As much as I would like to stick up for the players you have to believe that anyone especially someone with a college education would know that football can carry with it severe and lasting head injuries. If I was the judge hearing this case I would throw it out.
Don't get me wrong I feel for the players with head injuries but in no way shape or form did they not know lasting head trauma could exist. I played football in high school and got my bell wrong and it lasted for months so I can't believe professional football players don't understand that....
You seem to be having some of the effects of the impacts....
You would be right "xxx ooo" I had a stroke 10 years ago that has had some lasting effects. Do you feel better now? Does it make you feel better to belittle someone?
Soooo What ?? Who Gives a Ratts A$$ Anyway ??? After All - It Is Just Another Multi-Million/Billion Dollar Franchise for the Disgustingly Wealthy !!!!! They Do NOT Give A Damn as to What Happens to the Million Dollar Players - Because They Are Making Much Much More Money - and That IS ALL That They Care About -- Ridiculous !!!!!
I Mean - There Is NO Difference between this and the War Mongers That Send OUR Kids Off to War ------ They Do It For The MONEY - and They Do Not Give a Damn as To What Happens to the Fallen !! They Will Just Turn And Look Away - as Their Pockets/Wallets are Filled and Over-Stuffed !!!!!! Ridiculous !!!! and Yet - Many Support This Crap - Blindly !!!! OMG !!!!
Another utter failure of a union to protect it's own members for which they are organized and an example of wealthy government subsidized corporation having it's way with employees, however compensated the employee may be.
lets face the facts unions are like newspapers land lines post office don't need anymore
Its no different than what the tobacco companies did for years. Also the games referees have been replaced by scabs who are not trained in looking for potentially injuries which could have long term effects. Big money once again attempting to disregard and oppress the things that would protect the employee and just ensure more money to the top.
Come to North Dakota and get a JOB in the oil patch! Get RICH LIKE LIKE A KING!!! HUH?

I honestly CAN NOT FEEL SORRY for the rich asses. First of all, the money they get paid ( and this goes for all sports) is obscene with what's going on all around us. They know about the risks involved and yet choose to play anyway that's on them. The nfl and theplayers just need to grow up and quit whinning.
At least their widows and children might be well taken care of if they've had enough sense to sock it away. This is after Alzheimers has taken over so completely, they don't know their own name. Anybody that continues , or starts playing football has to be nuts or greedy.
Brats, beer and football. Our nation is consumed with the sport of Football and many of the players start young. Way back in Biddy League and many continue to play through High school and college. Many are thrilled to death to play NFL. The beating they take on the field has to take its toll. But for the NFL to deliberately with hold this information is awful. Brain damage is not worth any ring or Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
