I Most Certainly Hope and Expect Soooooo !!!!!! Not To Mention ALL Of The Other CRAP That THEY Have Been Doing To AMERICANS !!!!!!!! Homeland Terrorists THEY ARE !!!!!
This may one of the many reason that will cost them the white house. The Republicans policies leave a lot to be desired.......
The war on women ALONE may not cost the GOP the White House, but when you add that to the wars on the poor, the elderly, and the sick... I can only hope the GOP will be crying all over their copies of Paul Ryan's proposed budget.
These Goofball gop-tea-baggers Are Just Wallowing Within The Realm Of INSANITY !!!!! And THEY Are The Ones In Control Of MOST Of The Money In This Country = SAD !!!!!!!!
It is not just a proposed budget, the House republicans have already passed it. They are being lambasted by their constituents across the country.
Don't forget the wars on homosexuals, environment, labor, education, and whatever else frightens them.
Funny how the Tea Party sucked all the prejudice out of the Democrat party and increased the average IQ.
They drew there line in the sand against women. I hope many women will stand shoulder to shoulder and say we are not a political pawn in the GOP 2012 Election. From state to state, town, to town remember this year and how men suddenly decided they know more about your body then you and your doctor do. We are as individual as the grains of sand. Our health Issues are many and complex. To deny us health care is barbaric. Remember this in November and vote against those who would say we as women do not matter ! No retreat women not now or ever !!!! Our health dose matter very much! Ed so good to have you back in the state where the fight for the middle class began!!
Republicans need to realize that women can think from their selves, and they do not like to be told what they are going to do, or what they should settle for. I guess they will revive women's suffrage in this country.
Who won the last time this happened?
lets send those idiots bunch of pink slips in Nov . I am woman , see me vote !
I agree... it probably won't be the "war on women" alone, but in combination with the Repugs economic policies, ie. privatizing Medicare and cutting other social programs for the middle class and poor in order to further cut taxes for the rich and subsidies to the oil companies, etc.
Add to that the Repugs alienation of Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, Gays and virtually any other minority or ethnic group outside of "rich white guys"... and the Repugs are digging their own graves.
@David H & feraltwinkie
True... the Ryan Budget is not just a proposed budget... it is pretty much the same budget the Repugs/TEApugs passed last year and then caught hell from their constituents about. But apparently they didn't learn a thing from that past mistake, because they went ahead and passed it again!
Are these guys brains located in their asses, or are they simply lacking any common sense whatsoever? One thing is pretty evident.... they simply don't care what their constituents think or want... because they are doing the bidding of their corporate bosses... the Kochs, oil companies, etc... not the average citizen who votes.
Any woman would be crazy to vote for a Republican....they want to take us back to the 1800's.
@Crackhead
Huh? Please elaborate.
KARIN - Better make sure those PINK SLIPS fit each republican out there or you have a problem.
Good evening everyone. Yes, I believe it will cost them in November. Instead of focusing on the problems that face this country, like the economy, jobs, medicare, etc., they are campaigning against women's health. They are under the mistaken idea that the year is 1950 and women are not interested in politics. It's their husbands who make the decision on who they should vote for. Those days, thankfully, are gone. Women speak for themselves and do not rely on men to tell them what's best for them. Women, today, are very much involved in politics and their rights. Republicans want smaller government, yet, they want to enter our bedrooms and doctor's offices to control what is best for women. There is also one other factor that they Republicans are forgetting, and that is the fathers, husbands and boyfriends of these women. It's not just women but the men in their lives who will vote against the Republicans.
@Pam and TMom
Yep... but the these Repug men still think we are living in the 1800s, or at least they wish we were.... before women had minds of their own and the right to vote.
@Louise Leslie
Anyone who is not a millionaire, billionaire or corporate CEO would be crazy to vote for any of the Repugs also. Those are the only "people" who seem to matter to this bunch.
DS...
I believe CA was referring to the average IQ of Democrats... Having the bigots, religious fanatics and dittoheads all move to the Republicans decreases their average IQ and inversely raises Democrats...
Shows what slow learners the GOP is. I learned 2 days after I got married not to cross her. but I still had to push some issues. I quit trying that 40 yrs ago. She's still with me 45 yrs later so I guess I learned. The GOP never will.
And why should they listen, they already know everything. Just ask them. NOT
Women, african americans, all minorities, the poor, the middle class, immigrants, people with no affiliation to the evangelical church, those who believe in peace, those who believe in economic justice, those who think education is the priority.... you name it... all targets, all worthless in GOP eyes!
@David J
Oh.... I see, though I don't think the Democrats had that many bigots, religious fanatics or dittoheads to begin with. Those philosophies have been in opposition to the basic Democratic philosophy for quite a few decades at this point... (at least since the 60s and 70s) haven't they?
I would have thought the bigots, religious fanatics and dittoheads would have already fled to the Repugs years ago, like around the time of the civil rights movement, Women's lib and Roe vs Wade. The Repugs have certainly been fairly regressive for a long long time.
Poll: Will the 'war on women' cost Republicans the White House?
Answer: Nope! it's already been lost.
"WOMEN will REMEMBER in NOVEMBER."
OBAMA will be back in the WHITE HOUSE again.
Scully:#1.10-11 Its seems they are the puppets of some of the super rich. I for one do NOT want a country run by a few corporate rich pigs. As you can take China as an example of what there is to look forward to. Not all corporations and the rich are this evil but many just run with the pack no matter which way they run, And they are like a rabid hoard of wild boars!
Thankful That Is our battle cry ! And they will here us roar in November !!!!!!
Women are the majority of American voters. Republicans have alienated a large percentage of American women.
@DScully,
Just connecting the dots.

Mountainmike, You are so right. They are playing with fire and we will make sure they get burned in 2012. Women's health care Is so important and many will die with out the so many things that Is offered to them. We are all complex machines and to not let health care be given to them is barbaric !!!! Welcome to the blog. Join us we have allot fun here!
Pam 52: Women: Remember, remember the 6th of November!
Being terminally out of touch with the majority of the human race is going to cost them the White House. The war on women is just a symptom of that disease.
Homeland Terrorists are starting to make their point known. Republicans are doing nothing to stop their message of radical fight against Women Health. Now a bomb at Planned Parenthood by some NUT JOB and where the Republican Candidates standing on this. Words don't cut the mustard, Action does. The Republicans are dead set against the President no matter what he does or say. The Republican Clowns are now in Wisconsin, Bombing away their critics and not listening to the people again. Same old Policy as before.
@Crackhead
Thanks for the clarification... I agree with all of those "connected dots".
@Pam & India
Indeed... I was just able to get a mammogram screening via Planned Parenthood, and got a clean bill of health. Which was a relief after a scare on my previous mammogram a year or so ago.
Mittens better keep his Mitts off women's health care and Planned Parenthood. We definitely have to get out the vote in November!
D = That Is Great News For You = I Mean Personally For You And Many-Many Others !!! THEY Will Never Get The Chance To Stop These Programs = We Hope !!!!!! OBAMA 2012 !!!!!!! VOTE !!!!
DScully, That's wonderful news and a great piece of mind. These Re pubs are clueless and If they had the medical issues we face day after day, year after year they might no something. I and you and so many in this nation happen to think our health is a very big thing. Mittens goes after planned Parenthood there will women across this nation who will vote I hope in November. So much is on the line and only we can stand up and go to the polls and stop there take over of America!
i am concerned about the disenfranchisement of millions of voters in republican led states.
we all remember bush v. Gore, when the count was stopped in Florida and the supreme court (daddy's friends) anointed W. bush president. the count was finished after W.'s annointment, and Gore won by a small margin, less than 200 votes. i also remember the 90,000 votes that were stolen form John Kerry in ohio (computer hacking).
in doing everything they can, the repubs are trying to steal this election by disqualifying millions of voters.
repubs would have to steal this election, because, after the contraception debacle, and their denying of the individual mandate, their idea, and other things, there is no way they would win this election without stealing it.
They have to steal the election, that is the only way they win.

TM, How can I get back to the limericks? I can't find your link.

http://lauhal63.newsvine.com/_news/2012/03/28/10910791-there-once-was-a-girl-from-nantucket?pc=25&sp=0&threadId=3381550#discussion_nav
I'm surprised any and all Republican married men haven't got their last meal as a frying pan upside their heads the way Republican politics are pushing women back into the barefoot pregnant and in the kitchen mode! 9 times out of 10 it's the women who rule the home roost. So how are the Republican GOP men able to get away with this without dire consequences at home? One way is that the GOP refuses to allow any media to ask Republican women, women like Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin, or any Republican analyst for that matter what they think of women's rights getting kicked around here. Great topic for the Presidential and VP debates!
Where are all the Republican Congresswomen and Senators in all this change against women? They seem to be real quiet. They must want to get re-elected, then secretly vote against women's rights, to please their party.
@suzette and feraltwinkie
How true... the Repugs' policies only favor the rich and corporate interests who have bought their votes. They are adversed to any policies that might appeal to the average voters... except their ignorant and deluded bunch of T-party sheep.
Since they know they can't appeal to the average voter with their terrible policies, their only other alternative is to steal the elections via several means. Whether it's tampering with the voting machines and voter intimidation like they did under the direction of Carl Rove in 2000 and 2004.
Or to prevent as many of those average voters from exercising that Constitutional right.... via renewal of "Jim Crow" tactics of a poll tax, ID, etc. In fact, it is one of the major philosophies of their (A)ALEC.... (Anti)American Legislative Economic Council.
@GaryColumbus
Somehow I don't think Sarah Palin nor Crazy Lady Bachmann would express any problems with the Repug policies to kick women's rights in reverse. Both of these women are as regressive as their male counterparts.... and probably don't comprehend what it would mean to themselves. They aren't living in the reality of other women in this country... but in their own little worlds.
@demmie
You are correct, they are all too scared to speak up against any of this. Olympia Snow is the only one who has... and she retiring now because she probably knows she won't have a chance for re-election now.
Although I think Lisa Murkowski of Alaska did comment against it... but she got T-partied in her last election and is now an Independent.... so the Repugs and T-party have no hold over her.
David
Thanks for posting the link to the limericks... I had fun and even came up with a few. One even includes you, look for Ode to grump.
If given the slightest chance does anybody think Michelle or Sarah wouldn't tell Republicans off when it's women's independence at stake? Sarah wasn't letting Republicans tell her what to do during her push for VP so that has to be why the GOP refuses to allow them to be questioned by any media unless it be fox which they control the soft-balling that Michelle and Sarah both love so much. The GOP can't control these women like they want so they keep them out of the light. Just like they want to do with all women.
It seems like the only thing Republican women in politics say is repeal Obamacare. They don't really care to discuss the important issues facing women. Why isn't the the liberal media, calling on them to explain their vote, in front of a camera? Democrat women Senators and Congresswomen do this all the time. It doesn't seem like a liberal media to me, when you can't get Republican women to say what they mean, and mean what they say about women's rights.
I think the answer is right there in the headlines.
Yes.
All women in America MUST not vote for any Repubs. They are only for rich 1 % ers. Repubs are war mongers and are hated by most of the countries in the world. They will bring America back to old days of slavery; will make more Americans poor and will make only few Americans to become rich. They will destroy America's reputation for human rights and Humanity etc etc.
I am one woman who will NEVER EVER vote for any republican!
Hey, Nan. Nice to see you. Are things going ok. I did once, but after the Reps proved to be mean spirited, must win at any cost party, when Kerry was running, I vowed I would never be a part of it. I would never belong to a part that is controlled by the koch brothers, carl rove, and grover norquest........
Yes , The NEANDERTHAL PARTY , Brought this on THEMSELVES !! Its AMAZING that they CANT SHUT UP !! The REPULSICON party IS AGAINST EVERYBODY WHO AINT RICH !! Its TIME for the 99% TO STAND UP ! OCCUPY the VOTE !! EVERY ELECTION MATTERS ! WE MUST TAKE BOTH HOUSES And the PREZ. OBAMA ! The we might GET a SUPREME COURT that doesnt THINK a CORP. is a PERSON !!!!!cafepressDOTcom/THE99percentSTRONG cafepressDOTcom/RHYPOCRIT
Hey NAN = Hope You Have Doing Good !!! Missed You !!! Sweetie !!!!!
Good evening MD/MI and Thankful! Hugs to you both! I am doing fine. Our computer modem tuckered out and we had to order a new one. I hope that both of you are doing well!
Hi Nanette!!
Was going to send you an email tonight. Soooooo glad to see you, my friend!!!! Hope all is well with you and your husband. We need your voice!!
@Sen
Unfortunately... some women will vote against their best interests because there are those with the Sarah Palin mentality. I hear that Sanitorium even has quite a following of women supporters... though who the hell knows why.
Nanette, Good evening my Ridge Runner Sister. I am so happy to see you here have been worried about you. You got your Easter bonnet ready and ready for big feast again. Last week was big news and this week seems to be the same. The GOP Do Not know what they have stepped into with this war on Women but we Mountain women can raise Cain for sure LOL! Its so good to have you back !!!!
Kathe, Good evening. Now this Is a party when the gangs all here.
DScully So good to see you this evening. True there will always be the ones who have not a clue ! They just follow as sheep!
Pam: What mountains do you live in? I agree; us mountain women take no guff! I've been MIA the past 2 weeks because I made a major proposal to NBC/HuffPo and in the process, tripped across the *perfect* job with the largest Democratic advocacy org there is! Now, I'm just praying day and night, that I get this job. Then, I can put my skills, knowledge, advocacy work and political geek-i-ness to work, evoking change through elections from the local school board to Washington, D.C. I'd also get to help with and/or learn solutions from communities. Obviously, I'm *salivating*. :^)
P.S. Hail! Hail! The gang's all here! <3
Feed The USA : I am from The Hills Of Kentucky originally and it will always be my home. Nanette is from West Virginia. We are known as Ridge Runners. Oh Feed I am so happy for you and will keep my fingers crossed. You would do a wonderful Job and are an inspiration to all of us here. I hope you can still post to us. Please let us know the good news when you here.
@Nanette
Ditto... never have voted for a Repug to my knowledge and never will. In fact, I used to vote for Democrats in ever case and where there were the choice of 2 Democrats, I voted for the woman as opposed to the man if those were the choices. But ever since Sarah Palin's advent on the national scene... I've found I need to be even more careful.
In the case of some offices such as school board or Judges, where a political party is not designated... I research those candidates on the Internet to find out whether they are Democrat, Repug, with liberal or conservative leanings. I don't want to make the mistake of voting for a woman who has the "Sarah Palin mentality"... even for the school board. Nor do I want to put a local judge on the bench who thinks the way Justices Alito, Thomas or Roberts do.
Hi Pam,
Nice to see you also. I think I missed the last couple of days last week, due to some other things I was dealing with. One of which was pampering an injured pet, etc. Now my parents will be arriving for another visit, so I will probably be sidetracked a bit by that this week.
Feed, the Democrats need a dedicated employee.....need you in the trenches. Good luck.
@FeedTheUSA
Oh... your new job opportunity sounds great.... good luck. I wish I could find some job like that available in my area. What organization is the job with?
Nanette....forgot to add your *humor*....I missed that too!!
Pam....it's always a good day when members of the Bad Girls' Club are together to kick a$$!! The more the merrier!! I see Feed is back too.
Guys....you rock too!!
Pam: Thanks much for the encouraging and lovely words and wishes. And, also for explaining about 'Ridge Runners'. I live in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. From what I've heard, they're a little taller than the Blue Ridge Mountains. (*poking fun*) I hope I'll still be able to post here too. This is my favorite place to let loose. <3
Thankful Mom: Thanks much! It'd be good to get paid for the work I do and know trenches well already. :P
DScully: Thank you. I would be based out of here but would be traveling a LOT, all over the west. As much as I want to disclose the org I'd be working for, I don't want to jinx it AND, I wouldn't want to jeopardize my chances, should there be rules re: not being affiliated w/them while posting in chats, etc. If I get hired and I am able to divulge, you can bet I'll be a human mouthpiece in this thread! (I gave plenty of clues in my original post and y'all are smart; you'll figure it out. They do have over one million members) :^)
Hi Nanny!
Hey = Feed / xxx ooo = Hope ALL Is Well !!!!!!
So So..Still breathing no breeding.
DScully, Bless your heart sounds like you have your hands full. I hope and pray your pet will be okay and everything else as well. When there's a holiday weekend the traffic is light here. I have grocery shopping tomorrow, Make my Candy Buckeye eggs for everyone on Wednesday . Saturdays baking and cooking all day and Sunday Is pull it all togeather. Monday I play on the vine all day. I want to tell you have a wonderful Easter and hope your baskets filled with lots of chocolate ! Have a blessed and wonderful Easter !
DScully, I know you'll take good care of that cat! Have a great Easter and hope to talk to you soon.
Feed The USA: I'll say a prayer that it goes well for you. You deserve it and I know you'll be great at anything you do!
Hey Pam / India !! = Hope ALL Is Well !!!!!
MD/MI Its almost Midnight in the Buckeye State I will turn into a pumpkin If i don"t call it a night LOL.You have fantastic evening. Tomorrow Is DAY 38 AND STILL NO ARREST OF GEORGE ZIMMERMAN! Good night to everyone! Wisconsin Give Walker a pink slip!!!!
Pam = Sleep Well = Give walker THE BOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Stomp Him On The Curb !!!!!!!!!!! After-all He Probably Already Wears A Pink Slip !!!!!!!!!!!
@Pam and India
Yep... my Siamese kitty Cheeky Chi has been having a hard time the past week, limping around on her hind legs. She's an older cat and very delicate as it is. I'm not sure if it's just a flare up of arthritis or an injury, but she can't jump onto chairs and other places she usually is able to. I've taken to carrying her around the house and lifting her onto chairs, etc.
I've doubled up the dosage of joint enhancer I add to her food and even glued some magnets to her collar. I have magnetic bracelets, etc that help my occasional aches and pains, so I thought they might help her also. I'm also waiting for a delivery from Petmeds with some homeopathic pain relievers.
do magnets really work????
Not If You Have A Chip Embedded !!!!!!!! Pfzzzzzztt=PHzzzfzzzzztttt = POOF !!!!!!
@tc
They sure do... at least they work for me and some other family members and friends I've sent magnetic bracelets to. They may not work for everyone, but I have gotten relief from joint pains, etc. within 15 to 20 minutes of putting on magnets. Magnets have also helped me with headaches and sleep disturbances.
In fact, I've been having problems with stiffness in some of my fingers.... especially when I'm on the computer, playing games like solitaire, etc. I recently found a metal ring and added a magnet to it, and it takes the pain and stiffness out of my fingers within a few minutes of putting it on.
Of course you have to be careful with wearing magnets if you have any type of mechanical device like a pace maker or diabetic insulin pump, etc.
Well I Know MANY People That Dont Use Magnets For Their Stiffness !!! Just Sayin' !!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN2VNFpiGWo == A.D. Journey
D = Sorry = I Just Couldn't Pass That One UP !!!!!!
It Isn't April 1st Anymore = Not Until Next Year !!!!!!!
DScully I have Arthritis real bad have for many years. I use to use Aleve till I saw it could hurt my Kidneys. I did some reading and watched DR. OZ and decided to try Glucosamine. It has worked wonders. I take it in the morning and and move like a ninja all day LOL! I tell you that Artur moves in and just won"t leave LOL! You might check with your Doctor but I will not begin day with out it. I hope your cat will purr like a kitten soon and get better. Have a wonderful day. I have to get my duds on and head to the stores and buy all the Easter food and the trimmings. Catch you this evening.
dScully
I take Vicodin like Dr house but it doesn't work too well/ I've seen the magnets in health food stores but thought they might be a scam. I'll get some today for my knees.
Pam I almost destroyed my kidneys with Ibuprofen. I was taking them like M and Ms and ended up in the hospital because of it Aleve does the same thing stay away if you can.
TC, The dentist gave me some vicodan and it didn't work as well as tylenol, plus made me half nauseated.
I am lucky to be healthy but when I was a medic, I hurt my back and I have chronic pain. I never put much store into magnets, but maybe I'll try one, too.
Alleve does NOTHING for me for pain.
DScully, and TC, I went and bought a pretty magnet bracelet. I got the one that is open and has gold balls on each end. It is silver and gold. I heard they had them at Walmart and they did. (I hate Walmart but I ran in and out fast.)
Well, I did get a loaf of Raisin Paska bread. (Easter bread). I'll go to confession Saturday.
and fancy feast for the cat and face cream and m&ms. Then I ran out. (Lying would make for a longer stay in the confessional.)
@Pam, tc, and India
Yeah... my Mom has arthritis really bad and makes sure to take her glucosamine and chondroitin every day. I've tried those in the past, but I have a hard time with the huge pills... I gag on them. I've also tried liquid formulas like Joint Juice... but I don't remember to take it regularly.
But I've had a lot of success with the magnets... almost immediate relief when I put them on... whereas the G & C takes time over days and weeks to work. The joint enhancers I give my kitty in her food are basically a G & C formula for cats.... they have something similar for dogs. I wish I had known about it years ago when my little beagle dog was crippled with arthritis.
tc, I definitely recommend trying the magnets... and if you have a Walmart nearby, they usually carry a variety of bracelets for both men and women at a reasonable price. Let me know if it helps.
India... I know I hate shopping at Walmart also, but there are some things they have that I can't get anywhere else... or at least I haven't been able to find them anywhere else. Plus my kitties like their cat food best. That is also where I've gotten most of my magnetic bracelets... they are usually only around $5 to $6... and they used to have quite a selection for both men and women. I have quite a variety of different ones that I've gotten over the past 5 or 6 years.... including one that sounds like the one you got. Hope it works for you.
@MD/MI
I finally got the chance to watch the video, very good. But what does it have to do with magnets or not?
DS....
Admit it... The only reason magnets work for you is because of your attractive personality...
David J
LOL.... it's a possibility, or it may just be my iron rich blood.
DScully
found on my recent trip to buy magnets

tc
Wow... interesting pictures. You never know what strange things you'll find at Walmart.
I certainly hope the "war on women" will keep Republicans out of the White House, Congress, the Senate and ALL offices right down into the local elections!
Obama 2012.
Feed The USA, Wonderful to see you this evening. I wish this attack on us was a nightmare we would all wake up from. Whats happening to people who respected women ? Where has those people gone to in America? We have so many wonderful people and then we have the fringe who would destroy a nation!
Seems the GOP must have at least one war going!
Pam: Nice to see you too, (and to be back)! I don't know what's up with people but let 'em keep talking. Democrats will be able to capitalize on the idiocy of the GOP returning to the '50's. I just hope there's a redress for the atrocious laws being passed, via the courts and/or overturning legislation when the Dems take things back over.
xxx ooo: I laughed so hard when I read your post! Yep! You're right. They have to have somewhere to put their fears and aggressions. Out of Iraq and into women's bodies. Helluva' move. I don't know why they want wars they can't win or afford to pay for. They'll lose this war too.
FEED The USA, I think the Re pubs are stuck in Reverse ! Got news for them we women have came along way since the 50s and we can hold our own! A nation is suppose to look to the future and dream not the past and relive it all over again!
Pam: I agree. Did you happen to see Dylan Ratigan talking with physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson? It was a really *cool* and energetic discussion about looking forward!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37560195/#46933263
@Pam
I think we are long past seeing any sort of chivilrous behavior from Repugs, if the lack of such from any of the current GOP candidates can be used as a measure.... when Sandra Fluke was being attacked by the likes of Lush Limpdick aka Extremely Loud and Incredibly GROSS.
@xxx ooo & FeedTheUSA
I guess the war on women will have to do them, until they can get the war in Iran ramped up real good.
Of course they need some kind of war going in order to invoke the fear mongering needed to keep their core sheep, er... base in check.
@Pam & FeedTheUSA
We've come a long way Baby.... AND WE AIN'T GOING BACK!!
I missed part of Dylan's show today, I'll have to take a look at this. Thanks.
Feed I did not get to See him, Thanks for posting. I am watching Lawrence and Trayvon and the new details. I hope we see justice soon I have been counting the days! I think the wheels are turning finally. But will watch you link.
DScully You are so right ! They are like the party that are passing abusive laws towards women and have no remorse in doing so! They have made there GOP bed and Now they will forever lie in it !!!!
It sure could cost them the election. At least, if it were true. As a totally made up propaganda piece- it will depend upon the ability of people on the left to fabricate, blow out of proportion and sensationalize to create said image. So far, it hasn'r been successful with anyone but the staid and true goofball viewers of the Ed Show and MSNBC
Scully
I would gladly throw my cape over a water filled pothole to keep your shoes dry.
Awwww.... thanks tc. How chivalrous.
@tc
By the way, why are you wearing a CAPE?
I don't when I'm clark kent lol
TC,....huh uh,....Kent doesn't have a white beard.
Admit it, you're Santa Claus.
@tc & India
I wondered if the reason might be something like that. Santa Claus would be good too.
I have to play him at Christmas they are too cheap to buy a fake beard. The little kids have to pull it to see if it is real. When they do I tell them not to expect any thing under the tree. lol
tc
You make the little kids cry?
It better cost them the White House. Any woman who'll vote for these crazies is not thinking straight!! We've fought too hard to gain the voice we finally have to give it all up.
The difference between Obama and the Republicans is that the President stands on the issues and has and will and the GOP just keeps on spinning in hopes of winning!
The REPUBLICONS have NO PLAN !!!
xxx ooo -That's all they can do,hope (NEVER !!!!!!).
It's hard for Republicans to have hope, when all they preach is FEAR, its diametric opposite...
@David J.
So true... of course, fearmongering works with their conservative base. It works on that part of the brain, the Corticomedial_amygdala which has been found to be usually over developed in conservatives. Hence... they respond to fear and suspicion more readily than liberals. Included are some interesting articles on the subject.

P.S.
Keith Olbermann got axed from Current? Good grief.
TOYBB, No, actually the Republicans DO have a plan: They plan to make themselves richer at our expense, pollute our air and water, deregulate Wall Street and the big banks, and continue to give taxpayer subsides to BIG OIL.
Oh yeah, and they plan to take away safety nets for seniors and eliminate Planned Parenthood. They have BIG plans.
@DScully,
Still waiting for the retraction for as you put it "GW Morons" additions to the National Debt as opposed to Obama's. My numbers came straight from the US Treasury's website. Did you know you can put the dates in when Presidents were elected and when they were actually inaugurated and get the National Debt to the penny on those dates? I say GWB added 4.8-4.9 trillion to the national debt in eight years. Obama has surpassed that in less than four years. You said you got your info from the US Treasury. Prove It.
@Drill
You still don't get it... the increases to the National debt during the past 3 years of President Obama's administration are still being caused from GW Moron's policies, not President Obama's policies. Everything President Obama has done HAS BEEN PAID FOR... NOT DONE WITH BORROWED MONEY!
On the other hand....
The Bush Tax cuts.... are still in effect thanks to the GOP and driving the deficit up.
The war in Iraq.... was still in effect up till just a year ago, and the interest on the money GW borrowed from China is still adding to the deficit until it is paid off.
The same goes for the interest on the money GW borrowed for the war started in Afghanistan, which he then left without accomplishing catching Osama so he could start an even more useless war in Iraq.
Then of course, there is the interest on the money GW borrowed for the big Pharma taxpayer giveaway... which also left a big doughnut hole in senior citizens drug plans. GW claimed it was supposed to help senior citizens, but apparently NOT.
At least Obamacare fixed that problem for senior citizens... unless the ACTIVIST GOP JUSTICES decide to kill it and seniors will go back to having to rationing their medications or doing without.
As long as these debts of borrowed money still exist, the interest on those loans will continue to increase and add to the debt. And these loans will never be paid off... as long as the GOP insist on NOT TAXING MILLIONAIRES, BILLIONAIRES, AND GIVING TAX CUTS AND SUBSIDIES TO CORPORATIONS AND OIL COMPANIES. The GOP's budget plans will only increase the debt at the expense of the 99%.
DScully, DRILLBABY needs to read AFTERSHOCK, by Robert Reich.
Every republican needs to read it before voting in November. Independents need to read it, too. It is an amazing book.
TC, I knew I was right about Keynes! Read the book! You like economics. You'll love it. People like you and Pam will be hurt so badly if Romney wins and the Ryan plan passes. It is a killer. Don't prejudge the book.
@India
I need to read it also, then give it to my Dad. He's convinced for some reason that a Flat tax would be the best one for the country, and every time one of the idiot Repug mentions it... he agrees.
India
I am very familiar with Reich he is a full blown socialist (that's OK but not for me) He was not trusted by Clinton for economic advice he was appointed as secretary of Labor not secretary of the treasury which is the usual job for economists. Clinton appointed Robert Rubin who is mostly responsible for Clinton economic success. Rubin was Chairman of Goldman Sachs ( heard of them?)Tim Geitner also from Goldman Sachs is Obama's treasury secretary ( see a pattern here?)
Reich has in my opinion bastardized Keynes. Keynes was a capitalist who was trying to moderate the business cycle which he thought could recover and reach equilibrium at a level lower than previously. He postulated that fiscal policy(deficit spending to be paid back later when the economy recovered) could be used during the recovery following a recession to jump start the economy to a higher equilibrium level He never intended for fiscal policy to be used for social goals and only used during recessions. Reich wants to use the tax system and fiscal policy to further his social goals of redistribution you will find that a theme in his book. Here s the guy who did the Clinton miracle and it was not Robert Reich
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Rubin
Clintons other adviser but who was not a cabinet member was Felix Rohytan. Clinton paid him back by making him ambassador to France
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felix_Rohatyn
Keynes himself would not have been happy about his name being used to as a social progenitor.
Wonder what the women under the employ think of Obama? Rumor mill has it that his female charges are pretty disgusted with their treatment. Reported on by just about every news org except MSNBC
@tc
Actually... I have to disagree. The best kind of Socialist is a full-blown one. Unfortunately, President Obama is only half blown... if that, in that direction.
The reason the 99% is still in the situation it is today with this huge economic disparity, is because Presidents Clinton and Obama have both put Goldman Sachs cronies in charge of economic advise. No wonder Wall Street and the banks are doing so much better than the rest of us on main street.
There would have been far more economic recovery and equalization during the Clinton administration, if Reich had been given the appointment as economic adviser. And if both Clinton and Obama hadn't chosen economic advisers in cahoots with Wall Street.
Rusty
Actually... that is an old LIE that was started and reported EXCLUSIVELY AND ONLY on the Fox propaganda network. Other trolls have long ago made their rounds, trying to spread it here.... and it didn't work then either.
But I'm sure the ignorant and gullible viewers of Fox will fall for it again... why don't you go try it there?
D Scully
I can't argue with your beliefs because that is a personal thing that i stay away from unless dragged in. Reich is not very well thought of by academic economists but is well thought of in progressive circles as an advocate. i do share you understanding of the Wall Street connection and you are to be congratulated by acknowledging it exists unlike others here. . Democrat Presidents have always said one thing and done another economically with the exception of Jimmy Carter. Obama got almost a 2 to 1 advantage over McCain in wall street donations. They don't like socialists much there and are not stupid so they must have known something. .
Scully- you can always get lies to work with people of like mind as yourself. Heck- just read some of these blogs!!!!
Every time I hear Reich, I know what's coming. It's far left, Progressive propaganda. This guy is a Socialist every way you look at him. This guy is poison to liberals.
@DScully,
I hope some day that you will have some way to defend your viewpoints other than to demonize Fox News. If Fox News is your only comeback, that's pretty sad.
It's a test, really. Let's see how many husbands or fathers actually empathize with the needs and expectations of their wives and daughters. I don't have my hopes high, indoctrination has gone a long way in this country, people vote against their own interests because of racism or extremist views, how else can you explain a joke like W being re-elected?
Let's see though, I hope people wake up and send the extremist republicans back home where they belong and let rational people make policy.
The GOP has done enough damage already, enough is enough of their medieval, harmful views. You have them talking about terrorism but then their hate talk results in violent shootings or Planned Parenthood buildings being burned, a textbook definition of terrorism. They talk about Christian values but they care more about the dollar than they care about helping others. It's all a sham, a fraud, a harmful philosophy that has brought the middle class to their knees!
Enough, no more of their fraud!
Paul Krugman had a lovely article today in the NYTimes about Paul Ryans Pink Slime budget. He points out just how fraudulent the republicans are.
IQ test.
Fail.
Feraltwinkie, The Republicans are becoming transparent as glass. We see right through them and the games they are playing.
@Open Range
Yes... there probably are many husbands and fathers who don't empathize with the needs and expectations of their wives and daughters or have their best interests at heart. They are either religious extremists or they just don't get it like Robme.
Some of the factors you named led to GW Moron's re-election, along with a lot of help from voting machine tampering, and methods of voter suppression. The Repugs have been using those techniques for decades, long before they recently reconceived the idea of actually passing laws to suppress the votes of certain groups.
It's true... they disguise their hateful philosophies and beliefs in the name of Christian teachings. The problem is... Jesus Christ never taught the hateful philosophies these extremist Repugs/TEApugs adhere to. They do however follow more closely the opposite view, and the influences of the prince of darkness.
@feraltwinkle
Its been called a 'mystery meat' budget. Where's the beef?
looks like Kentucky by 7. Rock chalk JaaaaaaY Hawk Peeeeee U
@DSully,
Are you really saying that husbands and father don't have the best interest of their wives and daughters at heart? Maybe you need to look into the hatred in your own heart at Conservatives and the Republican Party?
DUHB = Maybe The tea-baggin-gop = Need To Look Into Their Own Hearts OR LACK-OF !!!!! Ha Ha Haaaa = Never Seen So Many Heartless FOOLS Within The American System !!!!!!!
@Drill
I believe I said "many" husbands and fathers, not all. I am also speaking from personal experience to some extent and with specific knowledge of men I have known who don't take their wives or daughters feelings, or best interests into consideration.
I also gave the reasons why they don't consider women's best interests... because they are driven by their own personal beliefs to the exclusion of considering anyone else.... or because like Robme... they don't have a clue about what women need. So you can shove your sanctimony... are you telling me I interpreted my own experiences with these men wrong?
OPEN RANGE: You must read Tommy Frank's book, WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH KANSAS? It tells how they get people to vote against their own interests over and over even when they get hurt. Amazing book.
OR
I know it is a progressive mantra that we vote against our interest. That is a false premise it means the we should want giveaways and redistribution. We don;t and what we are voting for is basic principals not our own selfish interest . It is possible believe it or not to vote principle over interest. <S>
A vote for the ryan budget is a vote to redistribute the wealth from the middle class to the wealthy and a vote for giveaways to immensely profitable corporations. TC you may not like giveaways or this restribution but I think we both know you're not the republican party because it well...does
CC
youre right about me but and it is a big but i am against such things because they are inefficient not because of a social agenda as i don't have one I just want maximum bang for anybody's buck. .
Ryan is trying to fix what he sees as looming economic problems that could force us into a corner like Greece and he has thrown out his way to deal with these issues. The fact is they MUST be dealt with sooner or later. Different issues have different due dates or points of no return but sooner or later they will all arrive. He is smart enough to know it wont fly for a number of reasons but the first one is it is the Presidents job to produce the budget not congress . when there are two budgets lying on the table then they can go through issue by issue and give and take like they always used to do you get the highway I get the bridge that sort of things. You are attributing false outcomes to his proposal. i actually watched the hearing on C-SPAN and you would have been surprised how much the CBO chief economist agreed with him . That being said his budget may pass but we all know it is DOA in the Senate. So wtf why bother talking about what is never going o happen anyway. the talk should be on what budget CAn be passed.
FOR you and the Keynesian believers please move the cursor to 2hours 13 minutes into the hearing. Also the first 15 minutes is a good understanding of whre we are in between is a lot of posturing by both sides very little real information just point scoring. I have been saying the Keynes has been hijacked by those with social agenda like redistribution from what he originally proposed. The man testifying is in my opinion one of the two smartest people in the government . The CBO is about as non partisan as it gets s you will be able to tell by the directors answers .
http://www.c-span.org/Events/CBO-Director-Discusses-Economic-Outlook/10737427773/
@tc
Unfortunately you are not considering the fact that since Ronnie Raygun's cockamamie idea of "trickle down", wealth has be "redistributed" from the middle class to the rich, and was put into overdrive during GW Moron's administration.
And unfortunately with not much relief during Clinton's administration in-between... thanks to his Goldman Sach's economic adviser who looked out real good for Wall Street.
So until opportunities are equalized in this country again.... some redistribution of wealth is definitely called for in the other direction... from the 1% to the 99%. They've have achieved a huge amount of their wealth as a result of Ronnie's take from the poor and give to the rich policies.
scully it is generally known that 1% of the population contribute 36% of all taxes collected . How much should they contribute in your opinion 100%? and the other 99% free ride???
http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/250.html
I have no social agenda "socialist" keynsian or otherwise never waste my time with such accusations I take them quite seriously.
Ryan fails to fix the looming economic problem he is so concerned about that's the point people are making. In reality this country will never pay off all the debt ever we already have too much. Luckily the money we owe doesn't actually exist....I have said many times that I believe we need to shut down the global banking system and replace it with one that makes sense. You know the system is flawed when a tiny, little country like Greece which hasn't contributed anything to western culture in over a thousand years can have international impact.
Also if we're in so much debt then what do countries like Tanzania or something have? Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks it's odd that the us and europe are supposedly drowning in debt even though we're supposed to be(and are) the richest countries on the planet.
Constitution 101 the legislative branch(congress) has the duty to collect funds to support the government and deciding how to use those funds. The executive branch idealy should not be writing any budget, congress needs to do its damn job because what they are doing now is just allowing the execute to use more powers. If not this then what is congress' job?
what percent of the nation's wealth do the 1% own? We have a progressive tax system so you're simply playing politics with that because you should know by now we do not use sum total. Maybe if 1% of the population didn't own a vastly disproportionate amount of the nation's wealth you might have something.
You damn right they're paying 36% that's what happens when you control so much of the money
The GOP has portrayed any discussion of going back toward Clinton era tax rates ie rates where the rich pay more as stalinism or redistrubtion of wealth. But it's the GOP that has been engaging in redistribution by taking the prosperity of the middle class to give it to the top , and once there it of course never really trickles down. Rich people have gotten much wealthier than the middle class over the past decades, trickle down economics only really benefits rich people.
Why should we put up with decreases to science, education, social safety nets, tax breaks for the middle class, medicare/medicaid and other vital services to help people who have more than enough money to begin with? The right wing politicians need to stop catering to the rich and oppose tax cuts for the middle class. No one has any right to complain that the 36% tax rate(w/deductions available) on the 1% is unfair when they control more money than any other group
it comes down to this, the trickle down economic strategy and the ryan budget are failures. Paul Ryan's plan to balance the budget doesn't get around to balancing itself until 2040, that is not acceptable. If that's the best we can do we should quit now
You better believe it! GO Obama!
Women's rights are just a symptom.
The GOP has decided to abandon reality and jump off a cliff in unison like overcrowded lemmings.
Criticism and disaster have been the only republican contributions for the last 10 years.
I think its Grover's Koolaid I don't want anymore or any Tea!
Grover Norquist Electric Cool Aid Acid Test. Mmmmmm. Yummy.
Tastes like Lemon Pledge! And they drink it Right up, Polish it off and ask for more! Why I think they have taken a shine to it!
Yes, I do believe the republicans war on women will cost them the White House, possibly the House of Representatives as well. Since women vote in greater numbers than men, it is going to make a big difference.
Mitt may have more PAC money, But Obama's got a BIGGER purse!
99% of the women and some men carry a purse.
Val: And the GOP is gonna get whacked by that purse!
@AGentlRose
Oh yes... there are also many reasons that the GOP should and hopefully will loose the House. The same reasons they will loose the White House, it won't be just the "war on women" alone, but in combination with the Repugs economic policies, ie. Ryan Budget privatizing Medicare and cutting other social programs for the middle class and poor in order to further cut taxes for the rich and subsidies to the oil companies, etc.
And again add to that the Repugs alienation of Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, Gays and virtually any other minority or ethnic group outside of "rich white guys"... and the Repugs are digging their own graves. I can't wait for Speaker Pelosi to be back in the driver's seat in the House.
@xxx ooo
President Obama also has a bigger (and better) personality, bigger (and better) empathy, bigger (and better) understanding, bigger (and better) brains, bigger (and better) ideas, bigger (and better) compassion, bigger (and better) sincerity, bigger (and better) foreign policy experience..... I could go on.
And the most important thing, He's got big shoes and you know what that means!..............big feet!
@DScully,
Please go on. Did I read what you said right? Bigger and better foreign policy? Let's ask Israel, our supposed ally in the Middle East. Oh yeah! We've got your back. It's a big bulleye and we're going to stick the knife in it.
DUHB = Do You Believe In The Biblical Writings ???
@Drill
Yeah... you read it right... BIGGER AND BETTER FOREIGN POLICY. Instead of starting huge wars that cost trillions of dollars and soldier's lives... President Obama was able to assist the Libyans in obtaining their freedom from a Dictator in a better way, that cost a lot less... did not cost any American lives... did not take years to accomplish and left the USA in a better light in the eyes of the rest of the world.
Now President Obama is using diplomacy and sanctions with Iran instead of rushing in with bombs and soldiers as every GOP candidates seems to think is the only response. Of course, the use of diplomacy takes intelligence and reason... qualities neither of which any conservative seems to possess. But then again, conservative brains haven't developed beyond the primitive stage... which probably explains it.
http://www.salon.com/2010/12/29/conservative_brains/
Specifically, the research shows that people with conservative tendencies have a larger amygdala and a smaller anterior cingulate than other people. The amygdala — typically thought of as the “primitive brain” — is responsible for reflexive impulses, like fear. The anterior cingulate is thought to be responsible for courage and optimism.
By the way... President Obama's policies regarding Isreal are identical to those held by GW Moron... and he has said all of the same things regarding such. It is only the complete and utter lies you have been sold by Limpbrain, InSanity and O'Really and all of the Fox and Flunkies that have given you the idea President Obama is an ally to Isreal. So go get THE FACTS before you come in here and question me.
A war with Iran with or without nukes may happen anyway. The government in power there is feeling the same troubles of all of the others in the middle east an uprising by the people. But if Israel is in trouble Iran will take a higher toll if they start something but they are crazy enough to do it as a last grasp to maintain power. But they must strike first, And pray they don't have a nuke on one of the many missiles they will launch at Israel or the USA I fear NYC may be their target. So we had better get 007 on the job. I hope the people over throw the government in Iran but as they have tried before each time they were pushed back, Next time I think the US and others must step in and help. But not an invasion more like we did in Libya. Syria is a whole other can of worms I wish the people in Syria could have waited until the stand off with Iran was over but its too late for that now. Two conflicts but not three just spreading things to thin on a small budget and a burnt out military. I wouldn't expect too much help from NATO as most of those countries are worse off than the USA financial. But if they strike first they have sealed there doom and maybe ours. Our President is wise in his ways and has made China more of a friend than foe if they were to jump into a war and sided with Iran it would kill us as sure as drinking poison slow and painful and would bleed us dry and we would die from a poor economy. One step at a time and pray time is on our side.
@xxx ooo
Don't worry.... President Obama's anterior cingulate, responsible for courage and optimism, is HUGE!
xxxooo, Israel isn't going to nuke Iran. Iran is at least three years away from a nuclear weapon and is not suicidal.
@India and xxx ooo
I agree... besides the fact that they know if they seriously make any move to attack Isreal... the USA will stomp them into the ground before they can chant "Allah is good."
I just saw John Stewart interview someone (I can't remember their name) who had written a book regarding the situation with Iranian, and they were saying how totally scared the leaders of Iran were when the US invaded Iraq and captured Saddam.
They were apparently so worried about the same thing happening to them, that they sent a letter to the Bush WH, saying they would let investigators come in and view their nuclear program, etc. Apparently Bush turned them down, because he wanted to invade Iran next and didn't want a truce or agreement of peace getting in the way. What an @!$%#!
No the Republican's war on women will not cost them the white house.....speaking of wars you'd think they'd know by now not to drag the nation into these stupid fights without any plan.........but this will not cost them the white house. The GOP's radical dominionist base and its far right social demands will cost them the white house. The party's repeated journeys to imagination land will benefit Obama.
The candidates? Conventional wisdom would say no one could lose to a president with this high unemployment but the GOP has sure found the team that could do it
If you want higher unemployment vote GOP!
Cynical, let's not forget who brought us the unemployment we have today. Since Obama became President, the unemployment rate has fallen and continues to fall.
Val
since small business do the hiring do you think they are hiring now because they like Obama?
@tc
More likely they are hiring because the tax cuts President Obama has given to the middle class and poor workers have given those people some extra money to spend, boosting those small businesses enough to hire on some extra help. Supply and demand.
not a bad answer demand is up . What i watch is the consumer confidence index and it has been rising lately.
TC, I am begging you to read AFTERSHOCK.
been there done that unimpressed. sorry.
got cut off
Reich completely ignores one of the basic principals of an economy it is the math formula the Savings =investment. investment is required in order fr an economy to grow ( that is obvious no?) There has never been any argument by anybody of the role of consumers in a vibrant economy. Reich want to supplant the dollar votes made by investors with taxes followed by government chosen investments this is a basic socialist view. I for one want dollar votes to come from private investors not government bureaucrats. This is a highly technical issue. But a simple illustration would be a wealthy individual buys stock in company because he believes it will attract customers. If it does not he loses his money. Reich wants the government to pre pick companies that make what the bureaucracy wants built solyandra is a good example. Private investors did not believe it was viable so they did not invest leaving the government to do it because of a social goal not a efficiency goal. Technical i know and im not too good at explaining. You see there is a big difference between maximizing an economy through private means and using an economy to perform social goals. Not for me i don't trust the government to decide what i want i will perform that service for myself. i will rely on the free market to punish poorly run companies and bad products and reward the rest. It is the only proven way move society forward . Remember the industrial revolution was private and so has been the computer revolution.
No Democrat should count that as the "only" issue that will win them the White House. You can't sell yourselves short by just running on that one issue.
If Mittens wins the nomination he'll flip again!
adamcrook, I think the President has proved to us that he is one of the smartest, diligent, compassionate, patient and responsible President this country has had in many decades. You can be sure he will not just focus on women's rights, but jobs, the economy, foreign policy, seniors, minorities and educating our children.
Exactly but unfortunately many people on the left will try and do this with the women's health issues because they're constantly following around the right on a reactionary strike strategy. Instead highlight the budget plans and stop letting the right claim that Obama will raise your taxes, that is the republicans who will raise middle class taxes and lower the upper brackets tax rates.
Highlight their lack of understanding on foreign policy. Santorum and Gingrich like pretend Obama has let Iran get the nuke, in reality stopping the Iranian nuclear program for ground would have needed to happen during GW's eight years where he did nothing. It was the GOP innaction that lead to this now, the Obama sanctions are doeng more than the GOP has ever done to slow them down in Tehran. Show them the enemies of America that the GOP was appeasing for all those years and then show them all the enemies Obama has killed. Moammar Qaddafi is great example Bush took them off the terror sponsors list because Qaddafi claimed he would stop pursuing the nuke, course they still funded terror. Gee that's called appeasment. Remember the Republican congressman who had diner with him, remember Donald Trump offering him a place to crash when he wanted to speak to the united nations.
Highlight the fact that America has not become less respected because of what Obama has done.
Highlight the fact Obama has deported more illegals than GW ever did.
Highlight that domestic production of oil is up.
Highlight that our allies who matter ie Europe, not Israel sorry if it wasn't because of the combined influence of America and Europe there would be no Jewish state at this very moment........Europe respects us more, at least they're not laughing at us like they did GW
So you can see that the last guy they had out for us as president did everything worse than this president, this president has not been amazing. Obama is not a strong progressive and has been too weak on stopping the patriot act and sucking up to the banks but Romney who's stuck in some Norman Rockwell paint and can't stop putting his silver foot in his mouth........Newt Gingrich aka the most shameless politician in decades(send him to the moon)......or Sanctimonious Santorum who is a dominionist theocrat and will institute an age of rule by the church.......
It seems to make sense to the GOP to make the BUSH tax cuts even higher to create jobs! after 10 years it didn't work because they weren't deep enough.
Yeah totally! Same with oil and gas prices, they haven't gone down because we haven't drilled enough or given enough tax breaks and subsidies to the oil companies which are profitable all on their own......
Or we haven't acheived world peace because we need to start more wars of choice in the middle east....yeah that sounds about right..........
@Valerie
Most definitely!
yes it will. we will not bow down to their stupip request.
RACHAEL - If you did bow down to them,I would have to SPANK you just for doing it.
Ted i do know how to stand my grounds I hope you know! LOL
RACHAEL - Not if you bow down you don't.If you do bow down,that's when I will turn around and SPANK you ( just for doing it ).
Ted... are you picking on girls again?
DS...
Ted is just letting us know, his fetish of choice is Bondage and Discipline...
Mine is Voyeurism... Can I watch, Teddy? Can I? Please?
Actually, I voted 'NO' because I think all the other things that the Republicans have been supporting were enough to cost them the election. The 'war on women' is just another nail in the coffin.
So many I can't keep track and every day they insult some other group!
@nmscorpions
I think most of us who voted YES realize that it won't ONLY be the "war on women" issue that takes down the GOP's chances of winning the White House..... and the Senate, and keeping their majority hold on the House.
It will be a combination of all of their failures and bad policies that contribute to their loss... but the "war on Women" are a huge contributing factor to their plunge in favorability polls with women in particular.
It will cost the Koch Brothers even more!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!
Would love to see the Koch brothers spend billions of dollars on Republican campaigns. It's time to see the Koch brothers standing in soup lines. I hope that they are the last 2 people in the line and when they extend their soup bowls to be filled, they will hear these words, "sorry, but we just ran out, you'll have to fend for themselves."
XXX OOO, Bankruptcy of those brother's would be monumental ! They have used there money not for the good of this nation but to undermine it. They have turned our elections in to a money ball game. They are destroying our education. They are buying the climate change scientists and they are up to there necks in oil across this nation. How In the name of Heaven did two brothers get so much power in America ? Most of our problems begin and end with a KOCH!
Valerie, Wonderful to see you here this evening. I hope you are ready for Easter? There has been so much great discussion past few weeks and we need you to put your two cents in. But its a wonderful surprise when you just appear. Valerie you sure you are not the Easter Bunny LOL Made you laugh!
Pam/Val: The Koches have many more billions but stand to make more worldwide in corporations. If we have the form of tax and regulation we can make more jobs in the US, Not all the rich are like the Koches and believe in Obama's policies Microsoft is part owner of MSNBC and there are other companies in the US that we need to keep here I will not buy any Apple products because of the slave labor in China and look at the price mark up on Apples goods, Its shameful! The Koches had a rich daddy!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koch_family
Note near the bottom how much they spent on the 2010 mid terms!
XXX OOO. You are correct that there are those who have a heart and a decency to do right by the American People. But the Koch money is being used to undermined this country. No matter how much they have , when its time to leave this world they will not leave with one dime. Its like in the song by Randy Travis. THE THREE WOODEN CROSSES. He says its not what you take with you but what you leave behind you when you go. I wonder In the words of a rich man do they ever give it a thought?
Pam How could they? Or maybe they are so cocky they think they can cut a deal. God said to love him and fear him. And love each other....Or maybe some think its better to rule in Hell that to serve in Heaven. I don't think I could tell them because they don't want to listen. They will find out soon enough,Indeed!
xxooo, Early in 2000, the Koch bros. had been fined 35 million for deliberately and illegally polluting in 6 different states. $800,000.00 to the Bush campaign fixed that and saved them from prison. They still faced 352 million dollars in fines, but John Ashcroft, in the Bush "justice" department saw to it that all 90 counts were dropped! How do you think this amoral duo will behave if Romney takes over?
If you want clean air and water, don't vote for the Romney/Koch bros. ticket. No matter who runs with Romney, they will be who you'll be dealing with, and they don't give a damn if they poison you.
INDIA, Your here! I got my deserts figured out. Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle, Peanut Butter cheese cake, and for my chocoholics, a Missississippi Mud cake.
India, The Koch's are a dishonest bunch and who ever hitches there wagon to them are cut from the same cloth. We have to clean out the crooks from our politics and bring it back to decency and a Government for the people by the people. WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF ALL HE LIES!
GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL! They can hide the truth, spread the lies but we have a window of opportunity to get ahead of it! We can not stop what has been put in motion but we can prepare for the inevitable. And we must move away from fossil fuels and quadruple green energy !
Hi Pam, I've been around. I put my two cents worth in a few times last week. Been kind of crazy here. Suffering Spring allergies two months early thanks to the winter that never really came. I live in Minnesota and we had 80 degree temps in February and several 80s in March. I've lived here all my life and we are used to having blizzards in March. Last year we had 86 inches of snow and this year we have had around 16 inches. Instead of shoveling, we are out mowing the grass. Never in my 61 years have I seen this. The trees are getting their leaves, the grass is green and all of the ice was off the lakes in mid March, people are canoeing, kayaking and boating instead of ice fishing. Crazy. I do try to check in here each night, but it's been kind of late when I check in thanks to the weather. You might not have noticed me because of the time.
Yeah, I'm here, but about to pack it in. I am reading Robert Reich's AFTERSHOCK and going to get back to it. I love how the Koch bros. parade as Christians! What an amoral bunch they are. A vote for Mitt is a vote for Koch.
I'm coming there for dinner, the trifle settled it. I don't know what Miss. mud cake is but I am sure it'd good. I really like red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. Well, my mouth is watering now! Have a good one.
Hey, Val, we posted at the same time! Nice to see you.
thank God for global warming i did not have to go to Florida this year. lol
India Val, Pam
are you trifling with me???????
Haven't heard from you in a while TC. Hope you are doing well. Have been suffering from Spring allergies. However, we are definetly been enjoying summer weather. We are going to Floriday the second week in May. By the time we get home our pool should be open. Looking forward to having our Grandchildren visit us for three weeks in June. Take care.
Val = Hope You Dont Get SHOT !!!!!!
Trifle...
... drool, drool...
OOwww = Trifle = Slobber Slobber !!!
Hi India, good to hear from you too.
MD, I doubt I'll get shot. I don't fit the profile of these deranged vigilantes. I do wear hoodies from time to time, so who knows.
Val = I Certainly Hope You That You Will Be Just Fine And Enjoy Your Visit !!!! I Did NOT Mean To Wish You ANY Bad Luck = Quite The Opposite !!! I Just Made A Statement As To The Situations Going On Within This Country = I Wish You Well And SAFE !!!!!!!!
@Valerie
Here is my dream for the Koch brothers. A major stock market crash which effects their particular stocks and business interests, causing them to loose everything. They hold hands, take a leap from their pent house patios and go SPLAT... SPLAT!
Oh=OH = SPLAAATT= PING =SQWAASHED !!!!!
@India
Just like Georgie Z has counted on his retire Judge Daddy Z to get him out of trouble and charges dropped when he had a lapse in judgement. So the Koch brothers expect their money and Repug cronies to get them out of trouble for crimes against the people, the environment and the country.
@India
The Mississippi Mud Pie I've had consisted basically of layers of chocolate brownie with chocolate pudding in between, topped with chocolate sauce or hot fudge. At least that is how I remember it, though it's been awhile.
Scully, OMG, heart attack on a plate! I'll pass no matter how good it is!
Trifle, ...........drool......slobber.......water....
Pam52, Do you make them the way the English do? Drool........slobber...

Yeah... it's pretty rich and definitely a No No for diabetics. Of course, I don't know if Pam's Mississippi Mud cake is the same thing to what we call Mississippi Mud pie... I'm just assuming it's similar.
DS...
That is why I post pictures of trifles... It's about as close to them as I can get...
0 Carbs... 0 Calories... Just memories... <sigh>
David, I am so sorry about all this sweet stuff. The Mississippi Mud Cake Is so rich. Chocolate and Marshmallows and more Chocolate. I little piece goes along way. I do not bake like this all the time. Thank heavens. On the lighter side away from the cake the Strawberry Cheese cake trifle, and the Peanut butter Cheese Cake, Oh I forgot the Buckeye Eggs and the Rice Crispie Bunnies. I do have a fruit platter, and a veggie Tray. LOL I have quite a meal planned and will cook till the cows come home LOL! I heard Romney and Sanatorium say there speech's and I do not know about you but I just don't here them anymore. There mute !
I became so ticked off at Mitt Romney for his non-stop lying, I put him on mute... I wanted to change channel at 10PM, and missed it by a few minutes because I wasn't watching Mitt preen his feathers...
@David J
LOL.... I did the same thing. I can't stand listening to those 2 idiots anymore. When Mitt was going on and on, I muted him and wrote this limerick about him.
After Mittens won Wisconsin,
he stood blathering on Ad nauseam.
His speech, laced with lies
was on free enterprise.
Boasting tax cuts for the rich Ad Laudem
David

Welcome back MD has been working overtime!!!
Val: If I may ask where in Mn I was a Mn boy for 25 years and you can take the man out of Mn but not Mn out of the man!
xxx, I live in a Northwest suberb about 15 miles NW of Minneapolis. I was born and raised in Minnesota, however, I spent a good part of my life on the East coast since my Mom was born and and raised in New York. I spent Christmas in Connecticut, New Years in New York, and summers on the Jersey shore. Not a bad childhood.
I lived on the Iron Range for 25 yrs than Denver Colo/Hot Springs SD/ Fargo ND. I bleed Purple. Love the lakes and trees in Mn thanks for the info. ND has voted GOP in the mid terms and GOD I hope we can get back two seats and not lose the other as Kent Conrad is calling it quits. Poo that make 3 democrats in two elections.
xxx, we always go to Duluth on the North Shore twice a year.
Well valerie and xxx ooo sheesh us minnesota type folks just might take over- i also am born and raised in MN and know that most of this silliness around the country would get LOCKED DOWN in MN , so from brooklyn park hello and friend requests are sent.
And yes i think this war on women will be a large hole in the ship these guys are using to sail with.
I have caught a lot of fish on Lake Vermillion at my friends summer home.
TC, I trifle with you but can't speak for Pam and Val. LOL
We are debating a Winter in FL this year, but Fl has gotten so bad with all these Republicans.....Don't know if we should enter enemy camp.
What part of FL do you go to? We lived on Hutchinson Island and Jensen Beach.
E coast. N of W. Palm.
I lived on the intercoastal in Melbourne and have been trying o get back since. The company is was working for went B K and i had to leave. i loved it there.
Do not mess with women. They do not forget.
Hear! Hear! I absolutely agree, I'm 63 with excellent memory over the years.
lorie 60, Women: Remember, remember the 6th of November!
If Mittens wins Wisconsin do you think we will have a Scott Walker sighting?
Women need to run for elected office EVERYWHERE. It is time to take back the power we have given up.
Cherie B, Truer words have never been spoken! In order to have a voice we have to be at the table. I say its Stiletto time and kick them in the shins. We are not political pawns for any politician!
The only woman Mitts gonna have is his wife on election night!
XXX OOO, Glad she can put up with him. Even if he losses he still has the bank account in the Caymans, That Huge house complete with car lift. And don't forget his wife's Caddy's. Even if he looses he will never have to find a job. I mean what Is plan Parent hood to him? Just political rhetoric that's all he could give a damn about the women who depend on that clinic !!!
PAM - I have a pair of 12EEE STEEL TOE BOOTS if you want to borrow them,i'll let you.
TED, These Boots were made for walking !!! Now those could kick some Behinds for what they are doing to women! Are you making that wonderful Lasagna for Easter ? Saw on the news where your weather there was suppose to be bad! Hope your okay.
PAM - It's suppose to hit later tonight if not tomorrow.Right now it's in the 60's up here with an overcast of clouds.But like I said - if you want to borrow those boots,i'll let you.
TED, You stay safe out there ! we had awful weather here on Friday. What ever starts on your coast heads our way. This has been such a strange Winter and Ihave feeling we are In for a very hot summer ! TED I would put your boots on and kick there sorry behinds for sure. LOL But There's No climate change So they want you to believe. I cannot remember the Island But they have moved everyone there away from the coast because the seas are rising. They will be climate deniers, women Deniers, Job deniers! They truly are the party of DO NOTHINGS !
Pam 52, They don't exactly do NOTHING.....they LIE a lot! That counts as doing SOMETHING! LOL
India, Your right about that. The lies they have down to a T. Say it loud enough and long enough ! Then they hope the sheep will follow them to the cliff !
Pam, You have MD/MI, me, and David drooling over that trifle.
@Pam and India
I've heard of trifle, but don't think I've ever had it... and I can't remember what it is. Anyone want to describe it for me?
I pray to the real God, that these zealot christians, ( small c intended), are all defeated throughout our Free America.
Amen Lorie.....they don't even know...WWJD.
Thankful, they should be asking themselves WWWD (what will women do.)
Hi T-Mom, I love your posts, and glad to be a friend. Thanks
Mutual Val, and Lorie. WWWD.......VD....VFO/B12
DUMB question,of course it's going to cost them.It just shows you how STUPID the GOP really is today.I guess they don't want the white house,GOOOOOOOD !!!!!! Then the Democratic party /OBAMA shouldn't worry about loosing it then.
TED , Good evening. As you well know you make a woman mad and you have released the hounds! We as women do not forget and I would not vote for a Republican if they were the last party on Earth! They have showed this nation what there bottom line is and who there supporters are and the middle class is just an inconvenience for them! Nov. 2012 will Be there judgement day at the polls! Apparently The GOP Do NOTneed a woman cause they sure have angered them on all sides of the isle!!!!!
PAM - I would rather voe for a THIRD party before I vote for a republican.
TED, The Republican Party and the Tea Party are one in the same. They have became a disgusting and vile group. Why would anyone In America want them as a political party ? I would vote for a martian first !
PAM - I didn't vote for any T-PARTY candidates anyhow.They are a complete JOKE in my opinion and the way they want to cut government out of our lives,good luck because it ain't going to happen no matter how you look at it.
TED Old Buddy, Old Pal I know you would not vote for them. They are a distraction and have taken the Republican party down the Rabbit hole. I am a democrat and damn proud of it. I really am not sure what Progressive, and other party's are. There are only two no matter how you slice and dice it. You are right in that there will be those who will vote against there best interests come hell or high water !
Pam, it's called brain washing, ignorance, and bigotry.
Pam 52, Progressive is nothing more than another way of saying Liberal, without the unwanted baggage.
@Cosmic Chuck
I agree... Progressive is now what we have called Liberal, but what "unwanted baggage" do you associate with Liberal, may I ask?
Other than the Repugs attempts to turn it into a dirty word by tacking on the modifier "bleeding heart" and associating it with commies and socialists. But then they do that with anything that has to do with the Democratic party, ie. President Obama, Obamacare, the health care mandate, Cap and trade, etc.... even though all of those used to be Repug ideas!
Of course, no definitions that Repugs give can be taken seriously, since they are simply blowing smoke out of their asses and are the biggest hypocrites ever.
They need to be removed from all levels of Government.
If we could only pull that off, Kathe.
KATHE/TACOMA - Just hope that it does happen,I would LAUGH if it does happen.
@Kathe & TMom
Just think of what could be accomplished without Repugs/TEApugs in government, and their constant obstruction.
