Romney care only for money for himself, his children and his friends. There is a reason why he had a reception only for the 1% where he told them he was going to be on their side. Talk about class warfare. He already took sides.

What the GOP base does not understand is that Democrats are not against Bain capital. Bain capital is not running for president. We are against the vulture capitalism, Romney has been married too and is defending. The record he has is of causing poverty to thousands of workers. Without taking in consideration the effects that had on people. Sure, he made profits for the stock holders and CEOs but the poverty he caused is more significant because those companies were already making money for themselves. The people only had one job to go to and take care of their families. If that is the kind of capitalism he is going to promote then the country will do better without him.

Capitalism is good as long as it is practiced responsibly. Like alcohol, which is good, if you drink and drive you can create havoc. You have to consume alcohol responsibly. Otherwise Capitalism becomes something used by the wicked to create evil or financial persecution.

I hope you are feeling better. But the Rehnquist supreme court ruled under Regan that a corporation has a 'right' to make a profit, not a 'privilege' but a right. Then came this Citizens United which was something the founding fathers worked very hard to prevent - money taking over an election. They worked very hard to see to it that poor people were represented as well as the wealthy.

Good point! I think maybe Cory Booker said absolutely the wrong thing that we should use his record and the fact that Flip Robme has created a mere 100,000 jobs. Remember Bush was a 'businessman' and I use that term 'loosely' because all of his oil companies went out of business drilling dry holes - and during the Bush administration we lost 7 million jobs a year. Imagine what we would get if Flip Robme took over...

Hi right back at you DScully. I had surgery and I am getting better . I am so glad I watched Rachael with Mayor Cory Booker. It was hard for me to think this was the same man who could of died in the fire he went into to save a person. He never even thought about putting himself in Danger. I don't know what to think of Mr Booker. It does seem strange that he wouldn't realize how the GOP would pick up on those remarks and run with them. An comparing the Jeremiah Wright ad with the Bain bankrupted our company and tossed us out of jobs... come on?! Rachael's right... Booker is an experienced politician and should know better.

Either Mr. Booker really wasn't using his head, or maybe he's gotten abit carried away with his own celebrity. Maybe after doing that funny ad with Chris Christy has gotten him confused about just how petty and conniving Repugs really are... and that they will stop at nothing nor any lie to mislead the public.

Depends on whether or not the Corporation can successfully resist a LBO and keep its assets. If the corporation succumbs to the LBO, it's of no consequence. However, if the corporation can resist the LBO, then it is in sufficiently good shape that Romney realizes it must be reckoned with.

The only real mistake that Booker made on Meet the Press was to make it sound like attacks against Private Equity Firms are on the same level as using attacks against Rev. Jeremiah Wright to establish ad hominem attacks against Obama. Booker was railing against attacking Private Equity Firms, which was taken out of context by the Romney campaign to make it sound like Booker was nauseated by referring to the impact that Romney, as Bain Capital CEO, had on job creation, as opposed to wealth creation, when he said that wealth creation was important for a source of funding for Pension Funds.

I was glad to have seen Booker on TRMS tonight too, Cory confirmed what I thought he meant by what he said on MTP yesterday. Chris Matthews really took Booker to task on Hardball; made it hard for me to believe that we saw/heard the same thing, given the radically different interpretation I had, when compared to Chris or Ed.

Makes me wonder if the GOP will rethink the "I'm with Cory" strategy, given all of the additional "I'm with Cory" lines that Mayor Booker iterated on Rachel's show.

From what I heard Mayor Booker say on Meet the Press, the bitch was more about assuming that the Obama campaign was denigrating Private Equity Firms in general, as opposed to taking Romney to task for implying that Bain Capital was in the business of job creation as opposed to wealth creation, and that Bain Capital (and Romney, by extension) made millions, regardless of what happened to the companies they bought out. Or that even when the end result was good, such as with Staples, it wasn't all good. (After all, Staples put a lot of Mom & Pop Stationery Stores out of business because they couldn't compete, entailing a net loss of jobs for local residents, loss of local business owners who lived in the community, therefore, income going to Corporate HQ rather than staying in the community, etc..)

I don't think it will be long before Romney, et al., decide that Booker's too hot to handle; Booker will sufficiently recover from the gaff and be back on track as an effective surrogate for Obama.

I have no problem with those who have worked hard for there wealth but i have a major problem with those in Washington who above all cost throw the middle class to the wolves and want to take more. I think he said he will stop the government from killing jobs like it does now.

Now if he continues using it as a club against whoever doesn't donate to him like obama does now, that will be wrong and bad, but definitely not different.

As apposed to obamas idea of bankruptcy to end all programs including medicare? Ryan budget is a pipe dream, and won't do anything for 40 years.

But if the senate would pass a budget we can fix it into something the people will like.

Can a company ignore a bankruptcy court order to close the doors?

I think it is against the law for a company to make people come to work and not pay them also. So letting them go and find paying work is the better than working for no pay.

I know obama can ignore court orders, beak the law, and fire people, but I think a company, and it's people can't do the same.
