Arsenio Hall's show changed the face of late night TV, and modern presidential campaigning. Twenty years later, Hall weighs in on that moment in history, our current politics and his role on Celebrity Apprentice (May 18, 2012).
After another drama-packed season of The Celebrity Apprentice, it's all come down to two recent guests of The Ed Show!
Arsenio Hall was on the show on Friday (May 18) and Clay Aiken appeared with Ed on May 10. Congratulations to both for making it this far!
The Washington Post reported on incidents in Mitt Romney's youth where he bullied gay teens. Singer Clay Aiken and Army Reserve Captain Stephen Hill join Ed Schultz to discuss Romney's apology and President Obama's efforts to prevent anti-gay bullying (May 10, 2012).
So, Team Clay or Team Arsenio? The two will compete in a final task to win $250,000 for their respective charities.
Find out who that will be when the live season finale of the The Celebrity Apprentice airs May 20 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
UPDATE: Click here to find out who won!

Hall is by far and away the winner. NJ.com reported this just this morning:
Clay Aiken: Team wins: 10 / Team losses: 4 / Wins as project manager: 1 / Losses as project maner: 1 / Trips to the boardroom: 3 / Money raised: $60,000
Arsenio Hall: Team wins: 10 / Team losses: 4 / Wins as project manager: 2 / Losses as project manager: 0 / Trips to the boardroom: 4 / Money raised: $105,000
That says it all right there. All personal biases, racism, and sympathy on basis of sexual orientation aside, Arsenio Hall is the clear winner just based on stats. Trump already insulted the black community enough last year with his goofy attacks on Obama and not really being a citizen and crap in his attempt for President, let's hope he doesn't do it again. Clay has been playing the runner-up card, but he needs to face the fact that he deserves to lose this time.
I mean, let's not even mention Clay's abrasive and bullying behavior of multiple contestant on this show. While Arsenio Hall had a run-in, it was with the show's notorious she-devil who's been talking crap about absolutely everyone. Hall finally had had it and was the man to stand up to her. Clay on the other hand has just been bullying various contestants: Penn Jillette, Dayana Mendoza along side Lisa Lampanelli, and now in his final task, Debbie Gibson. The guy is disgusting. He even gave Dayana Mendoza a death threat. It was ironic too because Lampanell actually attacked Clay Aiken and Clay responded by becoming her friend and bullying Dayana Mendoza. He stated in his blog he felt that Dayana would be an easier target in the boardroom /: \
Wow, what does this have to do with the "black community?" Clay Aiken was a far better competitor and raised over $300000 just on the last project. What show where you watching?
I think it is very insulting to Clay what you are saying and you are suggesting that Arsenio got the vote because Trump had to make it up to the "black community?"
That is messed up!!!!
So, when Arsenio is the bully that is okay but when Clay stands up for himself that is not okay? Once again Clay was let down by the decisions maker and lost unfairly.
Shameful, really.
Wow! That last paragraph by tonetare is straight from the Twilight Zone. What show were you watching? Clay is the one that has exhibited class and intelligence throughout the show. The fact that he stood up to some of the contestants that tried to derail him is to be admired. The man has a backbone, something Arsenio Hall desperately needs because he just let whoever take over his tasks and then took credit.
Clay is the only deserving winner. Last year's winner said so.
@johnrich
I'm calling @clayaiken as the winner tonight on C.Apprentice. Should be fun to watch!
I have to disagree with Tonetare. Clay didn't bully anyone. He had disagreements with Penn, Dayana and Debbie, but disagreements does not equate with bullying. Besides, what about Arsenio's attacks on Aubrey? Even though I think he was justified in his feelings I think he went too far in his profane attack on her.
And where and when did Clay ever voice a death threat against Dayana? That is totally out of left field and untrue. And as for him saying that Dayana being the easier target... hey, they all do that, including Dayana, to try to survive the boardroom. No shame in that.
In any case, disagreements and conflicts are part and parcel with the show and a big part of what makes it interesting TV.
Personally, I think Clay should win. He has been on the most winning challenges and has exhibited better creativity and leadership skills than Arsenio.
Only watched it because I am a long time Hall fan......"Let's get Busy"..... and I'm so glad to see him back in business. He and clay are a class act and it would be hard to chose a winner, because they both are winners. It is a hard one either way you look at it. I did not see all the shows, but they out fox and out lasted all the rest and they both deserve credit for that. Been watching them on interview all over all the networks and they are both friends for life what ever happens and both have respect for each other. Now that is the way we should conduct an election people.
@ Rosie
Cut the bull! Clay's extensive hissy fits at people for stuff like: a project manager requesting if they'd move on the other side of the stage is not a harmless disagreement. It's called abrasive and needless aggression, otherwise known as bullying. These are MULTIPLE people who did NOTHING of whom he NEVER APOLOGIZED to. Not only was Arsenio dealing with the show's flaming troll, but he apologized to her after he came down on her for being a troll. And as for claiming Clay Aiken never made a death threat against Mendoza, that just goes to show you that you really ought not comment on the show as you don't have all the facts. I guess you know more than Lisa Lampanelli who was on the show with Clay Aiken herself, who is the one who revealed the fact that Clay Aiken made death threats against Dayana Mendoza. Stop being lazy and google it. One website source is "Reality TV Rewind" where Lisa reveals that Clay Aiken made a death threat. I tried to provide the link for your lazy-ass but this website doesn't allow guests to post links. Anyways, I guess, your next response will be death threats don't qualify as bullying to you (LOL). I can only surmise that you're a hillbilly redneck who is hell-bent on getting a white man who's clearly done worse to win. Piss off!
@ MaryCary
"Arsenio Hall doesn't have backbone and Clay Aiken does" and that's why Hall should win?! Actually, Lisa Lampanelli openly attacked Clay Aiken in front of everyone at one point and Clay wussied out and backed down to her straight up. ROFLMFAO! Clay responded by joining Lisa in bullying Dayana Mendoza on the following episode. ROFLMFAO! At one point, Lisa even shouts at Clay to back her up, and Clay immediately does. Some backbone. As for Clay "heroically standing up to" Penn, this came ONLY AFTER Lou Ferrigno was repeatedly attacking Penn. Clay has said himself that he went after Dayana because he felt she was the easy target in the boardroom. Some backbone.
As for your comments about Arsenio Hall and "allowing Aubrey to take over tasks" I have to assume that at this point you're just trolling as it's common knowledge if you watched the show that she forced herself on all the project managers. The very reason she was teamed up with Arsenio was due to a conflict in which she was taking over someone else's project, so the women's team just had to be split up. Arsenio was the first person on the show to stand up to her.
I'm guessing Clay has taken to Twitter to tell his followers to go support him and might be playing this game dirty. I suspect he might even have told Lampanelli and Aubrey O'Day to get their followers to support him as well. If you notice, these three individuals all have something in common: They all were against "anti-gay bullying" (which I'm all for) but they were all doing the bullying all season long.
@ Tonetare: you need to apologize for your ad hominem attacks on people who disagree with you.
You said "I can only surmise that you're a hillbilly redneck who is hell-bent on getting a white man who's clearly done worse to win. Piss off!" The person you were referring to said nothing to insult you- all they did was disagree with you. Also, saying that someone is obviously trolling just because you don't agree with what they are saying is very arrogant. Apologize for your childish behaviour, which you know you should do.
I used to watch this show, but Trump has been such an @ss this last year, I can't stand to look at him anymore. And I can honestly say I don't miss it one bit.
so we endured listening to clay and aresenio sing....waste of time and yet we got to see 8 seconds of the winner being congradulated before it left the air. WE ENDURED 15 weeks and that's all WE get? I'm done!
Donald Trump wants poor kids on "Apprentice".
He thinks showing them there would content us.
This just shows that his brain
Is completely insane,
I'd consider him non compos mentis*...
* "not of sound mind"
Some 'reality' shows think they're profound,
Others want to the audience astound...
Don Trump doesn't want applause
For "The Apprentice", because
He just loves to bully people around...
And the ed show hanging on trumps coat tails hoping to catch a few coins.
Ed's top 3 subjects, 1.Trump 2.O'Reilly 3.Rush....
If not for those 3 ed would have no show!!!!!!
Wow!! Congrats Ed!! You have now arrived. Your show now means something. Having both finalists on your show.
Ed Schults...what a joke!
The people that come to this blog and insult and bad mouth the host are the joke. Johnny and Stupida top the list.
That is what blogs are for there larry, this is not some socialist country you have to bow down to some talking on TV.
This is the United States of America.
People are free to voice their views on the topics of the day, and the people that give their views on the topics of the day, such as ed.
So get over your self already.
I thought that Arsenio Hall did deserve to win! Clay wasn't able to delegate anything to anyone. He treated Debbie like a child, for instance. He spent all day looking for grass in New York City. That was a big waste of time! He was very rude on more than one instance, yet never said he was sorry. Arsenio showed he had what it takes to be "The Apprentice". Way to Go Arsenio!!!
First of all Celebrity Apprentice is edited to fit a story line. Such Lisa didn't go around yelling & crying all the time but it sure looked like it the way they edited it. Most people thought Dayana was an idiot but the way it was edited made Dayana looked like she was very bright and that people just picked on her. When Adam says in his pod cast that all but 2 people on Arsenio's team knew Clay wonl. They had the inside scoop Penn Gillette says Aiken won on his show. The celebrities were shocked. Adam was on Arsenio's team. Aubrey Oday says on Twitter that Clay Aiken got screwed. Paul Tuttle said on an interview that Clay should have won. Other said Clay was so well organized and really did a great job of project manager. Adam Carolla about 10 minutes in his pod cast says Clay Aiken got screwed on Celebrity Apprentice. Lisa Lampanelli who was on Arsenio's team talks about how horrible Arsenio can be and Debbie Gibson writes about how Clay got screwed.
I think if the vote would have been held 3 months ago, Clay would have been the winner. NOW with Arsenio going on all the talk show saying he's ready to come back, Trump wants a piece of the pie. I think now with Arsenio getting a talk show and telling Trump that he would promote him that Trump wanted to be in bed with the guy who was going to get a talk show. Clay won the venue task, Clay won the fund raising task. Clay Won the Show task and I will give the PSA to Arsenio.
I don't think the best man won but I think the guy who told trump what trump wanted to hear and is getting his own talk show won.
