A bar owner in Georgia is under scrutiny for a controversial sign he put up about President Obama. The sign reads, "I do not support the n***** in the White House."
The bar’s owner, Patrick Lanzo claims he’s not racist but just exercising his First Amendment rights.
"I say just because you're offended by it doesn't mean you don't have the right to say something just the opposite,” Lanzo told Atlanta’s Fox 5.
Lanzo's bar, The Georgia Peach Oyster Bar, has a history of putting up incendiary signs. In 2009, he protested the healthcare law with a sign that read, "Obama's plan for health-care: n***** rig it."
The bar's website advertises itself as "the Original Klan, Klam and Oyster bar." More of these controversial signs can been found on his website here (WARNING: not suitable/safe for work)
One Paulding County administrator called the most recent sign "repulsive" and "embarrassing." He said at this point there is nothing the county can do to have the sign removed.

The best solution to this problem is for every person to boycott the establishment. Yes, he has a right to voice his opinion, but everyone else has a right to go somewhere else to eat.
This is not a Republican or Democratic issue..this is a humanity issue.
i agree with you Stormguy53, we canchoose another place. there's enough small-minded people like him to keep him happy
Storm
You are so right !!!!
There is no place for this kind of derogatory language
against President Obama
There should never be a reason why you ever use the "N" word!!!
In my 62 years, I have never seen such disrespect for the office of the Pres. There cannot be any other reason except that he is black, since he is one of the smartest, hard working Pres. ever.
"In my 62 years, I have never seen such disrespect for the office of the Pres"
Seriously??? Were you asleep during the Reagan years?!?
Ric-O -- I was wide awake during Reagan years. He had a Congress that worked with him and took his damn phone calls, he was NOT ever shouted at during a State of The Union speech or Congressional Address. He was not the target of monthly, if not weekly, racist e-mails with "artwork" coming from the offices of ELECTED officials and their staff. There were no secret meetings on his inagural day plotting various ways to destroy his Presidency, bring him to his "Waterloo," and "break him." There was no Tea Party protests with hundreds of signs depicting him as a African witchdoctor, complete with bone thru nose. There is simply no comparison. Lynne is correct. The way President Obama has been treated is nothing short of SHAMEFUL.
Well, Marge, I guess we saw things from different prisms, then. I recall him being constantly made fun of, called "Bonzo" after the chimp from his movies, pilloried for being a war-monger, and ridiculed for being senile (I know, because I did some of those very things myself, as a young student) Oh, I also remember the cheer that went up the day he was shot.
Regardless, I also remember that other fellow with the jug ears that served right before Obama- what was his name? Well, he was a drunk, an imbecile, behind 9/11, etc., no? But I understand- Obama is YOUR guy, so anything said or done is "worse". That's human nature, I suppose.
And what would you call a failed racist city councilman from Cali calling the President and his daughters N*****s and calling for the whole family's assasination? What about another idiot cali politician holding up a pic of a family of monkeys saying' This is why there is no birth certificate'. You sound like a fool.
"And what would you call a failed racist city councilman from Cali calling the President and his daughters N*****s and calling for the whole family's assasination?"
A nut...
"You sound like a fool."
And you sound like a lunatic.
It is amazing how short the left's memory is in regards to the way they totally disrespected Bush.
Fortunately, we live in a country where we have the freedom to say what we want and thus have the responsibility of living with the consequences of what we say. Unfortunately, we live in a country where we have the freedom to say what we want and thus have to tolerate what idiots from both sides say.
The same person, or people that think the same way as this POS are your kind of people, are they not? So you're all nuts? Well good for you. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to getting cured.
JIT...
Thank you for being a living example of the second half of my statement.
Apparently you are trying to place the left in the same light as your teabagger brethren which is simply a ludicrous opinion. Are you actually trying to say the racist comments not only aimed at the president but the first lady and his children are as bad as the criticisms bush received? You have to be kidding, right? But you were right about one thing, freedom of speech does carry consequences. And that fact will most definitely be proven this November.
Boycott, Boycott, Boycott until he goes out pf business. This is 2012, not the 50's & 60's.
The man is a loser and should not be running any business if this is the way he feels about black people.
JIT...Actually, that is exactly what I am saying. Except I am not talking about the criticisms that Bush received, that comes with the job. I am referring to the vicious names that he was called by the left.
You guys love to dish it out, but when it comes time to taste your own medicine, you whine like little babies.
Do I agree with any of it? NO, but don't dish it out if you are not willing to take it.
There is criticism for the guy in office, which happens in every term regardless of who is in power and who is in opposition. But I do not remember the CONSTANT negativity of race or ethnicity or even religion coming up with any other president. Reagan was made fun of for his plastic smile and jellybeans. Carter with peanut jokes and for the drawl. Clinton attacked for womanizing. Bush called incompetent (something he milked, loving to claim his "C average" grades). But in NONE of those cases were the insults the level of absolute hate-mongering and racism that Obama has had to endure. I don't remember prior to tea-party rallies ANY president on posters depicted as apes. I don't remember respected national characters calling for death, viiolence or birth certificates like they do Obama. I don't remember the level of vitriol and racism directed at any other president. nigga this and nigga that. Calling our PRESIDENT a coon. WTH is wrong with people? Whether you like Obama or not, one must acknowledge that he managed to gain the degrees, write the papers, win elections and do what it takes to lead this country. He is qualified, whether you agree or disagree with his particular politics. And for people to continue to harass him with race is an absolute disgrace to this country.
Credit should be given to the Obama family for handling all of the negativity brought on by ... the color of their skin ... with grace in the face of such ignorance and hatred.
Don't like his policies? Fine. But leave the coons, the monkeys, the watermelons and the Klan out of it. Debate his policies on their merits and facts instead of parroting what you hear on the local news critique.
When the left is willing to leave out the personal attacks on Republicans, no problem. Need examples...go to Democratic Underground.
As I stated...disagreements with policy are to be expected...but at the same time, don't call people racists who are disagreeing with his policies.
You are very selective in regards to the derogatory comments that you choose to pick from for each president. do a very quick Google search and you will find lots of pictures equating presidents to monkeys. Obama is not the first.
Besides...if the Darwin theory is correct...all men and women, regardless of color, descended from apes.
Except when we on the left attack republicans it is because we have the dirt on them unlike you tea bagging republicans who will take anything and make up fake outrage over it. But leave it to you to ignore fact and put out your delusional fantasies.
"Except when we on the left attack republicans it is because we have the dirt on them unlike you tea bagging republicans..."
Right, sure you do- don't you know the Republicans say the same thing about you??? What are you, 12? Seriously, ALL sides think they're viewpoint is "THE TRUTH". Do you know what the German army's motto was in WWII? "Gott mit uns" (God is with us)- even THEY thought they were "right"! Grow up...
He could probably beat Romney for the nomination.
At least he's honest - unlike Mitch McConnell & co
I totally agree.
Honest or dumb. Or honest AND dumb.
You said it, ldinlove
I agree with the previous comment--we should all boycott his bar!!
Do you eat there now?
"Rico, have your parents ever taught you that racial slur and hate are not civil or reason?"
What kind of question is that? Of course. What does that have to do with someone having the right to say those things if they wish to?
Say, aren't the KKK on the FBI's watch list for domestic terrorism? If this establishment caters to Klansmen, then he's aiding and abetting domestic terrorists. The First Amendment doesn't cover that, paisano.
No he's not that's an incorrect interpretation of the law. If a terrorist action is taken and he assists them in the planning, execution, or escape from law enforcement then that's abetting. Speaking isn't not enough, there is the first amendment coverage. It is not illegal to be in the klan, or to be a racist.
"Say, aren't the KKK on the FBI's watch list for domestic terrorism?"
I just checked- no, they're not.
Reagan -1) He was a horrible "B" grade movie actor
2) He was a war-monger
3) He was senile
4) I don't know what kind of people you hang with, I know NO ONE who cheered on hearing of the assassination attempt.
Regardless, I also remember that other fellow with the jug ears that served right before Obama- what was his name? Well, he was a drunk, an imbecile, behind 9/11, etc., no? But I understand- Obama is YOUR guy, so anything said or done is "worse". That's human nature, I suppose.
"W" -1) He was a drunk - self admitted
2) He was not the sharpest tool in the shed.
3) He was not behind, however he did business with the Bin Laden Family since the 1970's - proven fact!
4) He did lie about WMD's - proven fact!
Obama -1) Involved with slum lords in Chicago
2) Has issued Executive Orders to basically suspend the Constitution & install Marshall Law - As ever President since FDR has.
He is "not my guy", but I think he have done better than any Republican would have.
"He is "not my guy", but I think he have done better than any Republican would have."
See, herein lies the problem- you bagged on Reagan, Bush, and a little bit on Obama- fair enough. As far as I'm concerned, the man who holds the office is just a PUBLIC SERVANT, so I don't foam at the mouth demanding "respect" like some folks on here. Unfortunately, you offered OPINIONS AS FACTS, which is where the trouble starts.
So Reagan was "a horrible "B" grade movie actor"? According to you, perhaps, but maybe not so someone else. He was the head of SAG, correct? Obviously, other perhaps more distinguished actors of the time held him in some sort of esteem, no? Why would they elect some clown to head their union? Regardless, what YOU think of his acting doesn't make it fact- just your opinion.
Now, for Bush: "He was not the sharpest tool in the shed."... or maybe that's the way he was portrayed in the media- ever think of that? What was his IQ- any idea? Again, your OPINION isn't fact, my man.
So basically, what YOU think past presidents suddenly becomes THE TRUTH, right? Guess what? REPUBLICANS THINK THE SAME THING! they think THEIR opinions are THE TRUTH, just like Democrats (of which I'll assume you are one) think the same about THEIR OPINIONS.
So who's "right"? How are we ever, as a nation, going to resolve our issues when both sides refuse to admit that they are as stubborn and incorrect as the other?
"hey Ric-O, what do you have for brain food?"
I'll tell you, if you tell me why you misspelled "Swing"...
Fair enough- I eat food high in protein, low on carbohydrates.
I just dont know what to say about this. The thing is, I do have a problem with the sign -- however my bigger struggle is that he feels so comfortable doing it. So that says a lot about the people in the community. He would not post that sign if he didnt feel there is a community of people supporting him.
The answer is simple he is a racist. Yes it is his first amendment right to say so.
A lot of haters from the right just use code words and usually don't say it so hateful. I was a child in the south when there was still segregation. My departed father was one of those haters and yes they feel very comfortable doing it.
One thing they can cling to is the fact that they are better than someone else for nothing more than the color of their skin. You can be any kind of drunk, hit your kids, white trash, lowlife and part of your self esteem and arrogance is built on the fact that you are better than someone else for nothing more than your color.
So they can never give President Obama credit for anything or it undermines their whole belief system.
Pretty sad when your self worth is based on your color instead of who you are. But, there are guy like that out there, just like my dad and just like the guy who put up the sign.
sad but also dangerous. he evidently wasn't taught morals or ethics growing up. the vicious cycle of hate continues in his neck of the woods it sounds-
It's simple, look her Georgia voted for in the primary, Newt. They're a bunch of racist rednecks. The fact that his bar is still in business after posting these comments proves my point.
Good point.
Guess we didn't burn the damn place far enough to the ground.
At least he's honest - unlike Mitch McConnell & co.
Apparently, Mr. Lanzo feels the need to use his freedom of speech to show the world how ignorant he is. I doubt if he can exercise this freedom with the absence of his ignorance showing.
Yea, and like my daddy always said; "There's so many ways of being a FOOL, it's hard to miss 'em all!". Seems this guy was either born one or raised as one; and by the looks of how comfortable he is with it, he'll probably die one.
I love America so much. And anymore, it seems I'm beginning to really, really almost hate some Americans.
And ill bet hes a Republictard or Tea baggie too...one thing they cant stand is the fact that a black man is in the white house...Awww too bad Cry babies hes going to be there another 4 years you better get used to it...
AMEN, brother!
Geez, it would be a shame if an accidental grease fire gutted your place someday. There's my freedom of speech you ignorant, racist waste of skin.
Well said Alison, accidents like that happen all the time in restaurants...
thank you guys when i read the post here i find the same love and respect i learned as a child, dont judge people by the color of their skin.i suppose there are those that dont know skin color cant determine how smart you are.when you listen to republicans talk at 54 i have never seen as much racist talk as they do now,its becoming more apparent that the whole problem with getting the country back on track is because we have a black man in office.they dont look at his white side cause he looks black and thats all that matters,it cant be said this man did what they could not.how his skin means to them he cant be smart, and as we can see they will tear down anything he does.again i would like to thank you all you give me hope and the world is a better place for you guys being here.thanks lisa
The first time that Mittens debates Mr. Obama is going to be something that is going to blow the GOP's mind. He is going to fold like a bad suit, my prediction is that he is going to lose his cool, and the wanna be king will be left standing in the lurch with his new clothes. I can't seem to get the idea out of my mine that the GOP will go to any length to win this election, remember Florida and "W"?
WOW.... no wonder we have problems..... God bless and look over the USA!
WE need help!
I have to agree w/ Sam Brees, there must be enough of the community that actually supports what this man has posted. It must really bother the owner and his patrons that a black man has worked hard to make it, and to the Presidency no less. I just don't get it.
I think he's upset that he hasn't made it as far as Obama has. After all, he's white.
Obama must be a constant reminder of how little he's accomplished.
How does the n word apply to Obams he is actualy half white,so the owner got it wrong it should be I dont allow half brreds if it was to apply to Obama.
And we get the usual tea bagging republican racist response, like somehow by looking at Obama you can see his white half. Good lord the ignorance of the right goes marching on. Then he goes onto the native American racist remark by calling Obama a half breed. Here is a clue if you define a person by the heritage of their fore fathers you are a racist.
Fact Obama is half white.
Actualy if you went by looking at him that would be racial profiling. We dont racial profile here in the USA. Refer to the Arizona law, no racial profiling is allowed.
High rolla, clearly you have not lived in the south. If you have 1 drop of black blood you are a n-word to them. The white part is not recognized by any of them in the south.
Think about it Thomas Jeffersons half white kids, they were still slaves.
VOTE FOR WOMEN'S FREEDOM....VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
We don't racially profile in the USA......lol...thanks for the laugh
I wonder if he put the "F" word on the sign, would the sheriff be able to do anything then?
I would say this is covered by any law against decency, vulgarity, discrimination and hate.
It is OK that children see this but can't know how their bodies work?
Uneducated animals! Nothing more frightening than ignorance!!
I would think this would qualify as hate speech, which is against the law.
You are so right Chris. In private he can be as ugly and deplorable as he wants to be. In public hate speech is against the law. The line between the two instances is clear. It is ignorant and hateful to be a racist at all and he has no right to post that kind of speech in public.
"I would think this would qualify as hate speech, which is against the law."
Which law is that and in which country?!?
"In public hate speech is against the law."
I'm sorry, but... are you crazy? I don't mean to be disrespectful, but what orifice did you pull that comment out of?!? Have you never heard of the KKK, Neo-Nazis, New Black Panthers, etc., and their very PUBLIC marches and speeches? I understand your frustration and repulsion at the sign, but why make things up in order to reinforce your repulsion?
Quote " I don't mean to be disrespectful, but what orifice bla bla bla " and " are you crazy ? " I would really hate to see when you ARE being disrespectful.

Hate speech is, outside the law, any communication that disparages a person or a group on the basis of some characteristic such as race, color, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or other characteristic.[1][2]
In law, hate speech is any speech, gesture or conduct, writing, or display which is forbidden because it may incite violence or prejudicial action against or by a protected individual or group, or because it disparages or intimidates a protected individual or group. The law may identify a protected individual or a protected group by race, gender, ethnicity, disability[3], nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity,[4] or other characteristic.[5] In some countries, a victim of hate speech may seek redress under civil law, criminal law, or both. A website that uses hate speech is called a hate site. Most of these sites contain Internet forums and news briefs that emphasize a particular viewpoint. There has been debate over how freedom of speech applies to the Internet.
Not to burst your bubble, but dig a little deeper- the Wikipedia entry does not apply to the US, no joke- our First Amendment doesn't have a "hate" speech clause or exception. The info you posted would be accurate if it was pertaining to Canada or Europe.
Wrong again but then when you are on the right that tends to be a trait. The vine for example has every right to censor your posts and they do. You also seem to forget that the US government censors words and images on the air waves.
Excuse me- the "right"? I was under the assumption that understanding the First Amendment was incumbent on ALL Americans. Regardless, the examples you list are erroneous- when you post to a website, you agree to their TOS- there is no "right" to post to Facebook, for example. As far as the Feds censoring the airwaves, there is no "right" to have a radio or TV program, either. Here, let me help you out-
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"
hate speech legal definition
noun
Speech not protected by the First Amendment, because it is intended to foster hatred against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual preference, place of national origin, or other improper classification.

"hate speech legal definition

I don't think you're understanding. Here, from the exalted "Wikipedia"
"In the United States, hate speech is legal (except for obscenity, defamation, incitement to riot, and fighting words).[52] Laws prohibiting hate speech are unconstitutional in the United States; the United States federal government and state governments are broadly forbidden by the First Amendment of the Constitution from restricting speech."
I don't think you're understanding. English.
hate speech legal definition
noun
Speech not protected by the First Amendment
But you go on defending it. You've obviously found a cause you believe in.
hate speech legal definition"
I tried to dumb it down for you, but I see that it's futile... there is no such thing as "hate" speech. You don't have to believe me- that's your prerogative. Legally, there is only "protected" speech and "unprotected" speech. Look at case law, something along the lines of, oh, "RAV vs St.Paul" for starters. I can't make you "intelligent"- you have to want it. And yes, I DO defend the Constitution, particularly the First Amendment. By the way, the "New World Law Dictionary" isn't Constitutional law- it just provides simple terms for people who can't grasp the legalese...
You're losing your grip. Now you've got nothing but insults.
Soon it'll be hate speech. You know, the kind you defend.
"You're losing your grip. Now you've got nothing but insults."
Sorry you find education "insulting". Again, I can't make you see what you choose to blind yourself to...
Hypocrite much ? Pot -- Kettle -- Black about being insulting :

So you've never heard of the KKK, Neo-Nazis, New Black Panthers, etc., and still maintain that "hate" speech is "illegal"?!?
It is really impossible to have a discussion with someone when all they do is keep repeating the same points that are not relevant to the comments they are responding to. But thanks for trying dear.
You should be in MY shoes- how do I explain the law of the land to someone who lives in a make-believe world where "bad" words are "illegal", despite all evidence to the contrary??? It's your right to live in that bubble, true, but when you spout nonsense like that as if it were fact, I just have to call you on it. Take heart- you have nowhere to go from here but up.

United States Free Speech Exceptions
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_free_speech_exceptions
Exceptions to free speech in the United States are limitations on the First Amendment's guarantee of free speech and expression as recognized by the United States Supreme Court. These exceptions have been created over time, based on certain types of speech and expression. . .
Here's the inherent problem- you need to get your nose out of Facebook and read case law and precedence. I asked a simple question to which you had no answer, so you respond with links that amount to opinion... Please, I've been down this road many times before. You're not the first person to clamor for censorship, but the pattern is the same. Give me an answer to this: if "hate" speech is illegal, why do the Nazis, Klan, etc exist, AND why do they march with police protection? Either I'm right, or you're right, but we can't both be right, so answer and we'll see.
I repeat :
Exceptions to free speech in the United States are limitations on the First Amendment's guarantee of free speech and expression as recognized by the United States Supreme Court. These exceptions have been created over time, based on certain types of speech and expression. . .
THIS IS the law to quote but you are not interested in truth. Have a nice life though.
I guess you should've read my posts to begin with- it would've saved you a lot of time and effort of searching and posting what I had already outlined hours before. Go up a few posts. You'll see this:
"Legally, there is only "protected" speech and "unprotected" speech. Look at case law, something along the lines of, oh, "RAV vs St.Paul" for starters."
What you're pointing out is "unprotected" speech, which not only am I already aware of, but which is also already narrowly defined. Oh, and "hate" speech doesn't fall under that category... in the US, anyway.
Hate speech is most certainly not illegal. Ric-O is quite correct have you never seen a documentary or show about the klan or something....n-words out the yin yang.....never by the police for that even at a public march. You can not, or at least shouldn't be, legally arrested for the saying you hate [insert racial slur(s)]
Now you can't say I'm going to murder this person in graphic detail that would be against the law...and could be considered hate speech since you'd hate the person you want kill....but that's not exactly the same as what this is talking about
Yet a guy in Michigan was tried and convicted for yelling a cuss word when his canoe was tipped over in a river and a religious family he couldn't see heard the man cuss and reported it to the police.
"Yet a guy in Michigan was tried and convicted for yelling a cuss word when his canoe was tipped over in a river and a religious family he couldn't see heard the man cuss and reported it to the police."
Did he appeal or contact the ACLU? Can't help those who don't want to help themselves...
I wonder if Mr. LANZO understands how the original Klan felt about Italians.
Come to think of it I wonder if Mr. Lanzo understands anything.
It's just sad that people remain so narrow minded. Sadder still that they'll pass it on to other people.
I always get a kick out of my African American friends when they say n please to each other. Im like you just called him the n word. So the best thing is to just not let words hurt. Sticks and stone my break my bones but words never hurt me. I once made the misstake of trying to go to a club with one of my African American friends, unfortunaly the owner had a sign up that said no crackers allowed. So needless to day I left but my friend contunied to go to that club.
"Jaw-Ja" Sorry, White, Trash!! How would he like to be called a WOP?? Onion Picker? Dago? Guinny? Spackone? Goom-bah?? I'll bet this S W T can dish it out,--but never Take it! Another Red State Redneck, that forgets that the South will NEVER Rise again; with Klansmen Kooks like this running "White Only", Lunch Counters!! Pitiful Puke and Pansy ass!
Countering "racist" comments with "racists" insults- brilliant! Hypocritical, but brilliant, nonetheless...
Oops! One "S" too many on the second "racist". Sorry...
Sorry calling a person on the actions they display is not racist it is just saying what that person is. Southern white trash describes the mind set of a group of people who display hatred of those not like them. Calling someone white trash is not racist because southern white trash are not being oppressed nor are their rights being limited in fact it is the same as calling someone a red neck. Batting 100% on being wrong, gee can you say a republican trait.
No passes for racism, sorry- "WOP?? Onion Picker? Dago? Guinny? Spackone? Goom-bah??"- THAT'S acceptable to you?!? If you want to be a racist POS, go ahead- it's a free country, but don't try to excuse it.
Taking words out of context and claiming that he is showing racism is not going to fly. He was using those words as an example of words that the owner of the restaurant might not like being called he was not using them to describe the persons heritage. Take your Karl Rove nonsense back to Fox.
No, doesn't work that way. The fact that you're supporting this dirt bag speaks volumes. Why aren't you supporting the guy who owns the bar, then? Same thing, except the race being denigrated is different...
Wrong again what that bar owner is doing is called segregation and is illegal in the US. If you own a business you are not able to say who your going to serve or who you are not going serve. Now certain republicans like Rand Paul want that law repealed to take us back to Jim Crow law days, but it isn't happening.
Here is the clue that you miss, HOW WOULD THAT GUY LIKE TO BE CALLED, he was not calling the guy those words he was asking how that guy would feel if someone did the same as the bar owner is doing. Why is it you righties have such a hard time understanding words. We keep trying to explain words that you use that doesn't fit the context you try to use them in. Your major problem is you bought into the Reagan lie that there is reverse racism, there is no such thing.
If you want to know how dumb the south is, they fly the confederate flag on 4th of July, lol.
"Wrong again what that bar owner is doing is called segregation and is illegal in the US."
Does he have separate seats for Whites and Blacks? Is he keeping Blacks out? Where do you get this stuff, seriously?!? As far as "reverse racism", you're right- there is no such thing: a racist is a racist, regardless of skin color or gender, as Minister Farrakhan proves every time he opens his mouth. I don't mind if you don't agree with me, but is it too much to ask that you do it with facts?
Really two wrongs don't make a right(the core of what Ric-O seems to be saying)...???...didn't know that was a controversial statement....I guess I missed that memo
Being a racist isn't quite illegal. Fact.
There are some rather backwards colonies down there, some places they call the civil war the war of northern aggression
This is revolting beyond words...I'm a populist southerner fighting the good fight my whole life, ever since my mom took her three little white children out of school in GA to march in MLK's funeral procession...I call myself The Dixie Dove and I could use your help! Check my site...
This guy's mother must be his aunt. He's an example of why the republican's do'nt want women to get abortions even in the case of incest. More republican votes!
where's my lighter fluid and matches

I am not a racist, I just like to call people with racist names. Priceless... just like Rick Perry and countless other Republicans: "hey, we don't mean what we say, we just like to say it, act upon it, and support it with legislation...other than that, we don't really mean anything by what we say and do"
You forgot "It was just a joke."
Believe it or not....I have friends that refuse to believe that race is not the issue with our president. Have you not noticed that in some reputable news reports that President Obama is referred to as Mr. Obama?? What is that??? Such a lack of respect for the office of the presidency!! I remember having to "swallow my tongue" to respect this office 4 yrs. ago when a "simpleton" ran it!!!
Yes, free speech sometimes includes appalling speech. Every country has really awful people, some have a MAJORITY of haters. At least it's comforting to know that things like this--which used to be the norm not too too long ago--now stand out. Unfortunately free speech means we have to endure the Phelps family, hateful "talk radio" jocks like Michael Savage, misogynistic and homophobic rappers like Eminem and 50 Cent, and so on... I think since this is a small town it won't spark the outrage that a larger business would attract.
