Ask your GOP congress. They're the ones that campaigned on Jobs, Jobs, and more Jobs. Boehner even dodged a question by "we're going tp focus on jobs" and that same night put in ammendements to the defence budget dealing with SSM. Sounds like focusing on Jobs.
The republicans have sent 31 bills to Reid and the senate, none have been read.
Ask the democrates in the senate where the jobs are....
If only EVERYONE 1) practiced what you preached, 2) treated others the way you would like to be treated, and 3) left "judging others" up to the ONLY one qualified.....life on Earth would be so nice........."how simple can it be".....!!!

Many of my fellow Clergy and friends shared with me their great distress regarding President Obama’s statements. I am personally no stranger to how this divides my Christian community. I once had to intervene in a fistfight in the dining hall at Yale Divinity School between an Armenian Orthodox Priest and a Pastor in the National Church of Denmark over this issue. The Church of Denmark recently ordained openly gay people to the Ministry. The words exchanged were very ugly. I know it is a cliché, but I must ask. What would Jesus Do? How would the itinerant rabbi who called all to the Kingdom of God and associated with outcasts and tax collectors respond? I know so many Protestant Clergy and Catholic Priests that are still hiding their partners and
sexual orientation. They serve the Church and the Master Faithfully. My personal prayer is we call all people to marriage based on our Christian values of covenant and fidelity. Let us keep talking (respectfully) and praying (faithfully) over this issue. –Rev. Edmund Bolella

President Obama recognizes we are a CIVIL society ruled by a set of laws, not our personal beliefs. PBO is able to live his values without imposing them on others. What a novel idea. He also recognizes that people of color would still be on the back of the bus if President Johnson has not pushed the envelope to pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
And just as a side note. There are more men in the church who are on the DOWN LOW than in any other organizational setting. As a matter of fact, my GAYDAR went critical when the dark skin brother was speaking.

What the Bible says about homosexuality is irrelevant. As I recall the Bible teaches tolerance for all. The laws of this land should not be based on religious belief. The Constitution gives us a right to religion.....not a right to make religiously fueled laws. Denying marriage equality is just as bad as religion keeping slavery going for 400 years. Shame on the Black church for repeating the history they had 150 years ago

I have had that accusation throw about before.....so brainwashed evangelicals are better Christians.....That seems to be what the right is made up of.....calming to be born again and teaching politics instead of religion. And when comparing religions, Radical Muslims and Mormons are more alike than regular Protestants and Evangelical reborns. Give me a break....and by the way. Real Christians don't judge others. They try to live the way Jesus taught. You do know who Jesus is don't you?
Dictator (or Hater)::: Someone who supports gay marriage is not a christian? And why not? Maybe the rule should be that heterosexuals cannot get married either. Make it EQUAL! Finally there could be EQUALITY for all people and the homophobics don't want people to be equal to them.
BTW-- I have in the past been treated with more respect by some gay guys than I was at that time treated by straight guys.

Nearly 700 verses of the Bible have to do with LOVE - the greatest of the three things we are told will last forever.
I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He didn't force me to accept him. In other words, He allows us to have free will. I may not agree with their lifestyle, but that does not stop me from loving them. But they have the free will to choose the life they want to live. Just like a woman has a free will to choose whether or not to have an abortion.
Do not forget where Romney keep his dog when he went on his trip.So i believe he cut off the kids hair.
Please know that there are not many Black pastors rallying against our president. We all know that the sqeaky wheel gets the attention as this guest pastor on your today's show apparently has done. So, to put this Black pastor on television means nothing. As Michael Eric Dyson said (in my words) we have LBGTs in our churches - many who are ushers, choir members, choir directors, musicians, and yes- even pastors. So let's understand that the people who attend these Black churches will continue to support President Obama.
Did you happen to see Pastor Tony evans on CNN this morning? There are many pastors, not rallying against President Obama, but they are expressing there dismay concerning his stance on Gay Marriage. If you read some of the black blogs, you'll see even more comments about this issue. This will be a problem for President Obama. He will lose votes. But don't think for a moment that his team didn't already know this.
Whom ever decides not to vote for Pres. Obama because of their lack of acceptance, may be a vote that is not necessary to get another term for our Pres. Voters that will vote will be voting for jobs and successful future for our children and rights to exist.
I am a Black, female, conservative, Christian Democrat. Without saying, I love homosexuals; they are people. I disagree with Obama's stance on gay marriage; however, I disagree with Romney's stance on practically everything. Obama 2012!
President Obama has spoke many times about his Christianity where he does follows the writings of the Bible. It's a shame where ministers come out especially in the black community to criticized the President's decision to support gay marriage. The ministers has shown bigotry and contridict their views on using the bible as part of their disagreement. Yes, the bible does say that marriage is between a man and woman.
It's a shame that the ministers in the black community feel that backlash from the President to state his viewpoints about same sex marriage. But using the bible to show bigotry is pure stupidity. They are not open-minded and accept same sex marriage as a whole, where back in the 1960's, blacks were in the same position, where racisim and bigotry were harsh where lives were lost over acceptance and voting.
These ministers should WAKE UP and realized what they doing will hurt, not gain acceptance in the gay community. Accept and open your mind and heart and understand that same sex marriage will not go away. And the bible state words, minister are setting unacceptance and bigtry. Time has change, accept the change. It will not go away. It's here to stay. Also, I'm a Christian.

I'm African-American, I love the Lord and the Lord loves us all. Any person regardless if you are a preacher, or just a hard working citizen can not and should not ever want to see any person or group of people discriminated against. President Obama and I share the same feelings as anyone else that the bible teaches that homosexuality is against the word of God. But this issues is much deeper than our religious beliefs. How many times did the KKK hang and kill black people using the name of the Lord. I agree with President Obama, equal rights for one, equal rights for all.
