Senator Bill Nelson and other lawmakers are outraged at what Republican Governor Rick Scott is doing with his so-called voter purge. Ed Schultz talks to Mike Ertel, supervisor of elections for Seminole County, Florida, and Broward County Democratic Party Chairman Mitchell Ceasar about the voter purge.
Republicans know Mitt Romney can’t win without Florida, so they're intensifying their efforts to steal the election. But even they now admit their voter purging system is flawed and election supervisors are revolting against the governor!
Tonight, Ed will have reaction and analysis with Eugene Robinson, MSNBC Analyst and Associate Editor and Pulitzer Prize winning Columnist for The Washington Post.
In Wisconsin, former President Bill Clinton will campaign for Democrats and Republicans begin to crack with bogus claims of voter fraud. Joan Walsh, Salon’s Editor at Large, and Ruth Conniff, Political Editor of The Progressive Magazine, will have the latest.
John Edwards gets emotional after he dodges a bullet in his campaign finance trial. Ed will check in with Mike Papantonio, host of "The Ring of Fire" radio show, to find out what’s next for the former Democratic star.
Rich Republican donors are whining about all the attention they're getting trying to defeat President Obama. But Ed will wipe their nose and straighten them out with the big panel of of Ilyse Hogue of The Nation, Catherine Crier, author and journalist, and Mark Simone, radio talk show host.
Ed will also expose the Romney campaign’s hypocrisy when it comes to talking about job creation.
And in the Big Finish, Mitt Romney is trying to hide the Republican war on the poor. The dynamic duo of Dr. Cornel West, Professor in the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University, and Tavis Smiley, co-host of Smiley and West and author (“The Rich and The Rest of Us: A Poverty Manifesto”), will look at the politics of poverty.

already excusing your loss in November
Sorry max we are not going to sit this one out. Funny how just 2 months ago you were 100% with Rick Man on Dog guy until your master told you to climb on board the Mittens hooker brigade. This is rather amusing that you now support the person you hated more then you hate democrats. What a joke you are.
Ms Wasserman=Schultz finally came to Wisconsin yesterday to campaign but she couldn't get the correct names mixing first names with a different candidate's last name (essentially creating a new person). guess that shows how much she cares about or is concerned about the recall of scottie. even the white house is not helping. Bill Clinton will make to Milwaukee tomorrow at least. No one in the Justice Dept or White House is addressing the power grab/voter suppression in Florida. Does the democratic party even care about US?????
What the Frack is big Head Ed screaming about now?????
why don't you just not WATCH if you can't stand it?
Election fraud by Florida election officials.
Kathy~ I hope they care about WI and all the rest of us Dems. They'd better care if they want to stay in the White House. The rest of us rank and file Dems are with you all the way. After all the signatures you got, to get Scotty out of there, I can't believe they'd let him stay. Stay strong and positive!
Bubba is heading to WI now....
Shows how dire the situation is....
The Libs thought that Walker was history...
Not so fast ....
Democrats are weak before of their failed policies and cowardice; failing to make the difficult, but best decisions for their citizens. This is what happens when you pander vs. being leaders. Bye bye! They keep Bill Clinton in a glass case with a sign, "Break in case of Emergency". lol Funny thing is the Obama's have broken that glass a few times. You can't polish a turd - bad Democratic policies.
Well you're name says it all. Who ARE you gonna blame if the Republicans win and strip ALL your rights? Obama? After whining and sniveling about failed policies for all these years? But then you'll blame them? Get your head out.
He has delusions that he will make it to that golden handout that insane doddering old fool promised him in 1979 and will be excluded from the GOP purges of safety nets. He believes in fairy tales told to him by the GOP.
Those individuals who are always calling Democrats names, why? The Republicans are buying elections through the country and are trying to buy the White House. What exactly are they expecting in return - free labor - no safety codes - no EPA regulations so they can pollute the water you drink and air you breathe? Or more tax breaks because they need more money - that Corporate Welfare just is not enough. And to add insult to injury these Constitutional Scholars are fixing the election by denying citizens their Constitutional Right to vote. Do not bother with the Voter Fraud BS because the only person convicted of Voter Fraud recently is a Republican and has just been sentenced to one year house arrest. Perhaps you remember the former Republican President Bush who did a 5 year investigation into voter fraud and found 86 cases. Upon further investigation by Prosecutors and others most of those were found to be legitimate errors. Do not tell me that you need a photo ID to board a plane, or drive a car, or open a bank account - they are not Constitutional Rights they are privileges.
Republican Party keeps saying they are not Racist, perhaps they can explain why at CPAC this year they had representatives from White Supramacists Group speak and would not allow representives from the Gay and Lesbian community to speak. Think Progress had the following article posted today: White
Supremacist With Ties To Neo-Nazi Groups Elected To Pennsylvania County GOP
Committee. By Adam Peck on May 31, 2012 at 2:40 pm
MJB, as bad as Walker is and he wins re-election then I think the
Democratic party is history. That will only encourage the Republicans to spent more money to defeat Obama. After they take over the Govenment agin we are jhust seeing the tip of the iceberg on what we are seeing now. Even whaco's like Whako might be saying ;what have we done; I remember back in the 20's and 30's what thyhe Goverment and big business thought of the workers and I can also see it coming backi to that.
I am very concerned that the GOP governor here in PA, who helped push through the new voter ID laws, that may well influence the election result, not succeed in limiting the ability of all American citizens to vote!
It seems, at least to them, that the only way they can win the Presidency is by using these reprehensible cheating tactics! The actual amount of in-person voting fraud is x<<1% and for that they are compelling all of us, senior citizens, folks who live far from the voter registration offices, and (ESPECIALLY) people of color and the disabled to have to jump through hoops in order to prove that we are, indeed eligible to vote?!?! The major source of voter fraud in this country seems to be the GOP attempting to convince the people that this fraud even exists at all! Governing by fear? That is not how it should be!
Hey Ed? I can answer the question that Mark Simone posed...'why can't we show voter ID to VOTE but I have to show it in this building?' BECAUSE NYC was attacked on 9/11 MORON and the companies are taking measures to protect you and the employees. So no. 200 years of voting vs 12 years of security...it doesn't add up. Show the NUMBERS or shut up...and har har har look at Cooke County doesn't count.
Well you do have to have some id to vote that's why people actually have to register and after one registers guess what you get a voter registration card! Surprising I know so this idea some on the left are too lacking in skull power to get that you have to show nothing is false. Wake up folks, you're falling for their half assed tactics?
Now also not everyone has a right to enter the studio for their citizenship, voting clearly is not a similar circumstance. Why is it that no one ever can answer the where the numbers question curious isn't it since apparently it's so prevalent....lol....
What a pathetic joke. What the right is for is not having to show id to enter the studio to use that example it's to have to show id and have a dna scan. That's much more like what they are for with these "you must now show id that no one before has had to show to vote laws".
Where's the fraud? I know the conservatives stopped believing in science but I didn't know they stopped believing in math too
CC...Most polls do not require that you show a voter registration card in order to vote. All you have to do is walk up and give a name and address...it does not have to even be yours...just pick one and go...
the pathetic joke is the left who is truly not interested in protecting the integrity of the right to one vote by US citizens.
Mego, you show the numbers or shut up
To Kathy-3666212,
The US Justice Dept. just blocked GOP voter repression efforts in FL as biased.
Evelyn Gajowski
The governor of Florida is just as corrupt an ackjass as Mutt Robme. But that is OK for Mutt. What is this country coming to. You have to kiss Mutt's tailend and the governor's sorry horrible self. And Wisconsin is no better right now. Boy these republithug governors are a pain in the sitting room.
I hate to see what this country is going to be at the time my great-grandson and great-granddaughters get to voting age. There will be a whole bunch of republithug storm troopers with automatics telling them how the republithugs order them to vote.
Oh, they are already in the thick of things? That figures.
Great to see that the Dems have packed it in with Wisconsin and are now whining about voter suppression in FL. Hilarious!
glad to see confirmation that the GOP supports denying citizens the right to vote by defending the most hated governor in the country
even more funny is the DOJ ordering Scott to suspend his little list because it breaks the rules
Florida, 3rd largest in population, over 19 million.
No State Income Tax.
Voter ID law for over 20 years.
Number 1 vacation destination in the world.
As we laugh at the over weight no neck muscle head failed athlete on TV that scrapes the bottom of the barrel looking for ratings, one has to ask ed, when are you going to put a person on your show that has one shared of credibility?
Next bring your fat azz to Florida, do your show from here ed...
Oh wait, no unoins to foot the bill, never mind.
Stupidita - don't watch the show.. Free country. Oh - please with the Voter ID for 20 years - so you have been aSS backwards for 20 years. Here is an example: Your hero Governor says that Water Guns can not be brought to the Convention - but hey if you own them you can come pack-in your guns. You people are so wrapped up with your 2nd Amendment Right to own guns, but you have no respect for people's Constitutional Right to Vote. Men and Women have died protecting that right and you people use the Constitution to wipe you a$$ with it or cleaning your guns with it. By the way my husband owns guns and is licensed to carry a concealed weapon, but does not strap on a gun to go to Church or the library or Target or the Grocery store.
My father worked on the Twin Towers and it was unions that kept those men safe, made sure they compensated fairly for an 8 hour day, made sure they earned enough to take care of their families - so get over yourself.
Wow Lorr, barely a few coherent thoughts there. If your father was in a union, then he didn't work an 8 hour day.
I am sorry I was a kid and did not look at his time sheet - but 7 to 3 = 8 hours but hey You would not know a coherent thought if it bit you on your a$$. Your post name believe nothing u read - is that why you do not Respect the Constitutional Right to Vote? You do not believe what you read?
Stupidita - don't watch the show
According to ed only the most intelligent people watch his show.
So me a card toting MENSA human I thought I would join the rest of my peers..
