Remember, it is not only gays and lesbians who are bullied. Bullying is a severe problem in this country which is causing the death of children almost every week of the year. I am sure you saw the Bully Project, but if you haven't, it is real. I have a son who was bullied almost every day of his school life, and wasn't gay! He was bullied because he was different, he had Tourette's Syndrome. This made our family life a living hell, which we have never recovered from, even though my son is 35 years old now and married. I hate bullies and have no sympathy for them, or the school districts or the educators that allow this to happen. My son needs some privacy once in awhile, so I am not posting this comment on my fb wall tonight. I post about bullying all the time. Something has to be done and soon, there was another suicide at the end of April, when is it going to stop?
....I bet most republians will be voting for President Obama in November. Romney won't make it till November, he's going to end up having one of those "rich people" nervous break down. He can't handle the spotlight...he's nervous all the time, he turns red all the time, he don't know what to say...I bet he wishes he'd never run for President...He's gonna break before it's all over.

I have never seen him able to deal positively with a challenge, no matter how cheerfully it's put, or how straight and upfront the questioner might be. I don't think he can feel the pain of those he considers his inferiors, and to people of that sort we ALL are. Don't be fooled by this guy.
Why does he want to be President? Well, Power of course; I think that's a given for all of them. Mitt Romney is first and foremost a man of business, rather like Ebeneezer Scrooge.

He is a severe practitioner of Surgical Business, and the old, the disabled, the mentally ill and those given a body that is not um of the fair, white variety. He will cut us to the bone, slicing off what he sees as the rotten flesh (bad debt) and separating it (US) from the body instead of allowing healing the Body as a .
That's his way. He doesn't care, he can't see beyond his world, he feels superior to
everyone not in his little universe. His world is private, double veiled by the secret,
arcane world of his church and his position as one of the 3 richest men in America, I

He's like Siddhartha before he leaves his palace and sees all the sickness, poverty, hunger, suffering and death in the world outside his luxurious palace. In that
place all signs of suffering were kept from him, so seeing the world outside was a shock. He experienced a great enlightenment.
In another story that begins in this fashion, the rich man never leaves his palace,and is a spoiled "gentleman" and err "public servant" (hahahahahahahaha!) Romney's behavior as a teenager only carried over into the way he did business. He took advantage of weak companies, tore them apart and finished destroying them, and then laid people off only to fill his pockets with money for his lavish lifestyle and entertainment. And that same ruthlessness and unempathetic nature will only carry over into his presidency if he were to win. Which is highly unlikely, I don't think America is that stupid... they didn't elect McCain and Palin and I have faith that America will see who Mitt Romney for who he really is. A man who is looking to be President for all the wrong reasons which is Power and Status and not convictions and issues. That is why he cannot offer his own solutions and keeps flip flopping because he has no convictions or cause other than to add title of President to his resume..as if it was a trophy to attain.

I don't see where, at least in this thread, of there ever a mention that there were 60 'Democrats' in the Senate during Obama's first two years. Anyway, we all know that after Al Franken was sworn in that there were 58 Democrats and two Independents that were by all intents and purposes, Democrats. Those Independents were Bernie Sanders, a confessed Socialist (i.e. Democrat), and Joe Lieberman who was a Democrat all his life until the Democratic Party threw him under the bus over his stance on the Iraq War. He had to run as an Independent to win reelection, but he was by all intents and purposes a Democrat and even caucused with the Democrats.
Obama could have passed any legitimate legislation he wanted during this time. He decided to focus on ObamaCare. Not even this passed legitimately. It was passed through Reconciliation. It didn't need 60 votes in the Senate, only 51.

Last time I checked the Republicans had 19 jobs bills that were voted on and passed by the House that Harry Reid will not bring to the floor in the Senate. It is hard to create an atmosphere for job growth when you only control one third of the Executive Branch of Government. Notice how I said atmosphere for job growth, because Government doesn't create jobs, they create the atmosphere for job growth.
It's okay though, the 2012 elections are near and a brighter future (one without Obama) is close at hand.
