Surprise, surprise.
Right-wingers dished out plenty of snark over Hillary Clinton's recent trip to Bangladesh.
The Secretary of State was in the country to promote democracy-- but of course the right-wing didn't focus on the substance, but rather the superficial:
She was wearing glasses and very little makeup.
Mrs. Clinton addressed the issue in a recent interview with this amazing response:
"Because you know if I want to wear my glasses I'm wearing my glasses. If I want to wear my hair back I'm pulling my hair back. You know at some point it's just not something that deserves a lot of time and attention."
Preach, sister.

Good on Madame Secretary! And I don't know what's to get snarky about - she looks great! perhaps though if they spent less time on this kind of stuff and more time on thing like, say the Student Loan bill, perhaps things in Congress wouldn't be such a bleedin' mess.
I think those glasses look great on her. Those right wing nuts need to go home and squeeze their blackheads or something, and leave the normal folk alone.

Irony: Obama admin requires visitors at White House to register UNBORN BABIES babies as separate guests (PEOPLE in addition to their mothers!).
That's not just IRONY; that is the quintessence of IMMORAL HYPOCRISY. NOT regarding prenatal babies as "legal persons" as justification for filicide, but insisting they be REGISTERED as separate persons for purposes of counting visitors to the White House!
NEVER ONCE DID THE SUPREME COURT DECLARE ABORTION ITSELF TO BE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT!.
Instead the Supreme Court said:
"We need NOT resolve the difficult question of when life begins . . . the judiciary at this point in the development of man's knowledge is not in a position to speculate as to the answer."
Then the High Court made a key admission:
***** "If this suggestion of PERSONHOOD IS ESTABLISHED, THE APPELLANT'S CASE [i.e., "Roe" who sought an abortion], of course, COLLAPSES, for the FETUS' RIGHT TO LIFE IS THEN GUARANTEED SPECIFICALLY BY THE [14th] AMENDMENT."
The fact is, the 14th Amendment couldn't be clearer:
". . . nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law, nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law."

I have watched Hillary follow along the same passages I did ,I am 71 now! There comes a time when the superficial is just a pesky waste of time and you concentrate on the actual things around you ! She wanted to be comfortable and not detracted by The wisp of hair or the contact lens that get grimy in humid places but instead be there with the people she was seeing and not just looking at,but actually seeeing!
Well they didn't have their clown noses on either but did you hear Hillary complain no.If they would spend more time working on the issues rather than picking at every little thing that don't amount to a hill of beans, maybe the would get things accomplished.

You are familiar with a concept called an "amendment" you know that thing that allows us to change the constitution when we feel it's outdated

Our Secretary of State , Hillary Clinton, is one of the most brilliant women on this planet. I applaud her and stand 100% behind her and her representation of the USA. This comment by the right wing spin machine and their trolls, speaks volumes about the view of women in their " good ole boys club." Those gasbags are so intimidated by a strong, intelligent woman. Why don't we all start commenting on Ann's hair ( bleach blond) , Bachmann's false eyelashes ( which evidently obsure her brain) ,Sarah's lack of education ( out of her depth mostly) and Rush's most recent girth measurement. Mrs Clinton is amazing. Her only equal in her job performance would be Henry Kissinger. She is so outstanding that people around the world respect and admire her.

I do believe Hillary has gotten better looking with age. Not very common for women unless they turn to plastic surgery. Less is more in this case and she looks great.
