Romney says he supports traditional marriage between a man and a woman. Or is that "women" given that his grand dad was once step away from the law over his multiple wives when he ran off to Mexico.
I don't know, why don't you ask the current Senate Majority Leader about it since he happens to be a Mormon too? Maybe he'll have stories about his family dating back to the founding of the faith?

The truth is that humans are strange mammals. If someone wants to be with the same sex as a mate, why not? They are not harming me in any way. The people that have a problem with this are those that have the delusion of a "GOD" that condemns this. They say AIDS is caused by homosexuals, so much BS. Those of us that are scientists know AIDS came out of Africa, not the US. Africa is a breeding ground for disease and so are the most highly populated places on Earth, like India and China. Where do you think the bird flu came from? The larger the population density the higher the risk of virus mutations and disease.
So let's stop this attitude that we have to tell free people what they can and cannot do when they do not harm anyone else. People should be free to do whatever they want as long as they do not put someone else in harms way. The pursuit of happiness.
Obama has flipped-floped several times the past few years on this issue,wonder what made him come out of the closet at this time? Could it be that 20% of his bundlers are gay? Everything this guy does is political. Thirty two states do not support gay marriage(even California) whats changed? Maybe now his gay bundlers will cut loose the purse strings.

But it is nice to know you like to discriminate. And just for your information, there is a law against discrimation that is in the constitution. But don't let that bother you. You probably also believe President Obama passed a law with is standing up for civil rights for all Americans.
What? I just thought you might want to know the correct source of your reference. Technically there are no "laws" in the constitution There are rules that restrict the actions of the federal government and the states, including prohibitions against discriminating based on certain prohibit classifications, such as race. And no I do not believe President Obama passed any laws. Laws are passed by congress which require the President's signature to be come effective. Are you suggesting that Congress could pass a law to require the states to permit SSM?

The Declaration is an extremely important document and by the way it does say that the people of this country have a right to rise up if the government becomes destructive of your inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is an important point to remember and it is up to us right now to make sure the government abides by these inalienable rights or we need to abolish the form of government and start over. Our wise forefathers fought for this and we need to uphold this type of wisdom. Money should not be the thing that makes us happy, something is wrong right there. We have been slowly moved into a form of slavery. We are slaves to money and power. It just seems that people are not all that happy these days. Well maybe those that have sucked away huge amounts of money are happy they screwed 90% of us and messed things up due to their greed. Corruption and greed are at an all time high in this world and it is due to the power/money equality. It should be power/knowledge equality. Those are the true ideals that we should be striving for. As always, we should strive to make sure we keep our inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If you feel that making lots of money makes you happy, then you can do so as long as you do not harm others inalienable rights in the process. There are a plethora of examples that could be brought up here.
So as far as same sex marriage is concerned, do whatever makes you happy because it does not affect other peoples rights.

I am so damn sick of hearing of "Gay rights". I never had a problem with it until now. It is always in the media and thrown up in my face. I am so sick of it! I don't care what they do, but I damn sure don't care to be forced to deal with it. Yes! I am damn against it! I know many people that are. I certainly think the poll is fake!!!
So, tell me, how does 2 people getting married affect your rights? Does it really matter if the 2 people are the same sex? Please explain how it affects your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I am not gay, but I do not care about who marries who. In no way does it affect my life, my liberty or my pursuit of happiness. Actually, I am happy, because I make things they may want to buy like high tech jewelry.

Same-sex marriage is not about marriage or sex, but about choice. I chose to become a Christian and as such, I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. However, God did not give me, any Christian, any right-wing religious radical, or anyone else the right to impose our beliefs or choices on someone else. In spite of what Santorum and others imply, God also loves Gays and Lesbians. Here is what the Bible says in two of many verses about Eunuchs, who were Gay: “For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.” (Matthew 19:12.) “Thus says the Lord: “Keep justice, and do righteousness, for soon my salvation will come, and my deliverance be revealed. That commandment was written in the New Testament. Twice. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," and "Judge not, lest ye be judged." People just tend to ignore it.
Personally, I always preferred the Wiccan Rede: "And it harm none, do what ye will." Or, in layman's terms, "If it doesn't hurt you or anyone else, go for it."

to totally distort the word of God by trying to say that eunuchs were Homosexuals is blasphemy. The Bible is very clear that homosexuality is a sin, does this mean that God does not love gay people ? of course not. Jesus died for all mankind. now as for same sex marriage I personally do not believe in it but i do believe that a civil union should be administered by the state and recognized by all states as a legal union and that marriage in its traditional form should be administered by the church or other religious body.No one should be discriminated against for any reason in this day and age

Ask any gay person that is unemployed, what is more important, getting married or getting a job.
He said that he was for allowing it, true, but that is not pushing to have a bill brought forward to legalize it at the federal level. I happen to agree with him on this. The other side of the problem is equal rights, not gender equality. If your rights are adversely affected simply by who you choose to spend the rest of your life with then the system needs to be adjusted. There is no room anymore for only black and white rules(no pun intended). It has to include all shades of gray as well.
Ok I believe everyone on this earth should do what the want and follow what they believe in and what makes them happy. When I was little, I wanted to grow up doing what I love and having freedom. No one wants to live their life by old traditions or rules. I respect peoples' desires and their rights to do what ever the heck they want to. Who gives a CRAP about if it isn't this what so many people call not "normal". Lets break some boundaries and not look behind!!! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!

I wish the Prez would stay away from gay marriage & gun controll. Enuff already. Just because I'm black & vote mostly Democratic, this doesn't mean I have to agree w/ all of their (Demo) issures.
Civil-Union is okay but marriage is between a man & woman. I'm not for gay male boy-scouts leaders, gay females are alright as boy-scouts leaders. If Catholic Priests couldn't keep their hands off of young boys, I know normal Joe-Blow gay guy can't keep their hands off. (Not my son or grandson would belong to the scouts if they let gay males become boy-scouts leaders.) They (gay-males) can go to the girl-scouts and be scout leaders there.
The second amendment is not just for hurting & sports. People wanna to be ready. The readiness started back in 1776. That turns all of us into soldiers. This were to make other countries think twice before attacking us. The price we pay for freedom. And dawn well worth it.
