Admittedly not every Republican is a racist, but enough of them are that the rest who aren't are too scared sh*tless to stand up and tell them off. Unfortunately, there are just too many who are distressed that a black man is in the "white" house, and no amount of lying is too much to defeat him.
Of course they will never condemn the stupid talk that comes from the mouths of birthers. In fact, they encourage it with a wink, wink. They can't win the election by their policy and record, so they'll grasp at whatever straws they can.
I agree with Louis David. All the Romney lived in Mexico. His Grandfather wanted around 6 wives. So he moved to Mexico.

Why would they? Its easier to let "unaffiliated" republicans say what they really think without the major controversy. They make racist and bigoted comments about a real american citizen just because he's not the same color as them.

The Republican party is the party of hate. They are the unAmerican ones. They will never change and condemn the language of the birthers and the extremists of the GOP. I think they should be sued for slander. They should all be voted out of office. Remember how hateful they were when Clinton was president? They spent millions of dollars and many years trying to find out negative things about him. They persecuted him too and kept him distracted from fully performing his duties. The Republicans need to be booted out of office of every level of government.

During the 90's I lived in London and was asked constantly by my English friends and neighbors if they meaning the republicans would be successful in impeaching Clinton I was so certain the answer was no, but I was wrong then when he was 'censured' by the Senate which technically made the impeachment a waste of time and money.
That reminds me whenever Democrats want to have a special election republicans keep reminding people of the 'waste' of taxpayer funds, how about when they DEMAND recalls like in California in 2003 - all of a sudden those taxpayer funds aren't wasted...
They are willing to say anything to make sure he is not reelected, and they started from day one

I am also of German descent but I am 100% American as in United States! I am also 100% Democrat and would love to see Obama or the Dems in lieu of O go after gop for slander. I agree with almost every single post but let us not sink to the level of those below level intelligence (sorry to those legit. below average people). And all are right to question citizenship of Romney. The Constitution requires that to run for the presidency, one must be born on US soil! Mexico is on North American soil but not on Us soil!!!!!!!!
