It goes on and on against tattoos, eating shell fish, and even style, [rigging would fit in the style category] And of course good ol "Burnt Offerings" my favorite. Just the same when it comes to sex, it could have been shortened to. No sex allowed, except between a lawfully wedded man and wife, and only with the specific goal to procreate, or start a family. Oh and because procreation is Gods punishment for original sin [that apple thing] do not dare enjoy it.
Really Tom if you don't like same sex than don't do it. But for people like you using the bible to justify hate and discrimination, is #1 in giving religion a bad rap.

Thomas Cargo, what about a man and woman having sex before marriage. Fornication is a sin yet millions of people do it plus christains and it is acceptable. Even the preacher do it so what is the difference here. Both are freedom to chose and both are human rights to chose so please stop thinking of this as your sin its not its the right to chose and even God gave us this right to love him or not he did not force his love on us.

See, it's LEGALLY married... not church sanctified marriage.
No one gets their marriage license from a religious institution, they get that marriage license from the State (the government) and are free to marry in a religious building, a park, a beach, on a ship, at city hall, in a forest, on top of a mountain...... and they are legally married provided the person joining them in the service is licensed by the State, not a religious institution.

I want to know why everyone is giving Romney a free pass on his hypocracy about same sex marriage (an alternative lifestyle) when the religion he whole-heartedly supports (both in theory and financially) is in itself an alternative lifestyle. For example, one man with multiple wives--some of whom are not only under age, but are oftentimes from the same bloodline as the man they are marrying and bearing children. Is this not bigamy and/or incest? When is this discussion going to come up?

Don't we have laws against discrimination? Why is it that the Church and religious people have to get invoked in people's sexual lives? First it was abortions, then conception's and now it is about gays who want to love each other and have a life with some one they love. Can't religion just stay out of the government. Didn't we, our forth father, come to America to get away from religious discrimination, now we have to fight for it again.

It interesting that this is some courageous move. It isn't. The left is already known for supporting gay marriage, the right has applied that to Obama long before now. Remember reality does limit their ideology, they've been making this case for a long time. This is an example of Obama trying to get the right wing yahu's on his side by saying he was "evolving". Barack they don't believe in evolution either! They think you're the anti-christ you never getting their vote stop pandering to them they are not part of the people who are willing to vote for you!
