For years I referred to romney as mitt the knit wit.
Mitt stands for Mitt and serves Mitt, while Obama spent his entire life serving PEOPLE..human people, not money and his own interests.

Apart from Reagan and one assasination, unemployment trend for the last 100 years is increases under Republican presidents and drops under Democrat presidents.
US Department of Labor Statistics provides this information. Average unemployment is 0.9% better for each Democrat presidential term and about 1.5% worse for each Republican presidential term.
The last depression occurred during the Republican presidencies of Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover. We are in another depression.
Why?
Three reasons: education, immigration, and banking.
First: education.
Apart from Reagan, every Republican president has reduced education funding. The decline corresponds with the War on Drugs.
The War on Drugs, which spent $1 trillion while education funds were being reduced.
Declining education is linked with unemployment because the average bachelors degree doubles income and reduces unemployment risk by half. Bachelors degree reduces incarceration risk by 95% by providing steady income.
Education is also known as human-capitol development.
Second: immigration.
Half of wealth of the US exists as real estate, and wealth increases while the population increases.
Apart from Reagan, every Republican president has blocked immigration to "protect American jobs for Americans" despite the fact that immigrants dominate farm labor where almost no US citizens are employed.
US citizen birth rate is 2.1, which cannot sustain growth due to deaths before workforce entry. Our economic growth depends on immigration.
More than 1 million undocumented immigrants left the US starting in 2007 creating hundreds of thousands of abandoned dwellings by 2009.
This population decline occurred after the revised Patriot Act that legalized state and local discrimination for undocumented workers involving drivers licenses, public school enrollment, health care, and rent.
Bank failures and unemployment peaked in 2010 due to mortgage payment failures resulting from dwelling abandonment.
The Great Depression occurred during Mexican Repatriation, which is the only other time US population has declined in the past 100 years.
Third: bank policies.
Apart from Clinton, every Democrat president has maintained financial protections created during the Great Depression.
The Glass-Steagall Act of 1933 created 3 different finance industries by prohibiting commingling of funds between banking, stock exchange, and insurance funds. This is the reason the Great Depression was not repeated from 1947 until 2006.
The Gram-Leachy-Bliley of 1999 legalized the co-mingling of funds between bank, security, and insurance industries. This allows banks to undermine FDIC by using long term savings to speculate on the stock exchange.
The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 allows mortgages to be bundled and sold as stock on the New York Stock Exchange. This allows mortgage speculation on wall street.
The Responsible Lending Act of 2003 allows lenders to sell sub-prime mortgages to unqualified borrowers. This also allows banks to grow enormous by crossing state and international borders. As much as 5 million unaffordable loans are created annually from 2003 until 2009.
These 3 laws create financial dynamite by allowing banks to rapidly inflate real estate value by pumping savings through the New York Stock Exchange to produce over $1 trillion of mortgages for borrowers that can't pay. This works as long as the population is increasing.
The Patriot Act lit the fuse on the dynamite by collapsing the undocumented immigrant population from 2007 through 2009 -- which created abandoned real estate.
George Bush authorized border protections that were applied to California and Arizona where economic collapse has been the worst.
Texas avoided the worst impact of the economic by encouraging immigration.
Romney has openly stated he will do it again if he is elected.

"The Rapture" did not cause cause the housing abandonment that has been shown on major news networks unless you consider Mexico to be heaven.
Undocumented immigrants abandoned over half a million dwellings when returned to Mexico from 2007 to 2010.
They still occupy 5 million dwellings.
This should not be too hard to follow.
Immigrants pump $200 billion through the economy (mostly for rent) and they pay about $20 billion in taxes. They stopped paying rent on the dwellings that they abandoned.
The realtors, construction contractors, mortgage lenders, and transportation industries collapsed when the population stopped growing when about 2 million people left.
Lots of people try to say this is wrong because they look at census and ICE data, which do not work because undocumented immigrants are undocumented.
The social security administration, IRS, and HUD keep accurate records because these agencies are prohibited from sharing "documentation" information with ICE.
Crack: I also thought that migrant workers also dropped the wages. But who wants to pick vegetables all day long? Or who will pick your lettuce?

This was much longer than it needed to be because several people have criticized me unless I prove each statement with 100% certainty.
I live in the Strawberry Capitol of the World.
Farmers with the best pay run about $0.23 per quart to pick strawberries. Similar compensation for other labor intensive crops (lemons, orange, grapefruit, avocado, ...).
You have to pick about a quarter ton of berries per day to make the rent. Fruit pays less.
US citizens only last about 4 hours before they quit.
The only people that pick strawberries are immigrants.
Crops rot in the field without foreign labor because grocery suppliers choose the lowest cost producers.

The whole GOP snow job on immigration is an urban legend, just like most of the garbage they peddle.
Immigrant employees first need a social security number and authorization by department of homeland security. Republicans invented "illegal aliens" by establishing a quota for countries with dark skin in 1924. Some dark skin immigrants are "illegal" because they fraudulently obtain social security numbers by claiming to be Canadian (funny story about that).
The employer advertises to hire employees and must provide documentation that an attempt was made to hire a qualified citizen first. The employer then files for I-9 with USCIS e-verify with the name, SSN, and some other information. The I-9 form must be filed and retained by the employer in case there is an ICE raid.
Next, the employee needs to file with Department of Homeland Security, which is the organization that authorizes immigrant workers.
Undocumented workers have not broken any laws if the employer is paying them to work. The employer is the actual criminal, and this normally involves illegally paying less than minimum wage for full time employment. This is similar to human trafficking.
So ... there is actually no such thing as an "illegal immigrant".
Every GOP fairy tale breaks down under close examination just like this.

If everyone is concerned about voter ID, why don't you just tell everyone to request absentee ballots? How can they ask for a photo ID in the mail?
The problem with absentee ballots is, they usually make little difference in the outcome...
Votes registered in early voting are included in the Election Day counts, but absentee ballots are usually not counted until after Election Day, and only bothered with if the vote is close enough that they may make a difference...
Otherwise, why bother? The Election Day count stands...
I find it strange that they can announce an outcome before all ballots are counted. I worked for two hours after the polls official closed getting our ballots, books, rolls etc turned in, yet before the polls even closed in California, the results were in.....does that make any sense? Many in the armed forces and working in foreign send in absentee ballots.....don't you think they are important voters.....and if this is the case should they be made to think 'WHY BOTHER?'

Actually it was Nixon that ruined health care with the HMO scam. Reagan destroyed the economy by taking us off the high wage industrial economy which allowed the US to be the worlds #1 lender nation and put us on a low wage services economy which made the US the #1 borrowing nation in the world. What gets me is how righties keep insisting that stock market crashes are predictable yet every time the market crashed they were caught by surprise. NAFTA (started by Bush 1 and finished by Clinton) and the Unions destroyed the high wage industrial economy, not Reagan. Once globalization of manufacturing happened there was no way those high wage industrial jobs were competitive with the rest of the world.
Result: Manufacturing is gone, and it had nothing to do with Reagan.
As for service based industries being low paying, I'm not sure what industries you're referring to. In the early 90's - Y2K I made tons of money doing software engineering (service business) and so did a lot of other people.
Bubbles and resultant crashes are predictable, and are a result of the price fixing perpetrated by the Federal Reserve.
Furthermore when OPEC decides to trade oil in something other than US currency we're all screwed.

Except chi left out the fact that the industrial economy ended almost 20 years before NAFTA and what destroyed the Auto industry was bad CEO decisions that caused poor quality auto's to come out of the factories. With the massive lay offs going on in the 1980's was what created the auto's to sit at dealerships because laid off workers do not buy new cars. None of which had anything to do with unions.
Sorry but I grew up in in a town that manufactured autos. Poor quality autos are the result of an overpaid lazy unionized drunken slacker work force who could not be fired because the union protected them.
Every lemon that came off that line was manufactured on a Monday when they came to work hung over or a Friday when they went out for a liquid lunch.
No those were caused by cuts in quality control not lazy workers but again you are full of BS as anyone knows that to keep any job union or non union the workers have to meet production. The big 3's biggest problem was sticking small cars with untested small engines that had a tendency to break down out on the market, that is the CEO's decision not unions or workers decide that. Unions nor workers have a say in what cars are produce nor do they set quality control those lemons were from the minds of the CEO's. All workers do is the job they are hired to do, all the unions do is make sure the workers are paid a decent wage, the company follows safety rules and to make sure a worker isn't fired because his foreman got into a fight with his wife and decided to take it out on the first person he saw.

They also make it almost impossible for a company to get rid of employees who are losers.
They take away any incentive for a worker to go over and above what's expected. If I'm a pay grade 9 and Joe Loser who does just enough to not get fired is a pay grade 9, there's no incentive for me whatsoever to do any more than Joe Loser does.
Increases in pay are not judged by performance, so the result is below average performance from everyone. You need not look any further than unionized public education to see this.
Not to mention if Joe Loser has seniority over me, when layoffs come I get cut and Joe Loser gets to stay because he's got seniority, even though he's a deadbeat and I'm not.
