Any one that doesn't believe Public Servants are the problem needs to rethink the situation we are in and who is responsible for it. Obama, Reid and all the rest of the members of the Senate and the House are public servants, and they are all responsible. Now if you are referring to Government Employees as "Public Servants" I think you are wrong there, they are "Self Serving". Do you think the Cop that writes you that ticket for talking on the cell phone is doing it because he cares about your welfare, it is all about generating money for the Government. What about the teacher that passes the kid that can't read at an appropriate grade level, is he or she concerned about the student or their own best interests. Fire them all from the President on down.

Can't see it 2ez, as a teacher for years, I know how much I gave of my life up to children and education. My husband, worked for the state, keeping oil, gas and mineral companies financially honest. I see policemen, much as I see most Navy, Army, etc. Service men as taking care of the citizens. I don't want a refund for any taxes, fees etc. that I have paid over the years or in the future to keep this going. Sorry, you want the koch brothers and some low life running this country and lowering standards.
Once they have ravaged America, they will just take their cash and move to China or some where else. Maybe their own little islands.

The only reason the Fat cats and the Repub-Thugs want it overturned is because the Insurance companies can continue to charge outrageous premiums for health care, and throw you out of the pool for pre-existing conditions. Not to mention the fact that children can remain covered on their parents ins. until the age 26. -

@--just---the easiest way to do health reform, in my opinion, is to let all Americans who are uninsured opt in to the health care reform. those who would like to, and that would solve the issue. To the ones who don't want it, well just let them continue to be treated like a third world citizen when they go to the E.R. or hospital. People who are uninsured get treated very differently, from insured people anyway. I have seen people lying on stretchers of an E.R. because of no insurance. As for me I'd rather insure myself over my car, {which is mandatory}. But if people want to act crazy just because It was under President Obama's watch when healthcare was finally available for everyone, then have at it. I'm insured, I just have sympathy for the ones who are not. I know how high hospital, and Dr. care bills are. but if this great thing is not so great for some, then let them reap the benefits of what not having health care brings on.

It will be the same as Car ins. Low rate companies popping up everywhere to get your money, and when you need them, that's when they pull out the fine print on you. Have to agree with you Rachael, people have not investigated and understood the benefits of the Health Care Law, and they listen to talk show hosts and others who are already insured, those people have no interest in the uninsured, I am speaking from an Independent point of view...
Buying Health Insurance across State Lines will not only be a "Race to the Bottom" their would be a high deductible as well as inferior quality, these "Pop up" so called health insurance companies could easily set up their "Scams" and close up shop.."No Thank you."

Yes I do believe that Mitt Romney believe that teachers, policemen and fire fighters are the problem. I can not believe that Romney has such disrespect for these hard working real Americans. I was listening to my local news and it was reporting were a policemen were call to a home where it seem a man was holding his wife hostage, well that cop was shot and kill. I see those fire fighters out there fighting the wild fire, and I've seen teachers who gives their heart to teaching their students, who goes way beyond the call. Then to hear Mitt Romney talk as if people like these people aren't real Americans. It was a slap in the face to people who love this country, who are proud real Americans
A Teacher builds lives. A Policemen protects lives. A Fireman saves lives. Mitt Romney ruins lives of ordinary people. Someone need to remind Mitt that the teachers, policemen, fire fighters didn't drive us into a ditch, GOP elists economics did. The firemen went into those twin towers on 9/11, they didn't dodge their duty like Mitt Romney dodge the draft. So who really is the real Americans, those who risk their lives for people everyday, or someone who ran to France to keep from fighting for his country.

Seriously, Look at what WE had to go through just to get what Many take for granted, I don't see where Corporation's came up with these to take care of Worker's, And I am baffled WHY alot of People think that Corp. I will say there are alot of Great company's that do right by the Worker, But why are the BILLION Dollar Company's so unwilling to do the same? SARGE - I live in WASHINGTON state and over here we have a state office for LABOR & INDUSTRIES which does the same as a union but instead it's the state government they have to contend with or else they face big fines.I kind of have a connection with L & I courtesy of a friend of mine works there as an investigator and if anything goes wrong or doesn't look right on a job,I just inform him and he doesn't tell them who/where they got their information from.At one time,I put in a complaint to L&I about a past employer ripping everyone off through the deductions they pulled out of your paycheck and pocketing the money.To put it shortly,the company ended up going $2.5 million in the hole all because of 1 person (me).I laughed when I heard about because I questioned them about it when I got my first paycheck and the numbers didn't look right.But since everyone else had the same amount pulled out,I didn't think nothing about it until I was unemployed (the job was a seasonal job where I worked 6 months out of the year) and a person at the local unemployment office informed me that they took too much out on deductions.If it wasn't for that,I wouldn't have known about it nor would have the habit of checking the amount pulled out on deductions to this day.

Morning Tom...there needs to be a point of clarificaiton here...what is going on in Europe is completely different than anything being proposed by Cantor, et al, over here. Europe is engaging in austerity by cutting spending, but RAISING taxes...thats a deadly combination. you cripple people in that way. what Ryan, Cantor, are proposing is a cut in spending, but also a cut in taxes. this puts more revenue in the hands of small businesses and individuals. it broadens the tax base, more people pay in, and the federal revenue increrases. combine that with a cut in spending, and THAT'S how you fix the problem.
Spain's "Green" economy actions are what got them to 20% unemployment...the Eurozone is done...and many of the countries that institute government health care programs are losing them...or will need to because of costs of maintaining them.
And we get the trickle down nonsense from catt. Here is a clue catt you can cut from now to dooms day and all you are doing is destroying the economy why because trickle does not create jobs nor does the money trickle. The economy works by people buying the products they make. You tea bagging republicans just can't seem to get past the Reagan lies.

Yes. If Romney gets in the Whitehouse, more illegal wars will be started, unemployment will be 99% because Romney will start outsourcing every job around, people will be as dumb as rocks as the Dept of Education will be eliminated, and everyone but the rich will live in cardboard boxes and use leaches for health care since they cannot afford houses or health insurance. And the only jobs around will be grave diggers or mad scientists.

I want my public employees ( I don't like the word "servants") to be held to a very high standard, but to say we don't need them is beyond ridiculous. The stakes in education couldn't be higher. A house cleaning at EVERY level is warranted, but you clean a house, not destroy it. Painting everything with a broad brush doesn't get it.
I would agree but lets start at the top first at to make a example of good faith and see just how far they will go.
