Two tornadoes touched down south of Dallas this afternoon, tossing tractor-trailers hundreds of feet into the air. Crumpled orange tractor trailers were later visible in a Dallas County parking lot.
The National Weather Service is reporting "considerable damage" in suburbs south of Dallas and Fort Worth. In Lancaster, south of Dallas, local television footage showed homes without roofs while other buildings were flattened.

My step son was just telling me about this on the phone. Struck Arlington, Texas where he lives, but not in the area of his home......This freaky weather is starting again.

In the 90's I lived in Richardson Texas which was in the center of all these storms today. Hopefully, everyone is okay. I have not heard from my old neighbors or friends yet...
This "freaky weather" as one person put it is exactly what an organization that I have been involved with since the early 1980s showed would happen as a result of our denial of man made pollution and those to afraid or ignorant to realize something as simple as cause and effect. I am talking about Physicians for Social Responsibility founded many yeas ago. They were the first, to my knowledge to map, literally show how global warming would effect the US and all the "freaky weather" we are seeing now were shown in that map way back then and it is astonishing how accurate they were. So, I am not surprised at the "freaky weather" but I am surprised at how fast it is coming down the pike. It has been over thirty years since then but here we are and there are still those who think or don't think at all about each individual's responsibility to do whatever we must to save life on our beautiful planet so that our children and grandchildren have a planet to live on, clean water to drink and air to breathe. This is no science conspiracy, it is scientific truth and it is hard to say ok, I guess we will all have to make some necessary changes in the way we live. But then there are so many still in denial that things are not looking up at all, things are looking pretty bad. I am not happy to see 18 wheelers flying over Dallas, TX. I am not happy to see the arctic perma frost melting and the oceans rising. When will we wake up? Who knows. So sit back and watch the planet die. It is those with lazy minds that are the worst right next to those who make money from destroying what is left of the beautiful blue planet we live on.

I put up my Snow Avatar from this morning....this is what my front yard looked like...Now it is almost gone..... We have relative all over the Dallas Fort Worth area, so we have had the phone line hot, checking on every one..... This is amazing to see.
TM I live in MN we had maybe 6-8 in of snow this year. We had 80 degree in March. There is only two words for this climate change. That is what Mn is supposed to look like.
I'll give it back to you. We have had an unusual amount of snow this year. Last week it was llike spring....this has been an up and down for the last 3 months. Would that word be Global warming?

Palmquist, For the Nay Sayers who say we do not have Global Warming , I say strap in and Hold on. Storms will become more severe. The summers will keep getting Hotter ! Its real and we will have those that will pay millions to have It covered up.

More like a war zone, sister-in-law said they are still going on, they are in their storm cellar. Did you see the story in St. Louis about the wild turkey that got lose in his house.....now that looked like a tornado hit it.
