cities in Texas. Home buyers were duped by loan brokers, realtors, and banks like Washington Mutual. TARP Funding was poured into JP Morgan Chase in return for taking on the Washington Mutual mess. Bank of America received TARP Funds in exchange for cleaning up the Countrywide mess. When you have Republicans and Democrats in the back pocket of Wall Street Banks like JP Morgan, it is only a matter of time before the next crash.
Rachael.... #58. Please do me a favor and look at some of my comments on this poll and read or look at the entire videos. Please. I know you are a very nice person, but being a part of a group is not nearly as worthy as being an individual who wants to know the truth.
Ted....what you've stated is one of the reasons for sure. I know some mortgage brokers that said they could get your score back then up for one day and that was all it took to qualify for loans you would never qualify for any other day and the score would go back to the bad one the next day. But it was too late and you got the loan. The banks were fined if they didn't produce enough sub-prime loans and Fannie Mack was more than willing to take them on, beause people like Frank Raines made millions in commissions from these loans. Then they were bundled up for Wall Street and often times they didn't even know how bad they were. They were sold all over the world. Getting back to you point, when the rates jumped up good honest people all of a sudden had payments that would nearly double and they just couldn't pay them. Frank Raines made his money, Wall Street made their money, the mortgage brokers made their money, but the people that were caught in this fiasco which the Republicans had tried to regulate were the ones that suffered.
SIXPICK - That's why I refuse to get an ADJUSTABLE RATE MORTGAGE because before you know it,you could be screwed / blued / tattooed before you even know what hit you. That's why I would rather have a fixed rate or nothing at all.
@-six--I must say thank you for the invitation to read your post, and check out your links. I do read your posts, as well as others, when I have the time. As you know I have already looked at some of your links. Like the one on A Black Democrat turns Republican; the headliner was an eye catcher, so I linked on to it to find out more info. To my dismay, it turned out to be Artur Davis, The Congressman from My area, who I, among with other fellow Democrats fought hard, against his election because of his fake, Conservative outlook. I did not read the entire post, because of my past experience with him. Your link came from an interview on him being broadcast on fox news. That was another reason for me not to go any further with the mind game that - He, and Fox were playing-. OK. again I gave your post another chance, and decided to link on to the one about Obama and guns, or something to that subject. What I saw was Our Sitting President being Portrayed as some kind of clown, or symbol, of what I consider to be degrading for any Person of the Black race. It was not amusing, insightful, or knowledgeable at all. I,m not implying that all your links consist of such hateful rhetoric, I can only testify to the ones I have opened up. I must say that maybe it's just me, but I am an avid reader, and a quick learner. I only absorb the things that are worth while for the future of my self, and the future of the people I must set an example for. I don't have the option to post links, nor do I see the need for me too. Their are plenty of people on this vine that post a lot of material, both from the left, and the right, to keep us all informed and educated on the things that matter. I live eat and sleep politics, and have for a long time. Believe me I believe that we can learn from anybody, and I keep an open mind for new ideas, and and a better way of doing things all the time. I just think politics, and politician's, should be help accountable for the way they choose to govern. As I stated on another post, History was designed for us to look back at the things we as a nation has experienced. To show how much we have accomplished, and to inspire us to be better, be bigger, better, stronger, and more intelligent. We should never reach back and pick up the things that separated us as a nation, we should look for the things that brings us together. This is my opinion; and I'm sticking to it; Blog on my brother, I'm sure someone is enjoying every word you post. I do too sometimes. ---- Thanks again----
Rachael.... I thank you for replying to my request. There will be no future request from me to have you become more informed as I specifically mentioned this poll and it is obvious you never checked out any of them. You've joined a lossing battle and when anyone says Fox is completely out of it, I realize they are not looking at the whole picture and there is no need to put in effort in trying to provide information for them as they are unable by that time to see clearly anyway. By the way, a lot of people have this fetish about Fox and I admit I watch Fox about an hour a week or less. I still appreciate your response. It let's me know I've seen you sink deeper into the abyst and just wanted to round out your vision. I am aware I've put things that haven't always been in a good light, but if you had all the information you would understand better. I did mention this poll only and you did mention everything but this poll, so I know and have been able to tell you've closed your mind to learning any more than you already know, which is generally a liberal view of self intelligence without merit. Sorry.
Six is mad that he got found out. Said "check out my posts" and got found out as a Fox propagandist.
Bet you never expected anyone to take you up on your offer. Be careful what you ask for.
Musta fell off the fence...again!
No guys..... You've probably drank more in the last 6 hrs than I have in the last 6 years. I watch a little, very little from all news broadcast stations. Everyone one is biased in their news according to their agenda. I primarily look at results and talk to people I see daily. Most are business people and they are afraid of Obama. You're right in saying they just want this guy out of office with as little trouble as possible. They haven't seen anything coming from this administration promoting success for working hard and saving money. They feel their future is insecure with him in office. I also do a tremendous amount of research on anything I hear or read to see if it is true. I'm not mad about anything. I've been looking more at the big picture lately and realize how the whole world is tied together and how little Wall Street is of importance when Europe suffers a real downfall how much it will affect us. And the picture is not pretty. I'm an individual and do not follow any one rule of thumb except Capitalism sprinkled with a little Socialism which I feel is our responsibility to help others out of their unfortunate lives and help them learn to help themselves out of it instead of leading a unfruitful hopeless life for themselves and their children. I don't care for Romney or Obama. We need a John Galt with a heart to lead this country and I don't see one in site.
Mitt Ronmey's take on Wall Street....
Mitt Romney says he wants to talk about the economy in this presidential campaign, including his call to repeal the Dodd-Frank financial regulation law. JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM)'s $2 billion trading loss in risky transactions isn't the sort of conversation he had in mind.

Justice Dept. Drops Case Against Edwards
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Federal prosecutors have moved to drop all charges against John Edwards after his corruption trial ended last month in a deadlocked jury.
A jury in North Carolina acquitted the former presidential candidate last month on one count of accepting illegal campaign contributions. It deadlocked on five other felony counts, resulting in a mistrial on those charges.
A U.S. Justice Department statement on Wednesday said prosecutors will not seek to retry Edwards on the five unresolved counts.
Edwards was accused of masterminding a scheme to use about $1 million in secret payments from two wealthy political donors to hide his pregnant mistress as he sought the White House in 2008.

Does this mean that Edwards could run for President now? I voted for him in primaries.
He did some bad things... were they as bad as little bush? Reagan? Hoover?
Clinton was bad, but he was the best since Kennedy/Johnson..... they had trouble with their zipper sliding down...

That was very good MD... I am sure I can use a few of those quotes..
Doing good MD, I hope you are too.
XXX,
I liked Edwards... well still do... I think he had some good ideas. He was a fighter... I don't think he would have been so quick to bend over and let congress have their way, so boner could say, I got 98% of what I wanted with that $hit eaten grin, that I would love to slap off his face.
That doesn't bother me about John Edwards. You know, trusting a lawyer to tell the truth is like trusting a rattlesnake not to bite. Let's hope the trauma Edwards has been through will make him a better person for it and will do good things the rest of his life. I still wonder why the tax implications didn't play a bigger part in the case.
Over the last 16-20 years, the Republicans have allowed banking regulations to fade away, and the next Wall Street Crash will be the end of Capitalism. When you find ever committee member, less two, with money in their campaign war chest from JP Morgan, and the top Democrat and Republican on the committee receiving money directly from Mr. Dimon, it is only a matter of time until the big crash. Banks and Wall Street run Washington. The TARP Bailout was created by Treasury Secretary Paulson, the ex-CEO of Goldman Sachs. When the next crash comes, and it will, the United States, as we know it, will no longer be the hub of worldwide finance.
Terry we dodged a bullet but they have another one in the chamber we might have a chance if we get total control. But if Obama loses it won't be long after they will and they will pull the trigger. And guess who will be the scapegoat?
I read a lot tonight about the Doomsday of America-But I must take the optimistic view on the things that are to come. In 2007, we learned about the almost drowned state of the American economy. I don't know about anyone else, but I was felling the strain of our economy being pulled tighter and tighter, like a ruberband, being stretched to it's breaking point, since 2000, and just like that a rubberband our economy was stretched so tight it almost collapsed. This didn't just happen overnight, it took years of reckless deregulation, and lack of leadership from our Government to address it, for this to happen. It did not sneak up on the ones who was pleading and yearning for solutions. In 2008, when Obama took office, we finally got a glimpse of the disaster our Country was in. When Bush came out to address the Country about our economic downfall, We were at the peak of dome. It was worse than anyone could have imagined. As America came under new leadership, we were saved from the brink of becoming a Nation of total destruction. . I think we as Americans need to realize just how lucky, blessed, fortunate, or whatever your choice of words are. Now we have another chance to restore America, back to the secure Country it once was. In my opinion, the crying days is over, it's time to look for new ideas on how to avoid this from ever happening to our Country again. Not even half of the story has been told about how pitiful, and hopeless our country was. . While I do realize that we have a long road ahead of us, I am also grateful to know, that at least we have a road to travel on. . If we are to recover our loses, we must first realize, that we can not lose hope by getting in a state of despair, and a spirit of giving up. Now we are faced with the choice on whether we will move forward, or will we give up by electing a person,or, persons who wants to go backward, simply for the same reason that almost destroyed us. "GREED". . As i know it is human nature to always focus on what's wrong in any given situation, It is also human nature to rely on our natural survival skills, to get us out of a bad situation. Now is not the time to look back, to see all the Hell we've came through, Now is the time to look forward, and realize that the way to a better life lies ahead. We are a nation of inventions, and victory. Achieved by never letting the possible, remain impossible. Fight for what you believe in. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
Hope and change and now we must make a STAND so we can move forward!
I admire you optimism Rachel and as of late you have come to say more and voice your opinion. The truth must be known about the past and we know enough. And our President has the right ideas to get us there, and I don't think it would have made one bit of difference if Hillary was prez the Teapublicans would have done the same thing. I hope some of the old ones will split and its looking better as some have had the gumption to do so. They have the money but we have the numbers and I hope Walker is exposed soon so the whole nation will see what lies and deceptions have been played on us all. United We STAND!
Prince--The felling is mutual--I have a trained mind to listen a lot, and speak seldom. As you and I both know, history is often lost in the present. I think our President is experiencing that now. The voices of the right is yelling so loud, but they are accomplishing their goal. They are trying to irritate us into a state of disgust.they are trying to push us to our breaking point. I here a lot of liberals are saying what's the use, no body will here my scream over theirs anyway. But our strength will always lie in the fact that, we know if we come together as one then our beliefs will over power their pointless attempts to keep us silent. It's time to speak up loud and clear, It's time to pull out the history, of not so long ago. History that should be read about, taught on, reflected on, but never, ever to be repeated again.
Indeed Rachel they even deny it ever was their fault...its Obama's I suggest you write the President and let him know the truth needs be told with fierce conviction. He has been a bit flat as of late, and any encouragement he can get from us will do wonders.
I guess you have become more outspoken and I can't call you Princess anymore for one reason. But I still think you kinda look like an Egyptian Princess!******
That's fine--and i won't call u p. for that same reason, I do write the potus often, as a matter of fact i missed my robo call assignment for the congressmen of az last night, i was on the blog. but he won anyway. thanks for your compliments. I really am flattered.--and I must admit you inspired me to vent, when I first got on this blog, i was a troll chaser, but that's not me. So I gave up on that, and started to focus on the things that mattered the most---OUR FUTURE--I do like having fun on here too.
I concur all bitch and no fun would make you a Teapublican!
good night---oxo--***have a good one.***~~~~night everyone.
