Major healthcare companies say they will stick with provisions in the President's health care law even if the Supreme Court overturns them.
Is it just a major PR stunt?

Then why have the insurance companies spent millions upon millions to stigmatize and develop a negative view of The Affordable Healthcare Act?
I smell a scam somewhere, there always is when republicans are involved.
Obama/Biden 2012
~Christians don't vote for Liars~ maddow.blog mitt's mendacity
So what you are saying is that all insurance companies are owned by republicans?
Trust me. There's money in this for the health insurance companies. They don't do anything for any other reason.
The Nothing Affordable About It Health Care Act is going to be shot down by the SCOUS..
The Federal Government can not force the people to purchase anything.
Go read the Constitution.
In beaded in this monster is the 55% death/estate tax!!! So when you die 55% of your hard earn money will go to the liberals so they can give free health care to crack heads and drug addicts...
What health insurance companies is the ability to sell across states lines...
If socialised health care is so good, why do people come from all over the world to here the United States of American for health care????
You are referring to estate/death taxes and that has nothing to do with Obamacare. So your statement is only partially true. The part of it that is false is that this tax is not embedded in Obamacare.
Unless something changes, as of 2013 any estate worth over 1 million dollars will be taxed at 55 percent with a 1 million dollar exemption. This will happen unless congress acts to either keep the estate taxes where they are (35 percent with a 5.5 million dollar exemption) or decide on something else.
What's noteworthy about your comment that you might not be aware of is that there are a lot of Democrats who are against this estate tax hike.
I honestly don't think it's going to pass.
#2 They don't.
The estate exemption is $5,120,000.00.
they don't what?
Oh never mind. I get what you're saying India.
They don't come to America for health care.
Actually the opposite is true lately. A lot of people are going out of the country because they can't afford to have things done here.

Going abroad for medical treatment is becoming all the rage.
Also important to note that many people are leaving because of FDA over-regulation when it comes to alternative or experimental treatments that are proven to be effective and available in other parts of the world.
And which party filibustered a bill to keep cheaper medicine in Canada from being sold here in the USA? FOS as usual, moron.
All the rage due to the fact it is cheaper not better!!!! and it really is not all the rage ..
Next people in canada come to america everyday for health care....

Oh yes it is, in 2014 the 55% estate tax will take effect...
All mute point as the SCOUS is going to shot the baby down here in the next week or so.
Again your facts are off. This estate tax will take effect in 2013 not 2014 and it is not written into Obamacare.
I believe the Supreme Court will rule mandated health care unconstitutional (because it is.)
I don't like what Obama is doing much either, but you do have to keep your facts straight or it really doesn't help your credibility here.
Sorry but this is a half truth because it depends completely on where you go to get the care.
Yes it is in the HCR and takes effect in 2014...
LOL they were talking about this 55 percent thing as early as 2007. Then it came up again in 2010. Now it's coming up again and I can find no reference that suggests it's part of Health Care Reform.

Ah okay then..... But the estate tax will be 55% in 2014.
And effects all incomes......
But it won't because history shows this will never make it through Congress. Most Republicans and Democrats are against it.
Not the way it's currently proposed. Any estate with a net worth of less than 1 million will be exempt from this tax.
Look I'm not disagreeing with you that it's wrong. I'm against all forms of federal taxation across the board.
Where we disagree is what this tax is and is not.
1st you should know congres is both the senate & house.
Next give me the bill number for this tax law you talk about so I can go read it.
I seem not to be able to fine on either the senate web nor the house web site.
No sh@t.
The reason you can't find any bills that outline this is because it's part of the the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001. One of the provisions of this was sunsetting, or reverting to the provisions that were in effect before it was passed, on January 1, 2011. These provisions were extended for an extra two years under the 2010 tax act.
So once again, this has nothing, zero to do with Obamacare. If congress does nothing, the rates and exemptions will revert back to what they were before the legislation in 2001 was passed. Not coincidentally it's 55 percent/1 million dollar exemption.
There are two bills currently proposing to repeal the death tax. One in the house and one in the senate. One is bipartisan.
S 2242 and HR 1259

Notice I said "Estate" tax...
I let you show the death tax of which you talk.
Now, try to understand the 55% "Estate" tax is in the HCR.
Next, learn the differance between "Estate" & "Death" tax laws...
LOL there is no difference whatsoever. Death tax is a pejorative term for Estate tax. They mean exactly the same thing.
Estate tax refers to the taxable estate of a deceased person, hence the name death tax.
oh stupida you just keep making stupida comments everyday don't you. you are a very negative, and bigoted person who knows nothing about healthcare. free healthcare is not just for crackheads or drug addicts. it's also for stupid people like you. please take your comments to the repukes who think like you
Billie, one thing about it, you just can't fix stupid. And stupida claims to be a Viet Nam Vet. I highly doubt it. I was there 3 times and know of no Nam vet that would clain someone they know nothing about is "unAmerican, not in America, not from America." I doubt stupida is American.
Maybe Stupid got a head wound while he was in Nam. Maybe that explains his delusions.

Have my Fl 215....
I have some swamp land in my backyard for sale if someone believes this bull. The insurance companies are just playing a shell game with the public. Their ONLY focus is PROFIT and with these companies it is usually at a great cost to the public.
It's probably something like, they will keep a kid on the parents policy as long as he doesn't have a pre-existing condition. There has to be some kind of catch somewhere. They are not know for doing anything out of the goodness of their heart.
I was there 3 times
You did 3 tours????? yea sure.....LOL
