On Monday, April 2, Ed is hitting the road again! This time, he'll be live in Madison, Wisconsin, on the eve of the state's presidential primary.
He’ll be hosting The Ed Show live from the Great Dane 123 E. Doty Street from 7 to 8 p.m. local time (CDT).
With the presidential election and the Walker recall at stake, it should be a fantastic night to talk politics!!

On the advice of many of his past emplyoyers it's great to hear that Ed is finally hitting the road. On to Wisconsin, the "Cheese State", that's a good place for Ed. Don't know if he's a Packer fan or as they say "Cheesehead" but I hear many say you can see cheese on the sides of his mouth once the overproduction of testosterone triggers one of his tourettes-syndrome outbreaks. And being that most times he's talkin out his ass, I'm sure there must be cheese stuff stuck to his boxers.

I'm just busy writing checks to support Scott Walker to counter the Union money flooding the state. I am happy to cancel my family vacation this summer (Obama's increasing energy cost helped make that dscision) and send our money to Walker's campaign. It is my desire to save Wisconsin from the hate filled left (read Schultz) and greedy unions. I see it as my civic duty.

From The Netherlands I can't see The Edshow other than online. But the last week the online registration is completely distorted. Items of last night are mixed up with items from other nights and sometimes even with items from other MSNBC shows. This is only happening on the Edshow site. Not on Rachel and not on the Last Word.

Unfortunately, we have an entire generation who grew up with a steady dose of media propaganda against our poor. This was necessary to enable government to pull the money out of human needs funding -- basic humanitarian aid to Americans -- for more important stuff, like paying off the taxes rightly owed by the rich. Believe it or not, people once thought that being poor was the result of poverty, and that poverty was caused by a range a real life factors. (Before Reagan, most Americans would never consider utterly turning our backs on the poor fellow Americans.) But the only way to prove the success of the right wing was to maintain that we have enough family-supporting jobs for everyone. Therefore, we no longer needed to provide aid, concluding anyone receiving it was just too damn lazy to work. It states right within Wisconsin's policies that our state government accepts NO reason as legitimate for being jobless, and in spite of a significant shortage of family-supporting jobs, and the loss of so many opportunities for ordinary people to obtain the training/education required for those jobs, we despise the jobless to the degree that we can and do let them die in the streets (noted only in those tiny filler items on the back pages of newspapers as, "Body of homeless male/female found...).
Then Robme should give back all the money he recieved for speaking fees. Oh, don't forget the Nester and all house and senate menbers, Presidential candidates and every other politician. But then why would anybody but Ed get speaking fees??? Some people just don't want to grow up and face reality.

I live about a half hour east of Madison, but won't be going to Madison on Monday. Busy. Schultz is too class-specific (a.k.a., inclined to pandering), limiting his programs to the better off, middle class workers (he did recently mention the "working poor"; things are hard for them, but even worse for all those who don't have jobs, especially in WI and some other states that have effectively dehumanized the poor). Heck, if you're employed AND still middle class, you're doing great! My concern is with my neighbors, fellow Wisconsinites, those who aren't. Pandering to what's left of the middle class is just this year's favorite flavor among the well-off.

The Tea Party broccoli argument against the health care mandate is clearly bogus. Brocolli is not the food just a component. You don’t have to eat broccoli but you will have to eat food to live. The Govt cannot mandate you to have a coverage for fever or a specific illness or disease but you will be a needing a form of health care someday and will therefore be in commerce, hence the gov’t has the constitutional right to regulate and thus mandate you to have health care coverage.

Health care is a broken money grubbing system and if you have ever had to deal with an insurance company over anything of substantial cost you would know this, Not to forget doctors order tests and way over do it with redundant tests by not looking at your medical profile. And frailer to communicate with other doctors more cost to you and your insurance company driving up costs. There are things you can do if you have time and do your own research by finding prescriptions from different pharmacies as I did at the one my doctor suggested was $250.00 month I got the exact same one at another for $25.00 I had procedure that would have cost $75,000 but I found a hospital that was closer and cost less $50,000 a mere $25,000 dollar difference. The insurance company was willing to pay the difference and did not even once suggest I had other options. Do you think health care is in trouble because people walking into the emergency room alone? Unfortunately health insurance is owned and is a Wall Street investment and the only thing that matters to those people is the bottom line and they could care less about your health or what it costs as if you drop your coverage they just raise the rates on who's left. Nice!
i just wanted to say that because of the democrats and some republicans with the president included.. msnbc just put a good report that jobs are hiring alot of college grads... so thank you mr. president obama for fighting for the middle class.

If "Obamacare is struck down its the same thing as saying that WE the People vote for a president and our votes don't count. Furthermore if Mitt was president would he send the mandates to the states? But even if the mandates were sent to the states and many of them already in financial trouble would take the money from Medicare and Medicaid and apply it so solve their financial short falls. Let me ask you this every time money changes hands what happens to it? This would not be smaller government and every pair of hands it passes though they take a cut and if it makes it way to the people who depend on this will be cut short again. and the other thing i'm afraid of is the mandated (trans-vaginal ultrasounds (trans-vaginal probes & the vaginal probe is for when she decides for health reasons to get an abortion she can't object to her doctor not to putting that ultrasound wand inside her), voter id laws (that would prevent poor people from voting even if it means they deny this right to reblican voters who may not have a i.d), de-funding of planned parenthood, the blunt bill - she also has to tell her employer about what purposes she is using contraception, woman that needs cancer screenings will have to find another clinic because the states are currently trying stop funding for planned parenthood(in texas (r- rick perry), they must have a outer ultrasound and must be given a ultrasound pic and this list goes on.. If anything, the obama administration should've had an opposing argument against the republicans on these issues. however, i did see his youtube video about planned parenthood, thanks to rachel maddow for bringing that to light.

Not true on 2 counts.
1. Obamacare does not provide basic medical care for everyone. That would be a universal health insurance system. Obamacare would provide access to health insurance for everyone.
2. It is not a system that has eventually bankrupted every major country that has tried it. Most countries have universal health insurance, not Obamacare. And, universal health insurance has not bankrupted them.

CNN's Faheed Zachari (sp) had a very informative program last week on health-care around the world. Switzerland has a plan similar to the one proposed here that is working. It is not perfect, but it is a major improvement.
