Republicans have been saying that taxing the wealthy only hurts the job creators. Billionaire Nick Hanauer says he's not a job creator and makes the case for raising taxes on the rich, in order to boost the buying power of middle class consumers. He talks with Ed Schultz about changing our thinking about taxing the rich.

This guy has it right. Businesses don't CREATE jobs, they hire workers only when they are absolutely forced to by increased demand for their products. Businesses don't hire workers because they care about the workers or the economy or are working for the greater good. DEMAND creates jobs and everything the Republicans do works contrary to increasing demand in the economy. Get the Republican obstructionists out of the way and let the Democrats fix this country!!!!!!! Mark Montgomery NYC, NY boboberg@nyc.rr.com
The consumer DOES NOT create jobs; the consumer CREATES DEMAND. The private enterprise then decides whether or not to meet those demands based upon profit outlook. If the demand is such that it is a profitable thing then the private enterprise may hirer new employees to fullfil the need or they may not, depending upon the situation. This guy doens't have a clue as to what he is talking about.
Republican business owners are purposely not hiring anyone to deliberately hurt President Barack Obama, it's a conspiracy on the right. Mark Montgomery NYC, NY boboberg@nyc.rr.com
