i have gay friends. we do not talk about sex all the time, but if i have a question about certain things, i will ask. i can't do that with all my gay friends, but those who feel comfortable talking about sex, and other aspects of their relationship, i am curious. i like to know what makes people tick, and if they know why they have the feelings they do, i am interested in hearing about it.

I beg to differ on a few points. I don't blame Obama for what transpired under Bush. Bush ran up 4+trillion dollars in deficits in his 8 years, mostly due to the financing of the two wars which at the time they commenced was supported by Dems and Reps alike. At that time there was a call by most for revenge for 911. Everyone seems to forget the mood of the country in the months following the attacks, but there was a call for war by most. IRAQ was a mistake but at the time it was supported by the country.

Obama did inherit a mess with the housing and financial market collapse and I think he also did the right thing at the time with the first stimulus and the bailouts. I also think part of the ACA are good, but a lot of it is bad, including the mandate and new taxes. What I don't agree is that he continued the massive stimulus spending for the next three years. The last three years of massive spending did not create huge job gains and just wasted a lot of borrowed money. That is my big complaint about Obama. And before everyone starts blaming the Congress for this spending, the last three years the Congress has not been able to pass a new budget so what happens is the Federal Government operates under a Continuing Resolution which in effect says that spending will be at the level of the prior fiscal year, which has resulted in the $5 trillion in deficits under Obama.

There is way too much partisan politics on both sides of the Congressional aisle and the President as well. You only need look back to the Clinton Administration and the Republican Congress for an example of the different parties working together for the good of the country and doing it in a way that balanced the budget and kept spending under control. I honestly don't know how the two parties can work their differences out but it needs to be done or we will soon be approaching the way Greece is. And nobody wants that.

Come on now, you know quite well that Obama's debt is his debt and not Bush's. During Bush's worst year his biggest deficit was $450 billion which included the DOD budget. Obama has run $1+ trillion dollar deficits his entire presidency and that is due to the additional $900 billion stimulus that he got through Congress in his first year in office and which has continued in the form of Continuing Resolutions every year since. It's time to quit blaming Bush, Reagan, Nixon, Lincoln and every other Republican President for this President's spending habits. If he didnt want the trillion dollar deficits he could have vetoed the spending bill. But he didn't and therefore they are his and his alone. That's just the way the Federal Budget process works and its just hard facts. Sorry, I know its easier to rant and place blame on others but reality is reality.
