Brand new ad style videos use the candidates words against them after President Barack Obama declared the economy was "fine" - and Mitt Romney made comments that American's doesn't need more fireman, policemen or teachers. MSNBC political analyst Richard Wolffe, USA Today's Jackie Kucinich and fmr Gov. and Romney supporter John Sununu discuss.
Ed is off this week, but Michael Eric Dyson is putting together a busy program for tonight.
Mitt Romney surrogate John Sununu says there’s "wisdom" in his candidate’s comment that the nation doesn’t need any more teachers, police and firefighters.
But that’s not just bad politics, it’s bad policy.
E.J. Dionne, a Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution and Washington Post columnist, will join Michael for that.
Darrell Issa's political witch hunt turns into a contempt hearing for Attorney General Eric Holder. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-District of Columbia) will refute Issa's claims tonight.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is trying to save "stop and frisk" even though it's backers fully admit that it's racial profiling. Michael will hear from both sides tonight, with Donna Lieberman, Executive Director of the New York Civil Liberties Union, and Heather MacDonald, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and author (“Are Cops Racist?”).
The U.S. Supreme Court refuses to take the Alan Keyes birther case. Why won’t this issue just die?
Michael will ask tonight’s panel, including Armstrong Williams, radio and television talk show host, Keli Goff, author (“The GQ Candidate”) and Joy Reid, Managing Editor of TheGrio.com, MSNBC Contributor.
Three major health insurers vow to keep key provisions of the president's health care law, even if the Supreme Court overturns the law. Bait and switch?
And in the Big Finish, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush says there’d be no place for his father, or Ronald Reagan, in today’s radical Republican Party. Joan Walsh, Salon’s Editor at Large joins Michael to discuss that and much more.

TEA Partiers don't care about the Truth.
They simply want to see Obama fall.
Don't care about his birthplace or his youth;
They hate the fact that he exists at all.
They think the poor are filthy, lazy blighters
Who don't deserve to live upon the dole,
And unions - teachers, cops and firefighters -
Have picking rich men's pockets as their goal.
Their propaganda machine, known as FOX,
Thrives on the fuel of lies and innuendo.
They'd love to open up Pandora's Box,
And watch the world collapse in cruel crescendo.
The Golden Rule they live by is for fools.
"Whoever has the Gold, he makes the Rules."
David well said.
I'll tell you its a Liberal trick to get them to talk about JOBS...Who walked away from the JOBS bill again? Obama plays Chess Tea Party Plays Twister.Mr. Boehner when are you gonna wake up and stop drinking the Tea?
He'll keep drinking the Tea as long as he thinks he can keep his job. What he doesn't realize is, if he keeps drinking the Tea, WE will see to it that he doesn't have a job!
But the Almighty Obama has declared that the private sector is doing just fine.
We don't need any jobs there......
Haaaaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaaaa....
I wonder how many Libs fell for this line of happy horse@!$%#....
I know Ed fell for it....
But that goes without saying.
Sorry but you are full of elephant @!$%#. Just keep on clicking your heels together while repeating I believe in Reagan and I am sure that your life will get much better until the doctor ups your medication level to get you out of your delusional state of mind.
Did he SAY we don't need any more jobs in the private sector or did you pull that out of the voices in your head? If you want to stop hearing those voices, turn off Fox/Beck/Limpnuts. Or are you afraid to think for yourself because you might find the batteries are dead?
Sorry AR, but the private sector is doing just fine. The last time I heard the private sector which is business, they had 2.5 trillion dollars stashed away. If that's not doing fine i'll eat my hat. What you and other non-thinkers didn't do is listen to the rest of his speech about the hugh loss of public jobs that kept the unemployment numbers up.
For which you can thank the Repub governors. Every time we make some headway in the private sector, the R governors cut thousands of public sector jobs and then yell at Obama about high unemployment! My God, they have NO shame whatsoever. They have no respect for the hard working people of this country either. The Reps think they can yank us around and play with people's lives and no one will notice?? I hope everyone remembers what they have done in Nov and votes accordingly.
Sununu is correct. once there is no minimum wage along with no child labor laws, why do your kids need to go to school? so who needs teachers?
heck they can live in card board boxes and slide right into a new one fresh from the elite's trash dumps if they catch on fire.....who needs fire fighters for the public?
if kids get caught stealing food due to hunger, the gated elite security will be marshaled to collect them and place them in private prisons.....who needs cops?
We send our kids to school now and they come out dumb as dirt.
Why are kids stealing food our food stamp President has more people on food stamps then ever before.....
Don't you Libs pay attention to some other news sources then MSNBC....
tried foxy a couple of times but man even a maggot would gag on that stuff..........howdy!
Never mind the fact that since 1970 at least the GOP has waged war on education and turned the entire countries education books over to a committee in Texas who decide what goes into educational books and what isn't allowed in them, like real information
Sununu acts like we don't understand English. Mitty boy didn't say 'specific areas have lower populations and need fewer teachers" I'm really sick of seeing right wing 'experts' following up blunderbuss comments and lies with nuanced detailed 'interpretations' that are NOT what the candidate said. We saw this during the Bush years. He could go out and say something that makes Sarah Palin look like a genius, and that would be followed by 'the President said..."followed by something that sounds like it was written by a round table of Heritage Foundation operatives. At the same time, if Obama says something intelligent, and in complete sentences, as he often does, the fright wing media instantly says "oh look, he said that word instead of this one, he said America has been a world leader but he didn't say 'exceptionalist', he said God bless America, but we all KNOW he's an android/commie/socialist/atheist/Muslim who was born as part of a plot hatched by Sol Alinsky"
When are we going to have a political campaign where we lock the candidates in a room and don't let them out until they tell the truth, and their mouthpieces don't get free air time to spew their nonsense?
Liberal media my left....anyway, what's with giving that right wing shill Sununu so much air time, then NOT having someone who is an Obama supporter on afterward? Are you trying too hard to NOT look liberal?
John Sununu is nothing but a slimy, little slug. He always has been and he always will be. He has never said anything worth listening to.
