A fire fighter, a policeman and a teacher discuss Mitt Romney's plan to cut their jobs. DNC video.
The Democrats immediately pounced on Mitt Romney's comments about cutting more public sector jobs and, thankfully, aren't letting up.
Fewer of Me, a web video out today from the Democratic National Committee features a firefighter, a teacher and a policeman who criticize Romney.
"Mitt Romney says there should be fewer of me," says Michael, the firefighter. “He wants to cut taxes for people like himself by cutting jobs like mine.”
Romney criticized President Obama on Friday following the president's remark that the private sector "is doing fine."
"He says we need more fireman, more policeman, more teachers," Romney said. "Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It's time for us to cut back on government and help the American people."
Under fire ever since, Romney went on Fox News yesterday to argue that "the federal government doesn't pay for teachers, firefighters or policemen. So obviously that's completely absurd."
What's completely absurd is that the federal government has helped state and local governments meet payrolls for decades now. Romney apparently didn't pick up on that while he was governor of Massachusetts.

Well in all these professions trained professionals matter. Students can not learn in crowded class rooms . Homes and bussiness burn with out enough trained firemen to respond. Crime goes wild with out enough police o keep us safe. But first they are people with jobs and for all his job creation . He would cut jobs and these will be some of the first to go! He would keep the rich from paying taxes that would make these most important services we all use possible. A rich mans house burns as fast as the middle class house does . I would much prefer the States addresses their own over spending problems than see the Federal Government over spend to help them.
