The NRA is out with a new ad that distorts Tom Barrett's record on Gun control, but Ed Schultz sets the record straight.
"Their commercial is a flat out lie,” said Ed Schultz. “Barrett never voted to ban deer rifles. He voted to ban 19 semi-automatic assault style weapons,” including assault rifles with grenade launchers!

A Governor Barrett would carry on the repressive legacy of Governor Jim Doyle, resisting concealed carry for self-defense. His provisions that take aim at gun owners in Milwaukee are also sure to follow him into the campaign season. And Tom Barrett's recognition by the NRA is certain to reach the eyes and ears of Wisconsin voters who value 2nd Amendment rights. He does not support concealed carry in Wisconsin.
Whine whine whine.
The truth will set you free, or in your case out the back door so you can run around the back yard.
Well then tell the mods who you are a re reg then and the truth shall set you free again.
Just so all you liberals understand, some "assault" rifles come with a magazine block that only allows 3 rounds to be loaded into the magazine making it a legal rifle to hunt with.
Next go read the 2nd amendment..
I thought the Left was pissed about Pub. Ser. Unions. Then I thought the Left was concerned about cutting pub. services. Then I thought the Left was concerned about "Perjury" somethings, years ago. BUT: I was wrong--The Left has been concerned about Guns this whole time. Perhaps a better media plan, next time--Ya think?

With the count of the official job count not finished until June 29th and only 5% have been counted its far from the truth and Walker is grasping at straw. The FACTS not FOX

Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker leads Democratic challenger Tom Barrett 50 percent to 44 percent, according to a poll released ahead of the state's high-profile recall election Tuesday. The independent Marquette University Law School telephone survey released Wednesday surveyed 720 registered voters and had a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points. Among the 600 likely voters in that survey, Walker led 52 percent to 45 percent, with a margin of error of roughly 4 percent. The numbers remain essentially the same compared to the school's poll two weeks ago. An averaging of polls by the Real Clear Politics website has Walker leading Barrett 51 percent to 44.4 percent.
So...the well armed militia that is referenced in the 2nd amendment is to protect against the hordes of blood thirsty deer in the Wisconsin wilderness?! I had no idea! Good thing we have AK-47's to charge into the woods and take care of this menace! You can stand behind the 2nd amendment all you want, but if you need a semi-automatic assault rifle to kill a deer, then you have no business in the woods in the first place. This so-called issue is just smoke and mirrors to distract from the fact that Walker is a poison to this state, auctioning it off to the highest bidder, with no concern for the non-corporate people of Wisconsin. You can have your guns, and the sense of manhood they give you, just don't come into the woods blasting away at Bambi and claim its a second amendment issue. Use a blot action or shot gun like a real man.
Let me remind those "2nd amendment is the only amendment" righties that it was the Bush/Cheney Administration lackeys who took away law abiding citizens' guns in New Orleans during the Katrina disaster. If you don't believe me, just ask NRA boss Wayne LaPierre. If you value your hunting rights in Wisconsin, you'd better support Barrett because of two of Walker's hirees/appointees. One of them, Kroll, wants to privatize public hunting lands and the other, Gunderson, has tried to privatize trout streams, rivers and access to these rivers and streams. Kroll is Walker's "Deer Czar" and Gunderson is Executive Assistant to DNR boss, Cathy Stepp.
