Meet Rick Berg.
He's a Republican running for Senate in North Dakota, and he doesn't know what the minimum wage is.
Take a look:
Berg asked what the minimum wage is
Berg was the 14th richest member of the U.S. House in 2010, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan group that tracks money in politics. He reportedly voted against raising the minimum wage while in the state legislature in 1999, 2005 and 2007.
Ed will have a lot to say about this tonight on The Ed Show at 8pET on MSNBC!

"I am against raising the minimum wage but I don't know what it is""Corporations are People my Friend""He want's everyone to go to college what a snob""1-2 - oops -oops""You don't have to look at the ultrasound screen""If Puerto Rico want to become the 51st state then need to learn English""if you kill someone in Texas you ill be executed"
REPUBLICANS 2012 -Love it or Leave it
Rick Berg is not getting my vote as I know of his underhanded dealings with the taxpayers money. He took taxpayer money and sent out fancy 6X9 glossy cards sent in the mail for his re-election and has started a smear campaign against Heidi Heitkamp. He's just your everyday run of the mill GOP creep!
Heidi Heitkamp would be Great for North Dakota, Rick Berg - He's got GOP CREEP written all over his face.
The real issue is that no matter who knows what the wage is, and where, it needs to be increased, as it does in San Jose, California, where the effort to increase the wage from $8 to $10 an hour has qualified for the November ballot. The City Council could adopt the measure outright next week. If not, the effort that was started by SJSU college students, collected 35,000 voter signatures, more than twice what was needed to qualify for November ballot. www.raisethewage.sj.com
a republican berg doesn't know what minimum wage is.......if we didn't pay politicians more than they are worth and paid minimum wage..they wouldn't bother to run for office..yippeeee

a repub not knowing what the minimum wage is?
that's old news.
I can't believe he doesn't have the brains to answer such a simple question. It is an abuse of federal power, they federal government has no authority to mandate wages. He doesn't know that he needs to go!
Stacy Ross: Go for it california, what is the worse that can happen, the illegal mexicans will get a raise. It's your state, run it into the ground if you like.
"right to work" states, assault on unions, denying people a living minimum wage, tax cuts only for the wealthy, voting against bills that would keep teachers working, voting against bills that would give small businesses the credit they need to hire, voting against a bill that would keep american jobs from being sent overseas, and yes, not knowing the minimum wage, or perhaps knowing it, but not wanting to say it outloud, a mere pittance of what politicians make.
IF the federal gov't did not mandate civil rights for african americans, gays and lesbians and other minorities, women included, white repub men wouldn't give an inch. its the same way with the minimum wage.
the repub/bagger message is clear: the mentally ill, the elderly, the vulnerable, gays, african americans, women and others who are considered "sub-human", are incapable of taking care of themselves, and therefore, not to be trusted. so, justifiably, in their minds, repubs feel they must tell these "sub-humans" how much they are allowed to make, what they can do with their own bodies, if they are or are not good enough to have civil rights like most americans take for granted, and how they need to change themselves to have benefit of all that old white repub men take for granted.
when repub/baggers dehumanize people by looking at them as "special interest groups", as "sub human" because they are not living the way "god" intended them to live, they see people as animals, therefore removing any feeling they might have about the disadvantaged and vulnerable, the minorities in our country. in other words, they don't want to know too much, as they have already made their assumptions about everyone who is not rich and powerful. repubs believe they do not deserve a living wage, they do not deserve control over their own body, only the rich and powerful deserve that.
repubs hate regulations that prevent the rich from getting richer, but they want to regulate the "sub-humans" by dehumanizing them, by stripping them of rights, by adding new laws, and by attempting to control them however they can.
i always feel i must say that neither party is without fault, but the republican party in the united states today are OPPRESSORS, except in regard to the rich and powerful. they always call the democrats "elite", but they are the party that is exclusive, feeling elite in regard to race, socially, intellectually and "spiritually".
democrats include everyone in their party, repubs do not.
civil rights for "sub-humans", including the minimum wage is exactly what the gov't should be doing.
