Ann Romney on Fox News Mar, 5 2012: "I don't consider myself wealthy"
In 1994 in an interview with the Boston Globe Ann Romney described her time at Brigham Young University. She said they were rough years:
"They were not easy years…Neither one of us had a job, because Mitt had enough of an investment from stock that we could sell off a little at a time."
“The stock came from Mitt’s father. When he took over American Motors, the stock was worth nothing. But he invested Mitt’s birthday money year to year — it wasn’t much, a few thousand, but he put it into American Motors because he believed in himself. Five years later, stock that had been $6 a share was $96 and Mitt cashed it so we could live and pay for education.”
Ann Romney describing her "not easy years" may ring out of touch with many in the middle class. In the late 1960's Ann and Mitt used inherited stock in order to pay for college. Just last year, the class of 2011 graduated on average $25,250 in debt.

She later goes on to describe Mitt's time at Harvard and how they were "living on the edge."
“Another son came along 18 months later, although we waited four years to have the third, because Mitt was still in school and we had no income except the stock we were chipping away at. We were living on the edge, not entertaining. No, I did not work. Mitt thought it was important for me to stay home with the children, and I was delighted.
As Governor, Mitt Romney advocated to make welfare recipients work even if they had children so they could know the "dignity of work." Her account explains Mitt wanted his wife to stay home even when were "living on the edge," and had no income.
Mitt and Ann may have some work to do to appeal to middle class voters. Mitt has said Ann owns a couple of Cadillacs, the plans of their La Jolla mansion complete with car elevators and saying Mitt's just not concerned with the very poor. He thinks they're doing just fine.
It just seems like they haven't the slightest idea. Ann Romney, after all 'doesn't even consider herself wealthy.'

The Rmoneys can't stop lying. Pretending to have lived the live of an average middle class family is simply outrageous. I am wondering how much student debt did each of the Rmoneys have.
Ann Rmoney,
Sorry, it's not Mitt's turn to be POTUS, nor it is yours to be our first lady. You don't deserve it. I can't wait November 6th, when the majority of the American people will tell to both of you to get the hell out of our sight and go away to the retirement palace you are building along the coasts of California.
Do you think the Obama's lived the life of an average "middle class" family,
while he was the "Poster Boy" for "Affirmative Action?"
Oh, wow.....I did it back then when things were cheaper, and there were no grants or loans.....it was pay as you go for me. I managed to work, scrip save, lay out a term....and finnally graduate.....get a real job and go back for the MA.
And I didn't marry for money either! /s/s/
do you think obamas daughters will ever have student debt?
Zooooooooooom right over the tea baggers head.
During his time in the Senate and while running for president, Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and is the top recipient of BP PAC and individual money over the past 20 years, according to financial disclosure records.

Zoooooooooooom right over your head again what don't you get? Just because oil companies make contributions to democratic candidates doesn't mean they get a free ride, democrats are not republicans.
According to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, Republicans receive far more campaign money from the oil and gas industry than do Democrats.
So far in 2010, the oil and gas industries have contributed $12.8 million to all candidates, with 71% of that money going to Republicans. During the 2008 election cycle, 77% of the industry's $35.6 million in contributions went to Republicans, and in the 2008 presidential contest, Republican candidate Sen. John McCain received more than twice as much money from the oil and gas industries as Obama: McCain collected $2.4 million; Obama, $898,000.
This is a decades-long trend, the center says: Since 1990, oil and gas companies have donated $238.7 million to candidates and parties, with 75% of the money going to Republicans.

Indeed because Obama's being half black would mean he'd never be smart enough on his own to go college. It's lovely when you guys keep exposing the world view you're coming from. So Mitt earned everything he has and got nothing special at all from his father's name and Obama earned nothing and got handouts. Good talk.
It's a shame for the Obama campaign you're not running for president.
Better question are Obama's daughters running for president this year. Distraction rejected.
The Romney's once again are trying to pretend they've struggled financially. This quite funny so the both of them decided to not go to work because they could sell the stock Mitt's father gave him.......oooh no what hardship. So you could spend as outrageously as you do now but that doesn't mean you struggled. Oh no my family only took two vacations this year....boo hooo.....you're not struggling. Struggling means you have a financial situation such that you don't enough money that you need to survive or are just barely able to get by......that means you either can't find work or you already are choosing not to is not struggling.
Some people wanted champagne and caviar when they should have had beer and hot dogs. Dwight D. Eisenhower
The spirit of man is more important than mere physical strength, and the spiritual fiber of a nation than its wealth. Dwight D. Eisenhower
Who does Ann Robme think she is fooling !!!!!!!! I know it's not me!!!!!!!! And I know it's not most of you!!!!!!!
It's sure as hell not me.
That reminds me of a story: There once was a poor child who asked her mum, "Whatever do the poor kids do who don't have all this nice newspaper to stuff in their windows?"
Wealth is so relative......however...Ann, $250,000,000,000 would be considered wealth by most. Get real.
Oh, I can sell off a little stock here and there to get by, please pour me another class of whine.....
India....
Romney's wealth is estimated at $250 Million... You have him at $250 BILLION...
This would make him 5 times as wealthy as both Koch brothers COMBINED... He could buy his OWN country...
Easy on the zeroes, OK? <s>
David, I think he and Koch are trying to do that. The trouble is they want American with a built in Slave supply.....
Its ok India, I don't knoiw how to count that high either. If I had to write a check with more than 4 zero's after it, I'd be sure to make a mistake. Makes me nervious.
Romney's wealth is estimated at $250 Million.
and now we know why he doesnt want to release any tax returns.
A> he is wort so much less?
B> wort a whole lot more?
C> way to many off shore bank accounts to hide.
D> he dosent want the IRS to know he has cheated on his returns for years.
E> all the above or a combo of any
Ann Romney considered she was living on the edge because they were living off the dividends from stock, didn't have to work and she couldn't entertain.
That settles it. She's as clueless as her husband.
She's not only never worked a day in her life, she's never thought a day in her life, either.
Let's figure out this wealth thing about Mitt. If he just turned 65, like me, then he should have gone to college in the mid- to late-60's, like me. If the stocks that he got from his father were valued at $6/share at the time that he received them but he sold them at $96/share then he had a 1,600% increase in the value of the stock. If the stock that he got from his father was valued at $1,000,000. (I figure that he had about 167,00 shares, more or less), then he had about $16,000,000. in value to sell. Not rich? By 60's standards he was filthy rich. When I went to school tuition per semester was only $235./semester, so just to go to school he had to sell, 3 shares per semester, if he went where I went(he didn't). He still seems to be filthy rich by what I can tell. Sorry Annie you were and still are filthy rich. You are still a 1%er.
ridiculous
Yea you are!!!!
I worked my way through college, bussing and waiting tables for the University Food Service restaurant. My father gave me nothing. While I was in Graduate School, I taught, tutored and graded calculus papers for the Math Dept. then interned for the military agency I would later program for...
Poor Ann... Poor Mitt... Having such a HARD time in College...
Amen, David. Our parent figured if we wanted it, we would find a way and we did.
I'm so sick of hearing how bad off ann and willard were......whaa whaa whaa.
Gee David, I'm surprised Whom hasn't appeared to call you on bragging :)
That was a joke.
I have almost the same story as you do. Worked my way through as well. My parents weren't wealthy, but when they offered to pay my way I refused because I knew I would take it more seriously if I paid for it myself. I recognized the recklessness of my youth at the time and knew I'd blow it off if someone was paying my way.
My undergrad degree is in Computer Science as well. My graduate degree is in the arts because I left software engineering to pursue a career in photography and later cinematography, which is what I'm doing now. Looking back the art degree didn't really help me get started in my current career, but having it will be nice when I want to slow down and teach.
Agree that the Romney's didn't have it very rough, even though they may say so.
as a footnote I enjoy your poetry very much btw
Yes, David, I got too many zeros in there. I meant 250 million. It is so seldom these days that I write checks for a million or more that I forgot how many zeros it takes! My bad....LOL
Did you get my message about the U of PA's free on line poetry class this Fall?
Ed. Are you suggesting that because they had some stock given to them by his fathers and that the stock supported them during their college years they were wealthy? Believe it or not parents are very giving when it comes to their children. Obama just reported giveing his daughters a total of 48K on his taxes this year. Both he and Michelle each give each of their daughters 12K. I am Middle Class and have given my son 12K every year for the past three years. There is something wrong when you demonise a person for paying their way through college without Government assistance. That doesn't make them wealthy. I would also like to know why you thinkl Obama understands the Middle Class, I doubt he has every worked a 40 hour work week building something. I would bet the only time Obama has ever sweat was when he was playing golf or basketball. It just occurred to me that when Obama said we had all those shovel ready projects, Obama didn't know what a shovel was. Do you think Obama has ever had blisters on his hands as the result of a had days work?
You lose that bet.
Larry
Have you been watching Fox today? They've been playing Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" off and on all day.
It's a great tune.
2ez - Ed is simply playing the class warfare card - one of the many distraction angles (war on women, Mitt's dog, etc) he and other leftists play to distract us from real, important issues.
Have you been watching Fox today? They've been playing Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" off and on all day.
smiling that could mean good news,, as most radio stations that are going off the air or changing formats usually do the same thing pick one song and keep playing it over and over.
thanks maybe FSPEN is going to change into a real journalist news organisation.
LMAO at my self for even thinking such a thing.
"most radio stations that are going off the air or changing formats usually do the same thing pick one song and keep playing it over and over."
No they don't, but nice try anyway.
Well of course. The only way you'll get any praise around here is if you go with the herd and rely on the government. Self-reliance is becoming pretty unpopular.
Say you did it yourself and paid your own way and you're either tagged a liar or a braggart.
See, this is what is so great about Romney. No matter how stupid the things are that he says, you numbskulls will twist yourselves out of shape trying to justify it. You just can't distance yourselves from an idiot if he's a rightwinger.
And now you have to defend Ted Nugent.
Ted Bundy was a Republican. Why don't you defend him?
You think I'm justifying Romney? Let me go on record right now and say I think Romney is a liar and a crook and the Republican party should be ashamed if this is the best they've got.
Is that clear?
Good for you.
Thank you. I think the Nuge is a psycho too fwiw.
Neo-conservatives will pretend that folks have a problem with romney because of class warfare(I thought we weren't using the war because it's too "strong"...wonder where that went) but this is about Romney's phony narrative. You can play stupid but it is clear Romney is trying to cast himself as an average joe he never has been.
Continue to be blinded by the phony class warfare narrative lefties hate rich people yet love Obama who you claim is rich.....tip:pick only one side of an arguement and stick with it.......the lack of logic is astounding
Romney is wealthy and always has been the problem is he will not admit that. Again play stupid if you like but the cracks in his story are quite clear. Selling stock which is worth enough to where you don't have to work because you get off selling the aforementioned stock is not struggling.
Precisely, and people should be scared that he can be this flagrant of an overt liar and still be a contender for being the President.
That said, Obama claims his concerns are for the middle class but is wealthy himself, albeit not nearly as wealthy as Romney, so I'm not sure this makes him any more honest. There are a host of problems I have with Obama which are well documented here so there's no need for me to repeat them.
Sorry but this is a two sided coin and both sides of it stink. What's infuriating to me is that there is no real choice here, it's just a lesser of two evils situation and neither of these guys have a clue about what it's going to take to bring us back from the brink.
Agreed I don't see Romney making drastically different decisions than Obama. Romney is a moderate, a good thing yet like his wealth he will not admit it although it's quite clear. As long we don't have a dominionist on the GOP ticket I think things will be.....okay...or realistically not terrible.........
At the same time this is looking more and more like 2004. Lackluster, lacking enthusiasm candidate challenging a troubled but not trully hated president.
It's also showing similarities to 2008. Boring candidate looking for "exciting" vp candidate to help bring energy. I hope they learned their lesson that "excitement" does not override vetting.
Chiltown muscle,
Well, common sense should tell you that doubling down on the failed policies of GWB is not going to be the answer. Indeed, the Romney/Ryan plan will raise the deficit and the unemployment rate. It will plunge many into poverty, as well. Romney had a terrible job creating record when Governor of Mass. Romney became wealthy as a corporate raider, They END jobs. Obama has done quite well with the obstructionists he faced constantly in the GOP congress. I'm frankly surprised he was able to make a DENT in the mess Bush left him.
You may be interested in a link on my avatar page: 45 signs ...etc. It is bi-partisan. I was a Huntsman supporter, but will go with Obama. I really liked Jon Huntsman. I despise Romney.
India to be fair Mass. lost very few jobs by comparison to others, it was the midwest that got raided because of outsourcing these past few years Mass. being one of those lefty sodomite evil states has many more educated workers so like many other states in that condition didn't get hit as hard.
Romney was born wealthy and as a Bain Capital exec....or whatever title he had....they gambled with other people's money few of the righties claiming Mitt has business experience seem to realize that
Mitt got wealthy taking no risks in risks, he made money shoving the costs of failure onto investors and government. This is what happend to those companies they turned around and sold and then turned back around into failure.
Obama hasn't made a dent in the debt mess and no president or congress ever will because it is too high to ever be paid off. I will bet what will happen eventually is that they'll disolve the corrupt and idiotic banking authority which as of now runs off fictional amounts of money. Does anyone else realize all this money we "owe" doesn't represent anything in reality it only exists because we say it does?
CC
so the debt holdings of say Great Briton, China etc are fiction and they won't mind not being paid off? Just wondering. Also same i guess with all the private owners of T bills and US bonds?
Oh they'll want to be paid off, they do want their money and we will never be able to pull that off luckily the money we own is not real it's imaginary
the world banking system as it stands deals in fake money, the currency we're talking about is imaginary as opposed to being ensured by precious metals
is it just me but does anyone find it odd that the u.s. and europe are in debt up to our eyeballs when we're the richest societies in the world.....if we're in so much debt then what would a country like tanzania have
t
mitt romney didn't pay his way through college-HIS FATHER DID. not everyone is born into wealth, yet they still have the desire and need to go to college to have a better future for themselves, for their children, AND FOR THIS COUNTRY. our country benefits when we help our children.
Cynicalcitizen, On jobs creation, when governor of Mass, he was 47th out of fifty in creating jobs.
Larry, Why would I lose the bet? Did Obama work in a factroy, was he a fast order cook, or perhaps in construction, in his early life? Even better than three years into his administration we know little of the man. He was raised by his grandmother, went to college and law school, when to Rev. Wrights church, was a community organizer, and a Senator. I seen only one article he wrote while editor of the law review and have never scene his college transcripts. I don't even know how he paid for college. Did he ever work for a living, if so where and when? What did he do to support himself prior to college and during college? Do you know or have any idea? I personally would like to know.
I my self had a paper route as a child and I mowed lawns in the neighborhood. I was worked at Jack in the Box, Kelly Moore Paints, at a Roller Skating Rink, and drove a truck for a roofing company, all before my eighteen birthday. Why is it I doubt Obama had a similar work history? I dont believe Obama has any idea what it is to be middle class or what middle class values are.
Cynical - to be clear "neo-conservatives" like myself don't believe that lefties hate all rich people, just conservative rich people. Lefties love rich liberals who tell them what they want to hear. For example, the left loves Warren Buffett - and the his phony "Buffet Rule" and his poor secretary (who makes a very cushy 6 figure salary). If Mr. Buffet was serious about paying his "fair" share, why is he in a dispute with the IRS about multi-million dollar tax bill?
You have to understand Cynical - Obama cannot run on his record, the magic of 2008 is gone, so this election will be about pointing blame at others and distraction issues. Look at Ed's posts - they include Romney's dog, Romney's car elevator, Romney's wealth, etc. If Obama's record was great then the left would be talking about that.
I heard a great line the other day - and it summed up the plan to attack Romney...
The left wants you to be more concerned with what Romney does with his own money, than what Obama is doing with yours.
" Obama cannot run on his record, the magic of 2008 is gone"
why?
i say you lose that bet big time as well.
and its up to you to prove he can not run on his record not me.
Pilotshark - by no means am I assuring a Romney victory, in fact I believe there is a very good chance Obama will win a second term. It is going to be a close election, I will bet on that.
My point being - Obama's biggest asset in 2008 was he was the fresh faced, young, handsome, charming anti-Bush. You know I am not an Obama fan, but I agree he can come across as a likable, everyman and he is great politician. However, he also didn't have a record in 2008 - he does now and to many people, and more importantly many people who are up in the air - the thought is "well, where is everything he promised or everything we expected?"
Like I said before Pilot - the Obama campaign and the left in general wouldn't need all these distraction issues like I mentioned above if Obama could run on his record - why wouldn't he want to run on a great record? The economy will be issue #1 - if the economy still stinks then nobody is going to care about contraceptives, or Romney's dog, or any other number of non-issues.
You need to understand to - this election won't be decided by guys like me and you, those loyal to their specific party, they are decided by middle of road people - and I just do see them coming out for Obama like in 2008.
"and its up to you to prove he can not run on his record not me" - I can't predict the future, this is an opinion - feel free to prove me wrong if you can.
"the Obama campaign and the left in general wouldn't need all these distraction issues like I mentioned above if Obama could run on his record - why wouldn't he want to run on a great record? "
Thanks,
true, but its not the Obama Administration placing all these distractions. so that part you are correct with, as he has been running on record, its the extremist on the right needing all the distractions.
as we all know they do not have nothing to run on, only how they have filibusterer things that would easy pain for all Americans, or just out right obstruct, sabotage etc...
2ez4u2c2- well said
We appeare to be experiencing technical difficulty due to the excessive troll BS flowing today. Stay tuned, we are working on the problem.

In the late 60's even when gas was cheap driving to Canada emptied my wallet and the Mittstir was able to run off to France for 30 months go to college avoid the draft get hitched and turn in stock certificates ...... yaaa that's pretty tough alright Ann ! I can't wait to hear the next Paris Hilton hard ship story from the Romney's .
Yeah cause you know Joe worker gives his kids a few thousand in stocks for college living expenses out of their kids birthday money. Now just forget that part of the CEO's salary is in stocks and bonds and Romney is just another poor middle class student barely squeaking by waiting tables, oh wait thats right neither Ann Nor mittens worked in college. Lying republicans.
You mean he went on a Mormon mission in France, that many, if not all Mormons are required to do? Not just the "rich" ones.
The Romney's are what is to be referred as "OLD MONEY" Oh please don't tell me he was a poor black child in the ghetto story But he is most defiantly.....The JERK!
They are most certainly not required to be in a foreign country, Mitt went to France to dodge the draft. Seems pretty clear that was the motivation.
Seabeck Sam, I have heard that at times they actually did without Beluga caviar. My heart goes out to kids who have to struggle like that.
NO caviar....those poor, poor children.....Romney's really know what it's like to be destitute don't they..........
yea hes a daftdodger,spineless
and mitt even had to lie about his hard times in France, where he had to use a bucket to pee and poop in.
so guess he can say mission accomplished.
Queen Ann looks as if she had a boob job, And married him!
Good one!
XX XOOO They're a pair, aren't they!
I mean she and the boob she married. LOL
xxx
I hate to say it but that is pretty funny. i didn't know you had it in you.
If Mitt win he is so vain that he would change the name of the capital to Romneytown!
whom
Will you be handing your kids stocks and bonds to pay for their education?
Really what has that got to do with the topic? Oh I get it your searching for flame war. In fact my life is none of your business, I am not running for the office of president nor am I pretending to be something I'm not. Really the one you should be asking is Mittens and why he keeps trying to be a regular Joe worker, he isn't.
Whom
This clown wants to make everybody's life his business. He's tried it on 3 other blogs. Banned from one. He'll tell you how you should live. He knows. WRONG
If mittens was a regular joe worker I wouldn't want him in the White House. I want someone that knows how to make money, manage money and spend money.
We have a regular joe now and he hasn't done you a bit of good.
Did he raise taxes on the rich to pay for your free health care yet???????? LOL
Right because the GOP has a history of good sound economic policies based on their business experiences. Really funny when you take into account that GWB and Herbert Hoover were the only two republicans elected that had anything to do with business. GWB in fact was so great at business he bankrupted an oil company. There is no free health care the public option never made it to the health care reform bill. DDE was a general, Nixon was a career politician, Reagan was a third rate movie actor and Bush 41 was in the CIA.
That's right there is no free healthcare.................there never will be. Barry had his nanny state dream but it's all over now.
Right and you have Ronnie Rainbow land where the wealthy trickle down on you. Poor delusional flamer just can't get over himself thinks he is starting a flame war but instead it just makes us laugh that Ronnies delusions were contagious, you all suffer from delusions of grandeur.
Why should we pay for others lack of insurance? Individual mandate(republican idea before they tried to shake that from the record) seems to solve a bit of that. No one would pay nothing.
They haul in $53,000 a day for doing nothing and she doesn't think of herself as rich. Give me a break! Ann, lying will make your nose grow. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Ann Romney, "living on the edge", what did you and your husband do, drink coffee? I guess it's a whole different meaning when you're Mormon.
Guys,
You're missing an interesting statement by Ann--between son#2 and son#3 they waited FOUR years---hmmm, did they use hormonal birth control? So, if Mitt supports the Personhood amendments--and they used the Pill--Ann and he are guilty of murder.
IOKIYAR is the name of the game
Nurse Judy~ I noticed that too. It could have only been two ways--either they used birth control or abstained and I can't see Mittens going without for that long. So BC is alright for them, but not the rest of us peons, huh?
Are you kidding me?? Ann Romney and her college going husband was chipping away at there stocks?? get a life or get another line lady. That lady has no idea what's its like to support a husband while he goes to college.. Try working eight hours a day coming home to fix dinner (which a lot of the time might be eggs sandwhiches on a good week), clean house, take care of two son's making sure your husband is comfortable, this dear lady is living on the tail of low income.. Gee whiz, tired of listening on how poor they are trying to act when we all know all he had to do was ask his daddy for his allowance for the month..
t
Hey Takers, where was the envy, and hate for the Kennedys ? Oh, I get it, the Kennedys were real troopers for giving you other people's money. Right ! Notice Ted the murderer never gave up his money.
Ever heard a Kennedy whine constanly about paying too much taxes? Thats the difference. Not suprising that got by you.
Yes I have and watched while JFK did something bout it.
And this got by you, the top 1% pays 40 % of all taxes;
The top 5 % pays 60 % of all taxes
The top 10 % pays 70 % of all taxes
The top 25 % pays 87 % of all taxes
The top 50 % pays 97 % of all taxes
It is time that some in society get off the wagon and start pushing like the rest of us!
And 95 % of all statistics are dreamed up on the spot (including this one). :)
Also, the top 1% would be 3.2 million people, not just a handful of billionaires.
Wonder how many times Ms. Romney had to actually scratch around in her cupboards to found any scrap of food and ending up making supper for her children with the last potato and a can of vegetable, now this is struggling, and millions do it every day.
And her husband thinks the Ryan’s budget is marvelous, Even the church is against Ryan budget
http://www.tnr.com/blog/jonathan-cohn/102746/catholic-bishops-protest-ryan-republican-budget-cuts-food-stamps-poor
Wonder why the Romney's didn't put off having children until they could afford it? Oops, can't do that, do they believe in birth control or don't they (hard to figure considering Mitt's flip flopping on that subject)! Everyone struggled, including me, through college. I sold everything I possibly could, including jewelry to pay as I went, worked (3) part-time jobs at minimum wage and drove a car with holes in the floorboards to get to and from. Cry Romney's cry....no heart-strings pulled here!
First, the Republicans did not try to take anyomes birth control away;
Now that you worked hard rather then becoming a ward of the state, you will help your chlidren with college, as they will help your grandchildren some day.
Selfreliance is what it is about, and this is a nightmard for all liberals because they love dependency !
See mr self reliant reaganomics, in 1970 you could work your way through school, your detachment of the realities of todays youth is truly disturbing but it comfirms republican detachment from reality.
So denying education healthcare and food makes people work hard right? or does it drive the poor to the only economic incentive resulting from the reagan revolution the drug trade, its the only increasing investment america has made, and the problem isnt solved its republican big government, charging the goverment to solve the problem.
Its idiots like you that would waste 50k/year to keep one person in jail for selling a few hundred bucks of drugs, instead of sending 3 to college. The fool policies of the 1980s did not create jobs, cutting taxes caused the debt to form, as a matter of fact half the running deficit is now the 'bush' cuts, a revival of the voodoo economics papa bush talked about in the 80 election. If tax cuts paid for themselves and cutting taxes created jobs, we would open the boarders to let in workers for all the unfilled jobs and there would be a budget surplus. the problem with republicanism is delusion from reality.
look at the statistics, states that teach abstinence have the highest teen pregnancy rates, its a fool ass political position derived from hatred and emotion devoid of logic and reason.
I don't understand how people think that Mitt Romney has better ideas on how to improve
the economy. All Romney does is tell lies and double down on them. The latest is where he
went to Ohio and made it sound like the drywall plant went under under Obama, when
it really went under while Bush was still in office. Romney keeps saying that sure the
economy was bad when Obama took office, but Obama made it worse. That is an outright
lie. Just go to google and look up the monthly job growth graph, or go to the maddow blog.
There is a graph there. Even Newt Gingrich said “What kind of man would mislead, distort
and deceive just to win an election? This man would: Mitt Romney. Romney said he has
always voted Republican when he had the opportunity. But in the 1992 Massachusetts
Primary Romney had the chance to vote for George H.W. Bush or Pat Buchanan, but he
voted for a liberal Democrat instead.”
Romney said his investments in Fannie and Freddie were in a blind trust. But, as reported
in the National Journal,Romney earned tens of thousands of dollars from investments NOT
in a blind trust. Romney denied seeing a false ad his campaign used to attack Newt Gingrich.
But Romney’s own campaign paid for the ad…and Romney’s own voice is on the ad approving

If we can’t trust Romney in a debate, how can we trust him in the White House?
I copied these remarks from abc news blog The Note: 1/27/2012
The former Florida Govenor being truthful on Alex Wagner today was refreshing
to hear from a Republican.
When Romney keeps lying, He thinks that if he says it enough times people will
believe him! The bad part is that some people do believe it just because he keeps
saying it. Go to google and look up if what he is saying is a lie or not.

If you want to see the Clown that Mitt and all the other Mormons follow and call a prophet, go to youtube and watch the video " Jesus Christ or Joseph Smith" Anyone that could follow that guy should not be anywhere near The White House!
I call myself a Republican, but may scratch my vote for president. The Republicans again have no viable candidate. Romney is being shoved down the collective throats of the Republicans. The only economy he has ever improved is his own, on the backs of countless people who lost their jobs. There are so many Republicans speaking against him it is hard to understand how he is getting so many "votes".
