I realize that I haven't been very communicative in the past week... I've been doing some heavy thinking, and come to a few conclusions...
I became too involved, too emotionally 'invested', in the Walker-Barrett debacle in Wisconsin... My anger, my frustration, were being caused by my resistance to 'what is', to true reality... I felt like I was shouting obvious facts to the world - Walker is scum, Walker is corrupt, Walker wants to destroy unions and the middle class - and no one was listening...
The fact is, we here on this blog are EXCEPTIONAL... Ed, Rachel, Lawrence, Chris, the Reverend Al are ALL EXCEPTIONAL... We see CLEARLY... We think RATIONALLY and LOGICALLY... We CARE about our fellow travellers on this spinning sphere called Earth... Perhaps, too much...
But, the average human being isn't exceptional... He's average... He's too busy trying to tread water, to survive, to comfort and provide for his family to take the time to THINK about the sharks circling...
He oesn't care what politicians do, as long as they leave him alone... They are all the same to him, corrupt and ambitious, so one is as bad as another...
A sheep sees a sheepdog as the same as a wolf, pushing him around, forcing him to move here, run there... All the sheep cares about is eating the grass... He doesn't care about the REAL wolves out there, hungry and ravenous, waiting to tear out his throat...
We can see the storm on the horizon... The sheep would stand there eating until they get soaked...
There is an old saying... "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID"... The average person is stupid, and all the yelling about what the wolves are doing just annoys them... Then, when the wolves attack, it's PANIC, PANIC, PANIC; then, the wolves go away, and life goes back to eating grass for the survivors - until the next wolf attack...
Average people get the government they vote for... Whether it eats them or not, they get what they vote for... As long as it leaves them alone, they get what they vote for...
Why listen to EXCEPTIONAL people... They'll get what they ask for, what they deserve... All the yelling we do won't help, if they don't want to listen...

I wish I could...
I've suffered two strokes, which left me disabled, with degraded reflexes which meant I can't drive any more... My only income is SSI, which barely makes it from month to month... My nearest relative lives a thousand miles away, on Long Island...
I live fifteen miles from the nearest town of any consequence, which means Y get out of the house once a week for shopping, and that's it... The last time I got to the movie theatre was for the third Twilght flick, and that was because the friend who wanted to see it had broken her leg, and she wanted a fellow handicapped in the wheelchair section...
The area I live in, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, is major redneck territory... I've volunteered to help at the Democrat HQ up here, but when they heard of my difficulty getting there, it was "Well... Don't forget to vote Obama/Biden...."...
If it wasn't for the Internet, I'd be going crazy up here...
