MSNBC's Thomas Roberts speaks with Hogan Gidley, Santorum's National Communications Director, about the mounting pressure on Rick Santorum to bow out of the race.
Republicans in two states and Washington, D.C. are picking their next presidential nominee today. Polls in Maryland and Washington will close just as Ed goes on the air tonight (at 8pET) and he’ll have first results on The Ed Show.
The polls close an hour later in Wisconsin at 9pET. Can Rick Santorum survive a defeat there?
Steve Schmidt, MSNBC Contributor and Republican Strategist, former Senior Advisor to Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign, and Richard Wolffe, MSNBC Political Analyst, will weigh in on tonight's big election [note: polls close in Wisconsin at 9 p.m.; Ed will have a live update at 11pET and, of course, you can always get all the latest results on The Ed Show blog].
President Obama lights up the Republican budget like a pinball machine, saying it's nothing more than thinly-veiled social Darwinism.
Tonight, Ed will have the politics of the president’s epic takedown with Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD) and Eugene Robinson, MSNBC Analyst and Associate Editor and Pulitzer Prize winning Columnist for the Washington Post.
And Ezra Klein, Washington Post Columnist and MSNBC Policy Analyst, breaks down the numbers.
An arrest is made in connection to the Wisconsin Planned Parenthood bombing. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney unzips a new strategy to win female voters. Terry O’Neill, President of The National Organization for Women, weighs in on that and the Republican war on women.
A pair of violent tornados slam through north Texas, and entire neighborhoods in Dallas-Fort Worth are destroyed. Lt. Tim Jones, Public Information Officer for the Johnson County, Texas, Sheriff’s Office, will report from the ground.
And the Big Finish tonight, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has been absent from the campaign trail as the GOP candidates toured his state. John Nichols, Washington Correspondent of The Nation, explains why Walker might be the one avoiding them!

Icky Ricky will drugs on. and on. Keep going its not good for Mitt! And he don't like it as he spends more and more endless PAC money...
Obama has turned up the heat on the GOP and its about time!
It must be very depressing to admit to yourself your not liked better than Romney! He will have to go to God and ask WHY WHY WHY! And a voice answers BECAUSE YOU WEAR SWEATERS WITH NO SLEEVES!!! And your geekie freaky!
Rick wants more time to spread his manure out in more places.

TM, Manure is the right word for what he spews. Thank heaven Wisconsin finished him off. If he's cocky enough to come here to PA, his home state, I hope he loses. He says he's from S. Western Pa., Butler is NORTH. I live in SW PA.!
It is so hard to say which of these two lying pieces of $#@* I dislike more!, him or Robme!
Rick Santorum can not win this. Asking whether or not Santorum can survive a defeat tonight is a stupid question because even if he wins tonight he will still never be the nominee. So we can thank god that Rick won't be allowed to ram his god down our throats. Santorum is a radical dominionist, he is a theocrat with no economic experience, no foreign policy knowledge.
This man like Palin and Bachmann has been quite helpful though to the coutry because he has been quite successful at introducing the nation to the roots of what the far right social conservative teavangelical dominionists believe. We can thank Rick for exposing the prevalence and radical ideas that have been allowed to hide on the sidelines and take root in the corpse of what once was a great party. Santorum has shown just how crazy dominionists are better than anyone could have done on their own.
Rick being catholic has decided to go the opposite route of JFK and make it clear that unlike Kennedy he'll take all his orders from the vatican. We need a commander in chief not a cardinal in chief.
CC: Maybe after tonight we can get Mitt to baptise him and give him the last rites!
Ditto to cynicalcitizen -- Rickie is the worst man for this country because he will kill the people earning less than 200k and impose his religious rule over this country. He will take away from the 99% and give all to the 01%.
