I love how the GOP is pretending it respects the judiciary and the president doesn't especially after Newt Gingrich unveils his belief that judges who make rulings he or someone else isn't fond of that they should have to be summoned to testify and basically bullied around
or that the founders intended the judiciary to be the weakest branch of government not equal
or that activist judges are destroying american society, or judges shouldn't have the right to rule measures passed by congress null and void if they violate the constitution
or that judges aren't policy makers and have no right to speak about the things congress does or they call it "undo" the will of the people
or that we should end "judicial supremacy"
and the list goes on and on........these are all things the GOP has said and can easily be found on video, print and anyother form of record going back for decades. This is another example of the GOP demonizing things it has supported and or done in the past

I'm glad the word is getting out how dangerous ALEC is to this country. We need to scream it from the rooftops until everyone in the US knows about them. I'm glad Coke and Pepsi got smart, but Walmart is sticking by them. I guess they figure the poorer we get and have to save money, they will be the only game in town. So they don't have to leave ALEC. But while we're talking about Iran, this is not new just because it's getting more media airtime as of late but this has been progressing for well over a decade. The Iranians have been working on this a long time even before GW came into office and frankly nuclear technology isn't actually complicated and the people are not stupid so they should have had the bomb years ago
Remember that Iran has been pursuing this for a long time and that GW got nothing meaningful done to hinder their progress, granted there were other issues going on but regardless he still got nothing. Those who've been following this story know that stopping the Iranian nuclear program for good would have had to occurred under GW. All we can do now is delay using sanctions that obama has passed, the Iranian economy is actually suffering because of that....and that's not proganda or bluffing.....it is having a real impact. Why do you think the Iranians have been pretending they close middle eastern water ways? They are hiding some other plot as always it is all a distraction because the Iranians know they have spent too much on the nuclear material itself to quite at this stage

ALEC represents everything that is wrong with American politics today. Today you can draw direct lines between recently passed Legislation and their corporate sponsors. Today any one of those corporate sponsors can run giant Super Pacs for their candidates that do their bidding. Throughout history there has always been shady things happening within our government; they just weren't so blatant. Another time in history, these things may have seemed criminal, maybe even treasonous but today.......it's just everyday politics. The thing that amazes me? Even with all of the obvious corporate motivations and nonsensical rhetoric within the Republican Party, they still represent about half of the electorate. Democrats and Independents need to get out to vote this election.....there is way too much at stake!
