Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Implicated in Criminal Complaint Against Aides

A recall from his position as Wisconsin's governor could ultimately be the least of Gov. Scott Walker's worries, if a criminal complaint quietly moving forward in the Badger State court system continues on its current trajectory. At the moment, Walker seems to be at the bottom of a mountain where an avalanche is just beginning to roll.

A 51-page criminal complaint [PDF] (the "Rindfleisch complaint"), which formally charges Kelly M. Rindfleisch with four felony counts of misconduct in public office, contains factual allegations which implicate a number of individuals, listed as "interested parties," including WI's controversial Republican Governor, in a wide-reaching criminal conspiracy to misuse public employees and resources for partisan political gain.

While that appellate ruling may serve to help expedite Walker's potential removal from office via the ballot box, a recall could ultimate prove to be less of a concern to the embattled, right-wing governor than the criminal case steadily moving forward in Milwaukee.

The factual body of the Rindfleisch complaint suggests that prosecutors are painstakingly examining evidence that may well place Walker at the center of a criminal conspiracy to illegally utilize employees within the Milwaukee County Executive Office to engage in fundraising and campaign activities on behalf of the Friends of Scott Walker and others during office hours at the expense of Milwaukee taxpayers.

Each violation of the relevant WI criminal statutes at issue in the matter carries with it a potential imprisonment of up to 3.5 years. Politicians are not always perfect people and most of us do not vote for someone based on their personal life, they are elected to represent their constituents and for the overall betterment of the U.S. in general. Ford was Nixon's VP. He got promoted automatically when Nixon resigned; he wasn't elected to a term, so he never "ran" for anything until he LOST in the next election. Kind of hard for people who do not live in Wisconsin to actually see what Walker has done to this state. I live in a rural area. Last week an ad from the NRA played on a local radio station. The ad claimed that if Barrett was elected he would take away the deer hunter's hunting rifles. Not a grain of truth to it. Unfortunately, many of our local hunters and elderly along with the uneducated will believe this to be true. Fear mongering anyone?? The recall started with the unions/collective bargaining issue. Since then, other issues have come up so it is not only about the 1 issue. By the way, my husband is in a private union. Thanks to Walker's union bashing there are talks that the private union employees will be taking more than a few dollars an hour cut when the new contracts are negotiated. I guess that can be called trickle down!!!!!!!!! Quit the union bashing!! The union has provided our family a decent living wage as well as good health insurance and a pension.

The supreme court is a supposedly impartial court which was appointed by one party or the other, it is not supposed to make law, it is there to interpret the written law. Recalls are a movement by the people when they believe a mistake has been made in the voting process. Try not to confuse the two.

If Fox News viewers want to be informed about current events, they might as well turn off the TV.

A poll released by Fairleigh Dickinson University on Monday found that people who get their news from Fox News know significantly less about news both in the U.S. and the world than people who watch no news at all.

In a survey of 612 New Jersey natives, Fox News fans flunked questions about Egypt and Syria when compared with people who don't watch the news. Fox viewers were 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians toppled their government and 6 points less likely to be aware that Syrians have not yet overthrown theirs.

Fox News shoutmaster Bill O'Reilly recently said the ebb and flow of the tides is something science can't explain. All theological and religious arguments aside, we of course know precisely why tides exist - the moon. So naturally, that lead O'Reilly to ask the most important question in history - HOW DID THE MOON GET THERE?

Now, we don't have a 100% accurate answer for that. The prevailing hypothesis says the moon could be a big ol' chunk of Earth that was torn away by a massive impact millions of years ago. Or it could have been plucked from God's Galaxy Garden and placed there just so wolves would have something to yell at. We can debate it forever. But part of O'Reilly's argument is that the moon is unique to Earth, and therefore special. To further the point, he asks "how come Mars doesn't have that?"

Having said that J-3, I'll admit you have a point with this Barrett guy.
