The Democratic reps left the state in defense of their constituents, and representing their best interests. It gave the rest of the country the chance to see what Walker and his henchmen were really up to... union busting rather than budgetary issues.

It also forced Walker and his henchmen to reveal their true intentions instead of disguising their union busting bill in false terms. We also got to hear Walker's little strategy conversation with the guy he thought was David Koch, who apparently owns part of his soul.

Why is there any doubt. The DNC needs to do what they can to defeat these Republicans. This is exactly why I cannot side entirely Democrat. Lawrence's show, etc. And yes... he did speak of Christianity in very generic and general terms without specific references to specific doctrines, etc. But I still don't see how any of that is in opposition to the LDS religion, which is why I was asking what specifically he had said that was in opposition.

As LDS/Mormons also believe in the basic doctrinal points of God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost/Spirit... and Jesus Christ being the Son of God who suffered and gave his life for the sins of all mankind and by so doing brings redemption and Everlasting life to all who accept him as their Savior. From what I saw of the protests against Walker last year by the union members, those who WERE REPUGS have vowed to NEVER VOTE REPUG AGAIN. That is the thing about collective bargaining rights and worker's rights... both Democrats and Republicans benefit as well as Independents.

Fighting for ones livelihood is a very uniting factor and neither Republican, Independent or Democratic union workers have cared for Walker's high handed schemes to take away their hard won rights.

Saw that in California, all union members out begging the non-union citizens to support them at the polls. We did, and the ink wasn't dry before the Republican came right out again. I suspect while some may not tell you to your face, they will not back you on this recall. Why? Because times are lot worse for non-union workers. Watching government workers all over the country get up at those town hall and oppose health care for those who have none brings it home to around 50million in this country. You just can't reasonably expect people suffering with no health care to fight to keep high end policies for those who oppose care for the rest of us.

That's the real issue, not the wages or benefits, it's the mean spirited greed. Unions would be wise to get that issue off the table by insisting on universal care and get your pension funds out of predatory outfits like Bain Capitol and out of profiting off the misery of others in the health care wall street stock. Here's something I'd love to get a Repugli-CON answer to: an across the board Congressional/political pay cut. Start out with Congress and cut their pay, not severely but significantly. No, actually severely. I just looked it up and I thought they only made 100-120k/yr but they're really making 174k/yr. Personally, I'd cut it to 74k/yr just to make the math easy and we'd get 435 reps + 100 sens = 53 million dollars to help pay off the deficit.

Furthermore, we cut all their great benefit packages like health care and their retirement plans, basically anything that most workers either have to collectively bargain for or if they don't believe in unions just don't get period. I'd only do this for elected officials to set the guideline that if you want to be put in charge of making the rules and laws for the American people, then you should have to fully understand what the majority of American people go through. Sad thing is since most of them are already millionaires before they get voted into office this wouldn't even affect them very much. Sadder still is the fact that they're all so god damn greedy they'd never do it.

As a conservative, ER only has the use of their primitive brain which can only respond to fear-mongering. The part of the brain where logical thought and reason take place has not developed like it has in our liberal brains.
