There are no blood splatter on Zimmermans jacket (FRONT). remember Trayvon was shot in the chest according to the police reports. That mean Trayvon was standing in front of Zimmerman. Where's the blood? If you go back and listen to the 911 caller, she said her window was open, her blinds were closed, and she could hear screaming outside. As shes speaking to the 911 distacher, the scream of Trayvon Martin are faint and distant at first, as Trayvon was running pass the callers window, the screams of Trayvon get louder, and then they go back to being faint and distant as he passed her house up.......all of a sudden POW!!! That was the sound of Trayvon Martin being shot in the back. All witnesses say Trayvon was laying on his stomach, and Zimmerman was straddled on his back, after the shot was fired.

Zimmerman said Trayvon smashed his head to the pavement, police said he was cut in the head -- scalp wounds bleed a lot, especially when you've been exercising or fighting because of elevated heart rate and blood pressure. Zimmerman fired the gun - a 9mm packs a punch. Ok. If a man is on top of you and you shoot him. Bang. Blood is all over you. Where is the blood on the FRONT of Zimmerman's clothing from shooting a man who is on top of him? Forget the wet shirt thing. In a scuffle, gun shot at close range with a 9 mm. There's gotta be blood.

MJB, yes, ,even a small cut on a head can bleed immensely. My then 5-year old daughter fell and hit the back of her head against the corner of the coffee table. All I saw was the blood pouring out of her head - her hair was soaked and matted within seconds, and her Hello Kitty sweatshirt was drenched - ruined completely. I was on the phone to 911 when my husband managed to part her hair enough to see the wound itself. He told me to hang up and come look. I still can't believe the superficial little cut. It was small and not even deep. This guy's head was supposed to have been slammed into pavement. There should be SOME blood, bruising, swelling. How about the nose? I've had broken noses. They gush and they ruin clothing.

Because he said in the call 'he is coming towards me' as if he wanted the dispatcher to think he was going to be threatened by Trayvon. If he was coming towards him then why did have to chase him down?

The distance and amount of blood spatter depends on many factors - if the bullet hit an artery or not, distance between shooter and target, if the target was on top of the shooter, whether the target was moving, in what direction and was he turning...

If the fight occured as Zimmerman claims, he should have plenty of spatter - Trayvon was on top of him, closer than three feet (gravity would have helped), his body should have flipped onto his back, unless the shot spun him around... the blood spray should have been all over him... The stipling (powder burns) around the entry wound would be considerable...

If Zimmerman was !0 feet or more away, the spatter would be minimal, droplets instead of spray... Finding any would require closer examination, which the video can't show...

Back in the 70s, I wanted to be a forensic pathologist, but I couldn't stand dissecting dead things... I was too empathic, and felt the pain of cutting into once living things too acutely...

David, Good Morning. Thanks for giving some light to the spatter. This is my observation. I donot believe anything Zimmerman has said. He followed and when Trayvon turned around and said why are you following me? He already had his gun in hand and Trayvon saw the gun and screamed and ran and Zimmerman pulled the trigger. Only confrontation is a young man scared to death because this man was following him and his girl friend said run. We have yet to here for sure if he was shot in the front or back while running. I have thought forensics would be awesome career but could not handle what they have to do. The people who do this work are an amazing group and I commend them for there dedication for finding that needle in hay stack. I hope Trayvon was not cremated because they may need to exhume the body and get the info not taken at the crime. My heart goes out to his parents because its as if the trigger has been pulled over and over and and the man who killed there son is still free.
